PASSIONS Recaps Week of July 18, 2005
Friday, July 22, 2005
Jessica wearing her best Pretty Woman hooker ensemble (a two-piece mesh mini-dress thing, connected in the center) strolled along with Spike in a seedy, back alley. Spike gave Jess something to "put her in the mood," so she could "turn tricks."
Noah and Sam sat in a car and watched Jessica try to prostitute herself. As they waited, the guys talked and Noah confided in Sam that he wants a nice, quiet life, and that living in the spotlight like Fancy isn't for him. Sam insisted Noah leave the scene. "Who knows, you may meet that girl you want to have a nice, quiet life with." Sam had a flashback to when Jess was a little girl and hoped they'd get back the relationship they once had. Jessica also recalled her younger days with her dad. "I need you now, Daddy," she muttered to herself (Like talking to yourself is really going to get you customers, Jess). Later, Ivy joined Sam and offered to chat with Jess. Ivy told Jessica that she and Sam are worried about her, but Jess argued that Ivy only cares about getting on Sam's good side. Jess pointed out that Ivy married Julian for his money; Ivy stated that she was forced into the union. Jessica called Ivy a whore (hello pot, meet kettle) and ordered Ivy to leave. Jess began talking to herself again, mumbling that her daddy doesn't love her.
In Las Vegas, the thugs planned to go after Noah and Fancy. Spike gave them a tip about Noah's location... Ivy told Fancy (dressed in a, uh, fancy, gold sparkled ensemble) not to make the same mistakes Ivy made.. Fancy didn't listen and stormed out.
A cleaned-up and made-over Edna donned a spankled, leopard skin top and enjoyed a night out dancing to disco with half-naked hunks. Noah arrived at the club in time to see Edna doing a kickline with said hunks. Soon, Fancy arrived (wow, between Edna and Fancy's outfits, the club didn't even need a disco ball). Edna drank champagne with two hunks. When she got up for a moment; the hunks gave each other a look like, "What's that lady's deal?" Edna ended up joining Fancy (and blinded all the patrons with their stereo onslaught of shiny ensembles) and engaged in a little girl talk; she wondered why Fancy was alone. Edna went to find Fancy a man ... and ended up setting her up with Noah. "The mere sight of you disgusts me!" Noah said to Fancy, but Edna insisted that they're perfect for each other.
Ethan planned to get Sam his job back, but Gwen warned him not to mess with Alistair. Gwen thought they should leave town, but Ethan refused. "It's going to take a lot more than big, bad Alistair to get me to leave," he said, vowing to not let Alistair take over their lives. Ethan explained that even if they left, Al would find them and he also wants to stay in town so Theresa can be near Jane. Gwen asked if he was really worried about leaving Theresa. Ethan was confident that Theresa wouldn't get involved with Alistair. "She's never gonna betray herself and her family and join forces with Alistair Crane" he announced.... Martin told Alistair to leave Theresa alone and punched Al; Theresa begged her dad to stop. Al warned him not to do anything that would ruin Matin's family's future. Pilar agreed and urged Martin to leave Alistair alone. Al notes that all of the Lopez-Fitzgeralds like to blame other people for their problems, and that Martin choosing to leave his family was his own choice. Theresa prepared to head off for her date with Alistair; Pilar made a last-ditch effort to stop her, but failed. "I hope you choke on your food and die!" Pilar told Alistair. "It's just dinner," Theresa insisted. "And Alistair will have you for dessert," finished Pilar. "He will take your very soul!" Al pointed out to Martin that Theresa is a grown woman who doesn't need her daddy's permission to go out. "When you abandoned the family, you abandoned her," Al stated. "You destroy everyone around you," Martin retorted. T and A finally got to leave for their date and clinked champagne glasses in the back of his limo. As Al slipped a lecherous arm around his date, Theresa realized what he really wanted from her.

While struggling in the water, Kay bickered with Fox. While watching through the magic bowl, Tabitha wondered if she should help Kay. When a shark approached, Fox got in the water to help her out. Tab was excited by the action. Fox rescued the frantic Kay. Once they arrived back to Tabitha's house, Kay invited Fox in for tea. Tabitha quickly covered her bowl. While Fox lit a fire, Tabitha secretly told Endora that Fox is her half brother (they share Julian as a father). Fox and Kay exchanged smiles, and Tab realized she doesn't know if she likes them together.
