Upset about having to do so, Sam arrived at the Crane mansion and cuffed Gwen. Rebecca tried to convince the police chief not to arrest her girl and delivered this chuckle-worthy line: "Cuff me, I'll make it worth your while." Rebecca then jumped on Sam and told her daughter to run. "Get your tongue out of my ear," Bennett demanded. (Now that was funny!) Sam told Becca to have Ethan meet them at the police station. Sam and Gwen arrived at the cop house....

At the adoption agency, Fox was told his rights to Whitney's baby have been forfeited since the 72-hour grace period expired. Fox threw his Crane name around in hopes of getting his way. T.C. assumed he wasn't able to adopt Whitney's baby due to a racial issue. Then the lady at the adoption agency announced someone else already adopted the boy....

Sheridan cried to Luis, still certain Marty is her son, despite the DNA results claiming otherwise. In private, Edna tried to get Beth to admit she was behind changing the test results. Sheridan flashbacked to holding her son after she gave birth, and then to holding Marty recently. Sheridan accused Dottie of lying about Beth being Marty's mother. Beth was hopeful that this whole dilemma will push Sheridan over the psychotic edge. She then snapped when Edna mentioned some man Beth once loved (not Luis!). Dottie apologized to Sheridan. Sheridan told Beth there is something she needs to tell her about Marty being her son....

At Pilar's home, Ethan tried to get confirmation from Theresa that she made a truce with Gwen. She pointed out that she never agreed to it. Ethan received a call from his mother-in-law, who told him Gwen was arrested. Ethan blew up at Theresa, who explained her reasoning for her actions. Ethan said she had the power to end the madness. "My eyes are open and I'm seeing you for what you are. You are a monster. A hateful monster," he told Theresa. He claimed he never really knew her and stormed out. Theresa grabbed Jane and followed him, but Ethan didn't want to hear anything she had to say....

Rebecca arrived at the police station and offered for Sam to frisk her. She vowed to fight Gwen's charges and get the ultimate revenge on Theresa.

Once Fox was off to the adoption agency, Whitney freaked out to Eve and Julian that he may actually get custody of her baby. She went after him, and Eve and Jules followed. Fox rushed into the Chapman-Pence Adoption Agency, explained his situation and demanded his son back. Whitney, Eve and Julian arrived. Whitney told Fox not to stop the adoption process. Fox continued to believe Whitney is "mentally unbalanced." T.C. walked in, vowing not to allow Fox raise to his grandson, basically because he's a Crane. T.C. then announced that he and Liz will adopt the boy. Julian and Eve said they already filled out the paperwork to adopt him. Everyone yelled and argued over who would be the better parents. Fox told everyone to leave because it his legal right to get his son back. The woman at the agency told Fox he's too late....

At the Crane mansion, Gwen thanked Ethan for saving her from the compound and choosing her over Theresa. Rebecca barged in and claimed Theresa will continue her revenge. Ethan told her the war between the two women he has roped along all these years is over and demanded Becca stop stirring the pot. Ethan left to get confirmation from Theresa that she will not continue seeking revenge. Rebecca tried to convince her daughter to continue battling her enemy....

Sam arrived at the Lopez-Fitzgerald home to speak with Theresa. He admired Jane. Theresa told the Police Chief that she wants Gwen arrested, and pleaded her case. Sam tried to convince her to stop the hatred toward Gwen, who happens to be his daughter-in-law. The best line out of Sam's mouth? "I know it was no picnic being paralyzed... but you're walking now." Is that how he felt about lover Ivy's paralysis, too? Hmm. When Sam claimed Theresa has changed since her sweet childhood days, Theresa pointed out he changed, too. She, though politely, threw his ruined marriage with Grace in his face. Sam told a teary Theresa not to give up on love. Sam left and Ethan arrived. Jane was smiley (and cute!) in Ethan's arms, then started to cry. He asked Theresa if the madness between her and Gwen is over....

