OLTL Recaps Week of July 16, 2007

Friday, July 20, 2007
Adriana came across something in Tate's backpack and presented it to him, explaining that it's a medallion with the OPP symbol on it and demanding to know why he had it. Viki asked Sarah to explain what she meant when she said her boyfriend knew something about Todd. She claimed all she knew was that he was alive when she last saw him. Todd spoke with Dorian, who explained that Blair was staying at La Boulaie and that she was the only one who believed he was alive. "You've got to get me Blair," Todd said. At the police station, Marty advised Cole to remain silent, Blair nearly attacked the teen and Bo calmly asked him to tell them everything.

Sarah explained to Viki that she didn't want to stay with Hunter, but when he was paid to keep Todd hostage, she stuck around to keep an eye on Todd. She didn't know who stabbed Todd or who was paying Hunter to keep him. When Sarah tried to go against Hunter to help Todd by leading Blair to him, her plan went awry. Rex advised her to let Clint and Viki know that her life might be in danger. Sarah said Hunter wouldn't hurt her, but Cristian and Rex felt that she could be in danger and should stay in Llanview with Viki or Clint. Sarah explained her desperate need to "blow this town" because she's not some "meat-eating, oil-drilling cowgirl," but Clint wasn't having it. Viki insisted that Sarah stay at Llanfair, while Clint felt that she should stay with the Buchanans, given that Cord is "the more responsible parent." Sarah opted to stay with Cristian.

Todd told Dorian he was in the forest and there was a sign that said, "Rules: Fires in rings only," just as Hunter knocked him out and threw down the cell phone. Dorian frantically called out for Todd, but the call was lost. She was about to rush to the police station when she suddenly recalled admitting to Blair that she thinks it's best if Todd is out of Blair and the children's lives.

Blair accused Cole of being a liar, and Starr wanted to know the truth. Cole admitted that he'd seen Miles with Todd a few days ago and that he had good reason for keeping this from her. John had to hold Blair back from nearly scratching Miles's eyes out. Bo wanted to hear Miles's side of the story. Miles's cell phone rang, but he didn't answer it in front of John, who watched over him as Blair and Starr demanded answers from Cole. Starr couldn't believe that her boyfriend lied to her. Dorian arrived and, against her own reservations, announced that Todd called. Starr rejoiced to hear that Todd was alive and Blair giggled that Todd had asked for her specifically. Dorian shared the "fire in rings" clue, which Bo thought could be a campground. John dialed the number on Blair's cell phone and found the line dead. He went to call the phone company to see what cellular tower it could have come from. Miles swore he didn't know where Todd was and he wasn't going to talk until he spoke with his lawyer. Miles made his phone call privately, and contacted Hunter, who wanted to know what he should do next. Little birdie Spencer appeared behind Miles's shoulder as he debated what to do. Miles gave Hunter instructions. John came back with word that the tower was at the Llantano Campground, and Blair insisted on going with him. Bo told John he would keep Marty on suspicion for 48 hours and put Laurence in a cell whether he talks or not.

Tate explained to Adriana that the medal was all he had left of his father, but Adriana thought it was kinda messed up. Tate pointed out that if he works with Adriana and Layla, how can he be a racist? Adriana thought back to something Rex said about Tate doing his best to cover up that he's a racist. Tate let out his frustration when she seemed suspicious. She wanted him to throw out the medallion because it made her sick. Tate called her a drama queen and put the medallion in his pocket, refusing to throw it out. He explained that he's not like Rex and won't just do whatever someone tells him to do. After one more plea, Tate tossed it in the trash can and Adriana told him to go home. On his way out, he swiped a set of keys from the shelf.

Dorian took Starr back to La Boulaie and advised her to look at the bright side of Cole's deception: She and Cole can break up and won't upset her father when he returns. Starr wasn't happy with that suggestion.

Cole and Marty said a tearful good-bye. Marty told Miles that she was going to find a lawyer to manage her annulment. Bo wouldn't let either of them leave the station and advised Miles to call his lawyer again.

