Sheridan asked Chris to help her remove her cold, wet clothing. Chris promised to close his eyes when he helped her. After she changed Chris put her to bed and gave her tea. Sheridan asked him to join her in bed and warm her up. Chris gently kissed Sheridan’s hand, as Sheridan said the night has turned from awful to wonderful. Sheridan said she now feels reborn and hopeful. The two kissed passionately.

Kay pressed Tabitha to conjure a spell to reunite her with Fox. Tabitha admonished her to accept the consequences of her actions and move on. Kay said she can’t move on without Fox, and insisted that Tabitha could at least try to undo the spell. In desperation Kay blackmailed Tabitha into at least trying to cast the love spell. Tabitha reluctantly consulted her spell book and gathered the necessary ingredients.

At the Crane Cabin, the police decided to move ahead and search the rest of the cabin. When the first officer started to open the bedroom door, Fancy threatened to have Crane Industries’ legal department go after their jobs and them fired. The cops stopped in their tracks and left with their tails between their legs. A stunned Noah asked Fancy why she went out on a limb to protect him and Theresa. Fancy broke down and recalled a childhood memory in which she felt worthless, unimportant and unloved when she returned home from boarding school, and found herself in a distraught state. She said the one person who changed all that and made her feel welcome and loved was Ethan. Because he helped her get through that Christmas, she felt the least she could do is help him get through this Christmas. When Theresa approached her to thank her, Fancy slapped Theresa across the face and said she still holds Theresa responsible for Ethan being in a coma in the first place. Outside the cops continued to argue over whether something is amiss in the cabin. The suspicious cop noted the slashed tires on Fancy’s car, and tire tracks from a large vehicle. The one cop refused to get involved while the second cop remained determined to investigate further.

Sam and Ivy enjoyed each other’s company and reveled in their romance. A forlorn Fox dropped by to talk to Ivy about his relationship woes with Kay. Fox asked a reluctant Ivy if she would go to bat for him with Kay. Ivy suggested that maybe Kay’s decision to break up has to do with something else, and said politely suggested that maybe it was best if he just forgot about Kay and moved on.

At the Harmony Christmas fair, Kay berated Tabitha for the negative effects her spell is having on her relationship with Fox. Kay begged Tabitha to reverse the spell but Tabitha insisted that was not possible. Sheridan spent quality time with Chris and James, and the three prepared to go ice skating together. After James took a tiny tumble, Chris took him off the ice to go rest and encouraged Sheridan to keep skating. Kay watched in horror as Tabitha cast a spell to crack the ice around Sheridan, who fell through the hole and into the frozen pond. Chris left James with Tabitha and immediately came to Sheridan’s rescue. When Tabitha saw the ice was cracking too much and might cause Chris to fall into the pond as well she used her powers to fix the ice from breaking further. Chris successfully rescued Sheridan. Spike ordered Jessica to come with him, but Jessica refused. Spike tried to console her and offered her some drugs to make her feel better.

Spike watched from the sidelines while the girl gang he hired taunted Simone and Jessica. The one girl falsely accused Simone of groping her. TC intervened and took the girls’ side over his own daughter, and accused Simone of hitting on the girl. As tensions escalated between Simone and the girls, Eve and Julian arrived. Eve believed Simone, which provoked TC. He said he’s not surprised his lying whore of an ex-wife would believe his deviant daughter. Liz slithered in and added her own two cents to the argument. Spike encouraged the girls to up the ante, so one of them pulled a knife on Simone. After verbally trashing his family TC snapped into protective papa bear mode and threatened to kill the girls if they touched Simone. TC blocked the girl’s advance as she tried to stab Simone and ended up cutting Julian in the melee. When Simone tried to thank her father for saving her TC angrily rejected her. Eve and Julian tried to shame TC into being more open-minded, but he dismissed his entire family for being a bunch of immoral sinners and angrily walked away.

