OLTL Recaps Week of June 4, 2007

Friday, June 8, 2007
Paige informed Talia and Cristian that Antonio had developed a blood infection and even though they were changing up his meds and putting him on dialysis, his will to live would be most important. Dorian arrived at Statesville to have a chat with David. Nash and Jessica continued to canoodle by her bedside; her usual pallor appeared to have returned. Starr confused Cole by suggesting that Miles and Marty's union was good news. At the police station, Miles introduced his new bride (and her impressive ring) to Blair and John. McBain was skeptical of the whole thing and wanted to know why it happened.

Starr explained to Cole that she understood why it was hard for him, but that she thought his mom marrying Miles could be a way to bring her dad back. Starr compared what Marty was doing to what Blair did with Spencer. Cole admitted to encouraging his mom to move on, but not with someone phony like Miles. Starr was obviously upset about something else, so Cole asked what was bothering her. She explained that her dad was in a lot of trouble and Miles might have something to do with it, so if Cole could do anything to get some info, she would be forever grateful. He agreed to do whatever he can, and things got awkward when Starr tried to thank him with a hug.

David apologized to Dorian for not being his usual Cover Boy self, then inquired about the latest news in Llanview. Dorian informed him that Jessica had finally found a liver. "So who's the poor schlub who has to quit drinking?" he asked of the donor. Dorian gave him the whole story, including Jessica's infidelity and Antonio's grand gesture. "Talk about taking a literal pound of flesh," he cracked, "Sounds very Buchanan to me." David then blabbed to Dorian that Marty was the one who offed Spencer. Dorian was floored, and curious as to where he came up with such an idea. It was because Marty seemed so positive of David's innocence, as though she had tangible evidence of the murderer, and he didn't think she'd rat out someone in her "circle of loons." David insisted on staying put because he wanted his $10 million from Asa and told Dorian not to screw it up for him. Dorian was skeptical that Asa would pay up, but agreed to keep his secret. David tried to steal her ring through the grated screen, then took off to choreograph a musical (a small nod to Prom Night: The Musical, perhaps?).

Nash and Jessica discussed plans to move her and Bree to the cottage. Natalie arrived with Bree, and Jessica was thrilled to see her baby. As Nash and Jessica played with their daughter, Natalie commented that although it was weird for her to see them together, she could see how they work as a couple and it made her happy. Paige showed up and broke the news that Antonio had suffered a setback. Natalie rushed out to see Cristian.

Miles told John to believe the news, but Blair pointed out that she's known Marty a long time and she's seen her in love, and the look on her face was not that of a woman in love. Marty explained to John that she had come by to talk to him a few days ago because she wanted to tell him about her and David's blossoming relationship. Miles is a friend, and though love isn't something everyone is lucky to come across, she knows Miles is someone she could spend her life with. "Way to settle, Marty," snarked Blair. John requested a moment alone with Marty, but Miles was quick to herd her out. Blair suggested to John that they'd just heard a pack of lies and now that Marty has married the prime suspect in Todd's disappearance, things could be even more difficult than anticipated.

Blair returned home to find Starr skipping out on school. Starr flipped through a family photo album and asked her mom what Todd could be thinking at that moment. He's probably thinking about returning home to Starr and Jack, Blair assured her, but Starr worried that he might not be thinking anything at all (meaning he's ... brain dead? Dead dead?).

Miles and Marty returned home and Miles gave her grief for acting so resentful toward him. He just wants to explore their "potential," he said, touching her shoulder. Marty flipped out, screaming, "Don't touch me!" Cole rushed in and wanted to know what was going on. Marty didn't seem happy, so Cole suggested she take a mental health day. Miles recommended they all take one as a family because they had "a lot of getting to know each other to do."

Natalie encouraged Cristian to make amends with his brother should anything happen to him, while Talia gave an unresponsive Antonio a pep talk. Cristian arrived and asked Talia to stay. He also had a few things to tell his brother, like that he screwed up and there's no excuse for what he did, but that they are family. Antonio started to wake up and muttered, "If you guys are going to talk so much, maybe you should take it outside," which brought a smile to Cris's face.

