Kay expressed her guilt over the trouble Jessica is in. Sam said it wasn't her fault, that her problems dated back to Grace choosing David over him. Kay and Ethan tried to stop Sam from going after Jessica until she calmed down. Sam fretted over the many things that could go wrong in Jess's life with Spike in it. Sam then got a phone call informing him that he was being replaced at work. Noah suspected that Alistair was to blame.

Spike stirred the pot with Jessica, reminding her she's an adult and free to do what she wants regardless of what her family thinks. Spike urged her to leave home so they could be together. Jess agreed; Spike gloated over how easy it had been to manipulate her.

Things got tense at the Crane mansion as Alistair taunted Martin over Katherine's decision to stay with him. Upstairs, Ivy tried to impress upon Fancy that her behavior has an impact on herself and others. Fancy was resistant when Ivy offered to help her become a less selfish person. Fancy scoffed at Ivy's claim that becoming closer with Fox had helped Fox rehabilitate. Alistair then entered and Fancy told him about Noah — and about Noah's arson activities at Spike's club. Fancy grumbled about how Noah thinks the Bennetts are better than the Cranes. Downstairs, Katherine insisted on a moment to say a proper good-bye to Martin. They exchanged a tender kiss and lamented how hard it would be to be apart.

Pilar was worried that Theresa had a new scheme. She denied it, but flashed back to her confab with Alistair. Theresa and Pilar then exited Jane's room to avoid detection by Gwen and Tawny. Meanwhile, Gwen gloated to Rebecca that they're in the clear since there's no longer any evidence that they planted the tabloid story about Ethan's paternity. Over at the Bennetts, Ethan filled in Noah about how he and Gwen had gotten custody of Jane. Ethan was worried about what Theresa might do to get her back. At the mansion, Alistair caught Theresa before she made it out undetected. "I can give you what you want if you give me what I want," he told the desperate mom.

Beth held a knife to Sheridan's throat and Sheridan begged Luis to shoot her, but Luis couldn't get a clear shot. Beth swore she was an innocent victim of Alistair's. Sheridan broke free, but Beth tore away and got in the boat with Marty. Sheridan, who was furious with Luis for not having shot Beth when he had the chance, followed Luis, who was following Beth. Beth prayed she'd manage to clear the police boat also tailing her and make it to the other side of the shore. She did indeed and Beth exulted that she was now in the clear. Sheridan and Luis continued to follow her, both vowing to get their son back or to die trying. Then an explosion occurred after Sheridan's boat collided into a stack of logs. Luis cried out in horror.

After taking a shower, Fancy walked into her room, only to be surprised by her mother. Ivy continued asking Fancy whose life she was about to ruin. While playing with clothes and earrings, Fancy acted disgusted in her mommy's assumption and annoyed that Ivy thinks the worst of her. Fancy pointed out that her mother knows nothing about her life since nannies raised her. She yelled at Ivy for treating her kids — with the exception of Ethan — like crap. Ivy told Fancy she would like to make up for that now.

At the Bennett house, Sam came home demanding answers from Noah about the fire. A relaxed Noah pointed out that Ethan was also involved in a crime in order to get rid of Spike. Sam cuffed Noah, arresting him for arson. Kay interrupted, announcing her concern for her sister. Ethan and Kay convinced their father to uncuff Noah. The kids caught up Sam on Jessica's recent rant. Upstairs, Spike threatened Jessica with a knife. Spike told her he would never hurt her, he just wanted to keep her quiet and brought the knife in case he had to protect himself from her father and brothers. She asked her dirty beau if she needs to be protected from him. He convinced her he wants the best for her. Jessica was putty in his hands. Spike said to her she has to leave her "family and home — forever."

At the lake cabin, Beth told Sheridan and Luis (who were outside) that she will kill herself and Marty if they don't leave her alone. Sheridan stayed at the door while Luis headed to another entrance. Through a window, Luis aimed his gun at Beth and yelled, "Freeze!" He broke through the window, while Beth took the opportunity to grab a knife. She put her hands (with the knife) behind her head. Luis unlocked the front door, and Sheridan entered. Beth told Sheridan that Luis could never bring himself to shoot her. Beth still insisted that Marty is her son. Sheridan slapped her enemy. Beth grabbed Sheridan and held the knife to her throat. Sheridan told Luis to shoot Beth. Beth said he needed to drop his gun, or she'd kill Sheridan.

Gwen called security regarding a trespasser in Jane's nursery. Theresa and Pilar, who were hiding in the closet, panicked when Rebecca approached the door. Gwen heard one of Jane's toys and assumed that nobody was really there. While eavesdropping on the women, Theresa recalled Ethan asking her not to press charges against Gwen. Just after saying if she saw Theresa she'd kill her, Gwen opened the closet door and gasped — but it wasn't because she spotted Theresa and Pilar; it was because the closet was a mess! Theresa realized Alistair is the key to bringing down Gwen and Becca. Gwen admired a sleeping Jane, then announced she was off to take a bath. She and her mother exited the room, which gave Theresa and Pilar a chance to get out of the closet. Theresa had a flashback to her talk with Al.

