PASSIONS Recaps Week Of Feb. 6, 2006Friday, February 10, 2006 At the hospital, a frantic Noah caught Eve up on Fancy's condition and begged her to help. Ivy cringed when Sam fed her a liverwurst sandwich and talked about Kay and Fox's relationship. Their chat was interrupted when Noah called to tell them about Fancy. When Ivy and Sam rushed to leave, Maya begged them to go with them to the hospital. Ivy, Sam and Maya arrived at the hospital. Noah filled them in on the car wreck, and that Fancy's face has been damaged, especially her eye. Ivy immediately took the blame for not being a good mother. "It was no accident," Maya mumbled. She explained that he is in danger and Fancy is, too. Maya told him to keep quiet about the night in the attic. Noah had to remind Fancy that a car hit her. Kay brought Fox cookies to his office. They smooched until Valerie walked in with her letter of resignation. Kay asked Val about her family when she saw pictures in the box she was packing up. Kay told her not to quit, even though she knows she's been teaming up with Ivy to wreck her relationship with Fox. Kay assured Valerie that she won't expose her to Fox as long as she keeps out of her love life — and away from Ivy. Val claimed she never like Ivy. Fox returned, and heard the good news that Valerie wasn't quitting after all. Kay and Fox talked about whether or not she would be working once they got married. Kay said she would still want to work; Fox said he would stay home. Meanwhile, Ivy called Val, who said she didn't want to get in the middle of Kay and Fox anymore. However, Ivy talked her into still being her spy.
Sheridan was hurt to overhear Chris on a mysterious phone call. She assumed he's involved with Alistair, and not after her best interests. Sher secretly followed Chris to a park. A group of kids showed up, which made Sheridan hopeful that Marty was in the pack. She saw a blonde boy from the back and hugged him, assuming he was her son. The chaperone demanded Sheridan let the boy go. When she saw the kid's face, she apologized. Sher lost track of Chris, went back to the hotel and packed her bags. When she walked out the door, Chris was there. She yelled at him and accused him of working for her father. He pushed her back into the room. She pleaded with Chris not to hurt her. In order to explain his secretive behavior, he got on one knee and proposed.
Thursday, February 9, 2006 Sheridan and Chris discussed their options while getting in some Jacuzzi time. Chris insisted it was worth the bruises he'd gotten if the mob could help them find little Marty, but Sheridan remained uncomfortable with the idea. After a bit of kissing, they got back to the hunt. The Internet looked like a dead end, but then Chris realized Marty must have a doctor in the area. He suggested she pretend she was Beth to get around confidentiality issues. Ultimately, they couldn't find him on file with any of the local doctors listed on the internet, so they decided to take Marty's and Beth's pictures around town. Chris pretended to be too sore and tired to help her, so Sheridan set out without him. Unfortunately for him, Sheridan had forgotten her book and returned just in time to see he'd lied to her. "We have to act now before Sheridan gets wind that something's up," he was saying into the telephone. He was insistent that something must be done today. When he hung up, he gloated about putting one over on her. It sounded fishy indeed. While awaiting Ethan's return to the manse, Gwen told her mom that she and Ethan had more than just sex keeping them together: They had love. "You should let Ethan have it two or three times a day and more on weekends," Rebecca said, adding that a "tired husband doesn't cheat." Gwen insisted she wasn't worried, especially considering she still believed they were moving to New York. Rebecca added some index cards with her sex tricks on them and some sexy lingerie to Gwen's bag. When a self-satisfied smile, Gwen told her mom she knew how to please her man (apparently all it takes is a massage), but Rebecca reminded her, "Theresa has a few tricks of her own." Gwen was not concerned. Rebecca finally said she had to go see her "amazing" new acupuncturist. Gwen begged Rebecca to promise they'd not discuss their sex lives ever again. Rebecca just offered some tips, so Gwen escorted her out. They said their last goodbyes. When left alone, Gwen cooed to Sarah about their future in New York City away from Theresa. Ethan, meanwhile, confronted Theresa about her part in getting his job pulled out from under him. She tried to play dumb, but he let her know he'd found her charm bracelet there. She finally 'fessed up, telling him he would never work anywhere but at her side. "I'm my own man," he cried. "I'm not your puppet, Theresa!" He went on to say that he'd find any job that would take him "away from your sick obsession for me." Theresa brushed that off, saying he was really running from his feelings for her. He refused to get into the "who does Ethan love more" argument and started to storm out, but Theresa promised she'd blackball him so he couldn't work anywhere else. He pointed out that making him "feel impotent and powerless" was not the way to win him back and then compared her to Alistair for "playing God." Their conversation continued in this vein, until Theresa said that if they can't be lovers, they could instead be a great business team. She reminded him of all the things he used to dream about doing with the Crane power, but he responded that he wasn't a Crane. Unswayed, she showed him how she could make his dreams come true — but only if he led the project.
