It's the day of the Bauer barbecue. Bill, Lizzie, Frank, Blake and Rick set everything up for the picnic at the Bauer place. They told Daisy and Rafe to go fetch the drinks from Company.

Phillip went to Cedars, where he shared an emotional moment with Lillian, who got teary when Phil pointed out that it will be his last July 4. She was concerned when she found out that James wasn't planning to attend the barbecue. So, she called James and begged him not to go on the trip with Alan, saying that being with his family at the barbecue is more important this year. He told her he's not interested and hung up. Lillian got a bright idea, however, and made a phone call posing as Alan's secretary, claiming that Spaulding is postponing his trip and sent the airplane pilots home. Surprisingly, it worked. When Alan found out, he was livid that the pilot took the day off and told James their trip is off.

Olivia called a stressed out Natalia to say that Emma's eager to get to the barbecue and wondered why she's late. Nat covered, saying she's running behind and won't have time to meet up to tell Emma about them before the party and suggested that they just see each other there. Liv was bummed, adding that she wanted to enter the barbecue together. Nat insisted that she couldn't make it on time. They said they love each other and hung up.

Phillip recruited Daisy to persuade James to spend the day at the barbecue. She went to the mansion and saw him playing video games. She did her best to encourage him to join everyone else at the party and make him feel better about his arrest.

At the Bauer pad, Billy and Mindy arrived. Everyone joked around and began playing games when Danny and Michelle showed up, with Robbie in tow. "Everybody eventually comes back to Springfield because it's such a magical place," Blake smiled. Frank and Blake were annoyed when they realized Rick hadn't purchased any supplies for the barbecue yet. They went on a grocery run. Meanwhile, Phil showed up and greeted Danny and Michelle. He made the point to talk to everyone and enjoy every moment. Michelle went to go catch up with Bill and they shared a sweet moment. Michelle was excited for her pal's upcoming nups and wondered when Bill and Lizzie are going to start having kids. Phil reminisced about the old days with Danny. After, Phil walked around and happily observed the scene. The Four Musketeers took a photo together. Later, Olivia and Emma arrived. Rafe inquired about his mom.

Blake saw Nat on the street. Nat was clearly flustered and admitted she still doesn't know what to do about her pregnancy situation and hasn't told anyone yet. Blake again vowed to support her, then ran into Company to grab some supplies when Alan entered. She kicked him out and told him to come to the barbecue. Meanwhile, Nat went to the quickie mart and started to cry when she saw some diapers. Frank noticed her and asked what's wrong. She brushed off his concern. She was surprised when he said Rafe is going to the barbecue. She thanked Frank for being such a good man. Frank returned to the party and assured Liv that Nat is coming soon.

Alan went home and told James he's trying to find a new pilot for their trip. James decided to go to the barbecue instead and flirted with Daisy.... Mindy and Billy shared a nice moment. Mindy wondered if Billy is going to reunite with Vanessa. He told her that even if he did remarry Vanessa, Mindy would always be his number one girl.

Natalia sought solace at the chapel, where she ran into Father Ray. He was eager to get to the barbecue himself to see Danny and Michelle. Nat asked him for advice about her difficult situation. Father Ray was blown away by the news and said he doesn't think God is punishing her, but admitted he doesn't have an answer for her. He suggested she go away for a while to figure things out.
