OLTL Recaps Week of February 12, 2007

Asa came to see Viki and urged her to speed up her romance with Clint — mainly
so Clint would stay away from Dorian. Viki noted that who Clint chooses is
up to, well, Clint. Asa told her to use her "feminine wiles." This was
Viki's cue to leave so she could meet Clint at the Palace. Lindsay then
arrived and tried to stall Viki by saying she needed help with a charity
event. Lindsay was horrified when the random cause she picked had meaning
for Viki and made her cry. Viki agreed to help; Lindsay confessed that she
made up the event in order to keep Viki from meeting Clint in time. Viki was
angry, but not at Lindsay.
Meanwhile, Dorian hung around at the Palace. Clint arrived and Dorian
invited him for a drink. He noted that he's waiting for Viki, but Dorian
offered to "keep him company." Later, Viki finally showed up; as Dorian
left, Viki gave her the death stare. Dorian realized that Lindsay had
blabbed about their plan.
Starr and Cole met in secret at the coffeehouse. They lamented having to
sneak around. Blair was furious when she caught the teens together and
dragged Cole away from her. Starr was humiliated by the scene Blair was
making.
Miles came to see Marty and asked her to be his shrink. She was suspicious
of Miles's intentions. Miles couldn't believe she thought badly of Spencer.
"He had evil in him," she stated. "You're saying he was possessed?" Miles
cracked. Miles argued that Truman was trying to protect himself. They were
interrupted when an angry Blair barged in with Cole. She threatened to get a
restraining order against the teen.... Miles hightailed it out of there and
went to the Palace.... Starr told her mom that she's going to be with Cole,
no matter what. Blair explained that she doesn't want to see Starr get hurt.
John confronted Natalie about doctoring the crime scene. She explained that
she was doing it to protect him. He reminded her that what she did was
criminal and was hurt that she'd suspected he was Spencer's killer. He was
also furious that she compromised the case. Still, he didn't intend to
arrest her and planned to let Bo decide what to do with her. McBain wasn't
sure what this meant for their relationship.
Nora's house continued to burn as she lay unconscious on the floor. Matthew
screamed at her to wake up; she did, and panicked as she looked around for
her son. He was trapped on the second floor and began to choke on the smoke.
Nora wrapped a blanket around herself and crawled upstairs and grabbed an
unconscious Matt. Bo soon arrived on the scene and got both of them out
safely. He was extremely shaken; an understanding Talia tried to comfort
him. After, the fire chief reported that the blaze had been started on
purpose; they concluded that it had been the work of the arsonist. Bo
believed that the late Drew was keeping an eye on his little brother.

Antonio informed Nash about Jessica's upcoming interview with Miles. After
Jessica left for work, the guys planned for Nelly Furtado's appearance at Capricorn. They then discussed how Jessica's been acting differently.
Meanwhile, as Miles went through Spencer's clothes, he imagined himself with
his deformed appearance. Jessica, carrying coffee for the both of them,
bribed a bellhop into letting her into Miles's room at the hotel. Miles
glared at her as she perkily introduced herself. Jess asked about his
relationship with Spencer; Miles responded by showing her his old "before"
photos and stated that Spencer saved his life. Jessica quizzed him about
what Truman had been like back then, but Miles didn't want to discuss him.
At the station, Natalie literally bumped into Talia. She informed Talia that
something is bugging John about the Truman murder case. In his office, John
looked over the forensics photos with a magnifying glass and noted how some
fibers on the scene were missing in the second photo. Natalie panicked when
he called in an official to examine the case further. The woman, Lieutenant
Johnson, reported that Natalie had been at the crime scene.
Meanwhile, Vincent brought Natalie hot chocolate, but she spilled it all
over her desk. She again admitted to him that she fears she'll lose John if
John learns of the terrible thing she did. Later, Miles paid John a visit
and insisted that he didn't have anything to do with Spencer's death.
Rex was impressed that Adriana knows Tate Harmon. At the diner, she
introduced them. Rex invited Tate to join them and got all fan boy on him,
asking to take his pictures.
Nash met up with Jessica, who was working at the diner. She asked for Nash's
help coming up with a lead sentence. Didn't she attend journalism school?
She finally came up with, "He's handsome and he's wealthy and he says he
owes it all to Spencer Truman, who was murdered last week in Llanview." Nash
was confident that she could get the goods on Miles.
Nora, who was suffering from a bad cold, came to see Marty. She asked if
Marty knew who killed Spencer, but Marty insisted that she didn't. They
discussed Blair telling off Marty; Nora could understand both women's
reasons for being angry with the other. Marty then admitted how difficult it
had been coming home to Llanview after Patrick's death, only to have to deal
with the Spencer case and Cole getting into trouble. Later, Nora went home
and took cold pills ... just as the arsonist set her home on fire. Finally,
the fire alarm went off and she awakened to see flames licking at her
windows. As she went to use the fire extinguisher, she was thrown back by a
big explosion.

