PASSIONS Recaps Week of June 13, 2005Friday, June 17, 2005 At the Bennetts, Sam was enraged to discover that Noah has been getting by the last couple years as a card shark. Kay covered for a missing Jessica when Noah asked to see her. Sam left to join the search for Beth and Marty. Kay then admitted to Noah that Jessica is out visiting Spike. Noah insisted upon going after Spike, but Paloma returned Jessica home just in time. Jessica was ecstatic to see her big brother.
At the Wallace house, Edna calmed her nerves with gin while Luis and Sheridan regrouped in their search for Marty and Beth, who realized she was running out of gas. Luis, Sam, Sheridan and Edna rendezvoused at police headquarters, where Sam called the FBI, put out an APB and an Amber Alert. The police computers caught Beth trying to withdraw gas money out of the ATM after Beth discovered Edna had taken the cash in her purse to buy more booze. Sam, Luis, Sheridan and half of the Harmony PD raced to the ATM location, and closed in on Beth, who fled on foot with Marty. After ducking into an empty building, Beth regrouped and made a frantic call to Alistair for help. Beth discovered a matchbook that showed she was in the back of Spike's club. Alistair went to collect her and Marty, while Sheridan expressed her worry to Sam and Luis that Alistair may be helping Beth. Sam put an APB out on Alistair's limo, which was spotted heading toward Spike's club. Sam, Luis and Sheridan raced to the club on foot as Alistair welcomed Beth and Marty into the back of his limo.
Thursday, June 16, 2005 At the Bennetts, Kay welcomed home Noah while Sam gave his son a similarly chilly reception as Ivy did with Fancy. Sam was angry that Noah never came home during all of their family's crises. Noah apologized by lying and saying he was too busy with his graduate studies. Sam allowed Noah to hang himself with further lies before pulling the plug on his son's charade. An irate Sam demanded answers. Noah said he didn't think Sam or Grace would be interested in his own troubles and found it harder and harder to tell the truth as time went on. Though not pleased by it, Sam accepted his son's explanation and welcomed him back into the fold. Noah was eager to see Jessica, unaware of her present troubles. Across town, Jessica sought some attention from Spike at his club. At the Lopez-Fitzgerald home, Theresa did research on the Internet looking for proof to connect Rebecca and Gwen to Ethan's paternity tabloid scandal. When Pilar set a curfew for Paloma, Paloma ripped into Theresa for her irresponsible choices in life. Later Pilar ran into Jessica at Spike's club, and confronted her about her irresponsible behavior. At the Crane Crypt, Katherine explained to Martin why she has no other choice but to accede to Alistair's demands and return to him as his wife. Alistair then had a demand for Martin: Renew his wedding vows to Pilar and steer clear of Katherine — or else! At the Wallace house, the ER put Luis on hold on the telephone as he tried to verify if Beth really took Marty there. Luis and Sheridan were about to leave to go to the hospital when Sheridan heard a noise coming from the closet and discovered Mrs. Wallace bound and gagged inside. As Mrs. Wallace kept Sheridan and Luis distracted, Beth and Marty ran down the street and Beth stole a neighbor's car. Sheridan relentlessly grilled Mrs. Wallace for answers while Beth and Marty sped out of town. When Luis finally threatened to arrest her, Mrs. Wallace became more cooperative but still insisted she had no idea where Beth had taken Marty.
