Paloma and Simone followed Jessica and her john back to their motel room to keep an eye on Jessica. They became grossed out watching Jessica’s john paw all over Jessica. The john became forceful and slapped Jessica around. Paloma and Simone speculated that maybe Jessica thinks she’s being raped when the drugs suddenly wear off so she kills her johns in self defense. Spike caught them outside Jessica’s motel room and forced them into a locked storage room at gunpoint as punishment for “messing with him and his business.” Both girls tried their cell phones but got no service. Simone managed to break the door down and the two girls made a mad dash to the motel room, but they were too late: Jessica was already washing blood off her hands in the bathroom sink. By the time Simone and Paloma arrived, there were just bloody hand prints on the inside of the door, while Jessica sat dazed and confused on the bed. As Simone and Paloma encouraged her to remember what happened, Jessica was struck by an awful epiphany: She was the killer!

Fox and Kay went to the Seascape to enjoy their night out on the town courtesy of Alistair. Much to Tabitha’s dismay, Endora cast a spell that put a charm bracelet in Fox’s pocket as a gift for Kay. Sam and Ivy showed up at the Seascape for dinner. Ivy seethed at the sight of Kay getting cozier with Fox. Sam and Ivy told Fox and Kay about Ethan’s situation. Sam tried checking on Jessica at home by phone but got no answer. Privately, Ivy and Kay drew lines in the sand and exchanged threats.

Chris lamented having to return to the Witness Protection Program as the FBI agent sped him and James to the Harmony train station. They were being followed by an operative from the mob. At the hospital, Eve joined Sheridan in the chapel to say prayers for Ethan. As they recounted all of their recent losses, an observant Eve asked Sheridan if she has experienced another loss. Sheridan took a call at the hospital from the FBI for Chris, warning him of an impending strike by the mob: A hit man is on his way to Harmony to do them in tonight. Sheridan took off frantically from the hospital to warn James and Chris, who just arrived at the train station. The FBI agents ushered Chris and James onto the train, as the hitman prepared his gun on the platform. Sheridan got through to Chris on his cell phone and attempted to warn him about the hitman when she heard gunfire over the phone.

What was the original gift that Endora magically conjured for Fox to give to Kay?

Sam arrived at the hospital to learn about Ethan’s condition and hear Eve’s grim prognosis for him. Sam joined the chorus of angry people who blamed Theresa for what happened. When Rebecca encouraged the cop to arrest Theresa, Alistair stepped in and warned the cop to release Theresa, which he did immediately. Privately, Gwen expressed guilt to Rebecca over what happened to Ethan: They both knew that Theresa was plotting to poison Alistair, and if they had intervened then Ethan wouldn’t be comatose and fighting for his life. Alistair pulled Theresa aside and asked her for her thanks. He told her he knew she had tried to kill him — and that action earned his respect. He said she’s unlike the rest of his family who are all too afraid to do anything but just sit there and take it. He told her to come home for sex pronto. Sam and Ivy spoke to their comatose son in the hopes of wakening him. Gwen, Rebecca, and Eve joined them in Ethan’s bedside vigil. Alistair called Theresa at the hospital on her cell and warned that if she doesn’t come up ASAP to fulfill her pre-nup agreement she will suffer the consequences. Theresa stalled and remained at the hospital looking for an opportunity to sneak in and see Ethan. Alistair called Theresa on her cell once again. This time he issued a veiled threat: He was playing with Little Ethan and warned that he sometimes loses his temper around small children. Alistair’s threat sent Theresa into a tailspin as she scrambled to leave the hospital and go home to Alistair before it was too late. Elsewhere in Harmony Hospital the FBI informed Chris and Sheridan that James’ condition had stabilized enough so that the Witness Protection Program’s own physicians could take over his care. This meant that Chris and James had to leave to re-enter the program within the hour. Sheridan kissed James goodbye and hugged Chris, who professed his love to her, goodbye. The FBI agent told Chris how much he admired him for giving up on Sheridan and not being selfish by having her endanger herself by joining him in hiding.