Martin attacked Alistair while he threatened to tell Sheridan that she killed Rachel, for the umpteenth time! Kat asked her husband why he wants his own daughter to be miserable. She then asked Alistair who his next target is. He recalled his chat with Theresa and offering to help her.

Fancy pleaded for the person who was following her to make his or her presence known. She was relieved to see it was just a dog. Then she heard another noise and suspected someone really was following her. A cat walked up and Fancy fed it fish. She was going to find the dog's owner, but the pooch ran away. Fancy continued walking home, unaware that a man in a suit was behind her.

Spike stabbed Jessica's photograph with a knife and told his friend that he is going to hurt her in order to get back at the Bennett men for destroying his clubs. Outside of the Bennett house, Ethan and Noah talked about taking down Spike if he continues to corrupt their little sister. Inside, Jessica and Kay argued about Spike. When Noah and Ethan walked in, Jessica slapped Noah. She explained it was because he ruined her relationship with Spike. Jess yelled at her siblings, then stormed off to her room. Meanwhile, Spike crawled through her bedroom window and hid in her closet. Kay commented on Noah smelling like the cannery. Spike sneaked up on Jess and held a knife to her face.

Gwen and Rebecca talked about taking down Theresa. Theresa and Pilar sneaked into Jane's nursery to get a peek at the baby. Pilar heard Gwen and Rebecca approaching the room. Instead of quickly hiding, Pilar explained to Theresa that the women will throw her in jail if she is caught there. Theresa and Pilar panicked when the doorknob turned. The Lopez-Fitzgerald woman hid in the closet while Gwen and Becca talked about "the one thing that Theresa can use against them." Gwen and Rebecca jumped when they heard a noise coming from the closet.

Katherine, Martin and Ivy agreed to hide the fact that Sheridan and Luis are headed to the Crane lake cabin to find Beth. Alistair interrupted and asked the gang what evil plot they were chatting about. Ivy privately asked Martin and Kat how they knew about the lake cabin; Katherine didn't reveal that is where her husband hid Rachel. Once Ivy walked away, Kat and Mart glared at Alistair while discussing his love for the late Rachel. Al taunted Martin about renewing his vows with Pilar. Still covered in fish goo, Fancy entered the Crane living room to a welcoming Alistair (though he didn't want to hug his smelly granddaughter). Fancy and Alistair went into another room. Katherine mentioned in front of Ivy that she hasn't seen that much love in Alistair's eyes since Rachel was alive. (Well, considering Katherine has been in Mexico for several years, she hasn't seen much of Alistair at all!) Alistair and Fancy's chat was interrupted by a guy who told Al something needed his immediate attention. Fancy chugged a cocktail. Ivy walked up and questioned her daughter about being involved in the club fire. Fancy happily walked away after Ivy got her hands on the fish slime she was covered in. Ivy asked her daughter whose life she was about to ruin.

While speeding to the cabin in a cop car, Luis turned the siren off so that Beth wouldn't hear them approaching. Sheridan and Luis heard a song on the radio that reminded them of the tango dances they've shared. Luis asked Sheridan to think about their future with Marty, but she couldn't get her mind off of the danger her son could be in. Sheridan yelled at Luis and told him to turn off the car's red and blue lights. Luis went on and on about the things they'll do with Marty once they have him back. Sheridan snapped, and told Luis they won't have a future if they don't get their son.

At the cabin, a boozing Beth celebrated getting away from Harmony. Beth received a call from Alistair, who warned her that Luis and Sheridan were on their way. Beth spotted Sheridan and Luis outside of the cabin. On the phone, Alistair told Beth there was no way to escape. Luis shot out the tires of Beth's car. Al told Beth he couldn't help her out of the situation. Luis yelled into the cabin for Beth to come out with Marty. Beth yelled back that they will never get Marty and threatened to kill herself and the boy.

Noah called Fancy names after she slapped him. The two bickered. Noah told Fancy he never wants to see her again. She acted thrilled to be rid of him. Then he kissed her, and she wanted more. However, she acted mad and slapped him again, then stormed off. She talked to herself while wobbling through in the park with one shoe. She reached for her cell phone, but pulled out a fish from her handbag. Getting the sense that someone was following her, Fancy rushed off.

Spike told his friend that he's going use Jessica to seek revenge on Sam and Noah. He then called a sleeping Jess, and told her to get Noah off his back. Spike told her that he doesn't want to see her again and that her brother set his club on fire. Jess begged for another chance, claiming she'll make her brother back off. Once they ended their call, Spike pulled out a knife. Jessica suddenly appeared downstairs (apparently after changing out of her pajamas and doing her hair and makeup) to yell at Kay. She told her big sis that she and Spike love each other. The girls argued.

Gwen and Rebecca admired a sleeping Jane. They discussed getting rid of Theresa, then exited the nursery. Gwen feared Ethan will find out what they are up to.

Alistair watched the goings-on of Beth and Sheridan. Kat and Martin barged in and told Al they will not let him keep Marty from Sheridan. Alistair threatened to tell Sheridan that she killed her Aunt Rachel, then left the room. Beth drove Marty to the Crane cabin.

