OLTL Recaps Week of Feb. 13, 2006

Friday, February 17, 2006
David dropped by Craze to help Adriana put together the spring spread (even though there's no way a magazine would just now be starting on a spring issue). She told David that Rex makes her happy while Dorian eavesdropped from outside the office. Dorian walked in and told David he should not stick his nose where it doesn't belong. David said he was just trying to help and then told Adriana he had to leave before their photo shoot. When Adriana went to take a phone call, Rex came by with flowers, but Dorian wouldn't let him inside the office. Rex listened to Adriana yell at a vendor on the phone about how she doesn't have time to be "wined and dined," and in another very THREE'S COMPANY-like misunderstanding, Rex assumed she meant wined and dined by him. So he tossed his flowers in the trash and left. Dorian peeked outside the office and smiled when she saw the flowers in the trash. She then went back into the office and endeared herself to Adriana by saying it must be hard for her to be smitten with a boy her mother detests.

Apparently Tess and Nash had just had sex because they were lying together undressed sighing contentedly. The bliss came to halt when Nash told Tess he's taking her back to Llanview. Tess freaked out and said she is running away. Then she started in on the whole "you love Jessica" thing again. Tess said she's scared to go back to Llanview, but Nash said he'll be there every step of the way.

Natalie came by Cristian's loft to talk him out of boxing. Cristian suggested that the reason she came over was because she's still in love with him. Later Natalie had Lindsay call Cristian to say she had a buyer of one of his paintings, thinking that the money might make him reconsider boxing. About two minutes later Cristian showed up at Lindsay's and overheard the ladies talking about lying to him.

When John went up to the front of the plane to talk to the pilot about the ice storm they were about to fly through, Todd lifted a gun off of a sleeping guard sitting next to him. John caught him, though, and swiped the gun back. Despite this, John went up to the cockpit again and left Todd alone with the inept guard. Todd tackled guy causing him to accidentally fire his gun and shoot the pilot. Before the pilot died, he flipped on the plane's autopilot.

Matthew called Rex to talk about a girl who IM'ed him on the computer. Rex told him to relax and just IM her back. They called each other "brother." Later, Matthew called Rex back to say that he wound up IMing with the girl from school for an hour. Rex congratulated him. Matthew told him he's glad that Rex is part of his family now.

David saddled up to the bar at Ultraviolet next to Hugh's secretary Joyce. She flirted with him very heavily and offered to buy him a drink. David tried to get info out of her about Todd's murder case, but she didn't spill anything. Instead, David said, "I've got a cheerleader outfit I'd like you to try on," and they left together.

Marcie was shocked by the marriage proposal. She told Michael he was crazy and said she's afraid he is overreacting to his near-death experience at the hands of the junkie. Michael said he was sure he wanted to marry Marcie. Marcie closed the ring box and said, "I'm sorry. I can't marry you." Michael was stunned. Marcie started screeching about how she can't pay bills or cook eggs, how marriages usually end in divorce. Michael told her that they can make it work, and then he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him again. This time she said yes. They hugged, and everyone in the club applauded.

Tess and Nash wandered into an empty, yet fully furnished cabin to talk. She started in right away with the accusations that he is in love with Jessica. "She's better than me," Tess told Nash. He assured her that he does not think that's true.

Paige told Bo that she needs to tell him something, but they were interrupted when Natalie came in to tell Bo that the plane transferring Todd has been grounded. While Bo walked off to tend to some business, Paige got a call from Spencer, who reminded her of his threats. Bo came back to Paige and said he got a call from the warden who told him Paige visited Todd in jail. Bo wanted to know what was going on, but Paige said she had to go. She went to the room where Spencer was keeping Margaret and found the bed covered in blood. She then picked up a bat similarly covered in blood. Spencer popped up behind her and said that she had just put her finger prints all over the murder weapon that it will now look like she it used to kill Margaret.

Evangeline and Cristian still sat off in their little corner together at Ultraviolet. They talked about whether Vangie was really over John and Cristian was really over Natalie. Natalie walked into the club and interrupted them. Evangeline left, and Cristian asked Natalie to have a beer with him. She agreed.

Todd told John he's heard that he's having "a little trouble at work." He told John a good way to clear his name would be to help an innocent man sentenced to death and put the real bad guy behind bars. He told John everything he knew about Paige and Spencer, but John didn't nibble. Eventually, the plane was cleared for take off and the pilot started the engines.

When Blair came home with Spencer, Starr jumped on her mother's case for moving on with Spencer so soon. "You can't wait for dad to be dead," she told her. Blair sort of apologized for not taking care of her business at home as well as she should. Starr asked Blair if she thought Todd really killed Margaret, and when Blair said she did, Starr called her a bitch. Blair responded by slapping her daughter. She told Starr that she tried to forgive Todd, but that she just can't get past what he did. Starr ran off. Later, Jack came downstairs and hugged his mom. "I miss Daddy," he told her.

Spencer bellied up next to Blair at Ultraviolet's bar. They had a few words and then Blair told him, "What happened between us, Spencer, can never happen again." Spencer said all he is concerned about is whether their friendship has been put in jeopardy. Later, Denton approached them and asked Blair for his job back. Spencer shoved him in the face and he left. When Blair went to the bathroom, Spencer made a phone call to Denton, who was just over on the other side of the bar, and told him to leave town for good. "You definitely do not want to make me unhappy," he threatened.

Evangeline was also at Ultraviolet, thinking back to time she spent with John the last Valentine’s Day. Cristian approached her and said he was also thinking about last year’s February 14 and then flashed back to his being in prison. They sat down together and had a friendly chat.