Dorian paid John a visit at the PD and teased that she had some info on Spencer's murder, while David tossed and turned in his jail cell. John told Dorian to spit it out. "I know who killed Spencer Truman, and it wasn't David Vickers," she declared. Blair assured Starr that she was going to find Todd and that he's out there somewhere — alive. Meanwhile, Todd was lying in a bed, near a table with a glass of water and a medicine bottle. "I'm going to find him and I'm going to bring him home," Blair continued.

The morning after the hospital explosion, Talia produced a forensics report on the bomb. Antonio woke up and immediately wanted to know what happened with the surgery. Michael told him that Nash saved his life. Blair found an upset Starr sitting outside. Starr informed her mom that Cole was attending the prom with the girl who hates her most. Meanwhile, Cole was surprised to see Marty arrive home freshly dressed. Miles followed behind and proudly announced, "Cole, I'm your new dad."

Blair tried to advise Starr on her prom dilemma, sharing her own prom story about some guy named Keith who asked mean Brenda, the popular cheerleader, to prom. Starr was not only concerned about lacking a prom date, but lacking a father to take photos of her before the momentous occasion. Blair hinted that she still thinks Miles is somehow connected to Todd's disappearance.

Paige informed Jessica of her improving condition and Jess remarked that she was grateful for a second chance. Paige told Nash he was a real hero for saving Antonio. Meanwhile, Antonio demanded to know why Nash finished operating on him and not Michael. "I need to speak to Nash," announced Antonio, who ordered, "Find him." Cristian arrived at Jessica's room to let Nash know about Antonio's request. Nash showed up expecting a thank-you from his rival, but Antonio had a different message: "I hope the two of you rot in hell." Antonio made it clear that they would never be friends again and that he gave part of his liver to Jessica because it was the right thing to do, which is just why Nash saved him. Antonio told Nash that right before the surgery, Jess said she loved him once. Antonio then advised Nash to get out of his hospital room.

John informed Bo that an LED display was used on the second bomb. John questioned whether the arsonist/bomber was really acting by himself. Bo wanted John and Talia to get a warrant for Tate's arrest. Even though Tate is working for Layla and Adriana, who would be considered "impure" by OPP, there's something off about him, noted Bo. Blair showed up to tell John her feeling that Miles had the answers to Todd's disappearance.

Marty was furious with Miles for dropping a bomb like that on Cole. Miles beamed as Marty explained to Cole that a marriage was what she and Miles wanted, but Cole wasn't buying any of it. When Cole asked Marty if she loves Miles, she answered that she thinks she can love him. Cole refused to believe that Marty would marry Miles in her right mind, calling her decision an insult to Patrick's memory. Miles decided to give the mother and son some alone time, and suggested they have dinner together that night. Once Miles was out of earshot, Cole wanted the truth. "Your happiness means everything to me," said Marty, explaining that Miles was wealthy and could give them a good life, but Cole said Marty didn't sound at all like herself. "It had to be done; I did it for you," was all she could say. Unsatisfied, Cole ran out.

Blair revealed to John that she'd summoned Miles to his office, just before Miles showed up. "What is it you'd like to know?" he asked, making himself comfortable as though he had nothing to hide. Miles couldn't wipe a giant grin off his face, so Blair and John asked what the heck he was so happy about. "I got married to the woman of my dreams," Miles beamed. He went on about a whirlwind courtship until Blair interrupted with, "What the hell are you talking about, Miles?" He was happy to inform them that his mystery bride was Marty. John didn't look too pleased.

Kirk and Tate argued loudly at Rodi's. "This goes way beyond some girl," said Kirk, which Rex overheard. Kirk told Tate to get his situation under control. Rex interrupted the heated conversation between father and son. Rex said he thought he heard some mention of a girl, and if it's Adriana, then it's his concern, too. Kirk walked off, warning his son that their conversation wasn't finished. Rex continued to pry into what they were making a scene over, just as Adriana walked in. Adriana and Tate went off to have breakfast together.

Alone, Marty spoke aloud to Patrick. "I don't know what to do," she sobbed, then appeared to have an idea. Starr was both shocked and thrilled to find Cole in her kitchen. He explained that his mom must have gotten hit on the head really hard, because she hopped on a plane to Vegas and married Miles Laurence. Antonio suddenly started to seizure and spiked a fever. Paige and Michael worked feverishly to control the situation. Meanwhile, Nash and Jessica talked of a happy future together. "Jessica," Antonio murmured as Paige told him he was going to be fine.