Adriana headed to Rex's and told him he may have been right all along about Tate. At Clint's urging, Cristian agreed to host Sarah at his place. Before leaving, she told Viki that she did everything she could to help Todd and wanted to make sure Viki understood that. After Dorian failed to give Starr the love advice that she wanted to hear, Starr went up to her room to be alone and Dorian felt compelled to call Cassie. Cole arrived at La Boulaie with a stern face. Miles and Marty were escorted to their holding cells. John and Blair walked through the woods with flashlights and came upon the dead cell phone that Todd had used, right near the sign he tried to describe. Blair called out for Todd, but there was no answer.

Viki prayed to God to take care of Jessica and David, both still in the hospital. Outside, Rex and Cristian tried to persuade Sarah to see her family. Clint arrived to tell Viki that he'd just checked on Jessica and she was fine. Viki scoffed at Clint's apparent resentment of David. "Without him, Jessica would be dead," she declared. Just as Clint was about to tell her the truth, they heard a pounding on the front door and were shocked to find Sarah with Rex and Cristian. Blair shared her new Toddfinder Web site with Dorian, who could barely contain her disinterest. Britney told Starr she had something to tell her about her father, while Todd crawled through the woods and tried to get a drop of water out of a can. At the PD, Marty was about to confess to Bo when Miles came in. “Miles has been holding Todd Manning!” she yelled, pointing in his direction.

Sarah apologized to Clint and Viki for keeping her distance. Clint remarked that a time like this is when families should come together; Sarah hesitantly agreed. Everyone sat down in the living room, and Sarah spun a story about managing a band on the road. Viki wondered why she needed to take funds from the account her parents set up if she had a job. Sarah explained that touring was a very expensive lifestyle. She also lied that she happened to just run into Rex and Cristian in Chicago and had been hanging out with them since. Sarah explained that Chicago had a great music scene and that's why she was there, but Clint still seemed confused as to why Sarah was with Rex and Cristian, who refused to lie for her. Sarah broke down and admitted she lived in Chicago for a long time. Her music career didn't pan out, so she had her musician friends send postcards from all over the world to her parents. Viki wanted to know why she'd lie to her parents. She said she didn't want everybody to know that she's a "loser," referring to her unsuccessful music career. Clint let Sarah know that he'd have to tell Cord where she is. Viki's eyes widened when Rex asked Sarah to tell them what "her friend" did to her uncle.

Dorian suggested to Blair that it might be better for the children if Todd isn't in their lives and explained that she's just being a realist, that Todd isn't coming back. Blair said she'd hold out forever and claimed that if Todd returns, she's hoping for a reconciliation. Meanwhile, Todd went through more garbage in the woods. He made an impassioned plea to God (well, he said, "God, I realize that you hate me") and found a powered-up cell phone in the woods.

Britney continued to tease Starr with her information, so Starr told her to get out or just tell her where her dad is. "I don't know where your dad is, but I know someone who does — Cole” Britney gloated. Starr accused Britney of telling another lie, and said there was no way Cole would ever lie to her, especially about something like that.

Cole tried to get Miles to confess, but Miles pretended not to know anything. Bo told Miles to shut up and let Marty talk. Marty admitted that Miles blackmailed her into marriage and that she killed Spencer Truman. John asked for five minutes alone with Marty, leaving Miles under the watchful eyes of Bo, Cole and Natalie. Bo instructed Miles to drop his butt in the chair and not go anywhere. In John's office, Marty insisted that she was doing the right thing and that she killed Spencer, but John still felt she was jumping to conclusions. He didn't want to let her confess, while Bo told Natalie he thought John should take as much time as he needs with Marty, but wondered if John knew about this before. A pencil-necked reporter came in wanting an exclusive on the shrink who testified for Truman. Cole had a little chat with Miles, who tried one more time to convince Miles against exposing their secret. Natalie gives Miles and Cole a heads-up about the reporter. After Natalie left, Miles went back to trying to keep Cole quiet. Alone, Natalie indulged in some "Jolie" flashbacks.

Blair overheard Starr yelling and came running in to see what was going on. She asked Starr if she was yelling about her father. Dorian came in to tell them the news that Marty had confessed to murder. When Blair told Starr to watch her tone, Starr pointed out that her mom had been arrested way more times than Marty. "Watch your tone!" scolded Dorian, then asked Britney what the heck was going on after Starr and Blair left for the police station. Dorian scared off the teen faster than she could say, "Whatever."

