OLTL Recaps Week of March 12, 2007

Friday, March 16, 2007
The Nor'easter stranded Winter Fest revelers on Llantano Mountain. There was no room at the inn, which made for strange bedfellows. Fortunately, all the contract players secured rooms, while random extras had to sleep on sofas and floors in the overcrowded lobby.

Cristian and Todd, who were forced to bunk together, along with Miles and Tate, got into a scuffle over Evangeline and accidentally knocked down poor, sweet Miles. Across the hall, a boozed-up Blair shot insults at Evangeline, who retorted that maybe she just would go after Todd. While Blair sounded off about the humongous diamond necklace Todd gave Evangeline (which she refused to accept), the guys found said necklace, which riled Cristian. Back at Catfight Central, Layla's implication that maybe Blair would back off if her sis didn't spend so much time with Todd elicited a triumphant smirk from Blair, but infuriated Vangie, who fled the room. When Layla went to shower, Blair turned her attention to Marty and the foes squabbled over Miles and traded barbs over their mutual disdain for each other. After a while, Layla and Marty both escaped from Bitch Mountain, leaving Blair all by herself.

In the lobby, Evangelne turned on the charm to get a lodge employee to reveal Todd's room number. When she knocked on his door, Todd welcomed her in and kicked out Tate, who went down to the lobby, where he joined Cristian for a drink. When Cristian got up to return to the room, Tate stopped him, saying that Cristian didn't want to be up there right now. Vega quickly figured out that Evangeline was with Todd.

Rex and Adriana got to spend time alone in there room. She spent more time assuring him that Tate's not a threat. After a sufficient amount of her talk about how into himself the hunky athlete/model is, Rex relaxed a bit and the couple began to make out. Miles, who'd gone to get ice for his sore head, overheard Adriana and Rex in an intimate moment and smiled sweetly. When he ran into Marty, Miles reported that he'd gotten into his first brawl and seen his first glimpse of true love. They took a stroll outside (without jackets, but at least he had on a turtleneck). Marty told him that she'd been in love with a wonderful man who died, then they stargazed and did the old starlight-starbright-first-star-I see-tonight thing. His wish was to have what Marty had with her husband. "I hope your wish comes true," she said before going back inside.

Alone together in a room, Starr pulled away from Cole's kiss, so that she could pace and fret about their parents. He tried to get his girlfriend to relax and pulled her into another smooch. One thing led to another and it looked like there'd be more than kissing going on. While Starr was changing in the bathroom, Cole amusingly practiced seductive poses on the bed, then pulled a condom from his wallet. When Starr emerged, dressed in Cole's shirt, they hit the sheets, but he could tell Starr was tense and gently let her off the hook, promising that they had their whole future ahead of them. In the meantime, Langston worried about what her friends were doing and wanted to return to their room, but Britney insisted they leave the lovebirds alone and just camp out on chairs in the lobby.

Tate walked in on Adriana and a shirtless Rex, who were getting hot and heavy on the floor. Rex was displeased. They did the manly thing and arm-wrestled while a bored Adriana guzzled champagne and wondered aloud if they'd be "pulling out the ruler next."

In Todd's room, he gave up the bed to Evangeline and prepared to sleep on the couch. Seeing how uncomfortable and cold he was, Evangeline invited Todd to join her in bed. Across the hall, Cristian knocked on the door at Catfight Central, where he informed Blair that their respective exes were having sex. In actuality, Evangeline, wearing a big, fluffy hotel robe over her clothes and a fully-dressed Todd were snuggling for warmth. But after some lingering glances, he stroked her face and they engaged in a gentle kiss. Then the kiss got passionate and it looked like that robe was coming off. All of a sudden, they pulled back. Todd said that they just needed each other that night. Neither of them could say what would happen next. Todd remarked that he doesn't have many friends, then laughingly amended that to any friends. He said he felt great and wonderful. Still freezing, they spooned and nuzzled. At that very moment, Blair suggested that she and Cristian get even with their exes and pounced on him. Vigorous rolling about on the bed ensued.....