Theresa assured Pilar she will not go to bed with Alistair in order to get what she wants. Pilar warned her daughter against getting involved with Al at all. Theresa told her mother she has a plan that doesn't involve Al; she will find the proof that Rebecca and Gwen sent the e-mail to the tabloid that revealed Ethan's true paternity. Pilar told Theresa she can't enter the mansion so soon after Ethan kicked her out, but she went in anyway. Alistair spied Pilar and Theresa sneaking through the hallways of the mansion.

Sheridan and Luis argued in front of Ethan and Ivy. Sheridan warned Luis he better keep his promise to find Marty. Sam told an angry Luis they have roadblocks around town. Ivy and Sam took a moment to catch up on each other's lives. Sam informed her that Noah is home; Ivy told him that Fancy is also back. Ivy had a heart-to-heart with Sheridan. Ivy apologized for not believing Marty is Sheridan's son. Sam received a phone call, but Luis and gang were disappointed that it wasn't about Beth's whereabouts. Sam told Ethan he was just told Spike's club burned down and that Noah and a girl were seen outside. Sam and Ethan headed to the scene of the crime. Sheridan blew up when she found out Sam left on police business other than finding her son. Meanwhile, Martin told Kat he figured out where Alistair is hiding Beth and Marty; the same place he sent Rachel years ago. The two rushed to tell Sheridan and Luis that Beth may be at the Crane lake cabin. Sheridan convinced Luis not to call the authorities and just go there themselves. The two raced to the cabin in a cop car.

Ethan ran into Noah, and the two shook hands in recognition of discovering they are half brothers since they last saw each other. Ethan thanked Noah for looking after Jessica, if he did in fact, start the fire. Noah was impressed with Ethan being cool with it, but still didn't fess up.

On a little boat, Noah raced to save Fancy from a vat of fish. He called the cannery to tell them to turn the machines off so that Fancy wouldn't get chopped up. Meanwhile, a fish-covered Fancy screamed for help. She fell through a tunnel into a pool of tuna. Noah pulled her out and gave her CPR, then kissed her. She got up and they bickered. Fancy slapped her hero.

Julian and Eve walked into a whole-in-the-wall bar to "take a break" after their rough day of dealing with a sick Miles and difficult Whitney. They hoped Whit will soon change her mind and be a part of Miles's life. Eve and Julian danced and discussed whether or not they would want to go back in time to change their mistakes. That way, Whitney wouldn't have fallen for her half brother.

At Chad's place, Whitney handed Miles back over to his father, and the two shared a sweet moment. When Whitney tried to leave, Miles started crying again. She refused to nurse him again, and called her mother. Eve and Julian arrived to help. Eve believed Miles has colic, then tried to stop Whitney from leaving, but her daughter bolted.

At the Crane mansion, Luis tried to assure Sheridan they are meant to be together. Sheridan slapped him. "You are such a liar," she said. She debated that he doesn't love her, and that he sided with Beth instead of her. "On some level, you still love Beth," she noted. Alistair walked in and Luis wrapped his hands around the Crane's neck. Ethan and Sam pulled Luis off of Big Al. Alistair threatened to charge Luis for attempted murder. Katherine and Alistair exchanged words, and Martin stepped in. When Rebecca tried to speak up, Alistair told her to stick to subjects she knows, "like baring your ample cleavage." A glaring Sheridan yelled at her father for helping Beth kidnap Marty. "When is it a crime to help a daughter when she's in trouble," asked Al. Alistair claimed he doesn't know where Beth is. Sheridan compared her father to the devil. Kat and Martin followed Alistair out of the room. They discussed their "bargain" to not tell Sheridan she killed Rachel; Sheridan and Luis interrupted. Luis told Alistair that he will rot in jail for what he has done. He also told Sheridan he will find Marty if it's the last thing he does. Sheridan physically attacked her dad. Al said he wished he knew Beth was his daughter years ago, so he could have trained her to be like him. Alistair pointed out that he lost a child, too (meaning Beth). Sheridan panicked about Marty's safety. Sheridan fantasized about reading Marty a book and being a family with Luis. Luis kept promising a frustrated Sheridan that he will get their son back. She said if he doesn't find Marty, not to bother returning to her.

Outside of the Crane mansion, Pilar argued with Theresa about bringing Gwen and Rebecca down. Once Pilar went back inside, an eavesdropping Alistair appeared from the bushes. He exchanged words with Theresa, then kissed her. Theresa slapped him. Alistair lavished compliments on Theresa, including saying he would have chosen her if he were Ethan. He then pointed out that Theresa isn't that different from himself. He offered Theresa an alliance in order to help her get Jane back. He kissed her again. Theresa pushed him off and told him she will not team up with him. Pilar walked out and yelled at Alistair for being with her daughter. She told him to stay away from her family. "Life would be so boring if I didn't have the Lopez-Fitzgeralds to play with," he laughed. Theresa told Pilar she did not agree to his offer.
