OLTL Recaps Week June 26, 2006

Friday, June 30, 2006
Todd welcomed all his guests to his "thank you for my life" party at the Country Club, predicting a night no one would ever forget. He told his big sis Viki not to worry, that this was just a thank you party, that's all. He then thanked each guest, one by one. To Viki: "You must have gotten all the good genes." Starr: "You are the toughest nut in the room. You are the only person who never questioned if I was innocent or not." Todd offered to help David prove he (David) was innocent. Todd said they probably both hated Spencer equally. Spencer and Blair arrived. Viki turned to Natalie and said, "Now this is beginning to make sense." Blair was annoyed that Spencer had followed her there. Todd made a public thank you to Evangeline. "You have more heart than any lawyer has had. You are a good person." Evangeline assured him that he didn't have to do this. "I know how you feel," she said. Todd got a dig at (though backhandedly) to Blair as he went on and on about Evangeline, saying she never abandoned him. Todd turned the focus to "my former wife and her illustrious boyfriend Dr. Love." Viki tried to stop Todd from going on. Todd awarded Blair to Spencer, "as a consolation prize," but he couldn't have the rest of his life or his family.

Blair and Spencer started to dance, though Blair made eye contact with Todd. Todd danced with Evangeline, and narrated what was happening — Cris appeared to be jealous and Blair was shooting him looks. David danced with Adriana and both agreed they wanted the other to be happy. Rex and Adriana left the party, though we clearly saw that the stalker was watching them. Natalie begged David to admit to shooting John's father. David told John he had shot his father. Ricky got mixed messages re: Todd. Starr was so proud of him but Cris warned Ricky not to trust Spencer.

Spencer caught Blair on his computer. She immediately claimed to be looking something up on a Web site. Spencer asked for details about what she was looking for, and she managed to cover up. Blair immediately said she certainly wasn't spying on him. Blair got that text message from Todd and immediately tried to leave. Spencer commented that he didn't feel as connected to Blair as before. Blair admitted that things have changed with Todd being back in the picture but promised him that noting would affect "us." The two kissed.

Clint visited Dorian, who was delighted to see him smile. The two talked about all the dramas in his life lately. Clint hoped to focus on the living. He pointed out that Dorian and Viki loathe each other. Dorian rattled off what she didn't like about Viki. Dorian wondered how Clint could start over (romantically) with Viki holding him hostage. Clint claimed he wasn't pining over Viki. Dorian said that drove her crazy. Clint kissed her. "You stubborn, edgy woman," he said as the two began passionately kissing again. Clint agreed there wouldn't be any more dancing (around the issue of their relationship) and then he left, with Dorian practically out of breath.

Matthew asked Bo for the truth regarding his being off the job. Matthew said, "You mean you are being framed, like Starr's dad." Bo smiled, "Well, it's not that bad." Matthew visited Nora and Bo popped in to see Paige. Paige explained to Bo why she didn't level with him. "We can't change what we've done, we can only change what we can do now," Bo assured Paige. Bo asked Paige to help him get Spencer. Paige's face lit up when Bo hinted that they might be able to start anew. Bo added that he can't get past all her secrets and admitted he's unforgiving. Both admitted they missed their "friends" a.k.a. each other. Paige added if they can't forget the past how can they even think about a future. Paige didn't think she deserved a second chance. "Maybe we both do," Bo said.

Matt visited Nora, who was sitting in a wheelchair. Matt shared with his mom that Bo was in trouble. Nora suggested that the two guys take care of each other. RJ smiled as he watched her try to talk. RJ brought her some presents including an iPod filled with songs, all "legally downloaded." Nora wanted to go home to make it up to Matthew. RJ gave Nora a pep talk. Nora wondered why he cared. RJ went in for a kiss, a longish kiss on the lips.

Why did Blair drop by Spencer's suite?

Throughout the episode we saw a man's hand working on a list of names of residents of Llanview. Toward the end of the episode, everyone's cell phones began ringing. Evangeline's came in on another ringtone. No one would actually say what the phone message read, but everyone looked aghast at their phone. We did see Ricky's, which was a text message summoning him (alone) to the country club. Ricky and Viki headed out. Cris insisted on going with Evangeline. John and Natalie went. Rex went. By the end of the episode we learned it was Todd and he wanted to include one more name: Blair Cramer.