What was the name of the lodge employee?

Just about everyone from Llanview ended up at Llantano Mountain Lodge for the Winter Festival.

Langston was not amused when Britney hit her with a snowball. When Starr and Cole arrived they noted to Langston that everything would be okay ... as long as no parents showed up. Unbeknownst to the teens, Cole's mom was there with Miles. Marty was surprised that Miles rented them a room for the ski trip. He assured her that he has no agenda and only meant it to be a changing room. Miles also sheepishly confessed that he'd also made a date with another woman. Marty hoped that it wasn't someone who she dislikes, so he sputtered that she doesn't know the woman. After observing the one bed in the room, Marty remarked that it's too bad Miles didn't know about the locker rooms skiers use to change clothes. When she realized that Miles had not heard of ski lift tickets, Miles blurted that he's a total virgin (in terms of skiing). Both friends were flustered by the uncomfortable moment.

Elsewhere at the lodge, Blair was surprised when Adriana arrived with Rex and Tate for a photo shoot. Blair, who'd been boozing it up with hot toddies, was quite the flirt with underwear model Tate. When Layla walked in and mentioned that Cristian was also coming, Blair nosed around to find out if Evangeline would be there. Blair was disturbed to hear that Evangeline and Cristian broke up.

In the lobby, Todd and Evangeline were being all giggly with each other about how great she is at snowboarding. Blair stormed up, demanding to know if Todd was following her. When Vangie excused herself, Blair had an all-about-me moment, accusing her ex of bringing Evangeline just to rub it in her face. Blair boasted that she was there with Miles, which backfired when Todd loudly crowed about "The Elephant Man" and "Circus Boy." In the meantime, Evangeline came across Layla in a cuddly embrace with Cristian and awkwardness ensued. Layla tersely explained that Cristian was there as a photographer, ordered her sister to not cause drama and turned on her heel. Cristian asked if Vangie is there with Todd and scoffed at her claim that they aren't dating. Todd, meanwhile, was still sparring with Blair. When Miles approached, Blair tried to do the showing-off-my-date thing for Todd's benefit. Of course that's when Marty walked up and the women scowled at each other as Miles shrunk and Todd smirked.... Rex could barely conceal his jealously of Tate and worried that the hunky athlete-turned-model might put the moves on Adriana. She pooh-poohed his concern.

When Marty went to get lift tickets, Starr and Cole spotted her and hid. Britney stepped up and went on and on to Ms. Saybrooke about how awful it is that Cole couldn't make the school ski trip and pretty much covered for them, but Starr was dubious. Brit claimed that she felt if their parents could keep them apart, she feared it could happen to other kids, too. Langston went into the mountain lodge and ran into Marty, Todd and Blair, who wanted to know why the girl wasn't home studying with Starr, which was the cover story. Langston lied that she told Starr she'd have to study alone, then rushed outside to the gang to warn them. Suspicions aroused, Blair immediately phoned Starr, while Marty called Cole. Realizing they couldn't dodge the calls, both teens lied through their teeth about their whereabouts.

All squabbling came to a halt when it was announced that a Nor'easter was heading their way, which meant that the roads were closed and all the visitors were stranded at the lodge. To make matters worse, most of the rooms were booked. This thoroughly screwed up the photo shoot since the other models couldn't make it, but Layla recruited Rex and Cristian to model drawers. Evangeline turned up in time to see her shirtless ex-boyfriend in a playful moment with her sister. Vangie snarked at Layla and bickering took place until Todd arrived. Manning told Evangeline that he managed to secure a room for them, but she sniped that she'd rather sleep in a broom closet than bunk with him and stalked out.... Miles gallantly offered his room up to Marty and Blair.

A lodge employee found the teens and told them that there was a room (for girls only, Cole would sleep somewhere else) and warned them that the mini-bar has been locked. Britney went to supposedly go check on the mini-bar, but she really was taking incriminating photos of the star-crossed lovebirds.... Despite Rex's protests that he wasn't jealous of Tate, Adriana saw that he was threatened, so she laid on the ego-boosting and they got smoochy.... Cole and Starr were also locking lips when they were busted by Langston and Britney. Langston issued a warning, while Brit said to take all the time they needed.

