PASSIONS Recaps Week of Aug. 22, 2005Friday, August 26, 2005 Pilar dropped some clothing off to Sheridan for Mark. Sheridan explained that the boy's real name is James, and that Chris is his father. In her own mind, Pilar silently worried that Sheridan is setting herself up for more heartbreak with James and Chris. Pilar warned Sheridan that she might be subconsciously substituting Marty for James, but Sheridan insisted that she knew the difference. Pilar quietly doubted her. Eve asked everyone to give her a moment to collect herself before she announced her decision. She tearfully told Julian and TC that she wants another chance with her family. Julian consoled her and told him he understood. A drunken Liz asked him how he could understand having his heart ripped out and stomped on "by that bitch." She then asked TC how he could take back a "a slut, an addict and a murderer." Eve gave Julian back his engagement ring. When Liz turned her tongue onto Eve, TC and Julian came to Eve's defense, and told Liz to shut the hell up. A scorned Liz lashed out at TC and accused him of using her for cheap sex then throwing her away. Julian manhandled her out of the Russell house. Liz threatened to help send Eve to jail during her upcoming trial in retaliation to everyone. Overhearing all of this commotion from the kitchen, Simone became upset and depressed at the thought that despite Eve's assurances, her family is still too wrapped up in their own problems and melodrama to give a damn about her.
Theresa picked out the most conservative, unflattering dress she could for her date with Alistair. But Alistair would have none of it, and ordered her to change into a sexy, revealing outfit. Once Theresa passed Alistair's inspection with her new outfit he presented her with a gift: a diamond and ruby bracelet. When Theresa said she couldn't accept such a big gift, Alistair said to consider it an "advance" that she will soon be earning. Alistair was excited when he sensed that Theresa was afraid of him. As Alistair waited for Theresa downstairs, Theresa slipped off to the pool, where she checked in on Little Ethan and Jane, who were with Gwen and Ethan. Ethan spied Theresa's sexy outfit and expensive bracelet on Theresa's wrist and admonished her for going ahead with her "deal" with Alistair. Back inside the Crane mansion, Fancy got excited as she primped and prepared herself for her "one glorious night" with Noah. Alistair quizzed her on who she was going out on a date with. Fancy stonewalled. Alistair presented Fancy with a gift, and told her she's the one member of the family who never disappoints him. When Julian returned home to drown his sorrows in brandy, he was taunted by Alistair, who took pleasure in learning of Julian's break-up. When Alistair called Eve a black drug-addicted whore, Julian punched out his father. Alistair declared that in retaliation he has a surprise for Julian and the entire family that none of them are going to like...
Thursday, August 25, 2005 Alistair confronted Theresa and told her that he fulfilled his end of their bargain, and now it's her turn to make good on their deal. Theresa tried to feign illness but Alistair didn't buy it. He ordered her to get dressed and ready to resume their date. Noah asked Fancy what "favor" she wanted from him as thanks for her getting Alistair to take care of the Vegas goons. Fancy was about to answer him when two girls came up and asked Noah to dance. A stubborn Fancy refused to tell the girls that he was her boyfriend to shoo them away, and watched as he went off to dance with them. When he returned, Fancy finally told him what "favor" she wanted: She wanted to spend one glorious night with him. When a stunned Noah loudly asked if that meant she wanted to have sex with him, the entire restaurant heard him. Fancy sunk into her seat in embarrassment. All the patrons in the restaurant gathered around and started clapping and chanting, "I want sex!" Outside the restaurant, Fancy clarified her request. She explained that she's tired of all the disasters and drama in Harmony and is heading for Paris. But she would like one night out on the town with Noah as her farewell to Harmony. At Child Protective Services, Sheridan was dumbfounded to learn that Chris is Mark's real father. Mark expressed surprise that his own son ended up being in the same town where he came to report on the tsunami disaster. After a couple of mysterious phone calls Chris told Sheridan he has to work and asked if Sheridan would mind babysitting his son. A drunken Liz warned Julian that Eve is going to pick TC over him. Liz kept taunting Julian about Eve being a whore. When Julian turned to get away from her, she slapped him and warned him to never turn his back on her. In response, Julian slapped Liz back. Liz was horrified that Julian hit a woman. Julian told her that she was sick and hated herself deep down inside. Eve demanded answers from Simone, who remained defiant. Simone berated her mother for ignoring her while Eve focused on everyone else. Eve apologized and insisted that she loves Simone and is here for her now, and that Simone can come to her about anything. Simone accepted her mother's apology and decided to confide in her mother about her secret. Eve reassured Simone that she wasn't upset with her over her secret, and wants her daughter to be happy. A tearful Simone thanked her mother for being so understanding. When TC returned home, Eve announced to TC and Julian that she had decided which of them she wants to be with.
