OLTL Recaps Week of February 5, 2007

Friday, February 9, 2007
Jessica and Antonio were hoping for a quiet night when the phone began ringing, Bree woke up and Nash knocked at the door. Antonio was called to a stakeout and left. "You are not supposed to be here," Jessica told Nash. Nash wanted to see Bree and Jessica said it would be okay for Nash to take her. Unfortunately, she claimed, Bree was fast asleep. Jessica grabbed her head and said she was dizzy. Nash wondered if she was pregnant again. No, Jessica said, "this feels different." Nash wondered if she was still Jessica.

Antonio and Talia waited outside of a building. The two shared a cup of coffee. Talia shared some chai with him. She asked why Antonio hadn't told Jessica about the arson at his office building. Antonio left to make a phone call. Talia saw someone approach the building and ignite a flame.

Everyone watched Spencer on TV with varying amounts of interest. He promised them he'd be having the last laugh. Spencer left his eternal hate and contempt to the Buchanans. Spencer confirmed that he had fooled Marty and thanked her for keeping him out of jail. He gave her a copy of her framed diploma. He left Evangeline the statue of justice. He gave Dorian a mirror, "so you can stare at the only person who actually loves you." Dorian ran into Paige and Bo in the lobby and told them about the video. She suggested Paige go upstairs and see what was being left to her. Spencer taunted Todd with the news that he knows where Todd Jr. is, and left him the blanket he wrapped Todd's son in. He added that a present was being delivered to Todd Jr. Michael looked pained. Michael said he was going to the hospital (he was really heading home) as Paige entered the suite. Spencer accused Blair of using his love as a weapon against him. He returned his engagement ring to her, which Blair begrudgingly took. He had nothing to say to Paige, but reminded her that she had been drunk while operating on Thomas McBain, and left her a bottle of cheap champagne. Spencer urged Michael and John to work together to find Spencer's killer. He added that he'd watched their father bleed to death. He left John "a challenge. To find my killer and make the bastard pay." Spencer announced that he had left all his money to "pure unadulterated goodness." On another video we saw the horribly disfigured face of Miles. The people in the hotel suite didn't know what to make of this reveal.

Bo asked Dorian for a drink while he waited for Paige. Dorian called Lindsay and told her to get to the Palace hotel ASAP. Lindsay arrived in a casual outfit. Dorian begged Lindsay get Bo to make a statement to clear Rex's name. Lindsay happily joined Bo as he waited for Dorian.

Starr brought up a present for Marcie. "It was left at the front desk," Starr said. Starr asked Marcie for advice. Marcie couldn't tell Starr what she wanted to hear but suggested Starr give it time. She added that if she gets caught and breaks the rules, things will get worse. Starr left. Marcie opened the gift, a silver engraved cup, and started to read the card when Michael barged in and told her to stop. A startled Marcie dropped the cup and it fell to the floor.

Cole ran into Tate and told him he was "the loser who was taking the steroids." Tate was impressed that Cole admitted to him he had taken drugs but reminded him that Cole had wanted to take them, and it had nothing to do with the team. The two chatted and Cole gave him his number if he wanted to talk in the future.

When did Spencer make his videotape?

Rex and Adriana awkwardly ran into Michael and Marcie and immediately stopped talking about Spencer's murder. Michael and Rex whispered about "the secret." Adriana and Rex talked about moving on with their lives, something Rex doubted would be possible for Michael.

Evangeline promised Carlotta that the arsonist would be caught. Evangeline then said hi to Todd, who she promptly informed her she looked like hell. Todd told Evangeline that Blair had left. "This time it's for real," he said. Cris shared with his mother than he wouldn't have been able to get through anything without Evangeline.

Meanwhile at Aunt Dorian's, Starr gave her mom the cold shoulder. Miss Manning made it clear that she wasn't talking to her mother and stormed off. Blair called Principal Wexler and reminded her that she had promised to keep Starr and Cole apart. Dorian wondered if Blair was upset because Cole was like Todd. Absolutely not, Blair said. Marty was the cause of all Blair's current unhappiness. So there!

Cole had a similarly chilly conversation with Marty. Cole reminded his mother that he wants to be Starr's friend, not friends with her parents.