Miles, Todd, Cristian and Tate ended up sharing a room. Across the hall, Blair, Layla, Marty and Evangeline did the same. Catty barbs flew. As Blair put out the "do not disturb" sign, she spotted Todd. "I hate you," she said, to which he responded, "I hate you, too."

When Miles summoned up the courage to ask Marty to the Winter Festival at Llantano Mountain, she agreed to go, but only as friends. As soon as Marty left, Blair arrived and offered to be Miles's first date. Uh-oh.... Miles told Blair that he's flattered to be asked out by someone like her, but why? She said she's not used to nice and he's nice, so she flirted and pleaded with him to say yes. He couldn't say no, despite his sudden dilemma with Marty.

Meanwhile, Starr and Cole were in Marty's office, forging their parents' signatures to go on the ski weekend. Marty walked in, so they hid. They came close to getting caught, but made it out undetected.

At the diner, Evangeline tried to convince Cristian that he's the only man for her, so he challenged her to cut Todd out of her life. She didn't see that as the answer. Failing to reach a compromise, they parted on bad note. Meanwhile, Todd told Viki about his plans to get Evangeline to go on the ski weekend with him. She pointed out that if Vangie wouldn't wear his diamond necklace, she might not want to go skiing with him. Viki said she understood him trying to get over Blair, but warned him against trying too hard and inadvertently hurting someone.

While Adriana and Layla discussed their Llantano Mountain photo-shoot plans for Tate, Rex popped in to wish Adriana a happy anniversary. They agreed to celebrate on the mountain. When Adriana left the room, Tate started to grill Rex about Adriana, but assured Rex that he wasn't after his girl. Tate noted that Rex must be pretty great to deserve a girl like Adriana. When Cristian showed up, Layla asked him to photograph the shoot, to which he reluctantly agreed. When Rex asked Tate to sign a baseball for a friend of his, Tate joked, "Is his name Rex?" It's for Matthew, Rex told him, and they walked off, seemingly getting along well.

Blair suggested that she and Miles head up to the lodge together and left Rodi's to get her stuff. The bartender commented that Miles looked like he could use a stiff drink, which he smartly turned down given his recent hangover, but told the guy about how he had dates with two beautiful women for the same night. "Outstanding!" the bartender said, giving him a high-five. Not quite, thought Miles. The bartender advised against being honest with the ladies.

Back at La Boulaie, Blair didn't see Starr around and called her cell phone. The teen lied to her mom that she was with Langston and would be studying with her all night. Blair said she'd probably be out late, too, but didn't say where she was going. Meanwhile, Starr went to Viki's and told her she was planning to go on a ski trip. Viki showed her a flyer and said, "You're going, too!?" Starr asked if she could borrow some old ski stuff from Joey or Kevin for an unnamed friend. While Viki was upstairs, Starr snuck outside to give Cole a quick kiss. Viki returned and noted that Starr suddenly looked flushed and asked if she was feeling all right. She said she was feeling fine, and returned to La Boulaie, where she tiptoed around to grab some ski clothes from the closet. Once again, the teens made a safe exit without being noticed. Then Blair came downstairs in a furry vest and took off.

Todd met Evangeline at Rodi's and asked her to the festival. She gave him a firm no, even though he said she'd ruin all his "arrangements." He assured her that he didn't have an agenda, that the weekend was just about fun and throwing "snowballs with rocks in them at children." Evangeline laughed, then made sure to call him "evil." Meanwhile, Miles tried to tell Marty that they wouldn't be the only ones at the festival.

