PASSIONS Recaps Week of Aug. 15, 2005

Friday, August 19, 2005
At the Bennett household, Jessica prepared breakfast for Sam and called him "Daddy" many times in an effort to prove she's still his doting daughter. Soon, Ivy arrived with a note saying Noah had left. And then Paris Hilton... excuse me, Fancy came over, sporting a tiny dog, goggle sunglasses, a clunky, sparkly, spangled, bejewled purse, a chunky three-tiered necklace and ... yikes! It burns! Okay, how to describe the rest of the outfit? It's an oddly shaped, white, pseudo baby doll dress thing with blue-beaded detail. Oh, and the dog is wearing matching attire, natch. (Yeah, Fancy's clothing choices do come up a lot in these recaps, but when a character is channeling Paris, it can't be helped). Anyway, Jessica (looking decidedly better in a plain, yellow button-down shirt) was beside herself that a "celebrity" was in her kitchen. Sam asked Fancy if she knew of Noah's whereabouts, but she denied it. After, Ivy reamed out Fancy for showing up, looking for Noah, explaining that she put Noah in danger since Alistair didn't want Fancy to see him. She accused Fancy of only caring about herself. "I care about you," Fance cooed in a baby voice to the dog, nuzzling her nose against its adorable face. "You're prancing around in designer clothes and your little dog, too," Ivy snapped. "Noah is on the run for no good reason at all." Jessica then left the room, but not before telling Fancy, "Maybe we can go shopping sometime." (No, don't Jess!). Fancy then told her doggie how much she misses Noah and how they have to find him.

Meanwhile, Noah went to a seedy pool hall (there were big beefy guys — no doubt called "Tiny" and "Bubba" — drinking beer and arm wrestling, so you knew the joint was dangerous) and was held a knifepoint by a thug. "Owww," Noah whimpered. "There's no need to bloody that knife." The thug then went on about how "Tiny" (Hey, how's that for calling it?!) used to beat him every night and Noah owes him money. The thug offered to help Noah set up a game with Tiny ... just as a bar brawl broke out. Noah then went and got himself drunk right before playing Tiny. "If I'm gonna beat you, I need a cheering section," Noah shouted. "Everybody ... if I win, the next round is on me." "No-ah, No-ah," the crowd chanted. (NO-AH! NO-AH! Does the recapper get a beer, too?)

Sheridan and Gwen discussed how Theresa wants Ethan back. "Knowing her, she is not gonna stop until she gets him," Gwen sighed. After, Gwen accompanied Sheridan as Sher tried to find out where little Mark had been taken. They were relieved when she and the tot were reunited. "Please God, don't let [Alistair] take him away from her," Gwen prayed.

TC and Eve discussed Miles; TC was furious that Eve hadn't told him that Chad was Mile's father. "Of course she didn't tell you," Liz cut in. "What else would you expect from a lying whore?" Ouch! Eve concurred that she'd lied because Whitney wanted her to. "As her doctor, I had to keep her confidence," Eve explained, but Liz wouldn't buy it. Eve countered that Liz had kept her alleged seduction by Julian secret, as well. One-track-minded Liz went on about how "poor TC" had been kept in the dark. Eve revealed that Theresa had also known about Mile's parentage. "Isn't it clear why you can't still love her?" Liz asked TC, "She is still the same lying whore that you divorced." (Note to Liz: Please check the thesaurus for other demeaning words that describe women). TC wondered why Eve hadn't come to him if she was worried about the baby; Eve explained that she was worried about how TC and his temper would affect things. Liz again went off on Eve, but TC wouldn't hear it; instead, he hugged Eve. "She poisoned me!" Liz cried, shocked that TC was defending her.

Whitney informed Theresa (looking especially pretty in a white knit dress) that she's planning to join a convent because she can't trust herself to be alone with her hunky half bro. Chad then arrived with baby Miles in tow. Whit explained that she doesn't feel any better now that she's told the truth and that's why she wants to join a convent. After, T urged her friend to stick around and to just stay away from Chad. "That's like telling a heroin addict to stay away from heroin," Whit stated. (An odd analogy, but ... okay). Chad went to see TC and Eve and revealed Whitney's plans. Soon, the young ladies arrived at said convent. Theresa asked Whitney if she was sure she wanted to do this; a very determined Whit knocked on the door.

Rebecca mocked Julian and Ethan for trying to plan a defense for accused attempted-murderer, Eve. "She's no longer going to be singing at bars because she's gonna be behind bars," Becca quipped. Becca flashed back to putting something in a drink; Ethan and Julian demanded to know what she's hiding. Julian and Rebecca sniped at each other, but Ethan urged them to stop so they could concentrate on Eve's case. Becca was grateful when the session ended, and promptly left to make it to an appointment.

