Téa told Starr that she and her brothers were now legally under their father's care. Starr said she'd couldn't leave. (Cole was detoxing upstairs.) "I'm not a kid," she insisted. Todd didn't want to split up the siblings. Starr said she'd join them tomorrow. Todd reminded her that he was her father. Téa offered to help her pack. Meanwhile Cole had the chills and was shaking. He kept reminding himself that he was okay. Starr broke the news to Cole that she had to leave. Cole panicked. "Starr, I can't do this alone," Cole moaned. Starr didn't know what to do. Cole was in great pain. Todd knocked at her door and wondered why the door was locked. Todd demanded to know what was going on. Starr said she was changing and she'd be right there. Starr tried to come up with plan B. Meanwhile, Todd threatened to break down the door. Starr tried to help Cole out the window. Téa talked to Todd and the two engaged in a sexual flirtation. Téa asked Todd to think about what was best for Starr. Todd immediately apologized to Starr. Starr frantically packed a bag and left her room, leaving Cole shivering. Starr texted Cole and promised him she'd be back.

Dorian made it clear to Todd that she was furious with him. Todd made a crack about Téa being a bad lawyer. Ray made a suggestion and Todd told him to mind his own business.

Bo and Nora staked out Matthew's school to make sure he would be okay on his first day back. Bo and Nora wanted to keep on watching. They both applauded the other on what great parents they were. Nora admitted she didn't want to smother Matthew. Bo said she was glad they still have Matthew to worry about, alluding to the fact that he already had lost one son. "We are so lucky," Nora said. Bo commented that Rachel has a great way with Matthew. Nora confessed that she was at odds with Rachel because Rachel is Cole's counselor. "My daughter is helping the kid who paralyzed our son," she said. "He is so forgiving and I am not,"Nora added. Bo made it clear that he still blamed Cole for Matthew's accident. Nora started to open up about the whole situation and got teary. Bo lifted her chin and their faces drew closer.

Marcie welcomed Matthew back. Students watched as he rolled his wheelchair down the halls. Matthew had a hard time maneuvering his chair near a desk. Matthew told Destiny that things were cool with Becca and Justin. Destiny thought they were playing him. She added that she had told them they could be accessories to Matthew's accident. Matthew insisted they were his friends. Destiny disagreed. Destiny moved her seat in the classroom. Justin told Becca that there was no way Matthew's parents could sue them. "So we don't have to pretend we like him," Becca said. Justin made a mean remark about Matthew and the class giggled. Justin continued making fun of Matthew. Marcie gave Justin an assignment as punishment. "I'll get you, Buchanan," Justin whispered. Matthew asked Becca if she had pretended to be her friend.

John reminded Marty that they are pretending to be Kevin and Jessica. The receptionist told them that they were the first people to visit Powell since he was admitted. She wondered what would happen when they would see him. "Prepare yourself. He's restrained," she told them. Only one would be able to go at a time. Marty insisted she go first much to John's dismay. Once the receptionist left John sat at her desk and was horrified to see his face on the front page of the newspaper on her computer. John did a search for Powell Lord, and then searched for rapists. An orderly walked into the office. "What do you think you're doing," he asked. John said he was checking his email and then started to read a magazine. He immediately returned to the desk when the orderly left. He began snooping through the files and found Powell's file. John took some information and put the file back.

Marty wanted to go into see Powell alone. Marty took a deep breath and walked into the padded room. She saw Powell in a straight jacket. "Hello Powell," she said. Powell turned and looked at her. "Do I know you?" he asked. Marty flashed back to 1993. Powell knew that it was a lie that she was his cousin. Powell wanted to tell the girl he had hurt a long time ago that he was sorry. Powell said he was never allowed outside. "Are you sure I don't know you?" Powell asked.