Rex and Adriana exchanged mushy glances and corny "you’re amazing" compliments as they waited for Lifehouse to go on at Ultraviolet. Meanwhile, Marcie met Michael in a fresh set of clothes. Michael told Marcie he loved her and then started into his proposal, but he was interrupted by Rex’s introduction of Lifehouse. As they played "You and Me," a real sugary love song, Michael took Marcie over to some screens on the wall and clicked a remote to reveal, "Marcie, will you marry me?"

Rex spied Denton walking away with Spencer and told Adriana he just saw a lead he had thought disappeared.

Natalie had words with Dr. Crosby. She told him that she has a bad feeling about John’s transporting Todd. She pleaded with the doctor to lay off of John a bit. He told Natalie he likes John and wants to see him get his badge back, but that it’ll only happen if he is able to successfully deliver Todd to the facility upstate as he has been assigned.

John met Todd at prison to take him to death row. Todd told him that he was set up by Spencer. John asked for proof, but Todd had none. John let Todd borrow his phone to call Evangeline to change his denial of an appeal, but it went to voice mail. Todd kept pleading (whining, actually), but John told him he wasn’t hearing it. As they were about to board the plane Natalie approached them and told John that she wants him to get somebody else to escort Todd. John said he has to do it so he can get his badge back.

Paige visited Bo at the station and told him she loves him. Bo asked her if everything is okay. She said it was. Bo gave her a necklace as a Valentine’s Day gift.

Kevin came home to find Kelly screeching as she swung a huge, heavy mallet at a wall. She said she was redecorating and gave Kevin some line about "whole new life, whole new home." Kevin asked her if she was just venting anger stemming from his infertility. Kelly said she is frustrated and upset but that she won’t give up hope. Kevin grabbed the hammer and bashed the wall a few times himself.

Bo gave John his badge and gun back and assigned him to escort Todd in an airplane to his death-row prison cell. When Natalie heard about the assignment, she got a bad feeling and warned John to be careful. She asked John to wear the charm she gave him for good luck. He pulled on a chain around his neck to show her he already was.

Paige told Todd she knows for a fact he was set up but wouldn't tell him by whom. Todd guessed she was talking about Spencer. Paige didn't quite deny it, but she didn't confirm either. The guard carried Todd away before he could pry any more.

Matthew escorted Renee to the Palace bar to meet Asa, who was waiting for her with yellow roses and a glass of bourbon for himself. Asa and Matthew shared a steak and talked about love. When Matthew got up for a minute, Asa told Renee he loves her.

Antonio got caught in a bear trap while searching for Jessica in the snowy woods. He struggled to free himself, but if all the moaning and grunting was any indication, he was in considerable pain as he hobbled off.

Tess ran away from Nash's car but Nash went after her. Nash denied that he had feelings for Jessica, but he couldn't convince her. But when he planted a big kiss on her, she hugged him.

David and Roxy shared their woes in love and ate candy in Angel Square. They watched Michael and Marcie share a few moments alone. Roxy noticed that Michael was holding an engagement ring in his hand as he kissed Marcie. Michael told Marcie he loved her and that he had something he really wanted to tell her, but Marcie interrupted saying she was cold and wanted to go into the club to hear Lifehouse play. Plus, she said she had to "tinkle." When Marcie ran off to use the facilities, Michael approached Roxy and David and showed them his ring. David gave Michael a few pointers on proposing.

Margaret threatened to reveal that Spencer framed Todd when the doctor refused to tell her how he was going to get Todd to be with her. Spencer got very angry, but Margaret said she has been thinking to figure out what Spencer has to gain by she and Todd getting together. Margaret again accused Spencer of only being interested in winding up with Blair. Spencer exploded and got violent with Margaret. He admitted that Margaret had correctly figured everything out and then slipped on a pair of gloves, threatened her life and moved toward her.

Paige and David talked a bit. David could tell something was bothering Paige, but she was careful not to say too much other than that Bo's fate was involved. David asked if she was saying Spencer killed Margaret. "It's much more diabolical than that," Paige replied. After she left, she went to visit Todd in jail and told him he was set up.

Blair visited Todd in jail to ask why he refused to appeal the death penalty. "What do you care?" he answered. "You've already given up on me, and without you my life isn't worth living." Todd asked Blair if she's moved on with Spencer. Although she didn't say yes, Todd realized she didn't say no either, and he got angry and walked away.

Antonio found a letter Tess left for Nash at the cabin. Clint called Bo to the scene to help. Nash read the "Dear John" letter Tess left. She told him that she realizes that the alter never gets the guy, so she's leaving. Against Bo's advice, Antonio and Nash both headed out into the woods to try to find Tess/Jessica. Bo took a call from Paige where she simply said she loved him and then hung up. Bo could tell something was wrong.

With Tess napping in the seat beside her, Niki asked the truck driver to bring them to The Hot Spot to meet "this guy." Tess woke up and told Niki to keep her nose out of her life. She then demanded the driver let her out on the side of the road. He complied. Tess wandered alone in the cold on the side of the road talking to herself about how she is free from Niki, Tess and Antonio. She waved down a car to hitch a ride just to see that it was Nash driving.

Meanwhile, the truck driver took Niki to The Hot Spot.

Michael and Marcie met at the diner and told each other they were happy to be back together. Marcie stepped away to take a phone call, and Michael hid an engagement ring in a sundae. Marcie came back to the table and Michael said they should share the dessert. But when Marcie dug her spoon in without seeing the ring, Michael suddenly reached out and stopped her from gulping it down and spilled it all over her. He apologized and they laughed about it, then headed to the party at Ultraviolet.