While walking through rubble, Whitney talked to herself about her sins causing the natural disasters.

Liz yelled at TC about still loving Eve, pointing out all the things she's done. Liz stormed off. Whitney rushed through the door, hugged her dad and said she did an awful thing and has to go away. A psychotic Liz trashed the kitchen, vowing that Eve will pay for taking her man. Whit asked her pop what the noise was, but he was only interested in what she had to say about leaving town. She cried, telling him she made love to Chad again, and that her half brother is her baby's daddy. TC was surprisingly understanding of Whit's decision to give Miles up for adoption, but demanded she stay home and not go to a convent. Liz called the police to stress to them that Eve poisoned her.

Ethan filled in Julian and Eve on Theresa moving into the mansion. He claims that's why he can't fill in as Eve's attorney, but after some persuading from Jules, Ethan agreed to represent the doc. After Eve and Julian walked away, Gwen told Ethan she doesn't think she can continue living under the same roof as Theresa. Ethan began working on Eve's case. He told Gwen he wants to protect Theresa from Alistair.

In their bedroom, Julian and Eve began to make love.

In Jane's nursery at the mansion, Theresa was thrilled to be with her two children. While taking her things out of her luggage, Theresa fantasized about being with Ethan — romantically.

Endora cast a spell to clean the magic bowl. In Tabitha's attic, Fox found some odd items. Trying to cover for the witch, Kay said, "Tabitha is an eccentric, that's all." A bat flew over their heads. Fox asked Kay if she was sure she wants to get it on there. Kay pointed out there is nowhere else to go. Before kissing again, Kay asked Fox if he was sure he wants to be romantically involved with her so soon after their hearts were broken. They began kissing on the bed, until a skeleton landed on them. Watching through the bowl, Tabitha was happy their lovemaking was thwarted. "This place is like a haunted house," Fox said. Once again, Kay tried to cover. Kay wondered if they were being given signs that they shouldn't hook up. When Fox was spooked by a big fake bear, he wanted to leave the attic. However, they discovered they were locked in. Tabitha realized Endora was keeping them locked in. "Who would've thought that I'd give birth to such a romantic little witchling," she smiled. Fox comforted a spooked Kay. Endora started up some slow jams for the duo. Fox and Kay returned to the bed, where they began making love.

Alistair blamed Noah for the trouble Fancy got into in Vegas. When he asked her if she is thankful to Noah, Fancy said she's not. Al told Fancy that Noah is beneath her. Ivy overheard their conversation. When Fancy walked out, Ivy yelled at her daughter for getting Noah in trouble. Ivy asked Fancy to convince her gramps to helping the Bennetts. Alistair informed Fancy that the money she took in Vegas was in the millions. She said Noah made her give it to a charity, then asked Al to help Noah out since he saved her life. Alistair agreed to help Noah as long as she stayed away from the Bennett. Fancy promised, but had her fingers crossed behind her back.

At the Bennett home, Sam shared his excitement with Noah that he is staying in Harmony. Sam then asked his son where he was when the earthquake hit. Noah recalled several moments with Fancy. Sam asked Noah if he likes the Crane heiress; Noah denied having feelings for her. Noah asked his dad if he thinks Grace will ever return; Sam said no. Over beer, the men talked about redoing the garage apartment for Noah to live in. When Sam left the room, Noah talked out loud about not wanting to stay in Harmony.

At the Bed and Breakfast, Sheridan encountered a handsome man with a South African accent (played by newcomer Adrian Wilson, who really did grow up in South Africa). When they touched, Sheridan reacted to an electric charge. He asked if there is a vacancy. In order to get him a room, Sheridan had to check out his ID. His name is Christopher Boothe, she noticed. She became suspicious of his very new-looking credit card and the wrong initials on his briefcase. The hotel guest told her the briefcase was his friend's. Christopher headed up to his room, and Sheridan wondered why he was really in town.

TC, sipping on liquor, recalled telling Eve that he wants her back. Liz interrupted his daydream, and went on and on about their wedding plans. TC told her they need to slow down, and suggested their engagement was premature. He admitted he never stopped loving Eve.

While eating bananas, Tabitha gloated to Endora about the trouble they've caused. The witch spied on Kay and Fox, who realized they are both free from Miguel and Whitney, respectively. They admitted they like each other. Kay joked that Dr. Phil would tell them to take time for themselves before jumping into a relationship. She even imitated the talk show host. Their laughter turned into a kiss. They discussed where they could go for privacy. In order to cover spying on Kay and Fox, Tabitha placed a bunch of bananas in her bowl and claimed it was banana soup. The couple headed upstairs. "They're up to monkey business," Tabby mumbled.