Nash and Claudia kept on kissing, Nash clearly not aware that he was not kissing Tess. Nash woke up horrified "What game are you playing?" he said. Nash lept out of bed. Claudia said that Tess doesn't exist and there was nothing left in Llanview for him. Nash refused to listen. Claudia gave Nash a no strings attached offer (of some fun in bed) and she reminded Nash that at least she was real. Nash wasn't tempted and went back to bed. Claudia wasn't happy.

The stalker left a photo of Rex with a knife it in near Adriana's booth at the coffee shop. Adriana flipped when she saw it and grabbed the knife (holding a tissue). Ricky had seen a guy leave, but didn't see his face. Adriana found Rex and told him about the photograph. Rex did his best to comfort her.

Rex gave Neilly a copy of the forged documents. Neilly said she didn't think it was a forgery. Rex suspected that Neilly knew more and that she recognized forger's handiwork.

Evangeline kept questioning Cris about his right hand, his painting hand. Cris said he was fine, but Evangeline (and WE) know it's not. Cris tried to tell Evangeline how he feels, that made Evangeline nervous and she asked to leave. "I can't see my future," she said. Cris added that she was important to him. "This is real," he assured her. Cris added that she thinks too much.

Natalie offered to help John try to figure out how Bo's signature could be a forgery. Natalie tried to help, but John had already exhausted all options. Natalie became frustrated about the situation so John hugged her (even though they were in the police station so it was public). John smiled (a rarity) and didn't care.

Viki startled Jessica by saying she was to blame for the young girl's abuse. Viki added that she knew there was something wrong when she would find little Jessica fully dressed in bed. She never questioned then why they were so exhausted or why Viki was waking up with makeup on. Viki started to cry and Jessica forgave her. Jessica blamed it all on the horrible men who had done this to them. The two said "I love you" to each other and hugged.

Antonio told Clint that Brennan would know, eventually of course, that Nash was her father even though Antonio would always love Brennan and would take care of her. The two men bonded about fatherhood and Antonio was grateful, even though he felt that Clint really wanted Nash with Tessica. (Yes, Antonio said "Tessica.") Clint agreed that he did like Nash, but Antonio feared that Nash would be after Tess and Brennan. Clint reminded Antonio that Jessica would soon become a whole person. Antonio was afraid about how this "full" person would feel about Nash.

Adriana wondered if she might know her stalker. Rex promised to hire a bodyguard. Then we the viewers saw someone (the stalker perhaps?) pin up a new photo of Adriana on a wall covered with them. Rex told Adriana a little bit about the special evening he had planned for her at the Bayberry Inn. Rex met with Neilly, a friend from his less-than-respectable past, at the Palace. She commented that he looked well. He asked if she was still a fixer. Apparently he needed to find out who forged some documents. Neilly wasn't so eager to help Rex and then showed her engagement ring. Adriana went to work on her laptop at the counter of the coffee shop. A person in a black outfit lurked and then entered the coffee shop.

Nash and Claudia were at the Brennan Winery. Claudia agreed to help Nash if he could prove that Reston (her father) actually threatened Nash. When it appeared that Claudia still had feelings for Nash, he reminded her that he was going to get back to Brennan and Tess as soon as he could. Reston told Nash he was the worst thing that ever happed to Claudia. Nash slept in the bed. Claudia napped on the floor. Nash dreamt of happier moments with Tess. Claudia crawled into bed with a sleeping Nash and they started kissing.

At Asa's house, Clint and Dorian threw a welcome baby Brennan party. Dorian crashed it, much to Viki's chagrin. Viki asked Dorian to leave; Dorian said she was there to see Clint. Jessica told Dorian she was glad she was there. Jessica thanked Dorian for not helping Tess run away. Dorian and Jessica hugged. Viki admitted to a concerned Jessica and Clint that Niki might not be gone forever and she might have to go back to therapy. Viki struggled (and grabbed her head) with Niki wanting to come out. Jessica figured it out and said, "Mom, stay with me." Viki reminded Jessica that Tess would always be a part of her, as Niki remains a part of Viki. Dorian and Clint talked about the loss of Duke. Dorian offered her services as a friend, someone to talk to. Dorian hoped he'd take her up on it someday.

