OLTL Recaps Week of February 19, 2007

Friday, February 23, 2007
Nash and Antonio welcomed Nelly Furtado to Capricorn; apparently they were friends from way back. Antonio welcomed Jessica and Miles to the gala. Cristian glared. Jessica asked to speak to Cris in private. Meanwhile, viewers saw the arsonist prepare to set another fire. Jessica demanded that Cris let her handle this situation (her kissing Nash and keeping it a secret from Antonio) on her own. Miles asked if he could buy Blair a drink. Adriana and Rex made a pact not to talk about Todd or Spencer. Blair ran into Marty and they began arguing. Blair and Cris went out to get air. Blair told Cris that Todd didn't know how to have fun, at which point Cris pulled Blair into a hot kiss. Nash ran into Jessica in the stock room and she slapped him. Jessica blamed Nash for her troubles. They argued and then they started kissing passionately.

Natalie told John she knows he thinks that Michael killed Spencer. John didn't want to discuss it. Natalie and John argued, and she stormed out. John called Bo. He wanted to talk to him about Truman's murder.

Marcie and Michael left Tommy in Starr's care to baby-sit. They were off to hear Nelly Furtado. Michael was having a hard time not worrying about Tommy Jr. Meanwhile, Starr welcomed Cole, and they had pizza. They started to watch a movie and then started kissing.

Todd dropped in on Evangeline, who didn't want to see him or discuss the kiss. Evangeline thought what happened was her biggest mistake. Todd didn't want that to ruin their friendship; he didn't want to lose the best friend he'd ever had. He assured he that he wasn't going to hurt her. "Let me be your friend," he said. Evangeline opened the door and Todd tried to cheer her up. Todd wouldn't let Evangeline have the remote control and when she went after him for it, she fell on top of him. Uh-oh....

Marty, pinch hitting for Crosby, got John to open up and admit that he thought Michael murdered Spencer. John was not one hundred percent certain, though, and added that Michael wasn't the kind of person who would kill someone. "I've got this bad feeling inside...he killed him for me." The two bonded when they talked about losing people. John left and Cole came by to get his mom. Cole tried to convince her to go to Capricorn to be with adults and hear Nelly Furtado sing. "Since when did you become the parent?" she asked her son, and then agreed to go. Cole called Starr and made plans to meet up with her where she was babysitting.

Jessica begged Cristian not to tell Antonio about her near indiscretion with Nash. Evangeline overheard the conversation and was clearly tortured about keeping her secret about kissing Todd. Evangeline played dumb when she asked Cris about his talk with Jess. Then she said, "Cristian, there's something I have to tell you." Vangie told him about the Todd kiss and a split second later her phone rang — and it was Todd. Cris accused Evangeline of cheating on him. She tried to explain her way out of it. Cris said, "We're a lie and I don't want any part of it." Cris asked if Evangeline tried to push Todd away. "No? To me, that's cheating," Cris added. Evangeline began to cry as Cris left. Todd called her cell again, but she didn't pick up. She just sat sadly.

Miles dropped in on a surprised Jessica and Antonio. Antonio was concerned, saying, "remember, he's a Laurence." Miles told them a little about his childhood in an institution and added that he never knew his family. Antonio softened and Jessica made plans to bring Miles over to meet Viki. Jessica introduced him to Todd and Viki. Viki seemed okay with meeting him but Todd thought, "his story is as fake as his face." Viki opted to take a more balanced wait-and-see attitude.

Michael asked Natalie to get John off the Spencer case. Natalie didn't think she could do that and asked what Michael's family had to do with it. Michael didn't come clean with the real reason he was worried about John.

Blair asked Nash for a job, saying she's had a recent desire to sing, "and I can start tonight." She auditioned for him, and her song underscored the sad looks on Evangeline, Cris and Nash's faces. Blair was instantly hired. Cris heard the audition and then snarled to Antonio, "I don't like this guy." Cris announced so Blair could hear: "Todd kissed Evangeline yesterday. How about that?" Antonio pointed out that Evangeline was being honest with him. Cris asked Antonio what if Jessica kissed another guy, but Nash interrupted that exchange. Then viewers saw someone burning a flyer promoting the Nelly Furtado appearance at Capricorn.

Bo updated his department on how Matthew and Nora were doing, post fire. Bo added that he wasn't handling this situation all that well. "I want this guy caught, too," Antonio said. Bo sent Talia and Antonio out to find any and all clues. Matthew asked Bo why he and Nora couldn't stay at Bo's. Bo explained that it was better and safer at Grandpa Asa's. Matthew was so distraught about the fire, he didn't even want to eat pizza. Bo encouraged his son to open up. Bo and Matthew agreed that they were lucky he hadn't died. Matthew was upset at having lost all his stuff. Bo assured him, "I'm going to fix this for you." Matthew then cried in his dad's arms. The fire chief showed up with a box with what was left from the Hanen house. "That's all you found?" Matthew said. Matthew and Bo opened the box together and Matthew cried over the remains of their photo albums.