On the wharf, Simone and Paloma discussed and psychoanalyzed Jessica’s problems. Jessica returned to Spike, who promised to look out for her and take care of her. Jessica told Spike the only reason Simone helped her clean up both crime scenes from both murdered johns was because she was interested in her physically. Spike briefly entertained the notion of a three-way with Simone and Jessica before giving Jessica more drugs so she can get high and start working the streets again. When Jessica said she wanted to spend the night with Spike, Spike told her she’s been falling short and she needs to make some money. Spike promised that he would “do her” after she bedded at least five johns that night. Simone and Paloma followed Jessica and Spike and watched Spike give Jessica drugs to make her high so she can endure her prostitution. Paloma wisely observed that the high, mellow state the drugs put Jessica into make her incapable of murder. Spike pimped out Jessica to an ex-con fresh out of prison and quite eager for a good time.

At Crane Industries, Alistair held a meeting with Fox, Kay, Chad and Valerie to review their performance in the first of his tests. Alistair blatantly pitted the half-brothers against each other, and warned that the ultimate loser of the competition would be out of a job, while the winner will have secured his place in Crane Industries. Fox’s presentation blew Chad’s out of the water, and Alistair declared Fox the winner of round one. A surprised and defeated Chad was left to lick his wounds, while Valerie picked up the pieces, regrouped and strategized on how they can beat Fox and Kay in round two. Alistair eavesdropped on their conversation with amusement, and confronted Valerie when she left the conference room. He told her he had been listening to her conversation with Chad, and was impressed with the advice she was giving Chad. Moreover he was impressed by her determination and drive, and began to flirt with her. Valerie flirted back, which only fueled Alistair’s interest. Alistair declared that she will go far at Crane Industries if she continues to play the game properly.

Chris told Sheridan he’s fallen madly and deeply in love with her, and that’s why he doesn’t want her joining him in the Witness Protection Program. He said he couldn’t stand for her to make that kind of sacrifice and put her in that kind of danger. He asked Sheridan if she has fallen in love with him, too. When Sheridan hesitated he said she did not have to answer his question, and apologized for not having the time and opportunity to properly court and romance her. The two continued to rehash these same points over and over, taking up about a third of the episode.

At the hospital Eve delivered a grim prognosis for Ethan just as Ivy and Pilar arrived on the scene. Gwen and Rebecca accused Theresa of being responsible for Ethan’s condition. Theresa insisted she would never hurt Ethan. Ivy vowed to make Theresa pay for what she did to her son. While Rebecca, Gwen and Ivy talked to a comatose Ethan, Theresa privately explained to Pilar what happened to Ethan and how Theresa was trying to kill Alistair. Pilar said every time she thinks that Theresa has done the worst possible thing, Theresa manages to do something even worse. Pilar told Theresa to just leave Alistair. Pilar asked Theresa where she went wrong with her. Rebecca brought a cop over to Theresa and demanded that he arrest Theresa for attempted murder.

An angry Simone accused her mother of betraying her and her confidence by outing her to TC, and slapped Eve across the face. Simone apologized and explained her feelings and frustrations. Eve reached out to her daughter, and offered to help her, but was paged to ICU to treat Ethan. Simone was disappointed. A distraught Jessica felt betrayed by Simone, thinking that Simone was just as bad as Spike and all of her clients, and only wanted her for her body. Jessica experienced a downward emotional spiral, and used a pair of scissors to cut her forearm. Sam came to check on Jessica and stopped her from cutting herself more extensively. Sam tried to explain things from Simone’s point of view, and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Jessica broke down and told her father how confused she is and said she missed her mother. After Sam tucked Jessica into bed and left her room Jessica jumped out of bed and began packing her bag.

Noah demanded that Fancy face the truth that both of them still think about each other despite their breakup. Sam and Ivy observed from the sidelines, hoping that they were able to bring their children back together. Noah asked for Fancy’s help to salvage their relationship. Fancy entertained the notion in her mind, until she remembered a phone conversation she overheard in which Noah told a friend there are no women of interest to him in Harmony. Fancy became angry when she realized that Sam and Ivy had sent Noah to her to try to work things out.