Wednesday, February 8, 2006 Ethan and Gwen got excited about their impending relocation to New York, while Theresa blackmailed Ethan’s would-be new boss, Mr. Grant, into rescinding his offer. Grant’s office called Ethan and asked him to come to the office ASAP. There, Grant broke the news to Ethan that he’s no longer in a position to hire anyone additional. Ethan asked if Crane Industries or Theresa intervened, but Grant lied and said he’s never even met the woman. Grant apologized for putting him through this and said maybe when the economy improves he could reconsider hiring Ethan. On his way out of Grant’s office, Ethan spotted Theresa’s bracelet on the floor, and realized Theresa had put the kibosh on his new job. Ethan called Theresa a bitch to himself. Meanwhile, Theresa returned to Crane Industries and ordered Valerie to get her a latte. Valerie was blindsided to learn that Theresa was now in charge. Theresa ordered Valerie to clean out the office next to Alistair’s to make room for Ethan. Theresa then made herself at home in Alistair’s office and instructed Valerie to find her a decorator to help her redo Alistair’s office. Theresa then extended an olive branch to Valerie, who offered to help her any way she could. Theresa phoned Miguel and told him that she’s now in charge and offered to help Miguel in any way she could. She asked Miguel if he planned to return to Harmony for a visit anytime soon. Theresa had to end her call when an angry Ethan stormed into her office and threw her bracelet at her. At the Bennett’s, Sam was about to check on Maya upstairs when Fox and Kay arrived. Fox asked Sam for his permission to marry Kay. Sam happily said yes, and the three of them celebrated while Ivy privately seethed in the background but feigned happiness for them to their faces. When Fox left and Sam went upstairs to check on Maya, Ivy cornered Kay and threatened to ruin her relationship wih Fox. Kay threatened to retaliate and destroy her relationship with Sam. Both women returned to their corners as their stand-off continued. Upstairs Sam introduced himself to Maya. He asked why she looked familiar. Maya said she’s Sally Chinn’s daughter — the owner of the town’s famous Sally Chinn’s Chinese noodle shop. Sam asked her about her attack, and Maya became anxious from Sam’s probing.
Tuesday, February 7, 2006 Theresa fumed when she found out Ethan was hired at Crane Industries' competitor. Theresa visited Ethan's new boss, Lawrence Grant, and asked him to take back his job offer to Ethan. The business man explained that he is thrilled to be breaking ties with Alistair, and has no intention of letting Ethan go. Theresa threatened the man with her power and said she would not leave until he changed his mind. Grant applauded Theresa's effort, then read her biography. Theresa explained her story in her own words. "You're going to think Alistair is a real pussycat when I'm through with you," she vowed. Theresa pushed Grant's buttons by threatening his life. He finally picked up the phone to call Ethan with the bad news. In Hawaii, Sheridan thought a beaten up Chris was dead, and blamed herself because he called his mob buds in order to help her find Marty. She was thrilled when Chris woke up. He assured her his attack was not her fault. The two began to make love, then went to the hot tub. "You have a glow about you," Chris said. (Hmmm...could it be the pregnant glow from Sheridan's portrayer, McKenzie Westmore?) Fox misunderstood Kay's reasoning for not wanting to get engaged. He thought it was funny that she didn't say yes just because the planets aren't in the correct alignment. Fox was anxious to find out when the right time will be. When Fox heard strange noises coming from the basement, he asked Tabitha why she hasn't gotten a new furnace. Tabs got her astrology book out and told Fox they have to wait a few months to get engaged. Fox grew impatient, but Kay explained that she is superstitious and wants to protect their relationship. Fox suggested he wear her engagement ring on his necklace until she's ready to wear it. Tabby told Fox she had a necklace upstairs that he could borrow. When he went to retrieve it, Tab warned Kay that she's risking their relationship by being engaged.
Monday, February 6, 2006 In Hawaii, Sheridan lamented how the suspicious fire at the tax office destroyed the only tangible lead they had on Marty’s whereabouts. Chris came up with a new idea: he’d tap his old mob connections for help. Sheridan refused and said he couldn’t take such a risk on her behalf. Chris agreed, but behind Sheridan’s back decided to seek the mob’s help anyway. Chris met with his mob connections, who beat him up and left him on Sheridan’s doorstep. While Ethan prepared for their relocation to Manhattan, Gwen confided her concerns to Rebecca that Theresa would find a way to stop them again. Ethan got the ball rolling with the Crane corporate relocation office, but had to return to the mansion to pick up a few remaining things. Ethan threatened to press attempted murder charges against Theresa if she tries to sue for custody of Jane. Theresa found out from Crane security’s intelligence unit that Ethan and Theresa are planning to relocate. Ivy confronted Theresa and refused to let her block Ethan’s move to New York. She asked Theresa why she won’t leave Ethan in peace, and asked Theresa if she loved Ethan so much why would she hurt him by leaking his paternity to the tabloids. Theresa insisted Gwen and Rebecca set her up. Theresa told Ivy she intended to find the proof that Alistair has to exonerate her and incriminate Gwen and Rebecca once and for all. Theresa shocked Ivy by telling her that she agrees with Ivy that Ethan, not Theresa, should be running Crane Industries, and plans to give Ethan carte blanche power once he returns. Ivy began to suspect that Theresa may have been telling the truth about her innocence all along. Ivy paid a visit to Gwen and Rebecca, and asked them for an honest answer about Ethan’s paternity scandal. Gwen and Rebecca continued to deny. Ivy threatened to destroy them if she ever finds out they’re lying. Fancy walked into Noah’s bathroom to find him in the shower with Maya. Noah tried to explain but Fancy ran off crying. Noah took Maya out of the shower and put her to bed and said he had to find Fancy and explain everything. Maya warned Noah against explaining EVERYTHING because of the men who are after her. Noah ran out in the cold, shirtless, to catch up to Fancy, who slapped him and said nothing he could say could explain away what she saw. Noah insisted on explaining anyway, and declared he could never cheat on Fancy and professed his love to her. Fancy said she did not love him and told him to get out of her life. Noah begged to give him a chance to explain things further — inside after he changed into dry clothes. Fancy reluctantly agreed. As he changed his clothes Maya tried to dissuade him from telling Fancy everything. By the time Noah got dressed and returned downstairs Fancy said she had enough and decided to leave. Fancy reconsidered and return to listen to him, provided he tells her everything.
