At the hospital Ivy blamed herself for Ethan’s condition, feeling guilty that she allowed Theresa to fly under her radar for so long, while Fox and Kay talked to Ethan in attempt to rouse him. Sam consoled Ivy and tried to assuage her guilt where their son’s condition was concerned. Sam expressed enthusiasm at the prospect that their children might follow in their footsteps and get married some day, as well. Ivy feigned approval as Tabitha eavesdropped on their conversation via her magic bowl of rainwater.

Kay thanked Ivy for burying the hatchet, and expressed her concern that someone is trying to sabotage her at Crane Industries. Kay conceded that at first she suspected Ivy was the culprit but has since realized that’s not the case. Kay realized that the saboteur had to be somebody who had access to her office computer. As Kay and Fox grew closer the Mystery woman approached Kay and chatted her up. The mystery woman advised Kay not to ever give up on her love for Fox. The mystery woman said she learned from her own personal experience how destructive it can be if you give up on your true love. The mystery woman introduced herself to Fox when he returned.

On the beach, Sheridan embraced and kissed who she thought was Luis, but turned out to be Chris. Chris consoled Sheridan on the beach as she emotionally regrouped from Beth’s phone call. An understanding and sympathetic Chris urged Sheridan to give herself a break and not be so hard on herself. The two huddled on the beach and talked in front a roaring fire. After he put out the fire the two kissed.

Noah and Fancy kissed, flirted and chatted in the bubble bath in Esme’s hotel room. Fancy confronted Noah about what she overheard him say to his friend on the phone, that all the women in Harmony are zeros. Noah explained away the misunderstanding, and as the two reconnected they vowed not to let outsiders from either side get in the way any more. They tried to figure out where their relationship goes from here, but decided to live in the moment and began to kiss passionately in the tub.

Distraught from her phone call from Beth, Sheridan ran off to the beach, where Luis appeared to her in a vision. Luis told Sheridan he loved her more than words can say, and told her not to feel guilty about the mean things she said to him before he left to search for Marty and Beth. Sheridan told him Beth called her a whore for going out with someone else, and Sheridan apologized and told Luis she loves him. The two embraced on the beach. Luis told her she needs to forgive herself and move on with a new chapter in her life. Luis reassured her that their love has endured centuries, and that they will be together again in the next lifetime. Luis bid Sheridan well in the remainder of her current life, and walked away. Sheridan cried out for him to return to her. She felt a hand on her shoulder, looked up and hugged who she thought was Luis.

Esme got drunk while chatting up Noah and Fancy in her hotel room. Noah politely reminded her he is still on the clock and the meter is running. Esme asked Noah to draw her a bubble bath. Privately Fancy berated Esme for hiring a gigolo and Noah for being one before leaving. Noah massaged Esme while she luxuriated in her bubble bath. Esme got a call on her cell phone from Lord Sarni, who told her that his mother — the one obstacle in their relationship — is dead, and asked her to fly to England ASAP to marry him. An ecstatic Esme scurried to pack her bags and head to the airport — unaware that Lord Sarni was really Fancy disguising her voice. Fancy returned to Esme’s hotel room to find Noah counting his money in the bubble bath. When Fancy revealed that she was Lord Sarni, Noah pulled her into a kiss — and into the bubble bath with him.

Theresa turned to Alistair for help in stopping Gwen from pulling the plug on Ethan. Alistair listened to Theresa plead her case, and reminded Theresa that a living will is a serious document and that it’s Gwen’s prerogative to exercise it. Theresa stroked Alistair’s ego by declaring that he has the power to circumvent both Gwen and the living will. Alistair then telephoned the hospital, and instructed an administrator to see to it that Ethan’s living will is executed properly the moment Gwen decides to do so. Theresa went ballistic, grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened Alistair to call the hospital back and reverse his instructions. Alistair laughed her off, and reminded her that he’s the reason she’s still walking free and not in jail for trying to poison him. As Alistair and Theresa exchanged threats, the mystery woman stabbed a photo of Alistair elsewhere.

Beth called the B&B and left a message for Sheridan with an unwitting Roberto. At the Seascape, Sheridan’s intuition kicked in and she continued to feel anxiety over leaving James at home with Beth still on the loose. Chris tried to calm her nerves. Sheridan received an urgent phone call at the restaurant. Sheridan feared the worst, and assumed it was Paloma or Roberto calling about James. When Sheridan answered the phone she was horrified to hear Beth on the other line. Beth taunted her for being so quick to move on after Luis’ death, and asked Sheridan “What kind of whore are you?” Sheridan demanded that Beth return her son to her. Chris called his FBI contacts to try to get the call traced while Sheridan kept Beth on the line. Beth accused Sheridan of being the one ultimately responsible for Luis’s death. Sheridan offered Beth anything she wanted if she returned Marty safely to her. Esme continued to fawn and drool pathetically over Noah while Fancy silently seethed. Esme pressured Fancy to dance with Noah. Fancy and Noah bickered as they danced. Fancy called Noah a gigolo. Noah said he would gladly quit his escort job — if Fancy wanted him to.

Theresa burst into the Bennetts and cried for Sam and Ivy to come to the hospital to help her prevent Gwen from killing Ethan. Sam and Ivy chased Theresa to the hospital where Theresa made a scene in Ethan’s hospital room, demanding that Gwen spare his life. Eve tried to calm everyone down by saying that until the latest set of test results come in the living will hasn’t even come into play yet. Sam asked Gwen if she was going to pull the plug on his son if it came down to it — an exasperated Gwen insisted she was just carrying out Ethan’s wishes. Ivy broke down at the sight of Ethan’s living will. Fox and Kay entered the fray just as Gwen and Theresa faced off again. Gwen pulled Ivy aside and told her she didn’t want to do this, but needed to respect what Ethan wanted. Gwen advised Ivy to make sure that Fox doesn’t get involved with the “wrong woman” as well, or it might be lethal. When Theresa threatened to leave ICU Gwen called hospital security, who forcibly removed a kicking-and-screaming Theresa as everyone looked on.