At the Crane Cabin, Fancy spent some private time talking to Ethan. Outside, the cops drew their guns on Noah when they spotted a second vehicle hidden behind the bushes after he claimed he was there alone. Fancy came out of the bedroom and identified herself as Noah’s girlfriend. At first the cops backed down when they learned she was Fancy Crane, but then they said Alistair always notifies them when someone is going to use the cabin. Fancy covered by saying Alistair doesn’t approve of her relationship with Noah and offered to bribe the cops. One cop insisted he heard some inexplicable noise coming from either the closet (where Theresa was hiding) or the bedroom (where Ethan remained on a respirator). Fancy threw herself in front of the cops and threatened to tell Alistair about their actions if they took another step. Fancy’s actions to protect them quietly stunned a grateful Noah and Theresa. The cops backed off and huddled in consultation, debating whether to leave or search the rest of the cabin....

Tabitha and Endora strolled up to the snow-covered park. Tabs warned her daughter about how mean mortals can be. The witchlet made a Christmas tree appear.

Back on the streets, Jess told Spike she shouldn't have left home. Simone walked up and tried to convince Jessica to get out of the cold. Jess stood up to Spike, who tried to prevent her from leaving. Simone sprayed the pimp with mace, then she and Jess left and shared coffee at the park. Simone and Jessica bonded. Three girls harassed them for being a lesbian and hooker, respectively. Spike stumbled into the park and handed some tough girls money.

At the Crane cabin, Theresa continued to care for Ethan and tried to encourage him to wake up. In the living room, Fancy and Noah made love by the fire. A spark sent their blanket ablaze. Scratch that; it was just Fancy's nightmare. She woke up and embraced Noah until she remembered she's mad at him. Fancy and Noah bickered. She said he broke her heart by lying to her. Theresa confessed to unplugging Fancy's cell phone charger. When Fancy walked out the door, Theresa panicked, then ran out to stop her. Fancy accused Theresa and Noah of slashing her spare tire, but they didn't do it. The Mystery Woman watched from behind a tree. Once Fancy, Theresa and Noah went back inside, Noah wondered if someone else was around. The Mystery Woman hid when Fancy opened the door. While Fancy was saying her good-byes to Ethan, cops arrived. Theresa hid in the closet while Noah answered the door. Noah covered for Theresa. In the bedroom, a weeping Fancy recalled memories with Ethan.

Sheridan comforted Gwen over the phone, then joined Chris and James, who headed to see Santa at the park. There, they ran into Endora and Tabitha. Endora and James talked to each other via speech bubbles; he showed her where Santa was sitting. Endora flew and fell into St. Nick's lap. Endora then made a hat appear on James's head. Tabitha told her daughter to stop using her powers. After hearing a family talk about how poor they were, Endora fixed a contest so they won ice skates. When Santa asked James what he wants for Christmas, the boy said, "Mommy," and pointed to Sheridan. Sher admired the photo they took with Santa.

Chris became concerned by Sheridan’s continued uneasiness with him and their relationship, and offered to take James and leave her life if it would be better for her. Sheridan pleaded with Chris to remain and apologized for her inability to move on from Luis. Chris said he totally understood the pain she was going through and never meant to put pressure on her. Chris broke the tension with his humor and the two slow-danced. In her mind Sheridan privately struggled to move on in her heart.

At the Crane Cabin, Theresa tearfully pleaded with Ethan to summon the will to waken from his coma before Gwen arrives and pulls the plug on him. Theresa broke down and apologized to God for putting Ethan into the coma. Theresa became excited when she thought she felt Ethan’s hand move, but was disappointed to realize it was just gravity causing his hand to slip off of his leg. Noah tried to justify his actions with Fancy, who squarely blamed Theresa for what happened to Ethan. Fancy was aghast that Noah would help and defend Theresa and turn his back on their relationship by lying to Fancy and breaking their trust. Noah said he was taken by Theresa’s hope for Ethan’s recovery, and felt compelled to give Ethan a chance. Noah said Theresa reminded him of Fancy because they’re both romantics. Fancy became incensed at the comparison to Theresa, slapped Noah and told him she she hated him and their relationship is over. Noah begged Fancy for her understanding and forgiveness.