Langston continued to get worked up over Markko's "input" on the show, while Starr was thinking about her missing father. Cole thanked Miles for summoning him to the hospital, where Marty was staying overnight for observation. Marty requested a moment alone with her son. Rex drowned his sorrows with Roxy at Rodi's. "Broken heart," she called out to the bartender, pointing to Rex. "Keep 'em comin'." To top off Rex's not-so-perfect day, Kirk Harmon arrived. Outside the hospital, Carlotta continued to freak out while Adriana sat by her side. "What's he doing here?" Adriana suddenly asked as she saw Tate nearby. When he approached, she asked him if he just came from inside the hospital. Natalie cracked to Jessica that she didn't look as yellow as she did before the surgery. Michael explained to John from the other side of the gallery door that Nash was about to close Antonio's wound. Bo proved his aptitude with acronyms by telling his team to get Antonio to another OR ASAP.

Tate explained to Adriana that it may have looked like he came straight from the hospital but he just used his press pass to break through a crowd of reporters near the entrance. As Carlotta prayed, Tate pointed out how lucky Adriana is to have a real family. Tate shook his head at how t-t-terrible the bombing was. Meanwhile, Roxy ran into Kirk at Rodi's and immediately asked, "Hey you're not gay, too, are ya?" Rex asked Kirk why he seemed so nervous, and Kirk told him to go to hell. Tate talked to the press and informed Adriana that the authorities think OPP is behind the bombing. Back at Rodi's, Rex continued to probe Kirk about Tate, including his Wyoming "camp" experience. Rex took off for the hospital after seeing a TV news report about the bombing.

Nash fumbled his way through the procedure with Michael's instructions. Nash made a joke about not having time for a quick prayer when some debris suddenly fell through a shaft. Nash ran to cover Antonio's tummy to prevent dust from getting in his insides. Nash came close to finishing, but faced a slight setback when Antonio began to bleed. Meanwhile, Cristian and John worked at cutting their way through the debris outside the gallery. Nash was forced to trust Michael as he instructed him to cauterize Antonio's wound, then give him stitches. "Next stop, PROJECT RUNWAY," Nash quipped. "You do that enough times and you won't be lookin' at the inside of Antonio anymore," assured Dr. Mike from his ivory tower. When John broke through the door, he asked Michael, "Would you like me to carry you down there, Princess?" They made their way down the stairs to the OR and Michael finished stitching up Antonio. Bo arrived with a stretcher, and Cristian thanked Nash for saving his brother's life. Bo congratulated Nash on a job well done. Nash needed a moment to collect himself after the surgery.

Cole told his mother that he couldn't handle losing his mother and father, causing Marty to think of Miles's threat. Marty requested that Cole leave the hospital for his safety and gave him a hug. She sobbed as Miles reentered the room. "Don't worry ... I didn't tell him you were blackmailing me into marrying you," she sneered. "I forgive you for killing Spencer, and I'm going to keep your secret so that you can live your life with your son," he explained. Marty noted that Miles is more of a monster than she thought. Just as Miles instructed Marty to never call him a monster again, John came in and asked if everything was okay. Marty was eager to get John out of her hospital room, and Miles told John he'd just made Marty an offer she can't refuse.

Britney showed up as Langston and Starr were discussing Cole's prom date. "I'm fine with it," Starr told Britney, who snarked, "Well, I hope so. Cole and I don't mean to upset you" When Starr did seem upset, Britney reminded her that she's the one who dumped Cole, who then arrived and informed them about the bombing. Starr was upset because she knew Jessica was having surgery there, and ran off to call Blair.

Cristian left the hospital to give Carlotta and Adriana the good news about Antonio. Nash informed Jessica and her family what he did to save Antonio and they all seemed proud. Once Marty dismissed John, Miles asked her to decide her fate. Adriana thanked Tate for sticking around and rewarded him with a hug, just as Rex arrived. Bo and John marveled at how the hospital bombing could have been even more tragic, but wondered what the sicko had planned next. At Rodi's, Kirk crumpled up a Llanview Hospital visitor pass in his hand.