Bo joined John and Marty and questioned her about why she was doing this and who she was protecting. Marty claimed to be protecting her son, who had just learned about what Marty did and came to the station to support her. Bo wanted to know who told her that Miles had Todd. Marty returned with John and Bo, and Cole admitted that he told Marty about Miles and Todd. Just as Cole told Bo that he'd known for some time, Blair and Starr walked in to overhear. Dorian found Blair's cell phone ringing in the foyer at La Boulaie, and heard Todd's voice on the other end. “Dorian, I gotta talk to Blair,” he mumbled.

Nash wanted to take Jessica home from the hospital, but she didn't think it was a good idea. Meanwhile, Clint enjoyed a drink and a shoulder rub at Dorian's and continued to be pissed about David's extortion. He said he found it amusing how David so desperately wanted to keep his deception from Viki and suggested that perhaps he really cares about her. Paige brought some treats for Bo to apologize for not being around much. He thanked her for saving his niece's life. When Paige was out of sight, Lindsay walked in to Bo's office and said she thought she might be able to help him with that "problem" he mentioned. "What problem?" said Paige, coming around the corner. Natalie ran into John at the police station and told him all about Nash and Jessica's wedding. When she mentioned Miles, she sensed that John had a problem with Miles. John insisted that he had good reason to distrust him. Meanwhile, Miles frantically searched for Todd near the bridge, but was having no luck. Cole confronted his mother about the secret she's keeping.

Cole told Marty he already knew that she killed Spencer. "The guy was a psychopath! He deserved to die!" Cole cried. She started to weep as she thought of being in jail and missing out on all of Cole's achievements. Marty broke down as Cole begged her to be honest with him. She explained that she had blocked out the memories for a long time and only recently started to put things together. Cole figured out that Miles had blackmailed Marty into marriage, and revealed that Miles had played him the confession tape. They both agreed to go to the police station, but Marty asked Cole to not say a word about Todd and Miles and said she would do all the talking. "If my mom has to do time, Miles, then so will you," Cole said aloud as Marty went to get ready.

Bo explained to Paige that Lindsay had been his sounding board when he was distraught over a Buchanan family crisis. Paige's beeper went off and she ran to the hospital. Lindsay offered Bo some cream puffs from the new bakery down the street, then realized Paige had also brought some.

Langston visited Cole at La Boulaie and hinted at a recent movie make-out session with Markko. Starr told her about Britney interrupting her dinner at Rodi's but said she wasn't going to take Britney too seriously. Langston wondered if Britney had something truly devious in the works. They joked about Britney being on the phone with her "bimbo friends," while Britney had a split-screen "squad conference" with Heather, Aimee and Amber. "A guy's gone missing here," noted Heather, pointing out that the info Britney has might be better served to save someone's life and not just for revenge. When Britney resolved to bring down Starr, Heather gave her the address for La Boulaie.

Natalie defended Miles to John, asking why he's become Public Enemy No. 1. John wouldn't give her all the details, but Natalie could tell something was really eating at him. Just then, Marty and Cole arrived at the station.

Miles made a cell phone call, telling the person on the other end to shut up and listen: "We've got a big problem." Shortly after, Hunter met Miles in the woods. After Miles convinced Hunter that he could probably be identified if Todd made it to safety, they set off to look for Todd together. They fumbled around the woods with a flashlight and came across one of Blair's fliers.

Jessica admitted her fears about her body accepting the new liver, but Nash assured her that she'd be okay. Nash read Jessica a pamphlet on recovering from her transplant. Jessica hoped to be able to work on The Sun again soon, even if from home. Nash read that they could also have children again. "The world's our oyster," he said, but Jessica reminded him of her allergy to oysters. He went outside to talk to Paige and admitted to feeling anxious about Jessica's recovery. He asked her to reassure Jess that the liver would take. She couldn't do that, but helped ease Nash's fears a bit. Nash presented Jess with an official wedding ring.