At Crane Industries Kay got into Valerie’s face when Fox went to the store, and accused her of trying to sabotage Kay’s personal and professional relationships with Fox. Valerie denied any wrongdoing when Kay accused her of unleashing the computer virus. Valerie admonished Kay for having no education, business experience or competence. Valerie told Kay to go home and take care of her bastard child and stop messing up Fox’s life. As their argument intensified, Valerie spied Fox in the outer office. Valerie provoked Kay into pointing her finger to Valerie and took a fall pretending that Kay had pushed her and screamed, “Please don’t hit me, Kay,” on cue right as Fox entered the room. When Fox pressed for answers Valerie played it cool which just sent Kay over the edge. When Valerie pulled the gift Fox bought for Kay out of the bag Kay assumed Fox bought it for Valerie and flipped out and declared to Fox that their relationship is over.

Tabitha admonished Kay for not accepting the cost that the spell she asked be cast on Fox is taking on her relationship with him. Tabitha advised Kay to give up on Fox and spare herself a lot of heartache. Kay realized Tabitha was encouraging her to break up with Fox because Tabitha’s spell isn’t working as originally thought and so there is now hope after all that Kay and Fox can remain together. Kay subsequently deduces that Valerie is the instrument by which the spell is going to try to break up her and Fox. Kay used Tabitha’s magic bowl of water to see into the future and was aghast to see Valerie and Fox making out.

At Crane Industries, Fox and Valerie were stunned by the realization that their efforts to save the Singapore project failed. Fox made a frantic call and offered to forfeit his commission in the transaction in order the save the deal, which shocked Valerie. A cheesy musical montage of Valerie and Fox ensued, depicting the two of them successfully working to get every one of the Singapore project’s initial investors back on board. As Fox went to call Kay with the good news Valerie continued to sow seeds of doubt in Fox’s mind about his relationship with Kay. Valerie cleverly played on Fox’s sympathies and drew him closer to her.

Sam and Ivy commiserated over their shared loss of Ethan and the problems they’re having with their respective children. Their conversation bonded them and brought them closer together, and they began to make passionate love, with Ivy asking Sam to take her away from all their troubles. At the Crane Cabin. Noah and Theresa worked feverishly to resuscitate Ethan while a horrified Fancy threatened to summon Gwen and the Mystery Woman observed from outside through the window. Noah successfully revived Ethan. Despite Theresa’s pleas Fancy called her a scheming selfish tramp and vowed to call Gwen and give her Ethan’s location. When Noah tried to intercede Fancy accused him of putting her in this situation by not being honest with her and breaking their promise to be up front about everything. When Ethan flatlined again Noah and Theresa raced to save him while Fancy prepared to finally call Gwen. Outside a knife-wielding Mystery Woman declared she can’t allow Fancy to make that call. After reviving Ethan again Noah lamented to Theresa how it’s all going to end up being for naught anyway since Gwen will undoubtedly have the plug pulled once she reclaims Ethan, and how this escapade has probably cost him his relationship with Fancy. In the other room, Fancy started to make the phone call to Gwen but the Mystery Woman cut the phone lines outside. When Theresa refused to give Fancy her cell phone Fancy threatened to drive to the nearest pay phone. But the Mystery Woman intervened and slashed her car tires. Fancy blamed Theresa, who said it must be Ethan’s guardian angel. Fancy asked for Noah’s keys, only to discover his tires were flat as well. Fancy reluctantly agreed to go back inside and recharge her cell phone while waiting out the storm. An angry Fancy broke down and declared to Noah that nothing her could say or do would make up for his actions with Theresa. Theresa prayed to God to keep Ethan alive a little while longer.