Starr read a bedtime story to Jack. As she read aloud, she imagined the
people in her life in the various roles: Todd as the king who tossed his
unfaithful queen, Blair, in a dungeon; Evangeline as a princess King Todd
planned to marry instead, and Cristian as the knight whom Evangeline loved.
Dorian, by the way, was Blair's servant, Cole a knight and Starr, naturally,
a princess. All of the characters spoke in British-sounding accents.
Princess Starr and Sir Cole happily kissed upon greeting each other. "This
is pretty good, right?" Starr asked Jack, as she came out of the fantasy.
"If you like kissing," answered her brother, à la the little boy in The
Princess Bride, who was being read a story by his grandfather. Back to the
story: Princess Starr demanded that her father not chop off Queen Blair's
head. Todd wouldn't listen so Sir Cole comforted her. The king wasn't
pleased she was in love with a commoner, noting that he's arranged a
marriage for her. He had his guards toss Cole in the dungeon. After, Princess Starr and
Princess Evangeline complained about being royalty and being stuck in
arranged relationships. Soon, Cristian and Dorian arrived, promising the
princesses that they'd help them get rid of King Todd. Dorian returned to
the dungeon and informed Cole and Blair that she planned to poison the king.
Queen Blair, however, wanted the king to live. Later, Evangeline told the
king that she wanted to marry Sir Cristian, but he refused. Dorian went
ahead with trying to poison the king's wine, but Cole — who'd escaped the
dungeon — stopped him from drinking it, explaining that the Queen wanted him
alive. King Todd was so touched, he reunited with the Queen and announced
Princess Starr and Sir Cole's and Princess Evangeline and Sir Cristian's
engagements. Back in Llanview, Starr enjoyed the story, but Jack, not so
much.
Next, came Natalie's fantasy. As she read a novel, she imagined that she,
Rex and Roxy were archeologists — from the 1940s — exploring an Egyptian
tomb. Roxy and Rex wanted to steal the treasure, but Natalie insisted that
anything they take needs to go to a museum. They reluctantly agreed. The
hieroglyphics showed that the pharaoh died of a broken heart because a man —
who looked an awfully lot like Vince — killed his true love. Natalie found
the pharaoh's heart and returned it to the mummy; he then awoke from his
slumber and noted that Natalie looked exactly like his late wife. Nat
instantly fell in love with him and they kissed. As they made out, Rex and
Roxy tried to make off with the treasure, but the pharaoh warned them that
if they leave with any treasure, they're all doomed. Rex and Roxy quickly
dumped all the goods — though Roxy forgot to remove the earrings she'd tried
on. Oops!
As Jessica read to Brennan, she imagined herself in a Wuthering Heights scenario where she was conflicted over her husband, the upper crust Antonio, and the stable
Boy Nash. Antonio visited Nash in the stables and invited him to move into
their home; Nash refused. After Antonio left, Nash and Lady Jessica kissed.
Later, Antonio reported that an ill Jessica was calling out for Nash.
Antonio wasn't angry, noting that you can't choose who you fall in love
with. He agreed to let them be together. Jessica feared Antonio would be all
alone, but Nash was confident that Antonio would find someone to love him.
Jessica's servant — Talia — then declared her love for Antonio, while Nash
and Jessica planned their life together. Jessica snapped out of her fantasy
and sadly stared out the window as Antonio rested alone in their bed.

