Natasha warned Cyrus to recover the diamonds — or his life will be worthless. Cyrus reported for his job at Company, where he waited on Christina. She mentioned Remy had proposed again — with a big diamond — but she turned him down. At the police station, Frank wondered if Remy's diamond case could be connected to Mallet's murder case. Cyrus suddenly appeared and grabbed a file from Frank. he noted that Remy not only found Edmund's body, he was alone with the corpse. Back at Company, Marina urged Christina to marry Remy, but Christina said she and Remy are better off divorced. Later, Remy and Cyrus visited Company, and Clayton stopped by. He was not embarrassed to tell total stranger Cyrus that he lost all his money in a con and had to let his son pay off his mortgage. But, Clayton noted, his money had mysteriously reappeared, so he paid Remy back in full on the spot. Later, at the mini-mart, Dinah overheard Christina tell her grandmother about Remy offering her a huge diamond. Dinah overheard and asked to see it, but Christina said Remy sold it.

Jeffrey visited Shayne (and Dinah) to report that Edmund had been cremated. Shayne said Reva was in charge of Edmund's remains (since Jonathan was Edmund's closest relative). Jeffrey then summoned Josh, and suggested that Reva destroying the body looks bad. "We're gonna set me up to make it look like I killed Edmund," he announced. Jeffrey was convinced that Edmund is alive and framing Reva, and the best way to solve the case is to frame himself.He pointed out that some evidence pointing to Reva could also point to him. Jeffrey assured Josh that before he's convicted he will "go on the run," nab Edmund and bring him back. He just needs Josh's help setting up some clues. At Cross Creek, Reva gave her watchdog cop coffee and the paper, then noticed Mallet rooting through her recycling. She asked him to drop the charges. He agreed — if she tells her family to start telling the truth. Shayne arrived and sent Mallet away. Shayne then went to Company to yell at Marina because Mallet was harassing Reva. Marina pointed out that Reva has lied about everything. Mallet returned to the station, to lament that can't prove Reva is innocent because everyone is lying for everyone else. Christina stopped by, looking for Remy, and asked Frank if the diamonds could be the key to murder case. Later, she contacted Mr. Doyle, the pawn broker to whom Remy sold his diamond. Cyrus told Remy that Christina told him about proposing with a diamond, and suggested that Remy will lead them right to the missing gems.

Jeffrey met Josh in the park and gave him a bag to set their plan in motion. The bag contained a shoe, which Josh took to a muddy area near where Edmund was murdered and made and imprint with it. Dinah happened to wander by, and approached him. She said she feels drawn to area of Edmund's murder, and wondered if the police missed anything. Later, Remy told Dinah he's worried that Cyrus is on to him. She realized he's in trouble — but Cyrus must have a plan. A while later, Remy found Cyrus hanging out on the bridge, and said he knows Cyrus is on to him. "Screw it," Remy said. "I've got something to show you." Still later, an upset Shayne confessed to Dinah that he has been lashing out people who don't deserve it. He said the whole murder scenario is turning him back into the kind of guy he doesn't want to be.

Josh went to the police station and told a surly Mallet that he has not been honest with him. Josh said he doesn't want the wrong person to pay for killing Edmund. He revealed that he found something at one of his construction sites. He handed Mallet something wrapped in paper. "Someone was driving a rental car on that same property," Mallet announced, gravely.