Talia beat up on herself for not having shot the arsonist when she had the chance. Antonio encouraged her to move on. Talia wanted to tell Bo about her failure. Antonio didn't think that was necessary.

Nash ignored Layla's suggestion to forget about Jessica. Nash welcomed Tate to Capricorn. Evangeline showed up, wracked with guilt about having kissed Todd. She told Layla about her indiscretion. "I was trying to be there for him," Vangie tried to explain. She said she was going to tell Cristian. Layla didn't think that was a great idea. Cris showed up and the sisters stopped talking.

Todd was staring at his son's death certificate when Marcie asked if she and Tommy could join him. He said no, and then went on to tell her about the loss of his son. Marcie understood and left.

Michael refused to tell John who killed Truman. "What is it about this murder that you are not telling me?" John barked. Michael wouldn't give John a straight answer, which forced John to ask him straight out, "Did you kill Truman?" Michael was horrified that John even asked him. Marcie returned and told Michael about her run-in with Todd and that Todd had learned his son (Todd Jr.) had died. Michael tried to be cool during this exchange.

Jessica was furious that Nash told Layla about their encounter. Jess admitted to Cris that she had almost slept with Nash. "Yes, I did," she screamed. Cris was furious. Jessica begged Cristian not to tell Antonio and promised him she'd work this out.

Clint and Viki enjoyed coffee after dinner. Viki brought up the fact that Dorian had almost kept them from having dinner to begin with. Clint asked Viki to spend the night with him, but he was interrupted by Asa and the news that Nora's house had burned to the ground. Asa was thrilled to see that Clint and Viki were on a date. Viki went home, but the two agreed they'd had a wonderful time and tenderly kissed good night.

Jessica seemed stunned to learn that Miles' brother was Mitch Laurence. She shocked Miles with the tidbit that "he was my father." Miles wasn't surprised that she had never heard of Mitch's second brother (she already knew about Walker). Miles added that he had had no contact with his family or his brothers. Jessica confirmed that Mitch had been a horrible man. Miles got very excited at the prospect of meeting his new family, but Jessica said, "anyone who has anything to do with Mitch Laurence and Spencer Truman is the last person I want to have anything to do with." Miles looked crestfallen. He apologized for being so pushy "about meeting your family." Miles wanted to prove that he's not a horrible person just because he was connected to Spencer and Mitch. Cris interrupted them, demanding to talk to Jessica. He told Jessica what he had overheard Nash tell Layla and Jessica couldn't deny it.

John went over the evidence at the crime scene. Natalie interrupted him and told him she was going to admit to Bo that she had taken the evidence. "I'm the one who screwed up," she said. John said he'd accompany her to see Bo. The two began wondering how the fibers from John's scarf could have been near the crime scene, and then he remembered that Michael had briefly worn John's scarf. Uh-oh. John headed over to Michael and Marcie's. Natalie stayed in John's office and muttered, "I really screwed up this time."

Cris overheard Nash tell Layla that he and Jessica almost had sex. Layla asked Cris how long he'd been standing there. Cris covered which left Layla worried that perhaps he had heard something. Cris left to confront Jessica while Layla told Nash he better keep his mouth shut from now on about his feelings for Jessica.

A tormented Rex admitted to Adriana that it might be time for him to tell everyone the truth. Adriana thought it was a little late and reminded him that a lot of people would get in trouble, including Rex and Michael. "We have to stick with the plan," she said and the two vowed once again to keep their secret.

Marcie demanded that Michael tell her where he was the night Spencer was murdered. Michael admitted he wasn't in their apartment building; he was at the hospital when Spencer was murdered. Michael said he was with John at the hospital. Marcie wondered why Michael was so sure that John hadn't murdered Spencer. Michael explained that he thought it was better Marcie didn't know that he had been so close to the killer. He said he had kept it from her because he didn't want her to suspect John. Just then, John showed up, wanting to talk to Michael. John asked Michael to tell him what he knows, clearly suspecting that Michael killed Spencer.

Evangeline found a devastated Todd in his elevator. Todd told Evangeline about his son, "my other son," and explained that he just found out that the child was dead. Todd muttered, "I've lost too much." Evangeline tried to get Todd to move, but he wouldn't. Evangeline said she'd stay with him and Todd broke down, telling her what he had learned. Evangeline offered to get Blair, but Todd didn't want her to. He just wanted to be with her. "You're the only one who gets me," he told her. Todd then kissed her. As they were kissing, Cris rang for the same elevator. Evangeline pulled away. "What just happened here?" she said, looking so, so guilty. Evangeline got up. "That shouldn't have happened," she said. Vangie remembered she had to meet Cris at Capricorn, so she left. Todd stayed in the elevator and pounded on the wall.