Even after they arrived back at the Crane mansion, Ivy continued to tell Fancy to fix what Alistair has done to the Bennetts. Fancy questioned why her mother would want to help the man who kicked her out of his house. Ivy explained that she still cares about him. Ivy apologized for neglecting Fancy throughout her life. Fancy claimed she's just as self-centered as her mother. Ivy said Fancy has Julian's genes, too. She explained to her daughter that Jules has been in love with Eve for years. Ivy said all she ever wanted was Sam, not being a high-society "queen." Fancy became suspicious of Grace's first "husband" coming into town to break up her marriage. Ivy recalled Kay learning about her plot with David. Fancy asked her mother if she's keeping a deep, dark secret. Ivy claimed she's not.
On their drive home, Sam confessed to Noah that he didn't like Grace's tomato soup cake. Sam expressed his excitement that Noah was staying in Harmony. The guys chatted about Grace and Ivy. Sam told his son that he was in love with Ivy years ago, but her father made her marry Julian. He explained when Ethan was conceived, and why he gave Ivy the boot recently. Sam suggested Noah and Fancy have something going on. Noah denied it.
Gwen was mad at Ethan for claiming they stole Jane from Theresa. Gwen rehashed everything Theresa has done to them, then compared their situation to Sheridan's. After changing in to a red nightie, Gwen try to make Ethan see that they've tried to make peace with Theresa, but she continues to scheme to tear them apart. A shirtless Ethan informed Gwen that he told Theresa he wasn't going to leave his wife. She tried to convince Gwen she has nothing to worry about.
Sheridan walked into her father's office to see Luis holding a blade to Alistair's throat, threatening him to reveal where Beth and Marty are. Sheridan finally spoke up when Alistair asked Luis why he didn't shoot Beth when he had the chance. She asked the same question. Sheridan then thanked her father for turning her into a true Crane. She threatened to bring him down. An amused Alistair left for his date. Sheridan told Luis to leave for his search. Luis asked Sheridan not to go up against Alistair while he's gone because it's not safe. Sheridan told Luis that if he finds Marty, then they could talk about getting back together. Sheridan watched through a window as Luis drove away.
Martin and Pilar told Theresa, who was wearing the red dress Alistair gave her, she looked like a hooker and begged her not to go out with Crane. Theresa assured her parents she will not sleep with Al, that's they are just going to dinner. Theresa continued to cake on her make-up before her date. She once again slammed Martin's fathering skills. A teary-eyed Theresa told her parents she is determined to find out how Gwen and Rebecca sent the infamous e-mail to the tabloid. Alistair arrived to pick up Theresa. They exchanged compliments.

On the phone, Pilar told Alistair to leave Theresa alone, but he insisted that her daughter agreed to go on a date with him. Pilar asked Theresa if it is true. Pilar and Martin begged Theresa not to follow through with her plan to befriend Alistair in order to get Jane back. Theresa claimed God doesn't answer her prayers. Theresa snapped when Martin said he forbid her to go out with Alistair. Meanwhile, Alistair, who was at the Crane mansion, was listening to everything over the phone since Pilar never hung up. Theresa grabbed the phone and talked to Al. Once he hung up, Katherine yelled at her husband. When Mr. Crane suggested a threesome with her and Theresa, Kat slapped him. Alistair pointed out to Kat that Theresa has saved the best Crane man for last (after ex-Crane Ethan and Julian). Meanwhile, Martin and Pilar pleaded their case as to why Theresa should not hang out with Alistair. Theresa explained that she thinks she can get her way by befriending Crane instead of being his enemy. Theresa told her parents they can't stop her, especially Martin, whom she still hates for abandoning her family. Theresa opened a package from Alistair; it was a red dress. Alistair fantasized about his night with Theresa, and how he would make her have sex with him in order to get her daughter back. "Oh, Mr. Crane, yes," she repeated in his daydream.
At the police station, Fancy and Noah continued to place blame on each other for all the trouble they've gotten into. When things got physical, a cop interrupted, "We don't condone violence in Harmony." Over the phone, Ethan filled Gwen in on Jessica and his arrest. She told him about Sheridan and Luis, and that Marty is gone. He then updated everyone at the station, then left. Sam asked Fancy and Noah about the thugs they ran into in Vegas (of which Fancy mentioned during their squabble). Noah pulled Fancy aside and thanked him for bailing him out and not blabbing the truth about what happened in Vegas. Ivy and Fancy walked out. Sam was handed a restraining order from Jessica. Noah informed Sam he is staying in Harmony for a while to help with his little sis. While Ivy drove Fancy home, she reprimanded her for turning Alistair against the Bennetts.