Wednesday, August 24, 2005 On the wharf, Simone apologized to Fox for her sister Whitney's machinations. Simone asked to speak to Kay privately, but she was too distracted with Fox and Endora and asked Simone if they could speak later on. A disappointed Simone went for a walk on the wharf by herself. At the Bennetts, Sam ordered Jessica to apologize to Ivy for her rude behavior. Jessica insisted that Ivy should leave, but Sam refused and demanded that Jessica be nice to her guest. When Jessica remained defiant, Sam grounded her. Jessica laughed in his face, and accused him of treating her like a prisoner. When Sam accused her of being a spoiled Brat, Jessica stormed out of the house. Ivy suggested that they run after Jessica, but Sam said it's better if they let her cool off. Ivy blamed herself for the conflict between Jessica and Sam but Sam reassured Ivy she is not the cause. Sam reminisced about his days as a beat cop witnessing the horrors of domestic disturbance calls he responded to, and wondered how such things were now happening in his own family. Sam concluded that he can't do anything more for Jessica. A distraught Jessica went looking for Spike, and told him he was right about everything he said. Jessica pleaded with Spike to take her back. Spike said she broke his heart, but was willing to give her another chance. Simone happened upon Spike and Jessica kissing, and confronted them. Jessica informed Simone that she was back together with Spike, and both she and Spike gave her the cold shoulder. As Simone walked further along the wharf, one of Spike's thug associates followed Simone with a baseball bat. Back at his place, Spike feigned having second thoughts about getting back together with Jessica, and said she would have to do exactly what he wanted if she wants to stay with him. Chris explained to Sheridan that he knew about her kidnapped Marty because he's a reporter and follows the news. Sheridan got a call from Child Protective Services agency asking her to come down and sign more paperwork regarding her being Mark's foster parent. At the agency, the social worker informed Sheridan that they had found Mark's biological father. Sheridan was horrified when Chris arrived and identified himself as Mark's dad. A drunken Liz dressed down Eve in front of TC and Julian, who was upset to have observed Eve kissing TC when he arrived. Liz spilled the beans to Julian about TC's renewed interest in Eve. Julian confronted Eve about her interest in TC. Liz forced Eve to tell Julian that she's known about TC's interest in her since the tsunami. To Eve's horror, both TC and Julian accepted responsibility for putting Eve into an impossible dilemma. Julian offered to step aside and let TC reunite with Eve if that is what she wanted. Liz was dumbstruck that World War III wasn't erupting among TC, Julian and Eve. Despite Liz' protestations, Julian and TC tuned her out and both pledged their love to Eve. TC blamed himself for their past problems and made a poignant plea for Eve to take him back. Liz was disgusted that both men were deferring to Eve to make a decision. Before Eve could make a decision, a battered Simone stumbled into the house — apparently having been assaulted by Spike's thug — and passed out with a bleeding wound on her head.
Tuesday, August 23, 2005 At the Crane Mansion, Rebecca felt stressed when Ethan wanted to go over her statement for Eve's trial. Theresa interjected and insisted Rebecca come clean about being responsible for Ethan's paternity story scandal in the tabloids. Ethan played referee between Theresa, Gwen and Rebecca and ordered everyone back to their corners. Privately, Julian suggested that Ethan try to see things from Theresa's point of view. Later on, Theresa embraced Ethan and tearfully said that her entire life would be in shambles if it weren't for him. At the roadhouse, the owner held Noah at knifepoint and demanded his money after Fancy ruined Noah's pool match. He dragged Noah and Fancy into the kitchen and demanded that they do the dishes to work off Noah's debt. Fancy was horrified at the sight of a cockroach on the dishes and jumped into Noah's arms. The two of them suited up and began to wash the dishes while continuing their ongoing argumentative banter. Fancy broke the first dish she tried to wash. After finishing all of the dishes, Noah and Fancy were aghast when the owner told them Noah's debt wouldn't be fully paid off until they cleaned the disgusting bathrooms as well. At the Russell house, everyone tried to convince Whitney to stay in Harmony and be a part of Miles' life, but Whitney insisted she has to join the convent because her incestuous love for Chad is too strong for her to control. A tearful Whitney then made her good-byes. She gave Simone an heirloom necklace that TC had given Whitney from his family. She then thanked Liz for her love and support, especially of her music career, then she gave her parents a final hug and kiss. She then walked out without a final embrace of Miles. Upset that her parents still remain focused on Whitney, Simone left the house in disgust. Liz then trashed Eve to TC, and told him the two of them deserve each other. A bewildered Eve rhetorically asked TC, "What has happened to our lives?" Eve blamed herself for all of their family's troubles. TC consoled her and insisted that she is not the cause of all their problems. TC and Eve then kissed tenderly. Declaring that this was Miles' only chance for a normal life, Whitney returned to the convent. Tabitha was frustrated by her failed attempts to cast a spell to keep Fox and Kay apart, then realized to her dismay that Endora was working her own magic to keep Fox and Kay together. When Ivy arrived at Tabitha's she was also dismayed to see Fox and Kay happily together. Endora continued to work her magic to keep Fox and Kay's day going smoothly.
Monday, August 22, 2005 Fancy enlisted the help of Crane security to track down Noah to tell him the good news that Alistair would protect them from any more Vegas thugs. At the roadhouse, Noah continued his rigged high-stakes pool match to win the money needed to pay off the thugs. Fancy caught up with Noah at the roadhouse just as he was about to make his win-it-or-lose-it shot, and knocked into him, ruining the game. Angered at the prospect that he won't be getting his money, the Vegas thug pulled a knife on Noah as a horrified Fancy looked on. Ethan was frustrated in his attempts to prepare a proper defense for Eve. Julian pondered how the jury might react to his and Rebecca's sexual history, and had flashbacks to their colorful dalliances. Ethan warned Julian that Rebecca is the prosecution's strongest witness. Gwen grilled Rebecca about her nervousness behavior and why she missed her spa appointment. Rebecca admitted to her daughter that she (Rebecca) was the one who poisoned Eve's punch, hoping to kill Eve so she could have Julian all to herself. Gwen was horrified by her mother's murderous revelations. Gwen warned Rebecca that Ethan is a brilliant lawyer and can sense when someone is hiding something. TC and Eve welcomed Simone home, but confronted her on her whereabouts for the time she was supposedly on her school trip. Simone flipped out on how Whitney gets everyone's attention and concern. Eve and TC tried to reassure their daughter of their love for her, but Simone rejected their overtures. Chad then tried to reason with Simone, who learned that Whitney and Chad had a baby together. Simone remained defiant and declared she was going back to her friends.