At the hospital, Gwen ordered the police officer to arrest Theresa for attempted murder and vowed to not rest until Theresa was in prison for life — if not worse — if Ethan dies. Theresa maintained her innocence, and insisted she was never out to hurt anyone. Julian pulled Theresa aside and coached her to keep her mouth shut and exercise restraint to prevent incriminating herself. Rebecca dropped a bombshell on a disbelieving Julian: Theresa got her poison from Eve. Ethan went into convulsions. After treating and stabilizing him, Eve cautioned that his prognosis was guarded and that they would try treating him with a medication to counteract the poison’s effects. Theresa tearfully prayed to God for help in saving Ethan. Sheridan offered to accompany Chris and James into the Witness Protection Program, despite the FBI agent’s warnings. Chris said no, and said it was too big of a sacrifice for her to make. Chris professed his love to Sheridan.

On the wharf Paloma and Roberto were stopped by a cop, worried that they were going to get busted for their drug running. The office recognized Paloma and offered his condolences about Luis. Paloma thanked him. After the cop left Roberto and Paloma resolved to end their drug smuggling operations before their luck runs out. Paloma ran into an upset Simone on the wharf. Paloma insisted that Simone tell her what’s wrong because they’re friends, so Simone came out to her. Paloma offered her acceptance, and the two friends bonded. Simone then told Paloma about the murder of Jessica’s latest john. Paloma and Simone ran into Jessica on the wharf. Jessica told Simone she hated her and warned her to never come near her again.

An irate TC outed Simone to Jessica, and accused his daughter of trying to bed Sam's little girl. TC suggested praying to "get rid of" Simone's homosexuality. Jessica was hurt that Simone didn't tell her she's gay. Simone defended herself, saying she would never force her sexuality on someone else. She couldn't believe Jessica didn't believe she wasn't hitting on her. "Just because my love life isn't the norm doesn't make me a criminal or make it wrong," Simone blasted. Jessica said she didn't care that Simone is gay, but she is upset that she kept it from her, then asked her pal to leave. A crying Simone ran out after her dad told her how disappointed he is. TC apologized to Jess, who reiterated that Simone's sexual preference doesn't bother her; it was that she kept it from her. TC truly believed Simone wanted to be more than friends with Jess. Once the coach left, Jessica threw a framed photo of her and Simone against the wall.

While preparing apples to give out to the trick or treaters, Sam and Ivy were happy to see Noah and Fancy talking outside of the Bennett house, but soon realized the couple was fighting. Sam and Ivy separately talked to their children about working things out so they don't miss out on true love. Noah decided to give Fancy another chance, while Fancy didn't think he's interested anymore. Sam and Ivy watched through the window as Noah approached Fancy. Noah told her he wanted to talk about their future.

In the Crane living room, Rebecca talked Gwen into keeping quiet about Theresa putting poison in Alistair's guacamole. In the library, a panicked Theresa told Al to call the ambulance to help the unconscious Ethan. Alistair loved the irony of Theresa's attempted murder possibly killing the love of her life instead. Theresa called 911. Rebecca and Gwen walked in, acting surprised that Alistair was dead. They got a shock to learn that it was Ethan who Theresa was giving CPR to, and Alistair was live and well. Gwen yelled at Theresa to get off of Ethan. The rescue team arrived. Alistair announced that Theresa put pills in the food. Gwen told her rival that she will kill her if her husband dies. The paramedics continued to work on Ethan while they take him to the hospital. Theresa changed and headed to the hospital. When Ethan, Rebecca, Gwen and the paramedics arrived, Eve came to the conclusion Theresa had something to do with Ethan's condition. Becks realized Eve gave Theresa the drugs. Gwen and Rebecca told a police officer to arrest Theresa.

In the emergency room, Sheridan and Chris were thrilled to hear that Eve saved James's life. An FBI agent showed up to take Chris and James. Two cops arrived to question Chris and Sheridan about the accident. Sheridan overheard the agent ask Chris if he skipped the Witness Protection Program in order to see Sheridan. "I can't be away from her for one more day," Chris admitted. The agent told Chris that he put Sheridan back into harm's way when he returned to Harmony. Dr. Russell informed Chris that this boy is expected to have a full recovery, then walked away. Sheridan told Chris that she will go away with him.

Simone stormed into her mother's office and slapped her. She yelled at Eve for revealing her secret.