After falling on top of Fox, Kay tripped once again and Fox swooped her up. When she said to let her go, he did just that, and she fell to the floor. Fox walked away, but Kay yelled for him to help her. Fox reminded Kay of a childhood party they both attended. While trying to reach a toy of Maria's, Fox and Kay fell off of the wharf and into the water. When Kay cried for help, Fox chuckled, "You live in Harmony and you don't know how to swim?" Fox was going to rescue Kay until she cut down the Cranes — again!
At church, Luis prayed to get Marty back.
Sheridan looked at a picture of Marty and cried. She talked to herself, recapping that Luis left to find their son, and how devious her father is. She recalled being with Marty and promising him she would get him back. Sheridan found sleeping pills and contemplated taking them. Gwen arrived to check on Sheridan, and believed her friend was in a locked bedroom. Worried she tried to hurt herself, Gwen and Ethan began searching for Sheridan. Then, Sheridan walked into the living room, fine and dandy — and all dolled up (finally out of that robe)! Gwen offered to stay the night with her, but Sheridan insisted on going to speak with her father. Once she headed out, Gwen and Ethan talked about what Sheridan is going through. When Gwen question how Beth could take Sheridan's baby away from her, Ethan pointed out that that is what they did to Theresa with Jane.
While Alistair smoked a cigar and anxiously awaited his date, the lights went out and a man held a knife to a shocked Crane's throat. Just then, Sheridan walked in.

In Las Vegas, the thugs talked about killing Noah and Fancy. They learned of their whereabouts.
From the police station, Ethan called the Crane mansion looking for Gwen. Ivy answered and he informed her that he was arrested, along with Noah and Sam, and they need bail money. Fancy walked in the room. Ivy hung up and filled Fancy in on the news. Fancy defended Alistair, while Ivy tried to blame everything on him. Ivy told Fancy she gave Alistair a reason to ruin the Bennetts. Ivy asked her daughter for money to bail out the men, and to go to the jailhouse with her. At the police station, Sam, Noah and Ethan were finger-printed and had their mug shots taken. Fancy bailed them out. Again, she defended her grandpa. Ivy asked Fancy to have Alistair drop the charges against Sam and his sons. Noah and Fancy acted as though they hate each other, and she pushed him.
Theresa expressed her anxiety to Whitney about agreeing to go out with Alistair. Just then, flowers arrived from Al. Whit told her friend to cancel her date with Mr. Crane. She then tossed the bouquet in the trash and handed Theresa the phone. Whitney headed out.
Fox stopped by to visit Miles, but Chad wouldn't let him see the boy. Then Chad agreed to let Fox go along to the doctor with them the following day. Miles began crying, and Chad told Fox to leave. Chad tried to calm his baby down, while playing a Miles Davis CD. While walking by the studio, Whitney heard Miles crying. Chad was happy when Whitney arrived at his door to see if Miles was okay. Whitney prayed for Miles to be better.
At Tabitha's, Kay caught up with her roommate and found out that Edna had a makeover. Kay vented about her family problems. Tabby didn't understand why Kay was upset. Kay said she misses her mom, feels bad for her dad and is worried about her sister. She feels bad about not exposing Ivy's secret about David not being Grace's real wife. Tab tried to tell Kay that didn't cause the drama that is happening now. Then, Kay left to clear her head. On the wharf, Kay accidentally threw stones at Fox. Kay let off steam about the Cranes, then walked away. Somehow, Kay tripped and landed on top of Fox. Ooh-la-la. Do I smell sexual tension building?