Vincent and Shaun ran into Nash at his favorite place, the steam room! A less teary-eyed Jessica met Antonio in the hospital lounge to bring him a card from Jamie. He asked if Nash told her that he came by, and she asked why he thinks she'd be talking to Nash. Antonio confessed that he and Nash discussed what was really going on with Jessica. In the hall at school, Starr and Cole whispered about their secret plans for the Winter Festival and their decision to "go all the way." Britney pretended to be chummy as she listened in, then one of her minions warned her that they'll figure out she's not really their friend. Meanwhile, Blair visited Dorian, who told her that she hired the best lawyer for David. They agreed that the paper's write-up of David's violent crime didn't sound like him.

Blair complained to Dorian about Evangeline's "honkin' " diamond necklace and how everyone makes Evangeline out to be Mother Theresa. Dorian called Blair out for discarding Todd but not wanting anyone else to have him either.

As Miles read about David's confession in the paper at Rodi's, Natalie snuck up on him and asked if he was happy that Spencer's killer was caught. Miles failed to see the justice in the situation and said he could never kill his own brother, as horrible as Mitch might have been. Miles theorized that David came to town the day of Spencer's murder on purpose and that the murder of the "brilliant and compassionate surgeon" was premeditated. Natalie argued that Truman was pure evil. They moved on to the topic of Miles's newfound riches, and Natalie claimed to know what it's like to be young and suddenly rich. The big difference between them, however, is that Natalie was always beautiful, he pointed out.

At the police station, John accused Marty of going soft on criminals, saying Spencer wouldn't have even been a free man or gotten killed if she hadn't testified that he was insane. Marty asked John what he'll do now that his father's killer has been caught. He reminded her that they're in his office, not hers, so they started throwing darts. When Marty brought up Natalie and how she got in her face at her own office, John reminded her again that this isn't a therapy session. "Just don't let another killer go free," he instructed. She said she hoped they could put the past behind them. Only if she stops using the word "snarky," he said and agreed to her peace offering of breakfast.

Antonio explained to Jessica that Nash told him all about how the two really can't stand each other. Nash also said he sees Tess when he looks at Jessica and that drives him crazy, recalled Antonio. Jessica claimed that she tried to discourage Antonio from befriending Nash and letting him into their lives, and apologized for keeping their strong "dislike" of each other a secret from her husband. She went on to say that the angry part of her, the Tess part, comes out when she's around Nash and that scares her. She admitted to being confused about her feelings for Nash, but insisted that she's not confused about her feelings for her husband and the fact that they belong together forever. Antonio recalled their wedding day, and how he found her with Nash right before it. She reiterated the same sentiments she did that day, and assured him that any lingering Tess are just memories and that Antonio is her soul mate.

Vincent and Nash had a heart-to-heart in the steam room about the women they can't have. When Shaun tried to give his two cents, Vincent reminded his bodyguard that he's working. Vincent advised Nash that Jessica might be lying about not wanting to be with him. Vincent admitted that there's one woman who can't stand the sight of him and another one who is too wrapped up in another man to even think about him. Shaun compared Nash and Vincent to two stubborn mules and told his boss there's no way said woman would ever show interest. Nash lamented not being able to get over a woman he can't be with and Vincent concurred.

Amber tattled to Marcie that she was late to class because she couldn't get to her locker — Starr and Cole were standing in front of it. Britney pretended to defend Starr in an effort to win Starr's trust. Langston warned Starr that Britney was up to something, and Marcie had to quiet down the class. "Nobody likes a rat," she told Amber. After class, Langston told Cole about her plan to allow Cole and Starr to talk to each other without directly looking at each other. Britney pulled Starr aside and asked if there was anything she could do for Starr and Cole. Just keep your mouth shut, Starr told her. Britney promised that she wasn't out to get them, then privately promised to make sure their trip to the Winter Festival would be one they'd never forget.