Dorian suggested that David's "favor" would only bring him and Viki closer, even though he is likely to take her money and run. Clint understood what she was getting at and said he knew she just wanted she wanted him to do: Break his promise to David and tell Viki the truth. Dorian offered to tell Viki herself, but Clint insisted on paying Vickers a visit at the hospital.

Britney showed up at La Boulaie, and offered to tell Starr just what it is that Cole is keeping from her. Marty informed John that she was at the PD to see Bo, while Cole called Miles and advised him to get to the police station before Marty confessed. After Miles hung up, Cole smiled to himself and said, "Gotcha." Marty approached Bo and announced that she had a confession to make.

At the hospital, John questioned a post-op David about Spencer's murder. David was perturbed when John explained that he wants to use Vickers as bait. John gleefully placed an ankle bracelet on him.

Rex pounded on Adriana's door, asking to speak with her. Layla answered and reported that Adriana was out. Rex prodded her to tell him where Adriana was; she admitted that Adriana and Tate were planning Tate's father's funeral. Rex explained that he and Bo suspect something is wrong with Tate. Layla pointed out that neither of them has any evidence against him. Rex became angry when she told him that Tate has been staying with her and Adriana; he was sick of the women defending Harmon. Layla wondered if Rex is truly sorry for going after Tate. Rex vowed to find out what Tate was really up to.

As Adriana and Tate planned the funeral, Tate became unhinged when the funeral director revealed that he has Hispanic blood. Tate rambled on about how Adriana is half Puerto Rican so he doesn't have a problem with it. The funeral director noted that Tate's father was probably proud of him; Harmon said he wasn't so sure. He then went on about how he hated having to make all of these arrangements for someone who's dead. He continued to become unglued as he imagined the funeral director telling him that he's nothing like his father.... When Adriana returned home, Layla said that Rex still loves her.... Tate made a call where he revealed his plan to have Adriana killed so he could "grieve" over his girlfriend and gain public sympathy. Later, Tate gloated to Rex about Rex losing Adriana.... Adriana began to go through the backpack that Tate left in her home.

At Rodi's, Blair urged Marty to go up against Miles so they can find Todd. Marty insisted that Cole isn't scheming with Miles.... Meanwhile, Todd lay muttering in the bushes. He struggled to stand up, but fell back down.

Britney watched Cole and Starr as they enjoyed a date at Rodi's. Starr relayed how Britney had said that Cole was keeping something from Starr about Todd. Cole confronted Britney, but she just taunted him about having a secret. Cole insisted that he wasn't hiding anything and demanded that she leave Starr alone. Britney looked forward to bringing down Cole and Starr, but wanted to wait for the appropriate time to drop the bomb.

Miles had Cole call him from across Rodi's. After Cole quickly hung up the cell phone, Miles pretended that he was still speaking to someone and being told that he had somewhere important to be. He then left.... Starr was suspicious about Cole's strange behavior; he explained that he's just concerned about Britney. Starr told her mom that Cole doesn't trust Miles.... Cole accused Marty of killing Spencer.

Also at Rodi's, Natalie hung out with Vincent. He quizzed her about her love life, but she didn't want to discuss it. She said that she wants to put her energy into her job with Buchanan Enterprises. Vincent was confident that she'd do well. Later, John arrived and joined her. Natalie filled him in on how Marty, Miles, Blair, Starr and Cole were all dining together and getting along. John warned her to be wary of Miles.

In the woods, the Spencer vision told Cole to find Todd, who was now laying unconscious.

Britney interrupted a close moment between Starr and Cole, and advised them to get their kisses in while they can. Blair sang about the difference between lonely and bein' alone at Capricorn, where Rex met up with Sarah. Rex asked if it ever occurred to her that if something bad happened to Todd, she'd be an accessory. Sarah pondered his comment as she watched Blair, who then caught the attention of John. Blair became visibly upset and stopped singing to tell the audience that the man she loves is missing, while Todd wandered through the woods as though learning to walk for the first time. At the hospital, everyone rejoiced to hear that Jessica's surgery was a success. In recovery, David looked over at Jessica and told her he hoped she would enjoy his organ as much as he did, and held her hand. She expressed her gratitude and called him her "hero."

