Alistair grilled Fancy on why her date with Edmund ended so early. Fancy said an "old friend of Edmund's" spoiled their evening, but didn't say who. Alistair insisted that Fancy continue to cozy up to Edmund to help gain info on his father's company. Alistair suggested that Fancy could even become Mrs. Edmund Sinclair and take on as many lovers as she wanted on the side, all in the name of business. Fancy was bewildered by the prospect. Ivy overheard from the shadows, and when Alistair left, Ivy explained that Alistair was serious, and that she, too, was victim of a forced marriage to Julian by Alistair for business purposes. Ivy warned Fancy not to make the same mistake she did. Ivy then warned Fancy not to continue her relationship with Noah. Fancy bristled when Ivy insisted that the two of them were not right for each other because they come from two very different worlds. Ivy warned Fancy that Noah would never leave his world to come live in hers.
At the Blue Note, Rebecca spotted Noah behind the bar and immediately had the hots for him. Liz complimented Noah on driving up bar sales because of his way with women, and offered him a permanent bartending job — provided he was single so that the female customers would think they had a chance with him. Noah declared there wasn't any woman in his life. Rebecca got drunk and giddy buying drinks from Noah, and soon propositioned him. Liz cracked open a bottle of champagne, and she and Rebecca toasted Eve's imminent conviction.
Julian pressed Eve on his offer to whisk her away and run off to start a new life together to avoid a certain conviction. After much deliberation, Eve said yes. Julian promised her that she made the right choice. Eve paid Whitney a surprise visit at the convent and told her of her plans to run away with Julian. Eve told Whitney she now understood why Whitney felt the need to run away to the convent. Eve and Whitney bid each other a tearful farewell. Eve became distressed when Julian told her there was no time for any more good-byes.
In a conversation with Ethan, Theresa accused Gwen and Rebecca of being the ones responsible for his paternity scandal in the tabloids, and explained how Gwen burned her mother's disks with the evidence. When Ethan confronted Gwen with Theresa's accusations, Gwen shocked Theresa by admitting to burning the disks, but lied and said that the disks contained embarrassing records of Rebecca's sexual exploits. Theresa called Gwen a liar, and insisted that Gwen admitted to Theresa what she and her mother did to Ethan during their struggle for the disks. An exasperated Ethan refereed the she said/she said, trying to ascertain the truth. Ethan told Gwen he found it hard to believe that Theresa would risk getting seriously burned just over disks about Rebecca's sexual escapades. Ivy surprised everyone by crashing the conversation and lied to Ethan, telling him that she was there when it all happened and that Theresa was lying. When Ethan told Theresa his mother and wife would never lie to him, Theresa insisted that they were and she vowed to prove it. With her tail between her legs, Theresa made a beeline to Alistair for help, and offered to do "anything" in return for his help in getting Jane and Ethan back once and for all.

Sheridan attempted to call the police when she overheard Chris remark to James about PRETENDING to be his father, but Chris took her cell phone and blocked her from leaving. Chris insisted he didn't mean his comments literally. He convinced Sheridan that she misunderstood. Sheridan apologized and explained that she now mistrusts and thinks the worst of everyone because of all the betrayals and losses she's suffered in the past year. When Sheridan wrecked breakfast at the B&B Chris offered to come to her rescue, and he and Sheridan grew closer.
At the Blue Note, Fancy became annoyed while Edmund continued to talk up Noah non-stop. Fancy denied Edmund's claim that her eyes were glued to Noah the moment they walked in the club. Noah lied when Edmund asked him if he had been involved with Fancy. Noah tried to help Edmund with his date, but his help backfired when Fancy learned Edmund was operating under Noah's advice. An enraged Fancy stormed out of the Blue Note and left a dumbstruck Edmund and a "been there, done that" Noah to themselves.
At the court house, Eve was incensed by Grace Nancier's take-it-or-leave it plea bargain offer of 45 years.Ethan tried to shake Grace's confidence by dismissing her case against Eve as a bunch of innuendo and hearsay, but Grace remained unflappable and warned Eve she would be spending the rest of her life in prison for certain if she didn't take the deal. Liz expressed her curiosity as to what Rebecca was doing down in the church basement when she was poisoned. Julian pulled Eve aside and suggested that the two of them run away together. Eve said she couldn't allow Julian to give up his whole life for her. But Julian said his life has no meaning without her. Eve took a moment to ponder Julian's shocking offer.
Pilar tried to break up the fight between Gwen and Theresa, who kept trying to shove Gwen into the furnace. In the melee, Pilar fell backward and almost went headfirst into the furnace herself. Once Gwen saw that Pilar was okay, she made a fast exit as Pilar and Theresa consoled each other. Pilar tended to Theresa's physical and emotional wounds, and told her daughter it was for the best that the evidence was gone so Theresa could move on with her life. Pilar insisted that it would be a sin to break up a marriage Ethan has committed to, and declared that Theresa needs to admit defeat, move home, get a job, and move on. Theresa insisted that either Ethan will believe her side of the story, or Alistair will help her. To Pilar's horror, Theresa admitted she's willing to pay "any price" to get her daughter and Ethan back.