At the hospital, the announcement of Marty's DNA results continued to be dragged out. Though Sheridan begged Dottie to just read the results, the woman continued to explain the test in extensive detail instead of getting to the point. A nurse arrived with Marty, who went to "his" mom, Beth. Sheridan, who had to have lost her patience, blurted out, "I am Marty's mother and Beth is a fraud." Edna told Beth she would fake a heart attack so that Beth and Marty could escape. When the nurse took Marty away, Beth told him a tearful good-bye, as if it were forever. Edna noticed her daughter was genuinely hurting. Dottie FINALLY announced that the biological mother is Beth! Beth, prepared to go to jail, was shocked. In so many words, Luis said "I told you so" to Sheridan, just before she broke down. Luis told Sheridan that she needs to accept the truth, while the Wallace women happily pondered how the test results came out in their favor. "I've got Marty and soon I'm going to have Luis. Just wait and see," Beth whispered....

Sam arrived at the mansion to re-arrest Gwen....

After catching Katherine and Martin in an embrace, Pilar slapped Kat. After yelling at the couple, Pilar headed to church to pray. Alistair found his wife with Martin. Katherine had to hold Martin back from attacking Alistair. Crane asked Kat how she escaped from the compound. Martin threatened Alistair, who said he'd have his way, then walked off....

Father Lonigan arrived at church and tried to comfort Pilar, who updated him on her reunion with her husband. They prayed together, then lit a candle that mysteriously blew out right after they walked out. Pilar strolled around outside, crying and talking to herself about her romantic night with Martin. She vowed not to allow Katherine to break up her family again. After hearing footsteps, Pilar asked who was there. When there was no reply, she walked away. Alistair grabbed her....

At the hospital, while Dottie explained the DNA test procedure, Beth and Edna bolted. The alarm sent Luis, Sheridan and hospital security to the restroom, where the Wallaces were trying to escape. Beth claimed her mother was just having a "spell." Edna covered by pretending the alarm meant they were at war. She then flirted with the guards — and Luis. The foursome headed back to the lobby to see Dottie. Edna continued to pretend she was trapped in the past. Sheridan became frustrated with Mrs. Wallace and snapped. Beth confronted Sheridan about attacking her mother. Sheridan asked Dottie to reveal the results....

Fox was irate with Whitney for putting "their" baby up for adoption. Whit tried to defend her decision. "I had to do it. I just had to," she cried. Fox thought he knew what the problem was; he jumped to the conclusion that Whitney is just suffering from depression. Whitney make it clear that she does not want her son back. She told Fox that he is never going to see the baby. Fox left to stop the adoption. Whitney yelled, "Stop! Come back! You can't have him!"

While dancing at the Seascape, Pilar and Martin told each other they are going to try to work things out. When Martin paused, Pilar asked her husband if he was thinking about Katherine. When he began explaining, Pilar ran back to their table. Martin followed her and apologized. Pilar asked if he will be able to put his past with Kat behind him in order to concentrate on their relationship. As a romantic gesture on Martin's part, a photographer gave Pilar a photo album filled with pictures of the evening....

As the plane landed in Harmony, Gwen and Katherine confided in one another again. Gwen asked Kat if she's going to do the right thing. Gwen got a call from her mother. Also on the plane, Theresa and Ethan couldn't spit out to Fox that Whitney gave up "his" son. Fox disembarked the plane before anyone noticed. An emotional Gwen said bye to Jane as she and Ethan got off the jet....

At the Bennett house, Eve reminded Whitney that Fox could stop the adoption if he makes it home in time. The mother and daughter continued to argue about the whole situation. "If you kept your zipper zipped all those years ago, I wouldn't be in this mess," Whitney chided Julian. Fox arrived with roses for Whitney and asked to see the baby. After Whitney just stood there, a frazzled Fox apologized for not being there for the birth, then continued to babble until Eve and Julian stopped him and told Whitney it was time to tell Fox the truth. Whitney uttered, "He's gone. I gave him up for adoption." A shocked Fox yelled at Whitney. "You can't give my baby away," he said, then quickly realized Whitney had his power of attorney and planned this all along. As reality sunk in, Fox called her a "manipulative bitch." Julian informed Fox of the 72-hour grace period, allowing him to stop the adoption. As Fox insisted on getting his baby back, Whitney blurted out, "But it's not your baby, Fox!"....