Todd visited his family at Dorian's pool. Todd wanted to take his kids out for burgers. Jack wasn't up for it, but Starr wanted to very much. Jack eventually said okay. Todd appeared to have won that round. Todd and Blair began to argue (no big surprise). Blair alluded to the fact that things were not all as they seemed. Todd got nasty about Spencer's relationship with Blair and then kissed Blair to see if he still felt something. He proudly said he felt nothing, but Blair didn't believe him for a minute.

Cristian's hand still hurt, which made it difficult to paint. He pretended not to be upset about anything when Evangeline dropped in but she figured out something was wrong. Cris said he had knocked over an easel. Well, yes he had, but there was more. Evangeline told Cris about the whole Bo debacle. Evangeline said she turned down Bo's request to be his lawyer. Evangeline didn't think she was up to the job, either for Bo or for Todd. Cris wanted to experience was it was like to be blind, so he wore a blindfold and then walked around the studio. He began kissing Evangeline and we the viewer saw that he was clenching his hand in pain. Cris then began painting her shoulders (we didn't see paint, though) with his left hand, which is something she immediately asked him about. (That Evangeline doesn't miss a thing, blind or not.)

Antonio told Jessica that Norma Leeds is dead. Antonio reassured Jessica that Brennan was "our baby." Jessica wondered if Nash would ever really give up on raising his daughter. Jamie and Carlotta arrived and it was a hugfest all around. Antonio showed baby Brennan to her big sister. Jessica teared up over the scene. When she looked at Jamie, she saw little Jessica for a moment, and that freaked her out.

Vincent had a deal for Natalie. He asked her for tips on how to commit the perfect murder. Ha, ha, ha — he was joking. Natalie had no time to talk to him. Vincent wanted to have dinner with her. Natalie explained she was seeing someone, so the answer was no. "I won't tell if you don't?" Natalie refused to have dinner with Vincent and then vowed never to lie to John again. Vincent said he wasn't into romance, and predicted that it was only a matter of time before Natalie came back to him. Natalie returned to the police precinct and told John the truth. John asked why she lied. Natalie explained that Vincent wanted to know about forensic work. John said "if you ever lie to me like that again, we're done. Got it?" "Got it," Natalie replied. Natalie volunteered to help clear Bo's name. John seemed okay with that.

Michael begged Bo to tell him who had overheard David admitting to having killed Thomas McBain. Bo refused and said that would be compromising the informant's (Blair's) safety. Bo assured John that he had his back, and that this would be all cleared up, the stuff with Spencer and everything. Bo asked John to hold down the fort.

Blair was stunned that Spencer asked her to move in. Blair said that was impossible because of Todd. Spencer ask her if she still loves Todd. She vehemently denied that, but waffled when he again pressed her to move in with him. Blair thought it was better to stay at Dorian's. Blair kindly turned down Spencer's proposal of marriage. Things with her teenage daughter Starr were bad enough, she said.

Evangeline refused to help Todd win custody of his children. Evangeline admitted she tried to save him from himself. "I'm the old Todd. I'm back," he declared. Evangeline wondered if he ever listened to what he says and how he says it. Evangeline stressed that Starr and Jack are Blair's priority. Todd vented (and we mean VENTED) everything to Evangeline. "People in this town used to fear me, used to envy me, used to hate me. I want them to do that again." Evangeline couldn't believe what she was hearing. Todd accused her of turning on him. Evangeline countered as best she could. "I'm not going to indulge your simple little revenge fantasy." Then Todd hit back. He asked her when "did you actually help me?" Todd reminded her that she didn't get him acquitted or keep him from being executed. "Were you freaking blind during all that stuff too?" YIKES. Todd immediately tried to apologize. "You are the last person I am going to want to hurt." Evangeline tried to get out of the penthouse as soon as she could, but being blind and having on three inch heels, she tripped. Evangeline accepted his apology and tried to get Todd to admit he still loves Blair.