At the Blue Note, Fancy and the rest of the female customers were distracted by Noah's bartending prowess, much to Edmund's dismay. Fancy's fancy of Noah caused a rift between her and Edmund, and their night out quickly soured. Noah grilled Fancy about her new date as he made her a drink. Edmund approached and threatened to take care of the bartender if he was bothering her. Noah was unfazed and told off Edmund. The two locked horns in a verbal stand-off. When Fancy called out their names to stop them from coming to blows, Edmund and Noah recognized each other and gave each other a big hug. They explained to a bewildered Fancy that they were childhood friends and schoolmates.Fancy was charmed when she heard Edmund sing Noah's praises nonstop.
Theresa and Gwen fought over the floppy disks that contained the evidence that Gwen and Rebecca were behind Ethan's paternity scandal in the tabloids. Gwen threw the disks in the furnace. Theresa reached into the furnace to retrieve the disks, but Pilar did her best to restrain her daughter. Unfortunately. Pilar's efforts failed in preventing Theresa for seriously burning her arm and hand. Gwen showed no compassion towards Theresa for her injuries, reprimanding her that this is what happens "when she plays with fire." Theresa snapped and wrestled Gwen toward the furnace opening and threatened to burn her along with the disks.
As Sheridan and Chris tended to James, gunfire erupted outside. They ducked for cover, fearing that the mob had caught up to Chris. Then the gunfire ended. Chris surmised that the mob wouldn't suddenly stop their gunfire and leave. He then noticed that the washing machine was overflowing. Sheridan had put in too much detergent, which caused the washing machine to explode, causing the popping sounds of gunfire. Chris and Sheridan had a good laugh about what happened as they cleaned up the mess. Later Sheridan walked in on Chris talking to James about not being James' real father.
At the courthouse, Ethan failed to block the prosecution's use of Liz as a witness. Liz trashed Eve on the stand, then explained why she thought Eve tried to kill her. When Liz called Eve a drug-addicted, liquor-loving whore, the courtroom erupted into chaos as both TC and Julian gave separate outbursts in Eve's defense. As the judge tried to regain order, Liz exclaimed to Julian that Eve was nothing more than the "white master's black love slave" to him. Eve became worried that the jury was eating up everything Liz had to say. Ethan shocked and angered Julian, TC and Eve when he decided not to cross-examine Liz. Ethan explained that cross-examining a witness the jury sympathized with would backfire. Rebecca took the stand next. Julian urged Ethan to do whatever it took to get the truth out of Rebecca. Unfortunately, Grace Nancier's taut direct examination of Rebecca left little latitude for Ethan to cross-examine her. When court recessed for the day, Rebecca and Liz offered to throw Grace Nancier a party in her honor, once Eve was convicted. Ethan recommended that Eve seek a plea bargain for reduced time because of the overwhelming circumstantial evidence. Julian agreed with Ethan's legal opinion. Eve instructed Ethan to negotiate with Grace, who offered Eve a "deal" to serve 45 years — 15 for each count of attempted murder — take it or leave it!

Alistair tried to cheer Fancy up by offering to buy her anything in the Tiffany catalogue, and having it delivered that night. "The one thing I want, your money can't buy," she said, picturing Noah.... Speaking of Noah, he came home to find his father desperately trying to work out money issues. Noah suggested selling the B&B, but Sam was reluctant to let it go, because he still missed Grace. The phone rang, and in a clever move, it seemed like Alistair had called Noah, but turns out Noah was talking to an old buddy who offered him a bartending job, which Sam didn't approve of. Meanwhile, the call Alistair actually made was to a wealthy young man named Edmund Sinclair, who he invited over to take out Fancy. Alistair coerced Fancy into going out with Edmund to spy on him and get his family's business secrets. They agreed business came above all else.... Later, Noah made drinks Cocktail style at The Blue Note. Fancy was surprised to find him there.
Liz called Eve a "common ex-drug addicted whore", before being silenced by the court. TC was called to the stand. Then Julian got on the stand and Nancier asked him if Eve ever wanted him dead. Julian made an impassioned plea for Eve, describing her an a wonderful woman. Then Liz was called to the stand.

Theresa ran down to the basement to try and get the disks back. The girls fought, but the disks ended up in the fire.

Whitney fled from court, followed by TC and Chad. TC made Chad go back into the courtroom, while TC told his daughter not to keep running. She insisted she couldn't see anyone that she loved again. Nancier tried to get Simone to admit she was gay, causing Liz to leap up and claim that Eve was a horrible person, a drunk and a whore, who didn't stop their father from raping Liz.