The teens arrived at a special assembly. The chancellor told Marcie about the "situation between Starr and Cole." Marcie told him they were great kids. Great kids or not, the chancellor still wanted Marty to keep them apart because he feared a lawsuit from Blair. Marcie told the chancellor he could count on her support. The chancellor introduced Llanview graduate/former pro baseball player Tate Harmon, who went on to talk about not doing drugs. One student called out for Cole to pay special attention, which generated laughter from his peers. As she left, Starr handed Cole a note. Brittany offered to spy on Cole and Starr for Marcie, but Marcie declined the offer. Meanwhile, Cole and Starr ran into each other at the diner. Starr said she felt bad for Cole's humiliation at the assembly. Cole said Tate was right about drugs. Adriana bumped into Tate at the diner.

Natalie and John woke up all cuddly and cozy. Natalie wondered if they have what it takes "to spend the rest of our lives together." John agreed that last night was great. Natalie and John agreed that they have some issues with trusting each other. Natalie flashed back to when she tampered with the Truman evidence. John, however, said he would never lie to protect someone he loves. A sad Natalie wondered if things would ever be right between them again.

Everyone's phone began to ring. When they checked their caller IDs, they all looked rather pale. (This included Marty, Michael, Dorian, Blair...everyone who hated Spencer. Oops — did I give something away?) When John picked up the phone, the viewers heard Spencer's recorded message telling them all to be at the Palace Hotel in one hour. Todd thought it was a trap, Evangeline wanted to find out what it was about. Evangeline asked Todd to go with her and hinted that Blair might be there. Todd agreed to accompany Vangie to Spencer's meeting. Everyone began heading to the hotel and awkwardly ran into each other in the suite. Michael asked John if there were any leads on the case. Marty and Blair sniped at each other. Todd confirmed to Dorian that he and Blair "were finished." There was a knock on the door. John answered the door and pointed his gun at a man who said he was Spencer's attorney. He produced a DVD and played it for the group. Spencer began talking to them, saying that he knew he had been murdered.

Another fire flared up while Cristian was behind bars, so he was free to go. Vincent and attorney Aaron were not pleased. Vincent decided not to sue the city; Aaron's parting words were, "This isn't over." Once Cris went free, all went back to normal at the police station: Evangeline still worked for Nora and Antonio was still on the force. Antonio and Talia were heading to Rodi's for a beer and invited the others to join them. Cris had already left, much to Evangeline's surprise. Evangeline pounded on Cris' door to find him wrapped in a towel, fresh out of the shower. She was quite annoyed with him. However, he eventually carried her upstairs. Aaron told Nora he feels there is a conspiracy involved. He thought it was very peculiar that Antonio's property goes up in flames and Cris gets set free. Aaron accused her of just doing "what Bo Buchanan does." Vincent fired Aaron. He offered Nora a ride, but she said she had her own car. Nora promised Vincent she would find the person who burned his building down.

Talia and Antonio talked over some beers. Antonio learned that Talia had worked in New York City and that she'd been there at 9/11, but she didn't want to talk about it. Talia thanked Antonio for the beer and left looking quite distraught.

Clint brought Viki to the hospital after she was thrown off her horse. "It's my wrist and my dignity," she said. Dorian followed and Clint told her she was the reason Viki tumbled. Dorian claimed she was just kidding around and then blamed it on Asa's trainer and the horse. Dorian flirted shamelessly with Clint and suggested they go riding together. Viki learned she'll live and vowed revenge on Dorian. "I am sick to death of her," Viki blurted.

Dorian reported on the Clint/Viki date to Lindsay. Lindsay suggested Dorian cut her losses. Dorian told Lindsay that being nice to Rex means scoring points with Bo. Bo and Paige arrived followed by Viki and Clint. Dorian was flipping out while Lindsay was just smiling. Bo applauded Viki's decision to go after Dorian.

Rex explained to Adriana that he had grabbed the scissors to make sure his prints covered the murderer's. Rex refused to tell Adriana who killed Spencer, but he eventually relented and said he "knows" that Michael did it. Adriana was stunned. Rex explained that moments before Spencer was murdered Michael learned that Todd was Tommy's biological father. Rex continued that John had been assigned to Spencer's case. What would John think if he knew he was hunting for his brother?

Marcie told Lindsay about Rex being arrested for Spencer's murder. Mrs. McBain thought Rex was trying to protect someone. While dropping off some junk food for Michael at the hospital, Marcie learned that he had been there last night. "I thought you were with John," she said suspiciously. Michael said he had been in both places. Marcie reminded him that she needs to know that his alibi is solid.

A mystery man was seen making flight reservations to Llanview.

