Bo gave Nigel the update about Jessica's deteriorating status and then learned that Asa had spend the entire day in bed. Bo and Nigel decided not to tell Asa about Jessica.

Paige told Clint, Viki and Dorian what would be happening to Jessica as they waited for Antonio (and his liver) to arrive. Jessica became delusional and imagined that Nash was by her side. Viki asked Dorian how long Jessica could survive without the transplant. "Not long," she admitted, but added that Jessica was tough "like you." Clint, Viki, Dorian and other family members gathered around while the priest arrived to give last rites. "No, no, you can't, I won't let you," Viki pleaded. Clint said they couldn't deprive Jessica of the comfort of the rites. As the priest began his work, Nash and Antonio showed up and looked through the window. "No, that can't be," Nash said when he saw the priest.

Michael and Marcie teased John about dating Marty. John denied all the rumors. Michael said John couldn't stay single forever. John said he didn't do relationships very well. "Has everyone lost their mind today?" John asked. Michael and Marcie wanted a cousin for little Tommy. They agreed to stop bugging John about his social life if he agreed to ask Marty out on a date. Okay, John would consider it. A frantic Marty rushed into the coffee bar and made awkward eye contact with John.

Earlier, Miles insisted to Marty that he loves her. Marty said, "all you are doing is scaring me." Marty demanded to know how Miles had gotten the tape of her therapy session. Marty, remaining as calm as possible, tried to convince Miles that he was forcing her to marry him, not really asking her. She added that she didn't even love him. Miles admitted he had hired the thugs to scare her and he drained her gas tank. "Anything could have happened to me," Marty screamed as she looked more and more frightened. Marty told Miles he needed professional help. Miles didn't think so. "For once in my life I'm going to finish first," he insisted when Marty said he was a nice guy, not the conniving one he was trying to become. Miles thought they could grow to love each other. "Marrying a woman who hates you won't make you happy," Marty said through her tears. Miles gave Marty 24 hours to consider his proposal. Marty threatened to go to John to confess and tell him what Miles was doing. Miles asked her if she also wanted John's blood on her hands.

The investigator Blair had hired to find Todd returned her check. He hadn't found any trace of Todd. Blair got a call and thought it might be Todd, but it turned out to be another false alarm. She remained convinced that Todd was alive and that he'd return to her. Blair told Cristian that Todd had kept her alive when she was near death earlier this year.

Marty rushed in to talk to John. Marty began to confess that she murdered Spencer but Bo interrupted them. Privately, Bo explained to John that thanks to Rex he had learned that Tate had spent some time in Wyoming at a camp. John added that he knew Tate had some shoulder problems. John was going to investigate the camp Tate attended. When John left Bo's office, he saw Marty was gone. Paige came by and brought Bo up to speed on Jessica's condition. "She's getting weaker," Paige told him.

Miles listened to the tape of Marty's session with Dr. Young. He was stunned to hear her admit to killing Spencer Truman. Miles called Marty and demanded that she come to his suite at The Palace ASAP. Miles played the tape for Marty. The tape "fell into my possession," Miles said. Miles went on to tell Marty that Spencer was his best friend, his only friend. Marty rushed out to confess to the murder at the police station but Miles stopped her. Miles agreed to keep her secret if she would give him her undying gratitude and "your hand in marriage."

Nash, Antonio and Jamie boarded a private plane back to Llanview. Antonio reminded Nash that Jessica had once professed her undying love to him. Nash told Antonio he should get over his "bruised little ego" and move on. Antonio stressed to Nash that he wasn't doing this (giving up part of his liver) to help them, but because it was the right thing to do. Jamie wondered if Jessica would come to Spain with them. Antonio said it would be just the two of them from now on. Nash talked to Jessica from the plane. Antonio couldn't help but overhear Nash tell her he loved her. Jessica asked for Antonio and apologized profusely for all the pain she'd caused him. She then practically passed out. Clint grabbed the phone. "Hurry, Antonio," he whispered. The pilot came on with discouraging news: thunderstorms over Llanview meant they wouldn't be able to land. Nash and Antonio both tensed up.

John walked in on Cole talking to himself. He sheepishly told John he was rehearsing lines for the musical and asked John to read the other part. "Is this something I'm going to have to come see?" John asked. John suggested that Cole run lines with a girl, as that's they kind of thing they like to do. Cole said he was going to stay away from girls for a while. John was looking for Marty. In Cole's attempt to make small talk, Cole insinuated that it was okay for John to date Marty.

Layla opened up to Vincent about what it was like growing up with Evangeline as a big sister. "She has to get through this, she has to," Layla said through the tears.

Jessica's monitors started making noises. Apparently she was in the early stages of kidney failure and according to one of the doctors, things would only get worse. Clint and Viki were desperate and overcome with worry. They visited their daughter and tried to put on a brave face. "You are beautiful, Jessica, as always," her father assured her, and then begged her to hang on.

Adriana gave Rex the cold shoulder. "How could you do this to us?" she asked. Adriana told a confused Rex about the call she had intercepted from Rob Dalton. Adriana insisted that Tate was just a normal guy. Rex disagreed. Adriana wondered if they could ever trust each other again. Rex begged her to let him "see this through." Adriana said no and asked him if he was going to stop investigating Tate. Rex tried to convince her that he was checking out Tate to protect her. Adriana broke up with Rex. Rex opened up to Bo about the situation. Bo advised Rex to give Adriana some space. "That's all I have," Bo said. Rex thought Bo's advice was brilliant. Before Rex left, he mentioned just having learned that Tate had spent some time in a camp in Wyoming and that experience changed him. Hmmm. One could see the gears moving in Bo's head.