Dorian asked Clint if her visiting David would upset him, despite the dirty deal between the two men. Clint admitted to wanting to rip out the other half of David's liver, then went off to pay Vickers a visit. Miles remarked to Marty how moving it is when a family comes together in a crisis, and offered to take Marty and Cole out to a family dinner. He informed Marty that there were no buts about it, and called Cole to tell him to meet them at the restaurant. At the park, Britney explained to Starr and Cole that love is fleeting and no one knows how long theirs will last. Britney took off, and Starr snapped at Cole when he seemed to express sympathy for Britney.

Blair took a seat at Capricorn next to John, who asked how she was doing. He advised her to take her time going back to the stage. She remarked that every day is hard, just as Sarah came over to say she may be able to help. She insisted to Blair that she took care of Todd when he was staying with her and Hunter, and that she never wished harm upon him. Blair didn't want to hear anything Sarah had to say unless it had to do with finding Todd. Rex received a call from a nervous Michael, who wanted to see Rex right away. He lost track of Sarah by answering the call and was promptly scolded by John.

At the hospital, Marcie asked Michael why he fled their apartment. He admitted to needing some time for himself after their difficult conversation. Marcie wanted to know if things were okay between them and was incredibly worried about how Michael was dealing with the news of her infertility. He apologized for running out and for being callous of late, and assured her that everything would be fine. Not even realizing that Michael has a secret of his own, Marcie lamented that things would never be the same for them. He wanted to talk more, but said he had a very important meeting to get to, which upset Marcie.

Nash visited his new wife in recovery and escorted her to a new hospital room. Sarah tried to visit Jessica but ran off when she saw Clint heading her way. David opened his eyes to see Clint standing over him. "You're lucky your ass isn't out in the parking lot," Clint snarked. David seemed to think Clint got a bargain now that Asa wouldn't end up in jail. Clint advised David to tell Viki himself about the $10 million. Clint went to see Jessica, then shared a close moment with Dorian, telling her how thankful he is to God for their relationship. Meanwhile, David was doing some drugged-out math with his $10 million when John showed up to remind him that he's still needed regarding Spencer's murder.

At Capricorn, Michael overreacted when he saw Rex with John and thought he was telling the lieutenant something about Tommy. John was quick to suspect that something was up between his brother and Rex. When they were alone, Michael admitted to Rex that his situation just got a lot more complicated, thanks to Marcie's condition. Because of this new development, Marcie seemed to think Michael was upset about it when he was mainly upset about the thought of losing Tommy and having no children at all. "This guys' already got two kids!" Michael whined of Manning, then noted it'd be fine with him if Todd stayed missing forever. Sarah returned, much to Rex's relief, and Michael took off. She admitted that she went to the hospital to see if Jessica was okay. Next time she decides to take off, she could at least give a little warning, he barked.

Cole and Starr arrived at Rodi's early and bumped into Blair, who recounted her mini-meltdown at Capricorn. Not wanting to interrupt their date, she offered to go have a drink by herself at the bar, then was shocked to see Marty and Miles approach their table. A few tables over, Britney told her friends she was planning to drop a major bombshell on Starr about her missing father, who continued to struggle through the woods. He stopped at a flier with his face on it and murmured, "Blair." The Laurence family sat down to their awkward dinner, and Britney came over to ask Starr if they could speak in private. Marty received a call from a patient and stepped away for a moment, too, leaving Cole and his stepdad alone. Cole immediately asked where Miles was hiding Todd now. Miles reminded Cole that by keeping his secret, Cole was "protecting his mother." Cole got a little worked up and accidentally spilled a glass, drawing Blair's attention to their conversation. Britney claimed to Starr that Cole is lying to her about something "totally huge." Starr wasn't interested in Britney's lies. When Starr returned to the table, Miles and Cole covered that they were talking about sports. Blair stopped Marty on her way back to the table, and asked what Cole and Miles know about Todd. Blair pointed out that Miles seems a little too interesting in displaying a united front with Cole, and that she thinks they're keeping a secret. She proposed that the two women work together to find Todd. Marty looked over at Miles, while a struggling Todd doubled over in the woods.