Viki prayed with everyone outside as an explosion ripped through the hospital. "Jessica!" Viki cried. Markko tried to "bring the sexy back" by planting a kiss on Starr during rehearsals, upsetting Langston. Britney threw on a pair work gloves to mess with the lighting fixtures, then complained to Cole about not having a date for the prom. She suggested they go together. The security chief told the firemen that the explosion went off near the operating rooms, and that a transplant surgery was still going on. Viki, Clint and Dorian demanded answers from the security chief, who said there'd been no contact from inside the building and no one even knew exactly where the bomb went off. Inside the hospital, Miles woke up and crawled out from the rubble calling Marty's name. He found her lying unconscious and realized she was bleeding from the head. In the hallway, Paige came to and checked on Jessica's vitals. Bo, Talia and John called out to the other medics to see if they were still alive. They found the OR entryway completely blocked with debris. In the gallery, Nash woke up next to an unconscious Michael, then stood to see Antonio lying on the operating table below.

Nash scrambled to find a way out of the OR gallery, then opted to climb down a conveniently located ladder. He tried to revive the other doctors in the room by slapping them around a little, but there were no signs of life. Outside, Bo yelled out to Nash as Miles cried out for help from the nurses' station. Nash assured Bo that he was fine, but that everyone else inside needed medical attention. Nash climbed the ladder to get to Michael, but fell off and tumbled over some debris. A sedated Antonio continued to lie on the table without any awareness of what was happening. Nash ranted to Bo about the OR's state of affairs when the power miraculously came on and Michael came to and instructed Nash to check on Antonio. "Bo, we got another problem here!" Nash yelled as he looked at Antonio's very open and very bloody midsection.

John arrived to find Miles screaming, "My girlfriend needs help!" John told Miles to quit his yapping as he kept asking questions about Marty. John carried Marty to an open bed and held a flashlight to her eyes. She came to and immediately recognized John, which irked Miles to no end. John asked Miles to keep an eye on Marty while he stepped out. Miles took the opportunity to tell Marty he doesn't know what he'd do without her. "Well, you're going to find out," she cryptically stated.

Outside the hospital, everyone invested in the transplant surgery bombarded the security chief with questions. Viki and Dorian wanted to go inside to look for Jessica. The security chief revealed that the bomb went off very near the OR. Carlotta started to panic, and Dorian rushed to her side. Talia came out and informed Viki that Jessica was getting the medical help she needed. Viki was frustrated that she couldn't have been Jessica's donor in the first place, and Carlotta was distraught over hearing that Antonio was trapped in the OR. Cristian wasn't happy to hear that Antonio's life was in Nash's hands. Talia allowed Cristian to go inside, as Paige ran out to tell Viki that Jessica was going to be fine. Dorian volunteered her medical services. Paige admitted to Clint that she was unsure about Antonio's fate, then ran back inside.

Langston refused to accept Markko's ideas on how to play his part. Starr defended Markko to Langston, who claimed he was disrespecting her by not saying the lines as they were written. Cole was caught off-guard by Britney's invitation. He looked in Starr's direction as he said he had another plan for prom night, but sure, he'd go with her. Cole received a call from Miles saying his mom had been injured in an explosion. Langston and Markko continued to bicker as Starr ran after Cole. In the hallway, Amber was selling prom tickets and informed Starr that Britney had just bought two tickets and was going with Cole. Langston and Markko made an interesting bet on whether he'll get a standing ovation at the end of his dance solo: He'll streak through school if he loses. "Who wants to see him naked anyway?" Langston cracked to a brooding Starr, who informed Langston what she'd just heard about Britney and Cole. Langston reminded Starr that she dumped Cole.

Viki, Clint and Natalie were happily reunited with Jessica, while Natalie warned Dorian not to mess with Clint's heart. Bo continued to call out to Nash. Michael offered to talk Nash through closing up Antonio. Carlotta started to have chest pains and Adriana tried to find help. Cole ran into the hospital to look for Marty, who was alone with Miles. Miles advised Marty to make a decision ASAP about the proposal or risk going to prison and losing her son, just as Cole walked in. Marty was upset to hear that Miles called Cole and put him in a risky situation by summoning him to the hospital. Viki and Clint assured Jessica that she was going to be fine, but Jessica wanted to know about Antonio and Nash. She sensed that something was wrong, so Viki revealed that there was an explosion near the OR. As Bo and John devised a way into the OR, Nash reluctantly followed Michael's instructions. "If you don't close Antonio, he's gonna die," Michael warned.