Bo insisted that Cris be booked for arson, over the objections of Evangeline and Antonio. The cop insisted he had to arrest Cris, so they could just keep quiet. Cris told Evangeline and Antonio that he had been called down to a photography job, and when he arrived he found a burning building. Nora showed up and reminded Antonio and Evangeline they are off the case. In an act of defiance, Antonio and Evangeline quit. Vincent and Aaron showed up to check up on the proceedings. Aaron pushed all of their buttons, but Nora kept things under control. Nora told Aaron that those resignations would not be accepted. Bo invited Vincent and Aaron into his office. Evangeline visited Cris behind bars. Cris declared his complete love to her. He told Evangeline she should ask for her job back. Cris reminded her that she never let him give up. The mood changed by Bo's office when Antonio came in with news that one of Antonio's properties had just burned down and that Cris was behind bars when it happened. (Guess Cris is off the hook?)

Bo visited Rex and told him that people want to see the Spencer case closed and Rex held responsible. He added he frankly can't see Rex as a murderer. Bo wanted to talk to Rex "father to son." Rex was very touched by this and admitted that he had begun thinking of Bo like a father. He reviewed what happened when he found Spencer in Blair's room. "That is the truth," he said. Bo let Rex go. Rex told Adriana that Bo had told him he was on notice not to leave town. Dorian offered to help Rex out with legal fees, but Adriana said they were fine. Rex told Adriana he knows who killed Spencer.

John assured Natalie he wasn't interested in breaking up with her. Natalie accused him of lying to her by not telling her about Marty keeping him from killing Spencer. John reminded her it was his recovery and he was going to do it his way. Natalie alluded that she thinks he may be arrested for the murder of Spencer. John was stunned that she thought he'd commit murder. John and Natalie didn't know how to fix their trust issues, so they made love instead. They agreed to work on fixing their relationship. "We have to try," John said as he hugged her.

Clint and Viki went horseback riding on their first date. Viki put on Clint's gift of a riding outfit, but really wasn't that keen on going. Clint and Viki agreed to go on another date and then were interrupted by Dorian. Clint made it clear to Dorian that he and Viki were on a date. Dorian began singing her own praises so enthusiastically that Viki was thrown by her horse and knocked unconscious.

Evangeline told Cris that Nora had advised her to steer clear of him for now. Cris agreed with Nora's advice, much to Evangeline's surprise. Vangie told Cris he was much more important to her than her job, and she worried that if they keep their distance in public it would appear that she thinks he's guilty.

Tess appeared in Nash's mind and reminded him that she still exists. Nash admitted to fantasy Tess that he loves both her and Jessica. Nash accused Tess of not wanting him with anyone. Tess insisted she wants him to be happy. Jessica showed up right at the moment when Nash was telling fantasy Tess that he had fallen in love with Jessica. (Poor Nash...timing is everything.) Nash tried to explain that he wasn't talking to Jessica...but didn't explain he had been talking to fantasy Tess.

Jessica dropped in on Antonio into the police station. Antonio tried to explain why he hired Nash to run Capricorn. Jessica just didn't understand why Nash was such a big part of their lives. Antonio asked her if something had happened between her and Nash "that you should be telling me." Jessica stopped short of telling Antonio about that steam room kiss.

Bo asked John if he killed Spencer. John admitted he wasn't home when Spencer was killed but added that he hadn't murdered him. Natalie kept trying to cover for John, but John continued to shush her. John explained why he had gone to the hospital the night Spencer had died (to try to convince the doctors not to send him to Wingdale). Natalie didn't believe him when he said he didn't want revenge on Spencer. Natalie stormed out of Bo's office. Bo asked John if he wanted to be on Spencer's case to deflect suspicion off of himself. Natalie returned to John's apartment and threw her purse on the floor. John asked for his job back and assured Bo that he was up to it physically and mentally. Bo encouraged John to talk to Natalie about why she thought he was guilty.

Blair and Marty had a showdown in front of Starr and Cole. Blair blamed Marty for her miscarriage and her failed relationship with Todd. Starr accused Blair of overreacting and then threatened to "call Dad." Blair broke the news of her non-future with Todd to Starr. Marty told Blair she could blame her for everything, but to keep her family out of it. Blair asked Marty if she saw herself when she looked into Spencer's eyes. Blair accused Marty of being just as evil as Spencer was. Marty referred to Starr as "practically a juvenile delinquent" to Cole and tried to convince him that Starr was not going to make him happy. Starr got into a big fight with Blair in front of Langston in Dorian's kitchen. Blair once again forbade Starr from hanging out with Cole.

Cris was arrested and brought to the police station. Nash and Jessica agreed to tell no one about the steam room kiss. John told Natalie that Bo accepted his explanation. Natalie gave John the opportunity to break up with her.