In Barcelona, Jamie told her father she wants to go home "to see Jessica." Antonio explained that Jessica and Bree were no longer a part of their lives. There was a knock at the door: It was Nash. Antonio tried to shut the door, but Nash barged in. Jamie wondered if Jessica was with Nash. Err, no. Nash told Antonio that he was a donor match for Jessica. He looked dumbfounded. Nash offered to give up Jessica if Antonio agreed to give up part of his liver. Antonio said that wasn't necessary. He felt that returning to Llanview was the right thing to do. However, Antonio added, after that, he wanted nothing to do with Jessica or Nash ever again.

Michael assured Viki and Clint that Jessica was receiving the best treatment, though Viki knew they were just waiting for Jessica to die. Cristian came in to see Jessica who began crying, "I'm so sorry." Cris headed out to find Antonio. Jessica's machines began to make lots of noise. A concerned Michael rushed to her side. Clint and Viki looked very worried.

Marty paid David a visit in Statesville Prison. She asked him why he confessed to killing Spencer "when you didn't do it." David continued to claim he did kill him, adding that Dorian didn't think he did it either. "What makes you think I didn't kill Spencer?" David asked in his snarky David way. Marty assured David that Spencer was the cold-blooded murderer; he wasn't. David turned the tables on Marty. "Why are you here? You are the guilty one, aren't you?" he asked. Marty accused David of saying he had committed the crime for money. That struck a nerve. David returned to his cell. Marty looked perplexed. Meanwhile, at the police station, John got a call from Statesville letting him know that Marty had visited David.

Miles visited Dr. Young in search for a new therapist. He claimed he needed help in pursuing a woman (Marty), but he was really interested in getting his hands on one of Young's taped sessions with Marty. Miles showed her the photo of himself, pre-surgery, pre-Spencer Truman. Miles continued to insist that this woman (Marty) was the woman for him. Miles begged to know what to do to win her love. Dr. Young left to take a phone call, which freed Miles to grab the tape of Marty's session. He left looking pleased as punch.

John showed Nora, Talia and Bo the artwork that had been left by the arsonist in Cristian's loft. John learned from an art expert that the artist/arsonist who created the work suffered from a severe shoulder injury. The team decided to look for someone who had undergone serious orthopedic surgery in the Idaho/Montana/Wyoming area.

Tate paid Adriana a visit, though Rex answered the door. The two men exchanged unpleasantries. Rex said he'd agreed to go public and "take it all back" — "it" being all of Rex's accusations that Tate was gay. Adriana said their orders had tripled. "Maybe people don't care if you are gay," Adriana said. Adriana assured Tate that Rex was going to stop investigating his past. However, Rex had no such intention. He dodged the direct question by saying, "I'll do anything to keep you happy," and left Adriana's apartment. Rex met an old high school buddy of Tate's — Rob Dalton — and tried to get some more dirt on his rival. Rob said he and Tate had been close friends until Tate had had surgery on his shoulder and returned from a baseball camp in Wyoming. That experience had changed Tate. The friend then recognized Rex as the guy who outed Tate and stormed off. Rex looked down but still hopeful. Later, Rob called Rex's cell, and Adriana picked up. Rob left a message: "If I hear that Rex is using my name in another bogus story about Tate, I'll sue him," Dalton said. Adriana was not pleased to hear that.

Marty insisted to Dr. Young, her new therapist, that she killed Spencer. Dr. Young wasn't convinced. Miles hovered outside Dr. Young's office and wanted to see Marty ASAP. Young asked if David Vickers was in the hospital room as well. Marty explained that Vickers was "an accomplished liar" and she doesn't remember him being there the night of Spencer's murder. Marty added that Spencer had stayed out of prison thanks to her diagnosis of him. "I killed Spencer Truman," she exclaimed. "I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life." Miles entered Dr. Young's office. "I'm in need of a new psychiatrist," he said.

Paige told Viki that she wasn't a suitable liver donor, adding that no doctor would perform that kind of surgery on a woman with Viki's past medical history. Viki reminded the doctor that "it's "my life" and proceeded to remind everyone there (Nash, Clint, Jessica) that Jessica was sick because of her. (A brief explanation here: Viki believes that she — specifically her alter personality Niki — is the reason why Jessica was abused. Jessica's abuse resulted in the creation of Jess' own alter, Tess. Tess took the heroin, which caused the hepatitis C and now the liver cancer.) Paige repeated that it's far too risky for Viki to make the liver donation. "I want my child to live," Viki sobbed. "I don't give a damn what happens to me." Jessica assured her mother that she didn't regret anything — the good or the bad. Viki broke down. "I've tried so hard to be strong for you." Nash told both women that Jessica wasn't going anywhere. Paige came in with great news. They found another match: Antonio. Viki and Clint headed out to find Antonio. Viki and Clint told Cristian and Carlotta that Antonio was a match. Cris told them "Antonio is gone," and said they don't know where he was. "He packed a few bags and left town," Carlotta said. (Earlier, Carlotta told Cristian that Antonio had left town with Jamie.) Viki bordered on hysteria. "We have to find him," she exclaimed. Viki and Clint returned to Jessica's room with news that Antonio had left the country. "But, we're going to find him," Viki promised. Can they find him in time?