At Rodi's, Miles continued to share depressing stories of growing up in a hospital. He and Natalie discussed all the firsts he still has to experience, and he admitted to getting drunk and kissing Marty. Natalie strongly encouraged him to ask Marty to the Winter Festival, just as Marty and John walked in. An awkward breakfast ensued. Miles asked John if he could speak with David, and Jessica piped in and reminded Miles that he has something to ask Marty. A call from the DA's office pulled John away and Natalie followed, leaving Miles to make his proposal. Meanwhile, Blair told Dorian that she's interested in someone new: Miles Laurence. He's direct, he's honest, he's innocent, he's sweet, she claimed. "Great, you've found yourself the anti-Todd!" exclaimed Dorian, warning her that inviting Miles to the Winter Festival would be a huge mistake. "If Todd can move on, so can I," her niece declared.

Dorian pleaded with David not to go through with taking the blame for Spencer's murder. He said he could stab his brother in the back, but not literally. At the gym, Layla helped Cristian get over Evangeline with some weight-lifting therapy. Todd marveled at how good his birthday gift of a diamond necklace looked on Evangeline. Meanwhile, Nash advised Jessica to choose between him and Antonio. "I already did," she claimed to a bemused Nash.

David posed a "riddle" to Dorian: What would make it worth his while to kill Spencer? Dorian said she'd understand if David did kill Spencer, but he continued to deny it. Where's that devious mind he grew to love, he asked as he stroked her face. Suddenly, it came to her: Someone is paying him to confess. He explained that Asa offered the bribe, so he left town and let "the old coot" think that he did the deed. Dorian offered her help, reminding David that she loves him and would do anything for her ex.

Over dinner at the Palace, Evangeline thanked Todd for the necklace and insisted that he'd done enough for her, you know, saving her eyesight and all. When he revealed the price tag ($1 million), she freaked out and demanded he remove it from her neck. She declared that she just wanted friendship for her birthday; he lied that he was cool with whatever. Meanwhile, Layla told Cristian that Evangeline planned to stay home on her birthday and watch TV. Evangeline suggested Todd feed the homeless in Philadelphia with the necklace, just as Layla and Cristian walked in. Todd managed to clear the vicinity by gloating to Cristian that he paid a fortune for the necklace.

Bo continued to question Rex about who he's protecting. Rex explained that it's not a simple situation and he can't tell Bo what it is that he's hiding. He then gave Bo tickets for the Phillies season opener to cheer up Matthew. Meanwhile, Tate and Adriana discussed his future after baseball. Adriana said she had an idea for him, but it'll only work if he takes his pants off (sweet!). It involves being the Marky Mark of Exposed and modeling underwear. He agreed, but only if Adriana handled all the fittings personally, saying he trusts her to make him look "hunky, ripped and straight." Rex then walked in on them shaking hands on the deal, although it looked a bit more like holding hands. Adriana gave Rex the "good news," which seemed to make Rex a bit nervous.

Meanwhile, Michael and John patched things up and John asked Michael not to tell Mom about locking his little brother up. John said he knew Michael wasn't guilty of murder, but that he is guilty of something else. Michael refused to tell him, but said if it gets out, Spencer Truman will get the last laugh. John went to see Bo, who asked him why he wasn't made aware of the fact that Natalie tampered with the evidence in Spencer's murder and why he shouldn't hire a new chief of detectives. John explained his attempt to solve Spencer's murder his own way, and said he could prove to Bo that he can be trusted if he just reopens the case. John questioned how the fibers from his scarf got on Spencer, claiming it's a definite possibility that David is not the murderer even though there is evidence against him.

Jessica lamented to Nash how she hates the way she feels and the way she's making Antonio feel. Nash offered to talk to Antonio for her. There's nothing to tell him, she insisted, because her life is with Antonio. Nash challenged her to convince him that she belongs with Antonio. He accused her of taking her "misguided" decision to marry him lightly. She screamed (a little too loud for the hospital) that she loves Antonio and she LOVES NASH, TOO, but that she has a history with Antonio. She kissed Nash anyway, proving his point, but bid adieu to any possibility of a life with him. If Antonio is her choice, then he's going to have to keep himself out of her life, he threatened, and just have Viki or Clint drop off Bree for visits. Before he left, he stated that they were not an accident and he has no regrets. Jess burst into tears in the hospital lounge, clutching the piece of paper on which she wrote who she should be with.