Sheridan sat in the wrecked park, and talked to herself about Marty and Mark being taken away from her. "I have nothing to live for," she uttered. Then she realized she has to take charge and turn her life around.

While entering the Bennett living room, where Sam and Ivy were cleaning up, Noah pointed out that Tabitha's house is in great shape after the disaster. Ivy was relieved when Sam's son informed her that Fancy is okay. He then told them that someone was ordered to only rescue Fancy, and he made it home on his own. Sam headed upstairs to check on Jessica. Noah flinched when Ivy touched his arm. He recalled getting electrocuted (something Ivy knows about first hand). Ivy cleaned and bandaged his wound, and warned him to stay away from Fancy. "Don't worry, Fancy and I will never be together," he assured. Ivy touched his face, in an almost creepy way. She pulled back and told Noah that she's happy he's home to help Sam with Jessica. He said he doesn't plan on staying and "mooching" on his dad. Sam returned to the living room just before Sheridan arrived. Sheridan and Noah were introduced. Sheridan asked Sam if she can work at Grace's Bed and Breakfast in order to keep busy. Sam hired her, and they headed over to the B&B. Noah told Ivy he found money in Vegas and that thugs are after him; he needs to leave Harmony to keep his family safe. Ivy asked if Fancy was involved. She realized she is the one who took the dough. Ivy made Noah promise he won't leave.

Julian fired Eve's attorney. "You do not need a lawyer you thinks you are guilty," Jules said to the worried doc.

Fancy picked a flower (How it survived the tsunami is anyone's guess). She recalled happy times with Noah. She then picked the petals, saying, "He loves me. He loves me not." Mad at herself for thinking of Noah, she stepped on the flower.

Alistair reminded a perturbed Gwen and Ethan that they, too, are mere guests in his home. Theresa and Gwen fought. Theresa prompted Alistair to tell the Winthrops they must respect her. Ethan told Gwen they will move out — with Jane! Theresa yelled, "No!" Alistair threatened Ethan by saying he'd have him fired if he leaves the mansion. Theresa privately told Al that if Ethan and Gwen move out, their deal is off. She then headed upstairs to see Jane and Little Ethan. Fancy came home and was welcomed by her gramps. She told Al she was stuck with Noah during the tsunami. She explained the goons kidnapped her and Noah saved her. Julian and Eve arrived at the mansion and asked Ethan to be Eve's new lawyer.

Kay thanked Fox for bringing Jessica back home. They kissed. Wait, no. Turns out that was just Kay fantasizing about smooching the guy she slept with the previous night. The two were uncomfortable while talking about Miguel and Whitney. Kay admitted she was hurt when the father of her baby left with her cousin. Fox asked her what she would do if Migs returned without Charity; she said she doesn't think about that. Fox realized their situations are similar. Fox headed out to check on Miles, while Kay went to Tabitha's to see Maria. Kay received a call from Miguel, who was asking if their daughter was okay after the tsunami. She asked if there was any chance of him returning to Harmony. Kay tried to hide her hurt. After she hung up, Kay realized there is no hope for her and Miguel.

Whitney walked into Chad's place, and told him she can't be with him anymore. She blamed herself, once again, for Miles's health problems. "I don't believe God is as judgmental as you," blasted Chad when Whit pointed out incest is a sin. Whitney begged Chad to keep Miles's paternity a secret, and explained why she thinks nobody should know. Fox walked in just in time to hear Whitney say that Miles is Chad's son. "You lied to me from the moment you found out you were pregnant," a choked up Fox uttered. "You used me into believing I had a future with you and this boy who I thought was mine. At least it all makes sense now." Whitney explained she did it to protect her son. "You have to be the most heartless, selfish bitch I've met in my entire life," he replied. Fox held Miles and said, "You'll never know how much I love you." A devastated Fox told Whitney he knows she still loves Chad, then walked out. Chad tried to convince Whit that it's best that Fox knows the truth. Whitney breaks the news that she's joining a convent in order to try to make up for her sins.

At the hospital, Julian and Eve discussed Whitney's decision to join a convent. A lawyer walked in and told Eve that her trial was coming up. He tried to convince her to plead guilty to aggravated assault and give up her license to practice medicine. Furious, she said she wouldn't do it because she's innocent.

At the Crane mansion, Ethan tried to convince Gwen that Theresa is just pretending to be in cahoots with Alistair to take Jane away from them.

Pilar, Katherine and Martin barged in on Theresa and Alistair talking about their deal. Martin told Al to get out of the house. Alistair told Theresa he can get Jane back to her, and that she can live in the mansion. Kat begged Theresa not to go along with his scheme, explaining that Alistair will make a slave out of her. Alistair assured Theresa that is not the case, and told her not to pass up the opportunity to live under the same roof as her daughter and Ethan. A tearful Theresa told Alistair to leave. She watched through the window as Al walked out. Alistair arrived home to Ethan and Gwen, and opened the door to who else? Theresa! With a new outfit on and luggage in hand. Alistair announced to Gwen and Ethan that Theresa was moving in as his guest.