At the Wallace home, Sheridan received a call from Dottie, who told her she will be arriving late. Steps away, Edna and Beth whispered about getting busted for kidnapping Marty. They all left for the hospital. There, Sheridan caught Beth trying to leave. Of course, Beth covered. Sheridan and Beth argued about which one of them is Marty's mother. When Sheridan got the call that the results were in, Beth rushed off. Then she came right back. Dottie arrived with the paperwork. A nervous Beth bit her lip... At the Crane mansion, Gwen reunited with Rebecca, who vowed that Theresa will pay for getting Jane. Ethan told her the war between Gwen and Theresa is over....

At the Lopez-Fitzgerald home, Theresa and Jane reunited with Pilar, who told her daughter all about her romantic night with Martin. Theresa broke the news to her mom that Katherine has returned to town, and that Ethan chose Gwen. Pilar left in search of Martin. Theresa called Chief Bennett and told him to re-arrest her enemy....

Katherine and Martin ran into each other in the park. Pilar walked up as the two were hugging.

On the plane, Gwen assured Katherine she is doing the right thing by heading back to Harmony. Gwen recounted her deal to let Theresa have Jane, while Gwen and Ethan stay together. Gwen asked Kat if she is excited to see Martin....

At the Lopez-Fitzgerald home, Martin and Pilar shared childhood pictures of their children. The couple discussed being a family again. Martin took Pilar to the Seascape Restaurant, where they shared a dance. Pilar privately prayed that Katherine doesn't return to Harmony....

At the compound, Fox tried to talk sense into Theresa, who still plans on seeking revenge on Gwen and getting Ethan back. Ethan walked in and rushed them out to the plane before Alistair becomes privy to their escape plan. While holding Jane, Fox asked Theresa about "his son." Once Fox left the room, Ethan asked Theresa how they're going to tell him that Whitney gave the boy up for adoption. On the plane, Theresa and Ethan continued discussing how they are going to break the news to Fox. Gwen and Katherine walked in and Theresa questioned Kat about her motive to return to Harmony. Fox was anxious to meet his baby. After lift-off, Gwen privately spoke with Ethan and asked him if he changed his mind about being with her. Theresa asked Katherine if she's going to destroy her mother again. Kat explained the reason she left Harmony was to give Martin and Pilar a second chance, and that she left the compound in order to get away from Alistair. Katherine revealed to Theresa that she has prayed for death because of the amount of guilt she has carried with her for hurting everyone. Ethan and Theresa told Katherine that Whitney gave her baby up for adoption. Fox walked in after changing Jane's diaper, once again expressing his excitement about being a father. While looking at a photo of Martin, Katherine wondered what she will do without him. As the plane prepared for landing, Theresa and Ethan told Fox there is something they need to tell him....

At the hospital, Julian and Eve admired their grandson and discussed adopting him. T.C. and Liz arrived and continued to blame Eve for Whitney's decision to give up her baby. A nurse threatened to throw them out unless they stopped arguing. T.C. and Liz privately chatted about adopting the boy. Julian tried to assure Eve that Whitney's actions are not her fault. Liz and T.C. left the hospital so they could start the adoption process....

At the Bennett house, Whitney chatted to herself while opening a letter with a picture of her baby. While crying, Whitney talked to the photo, explaining her decision. Then she ripped the picture and threw it away. Whitney wondered how she is going to live her life without knowing where her son is. Eve and Julian arrived. Eve gave Whitney her baby's blanket, and once again, tried to convince her not to give him up. Whitney raised her voice, saying she loves her baby and that's why she did what she did....

At the Book Café, Sheridan remained confident that Marty is her son. Luis was sure Beth didn't kidnap their baby and said the tests are going to prove Beth is Marty's mother. Sheridan called her friend Dottie, who is a DNA specialist, to speed up the results....

At the Wallace home, Beth arranged to skip town with her mom before the DNA results were revealed. Edna suggested they leave Marty in Harmony so he can be with Sheridan. Fake passports arrived for the Wallace women. Just as the women were walking out the door, Luis and Sheridan walked up and asked where they were going. Beth covered, then Sheridan informed her enemy that the test was being done that night. Sheridan received a phone call.