At the cottage, Luis and Sheridan (who was still in her robe) continued arguing. "I lost Marty, so you lost me," she blasted. While waiting in the living room, Pilar and Katherine bickered. Pilar pointed out that she raised Sheridan, not Kat. Katherine said she still had a right to be there. Gwen told Pilar, Martin and Katherine that she doesn't think Luis and Sheridan's relationship is going to get through this trauma. Sheridan pointed out to Luis that through their past lives, they failed to get married and were separated by death. "Right now you are killing our love, Luis," she said. Sheridan took off her engagement ring and tried to give it back to Luis, but he wouldn't take it. She set it on her dresser. Sheridan entered the living room and told everyone that Luis is getting ready to leave to search for Beth and Marty. Luis assured his mother he will be fine. Everyone begged Sheridan to work things out with Luis. Luis told them to leave her alone because she's right. "I don't want to hurt Sheridan anymore," he sighed. Sheridan asked to be alone. Pilar and Luis exchanged a tearful good-bye. Martin told his son that he loves him. "I hope and pray that you come back with Marty," he said. Kat, Gwen, Pilar and Martin exited. Before leaving, Luis promised Sheridan that he will bring Marty back to her. "With God as my witness, I will find your son," he said. Sheridan didn't say a word. He walked out without even giving her a good-bye kiss.
Pilar and Martin arrived home and told Theresa that Marty was not found and that Luis and Sheridan broke up. They told her that Alistair helped Beth get away with Marty. Theresa told Pilar that she would rather be on Al's good side. "Look what he's done to his own family," she noted, then said she wants to turn the tables on him. Just then, Alistair called. Pilar told him that Theresa wants nothing to do with him. "My daughter will never go on a date with you," she yelled.
Alistair happily prepared for his date with Theresa. Katherine blamed him for Luis and Sheridan's split.

After Ethan pulled Jessica away from a john, the guy told Sam he was set on getting his money's worth. Ethan held his father back from attacking the john. Noah grabbed his money from Jess and threw it back at the guy. Ethan told Sam not to yell at Jessica in order to get through to her. "My daughter is hooking and I can't yell at her," he responded. Sam calmly told Jess that he wants to take her home, and she responded positively with a hug. As Jessica, her father and half brothers began walking home, Sam told her that Spike is "going down." Jess snapped. "Don't you ever talk about my Spike that way," she blurted. They tried to tell her that he doesn't love her. As soon as she spotted Spike, she ran to him. Sam punched Spike and a fight broke out. Jessica yelled for her father to stop hitting her boyfriend, and accidentally got thrown to the floor. The cops arrived to break up the brawl. Spike claimed Sam hurt Jess. Sam pleaded for his daughter to tell the truth. She told the policemen that Spike was telling the truth and lied that Sam beat her. The former police chief was arrested. Outside of the station, Jessica's guilt nearly brought her to reveal the truth, but Spike stopped her. He then gave her a happy sticker to get her high. Sam tried to convince the officer that he didn't put a hand on his daughter and that Spike is the bad guy. Jessica and Spike walked into the station, and the cop asked her to explain what happened. Jessica refused to drop the charges against Noah, Ethan and Sam.
On the phone with Beth, a crying Sheridan begged her enemy to put Marty on the phone; Beth refused. Luis grabbed the phone from Sheridan and asked Beth to tell him where Marty is. Beth said, "I'll see you soon. I love you." Then hung up. Sheridan cried in Luis's arms, then insisted on getting her son back on the phone. Luis got word that the call could not be traced. An angry Sheridan told Luis to get out of her house. She screamed at him, claiming he loves Beth more than he loves her. Luis said he loves Sheridan, not Beth. But still, Sheridan pointed out that Luis picked Beth over her time and again. Sheridan recalled Beth telling her that Luis has been in love with her since high school. Gwen and Katherine tried to convince Sheridan to take everything out on Alistair, not Luis. When Kat approached Martin, Pilar told her to stay away from her husband. Gwen tried to comfort Luis. Sheridan told Luis that even if he brings Marty back to her, they will still be over.
Mrs. Wallace was thrilled with her new look, but still blackmailed Tabitha to give her more "renovating." Tabby told Endora to fix Edna's hearing. Mrs. W happily answered her cell phone when Beth called from a private jet, informing her mom that she got away. "I won. I have Sheridan's baby and she's never going to see him again. And one of these days I'll have Luis, too," she beamed. Tabitha suggested Beth come back to get her mother. After Beth and Edna ended their call, Tab cast a spell on Edna and she suddenly looked like, well, Kathleen Noone with red hair, make up and nice clothes. Still dissatisfied, Edna insisted on more. After three more attempts, Edna was dolled up in diamonds. Mrs. Wallace asked the witches for one more wish — men! Tab caused two hunks to appear. Meanwhile, a champagne-chugging Beth reveled in the fact that she's Alistair's daughter.