At Dorian's pool, Kelly watched Starr and Jack. She also stared at the pregnancy test she has yet to take. Starr panicked at the thought that Blair might be in love with Spencer. Starr assured Kelly that her parents already worked things out "because they loved each other." Blair showed up with news that Todd was home at the penthouse. Starr wanted to rush home ASAP but Blair said no. Starr threatened to go to a judge to get permission to live with her father. Blair promised not to choice Spencer over Todd, but couldn't answer Starr's question if she was going to break up with Spencer. Kelly left and Todd showed up, much to the delight of Starr who ran into his arms.

Matthew visited ailing grandpa Asa. Asa waxed philosophical about the next generation of Buchanans. Matthew asked, "Grandpa, are you going to die?" "Everybody's going to die, Matthew, living is what's important," he responded. Matthew learned that his Grandpa Asa was "a cowboy with just a horse" but with hard work, he bought the ranch and that came with all the oil underneath the ranch as well.

Bo ran into Spencer in Paige's hospital room. Bo demanded that Spencer confess to setting up Todd and setting up him. The two men began discussing Blair. Bo assured Spencer that Blair would come to her senses soon.

Rex couldn't believe that Bo was packing up his office and stepping down. Bo reassured him that he would prove that these claims against him (that he had signed the papers IDing Margaret's fake body) were all bogus. Bo didn't want to be a part of another high profile scandal (remember Colson?). Rex told Bo about Adriana's stalker and showed him the butterfly. Bo said he couldn't do much without his badge and suggested Rex go to John McBain. Bo told Rex he didn't want him to do any police work on his own. Rex exited with these parting words: "You're the best cop I know and the best man." Bo smiled.

Todd surprised Blair at the penthouse with a new haircut (his) and news that he was planning to sue for custody of Jack and Starr. Todd made a snarky remark that he missed her because he had been "sleeping alone in our bed." Blair admitted to having been with Spencer. Todd asked her to leave "my house." Blair made plans to move herself and the kids to Dorian's.

David visited Todd and assured him that Spencer probably knew where baby Todd was. Todd would pay David handsomely for that information. Todd refused to pay David anything for helping save his life, however. David's warned that after this whole thing is over, "only one of you will be left standing." (David was referring to Todd and Spencer.)

Marcie read David the riot act at the coffee shop. David didn't want to get into it, but she yelled "I hate you" so all could hear. She and Michael turned their attentions to baby Thomas, clearly doting on him. Perhaps Marcie has grown too attached, as she's avoiding all appointments with the social workers. David tried to apologize again. "Too little, too late Vickers," Michael muttered as he left the coffee shop.

John and Natalie had a nice breakfast on John's roof. John said no to Natalie's request to shadow him on a case. She apologized for having gotten involved with Vincent Jones. Then who should call but Vincent Jones. Natalie left after telling John she was going to meet her "lab partner." Natalie met with Vincent at the coffee shop. He offered her a deal.

Bo packed up his office, to the shock of many. Bo assured Blair that he wasn't going to be speaking publicly about what was going on with him. Blair had some scoop: She reported that she had heard David confess to killing John McBain's father. Bo shared that information with John.

Spencer interrupted David's visit with Paige. David declared he wanted out from under this (Spencer's thumb) and shared that he had confessed. Spencer offered to help. David wasn't interested. Paige assured Spencer that Bo knew everything. Spencer wasn't panicked. "My hands are clean," he declared. Spencer didn't think anyone would believe the word of "a couple of murderers."

Dorian finally learned about Adriana's stalker and was horrified. Rex assured her that he'd be protecting Adriana. Darryl offered to protect Adriana from the stalker. Dorian was grateful.

Spencer got a call from the morgue attendant in Kentucky. Apparently the deal was that Spencer would perform a life-saving surgery on his sister, if the attendant would lie for Spencer. The attendant admitted to not being comfortable about lying to the police.