Wednesay, June 15, 2005 At the Wallace home, Sheridan waited outside while Luis knocked on the front door for Beth. Beth froze inside, paralyzed by panic. Sheridan grew impatient and entered the house through the back door. Luis also grew impatient and broke down the front door. Once both were inside, Sheridan and Luis began frantically searching the house room by room. Beth took refuge with Marty and Mrs. Wallace inside the closet. Sheridan discovered the phony note Beth left on the desk saying she had taken Marty to the ER. Sheridan and Luis were about to dash to the ER when Sheridan's motherly intuition kicked in and told her something was wrong. She instructed Luis to first call the ER on his cell phone to confirm that Beth and Marty are really there. Ethan demanded to know the contents of the floppy disc he observed Rebecca and Gwen arguing about. When Gwen and Rebecca tried to stonewall, Ethan grabbed the disc and took it to the computer to find out what was on it. He was surprised to discover photos from his wedding to Gwen on the disc. After Ethan excused himself, Gwen insisted that Rebecca hand over the real disc. Gwen proceeded to shred what she thought was the real disc, unaware that Rebecca had the real deal safely tucked in her bosom. At the Bennett household, Sam pored over Noah's academic records and discovered that Noah's college transcripts and records were forged by Noah, who had apparently dropped out of college and never told anyone. Sam lamented to Kay that it was his fault all of his children ended up on paths of self-destruction, and declared himself a failure as a father. Kay and Sam speculated about what Noah has actually been doing with his life during the past couple of years. On an airplane to Harmony, Noah woke up from an erotic dream about Fancy, but complained about her to the passenger beside him. Up in First Class, Fancy woke up from a similar dream about Noah. Her noisy dream upset the passenger beside her, who asked to be moved. Later on in the flight Noah charmed the fight attendant into getting an upgrade to first class, where he thought he spotted Fancy a few rows up from him. Once in Harmony, Noah and Fancy both returned home: Him to the Bennetts and her to the Cranes.
Tuesday, June 14, 2005 On the docks, a tearful Theresa lamented that she's lost everything. Tabitha crashlanded her broomstick into a pile of garbage cans nearby, and approached Theresa. Tabitha stirred the pot by encouraging Theresa to continue her fight for Ethan. Tabby shared her "belief" that Gwen and Rebecca were behind Ethan's paternity tabloid scandal, and guided her onto the right path to find the proof. Tabitha also gave Theresa a colorful history lesson on Gwen and Rebecca's ancestors. Alistair unloaded his rage onto Katherine, and blamed her for the Crane family's troubles — especially Sheridan's emotional fragility. Katherine begged Alistair not to reveal the secret behind Rachel's death. Alistair refused and insisted that Rachel's death must now finally be avenged. Katherine offered to do whatever it took to keep the secret and protect Sheridan. Alistair said he would be willing to keep the secret and protect Sheridan in exchange for Katherine fulfilling a "simple" request: He wanted something that was "stolen" from him — Katherine! Alistair insisted that she return with him and live out the rest of her life as his doting wife, or else Sheridan will face the truth — and the law — about her murder of her aunt Rachel. A mischievous Tabitha taunted Beth about Luis and Sheridan and the new DNA test results. Luis and Sheridan continued their frantic foot race to Beth's house. Along the way Luis apologized for not believing in Sheridan, who forgave him. Beth frantically packed her bags and prepared to make a fast exit with Marty. When Luis knocked on her front door, Beth panicked and froze.
Monday, June 13, 2005 Katherine insisted to Alistair that Sheridan couldn't have killed her sister Rachel, and Martin offered a different version of events: That Alistair had Rachel kidnapped and held prisoner for years after she dumped him, and staged her death in a fake boating accident. Martin claimed that Alistair threatened to kill his entire family if he ever told Katherine the truth. Katherine slapped Alistair and vowed to kill him for what he did to her sister. But Alistair insisted that Sheridan did kill Rachel because she mistook her aunt for a crazy woman assaulting her father, and then mistakenly believed that she had killed her mother because of the resemblance between Rachel and Katherine. Mrs. Wallace prayed to the angels to help her "right the wrongs of her demon-seed daughter" Beth and keep her unconscious until Sheridan and Luis could arrive. The angels appeared and swirled around Tabitha, preventing her from coming to Beth's aid. But in response, Tabitha summoned Endora's help to clear her path from the angels. Thanks to Endora, Tabitha was set free from the angels and Beth came to, knocked her mother unconscious, bound and gagged her and stuffed her in the closet. As Sheridan and Luis raced to Beth's house, one of Tabitha and Endora's spells forced them off the road. When Sheridan and Luis regained consciousness they extricated themselves from their totaled automobile and raced on foot to Beth's house, but they were beaten there by Tabitha, who dropped the bomb on Beth that a new DNA test was run that proves Sheridan is Marty's mother — and that Luis and Sheridan had reunited and were making their way to Beth's house.
