GL WEEK OF MAY 18, 2009 RECAPS

Week of Monday, May 18, 2009

At the park, Remy saw a body floating in the water and was shocked to see that it was Edmund. After pulling the body to shore, he gave him CPR, took the pulse and called 911. Remy was unable to revive Edmund and placed a blanket over his body. Later, Mallet showed up. Meanwhile, Reva took a nap; Josh went to the chapel; Dinah got out of the shower. Shayne paid her a visit. They quickly made up and had sex.

At Cross Creek, Reva woke up. Jeffrey broke the news to her that Josh stopped by to say that he fears Edmund is back on the prowl. Reva panicked after she heard about Josh's trip to Italy and surmised that he was right all along about about Eddie remaining a threat. Later, they ran into Josh outside of Company and Reva excitedly told him about her cancer-free news. He was distracted but told La Shayne that he's happy for her. "Once again, it's been proven that Reva Shayne is indestructible," he cracked. Reva thanked Josh for warning her about Edmund before. He brushed it off and said he knows that everyone is going to be safe now, adding that he's sure of it. Reva was miffed when Jeffrey suggested Reva continue to be watchful of Edmund. She refused to let Eddie's lingering threat scare her into a life of solitude, holing up at home by herself out of fear or skipping town just to avoid him. Josh agreed with Reva, saying that's exactly what Eddie would want; Jeffrey was confused.

Back at the scene of the crime, the police secured the area. Mallet praised Remy for his quick thinking and suggested that there might be a spot for him on the Springfield PD again. Remy was about to hand over Edmund's coat to the authorities when a handful of flawless diamonds fell out of the pocket. Remy kept mum and put the jewels in his own pocket before giving Mallet the coat. Remy recounted what happened and mentioned that he and Christina heard voices earlier during their picnic. Mallet asked Remy to have Christina call him. Both men surmised that Eddie had been killed but couldn't rule out an accident.

In bed, Dinah asked Shayne if he's reconsidered telling Mallet and Marina the truth about Henry. He said he's not ready, but thanked Dinah for her support. They both apologized for their behavior. "This is your decision and I'm behind you 100 percent," Dinah said, adding that what they have together is too valuable to lose. They fell into a loving embrace and then Mallet called Dinah with news about Eddie. Dinah quickly hung up and told Shayne that Edmund's dead. Shayne raised several questions and asked if Eddie had drowned. Dinah pointed out that Mallet advised her not to jump to conclusions, but said she thinks Eddie's death is a good thing because he was dangerous. Later, Shayne was struck by how collected Dinah was, reminding her that she was once in love with Edmund. She pleaded her case, saying she's just ready to chalk it all up to a mishap and never talk about it again. Shayne then surmised that Dinah thinks he killed Edmund. He assured her that he didn't see Edmund today. "I don't care; as long as he's gone," she responded.

Josh got a call from Shayne about the news and he quickly relayed it to Josh and Reva, who were both shocked. Jeffrey was interested in the "complicated" case; Josh wondered why any of them would want to get involved in the first place. Reva was unsettled, but very calm. She said she needs to go check on Colin at the babysitter’s and immediately departed. On her way there, she walked by the scene of the crime where she saw Mallet. She made a quick turn-about and left before Mallet could approach her. Meanwhile, Jeffrey began questioning Josh's whereabouts and visa versa. They both said they were nowhere near the scene of the crime when Eddie showed up dead. Josh did say, however, that he might leave town for a while. "Take care of Reva. She's going to need it," he told Jeffrey.

Remy went to see Christina and apologized for being late, explaining that he discovered Edmund's dead body. Christina was concerned and comforted him. Remy thanked her, adding. "You make everything better."