Evangeline came to Todd's office and brought him breakfast. He admitted that
without Blair, he wasn't doing so well. Blair came by and gave him her
resignation from the paper. Todd refused to accept it, but Blair insisted.
Bo again confronted Rex about Spencer's murder, believing that Rex is
covering for someone. Bo quizzed Adriana about who Rex is protecting.
Adriana insisted that her boyfriend wasn't helping someone out, but Bo still
wasn't convinced. After, Adriana worried to Rex about what would happen if
Marcie and Todd learn the truth about Tommy. Rex planned to find out how
John's investigation was going so he could keep him from finding out about
the child.
Nash and Bree met Clint at the Palace for lunch. Clint noted that Bree looks
like her mother, which was a little odd since the baby has brown, curly hair
and dark eyes. Regardless, he was surprised when Nash called Jessica the
mother, rather than Tess. He warned Nash not to get confused.
Jessica guiltily thought of her steamy encounter with Nash. Viki, who was
visiting, suspected that something was bothering her, but she told Viki that
she just needs a new job. Viki invited her back to The Banner, but Jess
refused. Nash then came by and reiterated how he has feelings for Jessica.
Jess reminded him how she loves Antonio.
Antonio was pleased to see John back on the force and helped him decorate
his office. John looked at Spencer's autopsy report and noted that Miles is
yet another suspect. Natalie tried to tell John how she'd doctored the crime
scene, but kept getting interrupted. Rex then arrived and told John to drop
the Truman case, but John was determined to solve the murder.
Adriana thanked Todd for printing an article touting Rex's innocence. She
was surprised when he stated that Dorian put him up to it.... Jessica asked
Todd for a job. He gave her her first assignment: to investigate Miles.
Dorian joined Clint in his booth at the Palace and showed him pictures of
Kelly's baby. She noted how Kelly and Kevin had forgiven each other and that
she and Clint could learn for them. They were interrupted when Viki called
to invite him to Jamie's birthday party. Dorian decided to go to the
gathering, as well.
The Vegas decorated the diner for Jamie's party. Evangeline was the first to
arrive. Todd called her during the party; Cristian was annoyed when she left
to check on Manning.... Viki and Clint arrived, arguing over whether Dorian
caused Viki's horse accident.... Jess and Antonio bonded at the event.
In a montage set to Bebo Norman's "Nothing Without You," we saw Jamie and
the gang celebrating.... Dorian looking in at the party and Adriana
gesturing that she enter with her.... Evangeline comforting a distraught
Todd... John looking over forensic photos. "Someone tampered with the
evidence," John said out loud as the screen faded to black. Uh-oh!

Jessica suffered another dizzy spell and asked Nash to stay with her until
it passed. Nash thought Tess was returning, but insisted that he wasn't
disappointed that she hadn't. Nash explained that he now has feelings for
Jessica. They kissed passionately, but pulled apart just as they were about
to have sex.
Meanwhile, Talia and Antonio confronted the arsonist, but despite having a
clear shot at him, Talia lowered her gun and the criminal escaped. Antonio
urged her to be open with him about why she did this. Later, Antonio came
home just as Nash was putting back on his clothes. A guilty Jessica said she
wasn't feeling well. Nash left with Bree and Antonio tucked Jessica into
bed.
At the Palace Hotel, the recipients in Spencer's will watched a video in
which the late Truman continued to berate the gang and introduced the
disfigured Miles, his beneficiary. A disgusted Evangeline
left, but John, Todd, Paige, Blair and Marty stuck around. Todd was
especially curious about Miles, whom he labeled the, "Poster boy for facial
flesh-eating bacteria." Ouch! Who should enter then but a now-handsome
Miles, post corrective surgery.
Dorian quizzed Vangie about the meeting, but she didn't want to discuss it.
Vangie stated that she thinks Todd and Blair belong together. Dorian agreed,
but said she couldn't convince Blair of this. She then asked Evangeline if
Cristian approved of Todd and Evangeline's friendship, warning that both men
are "complicated types." Vangie told Dorian to butt out of her life.
Also at the Palace, Lindsay enjoyed her time alone with Bo, where they
discussed Rex's possible role in Spencer's murder. Neither believed he
committed the actual crime, but Bo suspected that Rex was protecting the
real killer. Lindsay gave Bo the credit for turning Rex into a decent guy.
In turn, Bo praised Lindsay for trying to turn her life around after Jen's
death. Soon, Paige came back downstairs and Bo left with her. Lindsay looked
longingly after him.
Marcie and Michael received Spencer's gift — a silver baby cup engraved with
"TMJ" in it. Marcie mistook it for saying, "TJM," for Thomas John McBain.
Michael was upset when he came home and saw that his wife had already opened
it. She couldn't understand what was bugging him, but Michael quickly
covered by lying that he'd sent the gift and wanted to be there when she got
it. He filled her in on the will reading, but didn't tell her about Spencer
sending the gift. Alone, Michael tore up the card that came with it. Later,
Michael said that he didn't deserve Marcie or Tommy, but she disagreed.
At the diner, Nat confided in Vincent about how she and John fought over
John's obsession with Spencer's murder. Vince wondered if she thought John
killed Spencer but she said she didn't. She began to admit how she'd
doctored the crime scene to protect John. McBain entered the diner just in
time to hear Vince say that if John doesn't appreciate Natalie, he's a fool.
Vincent quickly covered by saying that he and Nat were discussing John's
Valentine's Day plans for her.
Miles remained polite and calm as he related how Spencer had saved his life
and how he planned to find out who murdered Truman. Blair gave Miles the
engagement ring from Spencer. He refused, saying that if he wants to
remember Spencer, all he has to do is look in the mirror. After, he watched
the tape of the will and cried.