Marty was hardly able to contain her nervousness as John asked her what she wanted to tell him earlier. Natalie ran into Miles at the hospital and was angry when he suggested she drop the negative attitude about Jessica. Michael and Paige informed Antonio that they needed to perform the transplant operation right away. Antonio faced Jessica, who asked if he was sure he wanted to do this; her entire family anxiously looked on. A mysterious typed letter arrived at the police station. Talia read the message, which warned that everyone in Llanview would be punished for the "abomination" that was about to take place: a pure white woman being made impure. Meanwhile, someone in a doctor's coat snuck into the oxygen supply room at the hospital, strapped dynamite to some oxygen tanks and set the timer.

In Jessica's hospital room, a grateful Viki told Antonio she would never forget his gesture. A tear slid down Antonio's face as he watched Nash kiss Jessica good-bye before the surgery. Talia made a call to Bo, who was at the hospital, to tell him about the latest OPP message. John was trying to find out what Marty had to tell him when Talia called to inform him of the threat.

Marty ran into Miles, who was thrilled about their impending union, but Marty was furious at him for forcing her hand. She said she wouldn't agree to anything until she had some answers, then stormed off. "Answers about what?" Miles called after her.

Antonio wasn't interested in all the scary details of the surgery and just wanted to get prepped. Dorian irked Viki by telling Adriana she was so concerned about Carlotta, especially since her son was going to have surgery to save a woman who cheated on him. Clint comforted Viki as she recalled being in a similar situation. Natalie sat with Jessica and gave her sleeping sis a pep talk. Natalie got weepy as she thanked Nash for retrieving Antonio and indirectly saving Jessica's life. Alone with Jessica, Nash told her he loved her numerous times and assured her that he'd never leave her. Michael allowed Nash to sit in the gallery after some pleading.

Bo, Talia and John went over the typed threat and realized that Antonio's liver might cause OPP to view Jessica as contaminated. Talia held up a newspaper article on the estranged couple and pointed out that everyone in Llanview knows about the surgery.

Michael and the surgeons informed Antonio that they must first harvest his liver, then administered the anesthesia. Antonio began to fall asleep as Jessica was wheeled into surgery and placed next to him. She looked over at him and apologized for hurting him. "I did love you," she said, as Nash appeared in the gallery above.

Outside, the cops met with hospital security to discuss a potential bomb. The security director didn't want to jeopardize the lives of people already on life support or in surgery, but Bo assured her that it'd be much worse if they didn't evacuate the hospital.

Marty met with a defense attorney to ask some "hypothetical" questions about a taped murder confession being admissible in court. Whether it was premeditated or not, a taped confession is damning and could land that person in jail for several years, the attorney told her. Marty thought back to Miles saying Cole would be alone at his impressionable age if Marty were sent to jail. Meanwhile, Miles checked on Jessica's progress and told Viki and Clint he had some "personal business" to attend to, but would return. The timer on the bomb read 23 minutes.

Cristian confided to Natalie that Antonio wasn't speaking to him. Natalie seemed more interested in the revelation that Cristian knew that something was going on between Nash and Jessica. Viki and Carlotta commiserated over feeling helpless as parents; Carlotta told Viki that Antonio gave Jessica everything and she hopes this surgery doesn't take what little he has left. Dorian told Clint there'd been no word on anyone coming out of the OR. Everyone was on edge as they waited for the transplant to finish, then heard an announcement come over the loudspeaker about an evacuation. Viki feared something terrible was about to happen. Miles met Marty in another section of the hospital, where she told him she'd rather rot in jail than marry him. They continued to argue as a woman instructed everyone to evacuate.

John summoned Bo and Talia to Jessica's hospital room and showed them a bomb attached to a screen in her room. There was no timer, so John inferred that they must defuse the bomb now. Bo insisted on sticking around to help John, even though both of their lives were in danger. Matthew needs a father, John told him, then tried to persuade Talia to leave, too, but both cops wanted in on the action.

Paige worked on Antonio as Michael prepared to close Jessica. John pulled out a message from the defused bomb: "One down, one to go." The timer read 26 seconds as John realized another bomb was in the hospital. Up in the gallery, Michael informed Nash that the operation was successful. Nash looked down as Jessica was wheeled out of surgery, then turned to follow Michael out as an explosion blew through the vents in the OR.