At the Blue Note, TC drowned his sorrows in a few drinks while Liz tried to cozy up to him and make amends. TC rebuffed her advances, and declared that the two of them won’t ever work out. When Liz wouldn’t take no for an answer, a disgusted TC left to find another bar so he could drink in peace. Liz seethed with jealousy over Eve, at the thought that both Julian and TC remained hung up on her. Julian entered the Blue Note next for a round of drinks, much to Liz’s dismay. When Julian asked Liz what ruined her life and made her so bitter, she surprised Julian by saying HE did. When he pressed for details, Liz stunned Julian by declaring that he was the reason she needed to have surgery that would prevent her from ever having children.

In the cartoon, Prince Fox looked on in horror as Dragon Ivy dropped Princess Kay into the canyon. When Kay reached the bottom of the canyon, she, Fox, Tabitha and Endora popped back into the real world, at Tabitha’s house. Ivy called and asked Fox and Kay to come over to the Bennetts so she could deliver the good news of her engagement to Sam. Fox congratulated Ivy and Sam on the news, while Kay was less than thrilled. Privately, Kay scolded Ivy, reminding her that her marriage to Sam won’t be legal because he’s still legally married to Grace. Ivy said that the marriage would be “legal enough for her,” and extended an olive branch to Kay, offering the chance to have a fresh start together. Kay rejected her peace offering, and threatened to out her scam to Sam any time she wants. Ivy insisted she wants a truce for everyone’s sake and happiness. Kay reluctantly agreed, and the two hugged as Sam and Fox looked on, pleasantly surprised. Ivy made good on her end of the bargain by putting in a good word for Kay with Fox. The four toasted their future with champagne.

Theresa begged Gwen to reconsider and tear up Ethan’s living will. Gwen refused, and insisted she must carry out Ethan’s wishes, and accused Theresa of only and always thinking about herself. Gwen said the reason Ethan never married Theresa is because he saw her for who she really is: a selfish, empty-headed tramp. Theresa vowed to find a way stop Gwen, and Gwen threw her out of her room. Gwen asked for God’s help in making Ethan better so she wouldn’t have to take her husband off of life support.

Sheridan changed her mind and decided to go out on a date with Chris after all, but not before bugging the hell out of babysitters Paloma and Roberto on every single aspect of taking care of James. Fancy fretted from the sidelines while Esme enjoyed her pay-by-the-hour dinner “date” with Noah. Fancy confided her disgust to Sheridan and Sheridan and Chris bumped into them at the Seascape. Sheridan told Fancy to give Noah a break. Sheridan and Chris danced, but Sheridan still couldn’t stop worrying about James. At the B&B Roberto took a call for Sheridan — from Beth!

In the cartoon, Fox rushed to save Kay from Dragon Ivy, who caught Kay held her in her clutches, and prepared to drop her into the valley of eternal hell fire. Kay begged Dragon Ivy for mercy. Fox confronted the dragon, only to learn it’s his mother. Dragon Ivy warned Fox he’d have to kill his own mother to be with Kay. When Fox challenged Ivy, she seemingly backed down, pretending that she was just teasing to test Fox’s loyalty and love toward Kay. When Fox commanded his mother to release Kay, Dragon Ivy dropped her into the valley of eternal hell fire.

Fancy called Noah on his hypocrisy for suddenly deciding to work for Crane Industries after all. Noah accused Fancy of still caring for him. Esme insisted the three of them have dinner, and afterwards Esme would hire him as a full-service escort. Privately Fancy accused Noah of being a gigolo, and said the only reason he’s willing to hang out with Esme is because she’s rich. Noah said he’d gladly hang out with Esme regardless because he likes her and likes to feel appreciated.

Sam and Ivy excitedly discussed their impending nuptials. Ivy professed that Sam’s love has made her end her materialistic ways. Sam wondered how his children would react to the news. Ivy expressed hope that Ethan would recover and be able to walk her down the aisle. Theresa confronted Gwen about Gwen’s plans for Ethan should he not wake up. Gwen told her she intends to carry out her husband’s wishes, if necessary. Theresa accused Gwen of being a hypocrite and being willing to do the same thing she accused Theresa of: Killing Ethan. Gwen blamed Theresa for all of Gwen and Ethan’s troubles and heartache, and accused her of being an obsessive psychopath. Theresa insisted that Ethan would not want the plug pulled. Gwen declared that she and Ethan had a long talk about this scenario after what happened to Terri Schiavo, and Gwen reported that Ethan decided he wouldn’t want to be kept alive on machines if he ended up in a similar situation. Gwen declared that if the new tests Eve ran came back with the same results then she would carry out Ethan’s wishes. Gwen finally found Ethan’s living will, and it verified what Gwen had said. Theresa made Gwen take a time-out when she tried to reason with Gwen why it would be best to ignore Ethan’s living will or just tear it up. Theresa’s words left Gwen silently contemplating everything....

Sheridan admitted to Chris that she’s having trouble moving on and going out on a dinner date with him so soon after losing Luis and with her own son still missing. More importantly, Sheridan said she was worried about leaving James home alone after what happened to her own child. Chris reassured her that James is safe and no one is after him. Sheridan admitted that her fears are irrational but said that she still won’t go out with him tonight and if he can’t understand then too bad. Chris said he understood. Sheridan apologized for ruining the evening Chris had planned, and thanked him for trying to help her get out of her own mind for an evening and feel happy again.