Fancy jumped in the water and lifted an electrocuted Noah to the surface. As they swam away on a wooden crate, the live wire entered the water and BAM!, the two were sent flying back through the store's window. Noah woke up to hear a passed out Fancy mumble his name. Noah kissed Fancy and she woke up. He asked her if she's still mad at him, and she recalled reading the letter in his wallet. He made fun of her for calling him a lout. Fancy was thrilled when a man on a Crane Industries boat arrived to rescue them. When Fancy told Noah to get on the boat, the man told him that he was ordered to only take Alistair's granddaughter. They headed away. Noah took the love letter out of his wallet, happy it didn't get ruined during the disaster.

Kay went outside and talked to herself out loud, asking if anybody is going to ever love her. Fox walked up and Kay asked if everything was okay. He told her that Miles isn't his son. Kay tried to comfort him. Then she told Fox that Miguel called and she realized she doesn't have a chance with him.

At Pilar's, everyone realized Theresa left.

In the department store, Noah questioned Fancy about all of a sudden being cold to him again. Fancy recalled the love letter she found in his wallet, then acted as though she is no longer interested in him. Noah tried to catch up to Fancy, who stormed off. He told her he was having a great time with her. Noah told her to follow him out of the store. He broke a window with a chair, then dove into the water. Just then, a live electrical wire began to spark above him. Noah tried to stay away from danger. While balancing on wood, he touched the wire, then was electrocuted.

At the hospital, Julian thanked Eve for saving his life after Liz stabbed him. Whitney walked in, claiming she was about to do something that will affect plenty of people. Eve assumed her daughter was ready to tell Fox he's not Miles's father. Whit announced she is joining a convent far from Harmony, and that Chad knows Miles is his son. She then admitted to Eve and Jules that she and her half brother had sex again. Whit vented about being in love with Chad, and blamed it on Eve. After Whitney stormed out, Julian told the doc that she didn't mean what she said.

Outside the Bennett home, Ivy warned Fox against getting involved with Kay. When he wondered why Kay suddenly gave him the cold shoulder, Ivy recalled telling her that he's a player. Same arrived after searching for Noah, Jessica and Fancy. He told everyone he knows Jess is with Spike. Fox and Kay headed out to look for Jess.

Spike and Jessica enter a wrecked apartment, where they plan to live. Jess pushed Spike off when he was kissing all over her, and claimed she can't sleep with strangers for money. He gave her a pill to help her "relax," then went out to find her first customer of the day. Alone, Jessica recalled everyone telling her that Spike is using her and that he doesn't love her. "They're right. It's time for me to go home," she realized. Just as she was walking out the door, Spike showed up with a john. Jess told her boyfriend/pimp that she wasn't going to sleep with the guy. Spike told her that she has no one to rely on but him. He then gave her yet another pill. Spike left Jessica to work. The man began groping Jess, who tried to push him off. Fox tapped the guy on the shoulder, then punched him out. Jessica began to leave with Kay and Fox, until Spike walked in with a gun. Fox and Spike brawled until Spike ended up knocked out. Jessica didn't want to leave her beau behind. Fox opened up Jessica's eyes to Spike's "love" for her. Kay jumped in and told her sister she has to make a choice between Spike and her loving family.

At Pilar's house, Sheridan begged the woman from Child Protective Services not to take Mark away from her. Martin, Katherine and Pilar also pleaded with the woman. Mark ran to Sheridan. Ethan told Sheridan he will do everything he can in order to get Mark back for her in the near future. Sheridan told Mark to go with the "nice lady," and that she will see him soon. Off the woman and Mark went. Kat gave her daughter a comforting hug. While researching how to get Mark back, Ethan realized it is going to be harder than he thought. Ethan explained to Sheridan that couples have already registered to adopt, and with her being a single mother, her chances of getting Mark didn't look good.

Upstairs, Alistair chatted with Theresa about their plan. Theresa recalled Ethan telling her to get out of her situation with Al. She then told Alistair the deal was off. Theresa said the natural disasters were signs telling her that she was making a big mistake by teaming up with him. Theresa once again told Al that she is going to get proof that Rebecca and Gwen sent the e-mail to the tabloid. Alistair said that will be difficult if he prevents her admittance into the mansion, but that he can get her what she wants.

Fox and Kay returned home, and reunited Jessica with Sam. Fox asked Kay why she was acting weird toward him earlier, and she apologized.
