While Maya complained to Lena about Noah's love for Fancy, the couple in question got busted by an Italian cop for swiping coins from the fountain. Noah launched into a talk about love and the cop went easy on them. That's amore. In the meantime, Lena warned Maya that she'd better break up the couple. Maya argued that he would only give up Fancy temporarily until the FBI can catch Lena. She bemoaned double-crossing Noah. Lena threatened that Noah and Fancy might both die if Maya doesn't lure him away — for good. Meanwhile, Noah was removing Fancy's clothes. Later, as he lay in bed with her, a hand covered his mouth. It was Maya who told him not to wake Fancy up and led him away from the bedroom to lecture him about the dangers of his being with Fancy. She told him that Lena was there in Rome, but he said he wouldn't continue to pretend he loves Maya and not Fancy. She kept at it, and he agreed to slip away. He whispered to a sleeping Fancy that he loved her.
Miguel and Kay got horizontal on the beach next to a campfire. She said she shouldn't be doing this since she's engaged to Fox, but they kept kissing. Fox, meanwhile, was paddling away in a row boat to find Miguel and whoever he was with. Tabitha, spying on the action through her magic bowl, gloated to Endora over the trouble it would cause when Fox found the couple. Endora summoned up some fog so Fox wouldn't see his fiancée in a compromising position. Fox was vexed by the heavy fog and wondered who Miguel was with, he hoped it wasn't Kay.
The mysterious water-loving blonde popped up and called Miguel's name in a dreamy sing-songy voice. Miguel pulled away from Kay when he recognized the mystery girl's voice coming from the water. Kay couldn't hear the voice and they didn't see her. Elsewhere, the blonde reclined on the rocks and was revealed to be — a mermaid!
Tabby, who had just been badmouthing mermaids, spotted the scaly beauty and reprimanded Endora for conjuring her up. She insisted her daughter summon the mermaid to the house and she instantly appeared in a puddle on the kitchen floor. The finned stranger was mystified by the concept of chairs and amazed by her surroundings. "Is this what they call a house?" she marveled. Tabby insulted her intelligence (but isn't fish supposed to be brain food?) and they traded barbs. Learning that she was conjured by Endora, the mermaid thanked the girl for freeing her. She begged Tabby not to send her back to her fable, she wanted to stay in the real world. Tabitha continued to threaten and insult her finned visitor. Tabitha mentioned Miguel, and the girl got even more excited and said that she knew him. A dismissive Tabby summoned her giant cat Fluffy to dinner, fish was on the menu.

In the club, Esme and Gianni were jealous of the smooching Fancy and Noah. Esme convinced the Italian playboy to go back to his date. When he tried to break in on Fancy and Noah's dance, Noah attacked him. The duo attempted to leave, but Esme blocked them. Noah seductively kissed Esme's cheek, and she was so worked up, she let them leave. Then the randy gal hopped back over to Gianni. Noah's wallet was stolen after bumping into two boys on the streets of Rome. The couple sat near a fountain and complained about not having enough money to buy an espresso, so they stole coins from the fountain.
The disguised Whitney continued to pray in a mysterious room of the catacombs until the monk returned. He told Whit she wasn't ready for the mission yet. When he left, the candles blew out. "Evil is here," she realized. Whitney ran out and the mysterious symbol appeared in the room. The monk returned to look for her. He donned a bracelet of the symbol. Back in the outdoors, Whitney was relieved to be out of the caves. She eyed a loving couple (unaware that it was Fancy and Noah) and thought about her happy times with Chad.
Oh look, it's Jessica! It's been a while. Jess and Spike returned to his pimpin' pad after a night on the streets. He wanted to party, but she was too tired. He twisted her arm (literally) into heading back out to catch another customer. When Jess refused to return to work, Spike threatened to turn her in for murdering her johns. Spike told her she would only need to hook for a few more weeks, but she ran out.
A creepy fog guided Fox to a boat, which he rowed out to sea.
The woman's voice continued telling Miguel to "come to her." Still in the boat, Kay was scared. Miguel promised to protect her. "I love you," he said, while looking into her eyes. When they stood up, they fell overboard. Fox heard Kay scream. Miguel and Kay woke up on the shore. Migs gathered logs to start a fire. When he walked away to find something to light it, it lit itself. Tabitha was desperate to stop Fox from finding Kay and Miguel together. She used Spell-B-Gone spray to get rid of the spell to make Fox successful. Tabs then nixed all other spells she cast on Kay and gang. When Endora tried to work her magic to get Fox and Kay together, Tabs informed her that she worked it so Fox will catch Kay and Miguel in the throes of passion. Miguel suggested he and Kay take off their wet clothes so they could get warm. He stripped, then helped Kay get naked. They cuddled chest to chest, and kissed. From the boat, Fox spotted a fire on shore. He then realized Miguel was about to make love to a woman near the fire. "That better not be Kay," he said, while rowing like crazy.
Simone and Paloma prepared for their trip to Rome. Simone ran in and told her friends they have to save her. She cried to them about Spike. "I want to stop selling myself, but I know Spike won't let me," Jessica said. She begged her friends to hide her. Simone and Paloma decided to take Jess to Italy with them. When the girls exited the bedroom, Spike crawled through the window looking for Jess. Spike received a call from the monk, who told him to "come at once."

On the boat, Kay was weirded out by Miguel. He continued to hear the woman's voice guiding him out to sea and was determined to find her. Kay tried to get Miguel to go back to Tabitha's, but he insisted on searching for the blonde who saved him. Kay heard the voice, too. "Strange things have happened before and we're fine," he scoffed. A nervous Kay reminded him that they almost died on several occasions, like when demons took over her house! Hundreds of fluttering, little yellow lights surrounded the duo. Migs assumed they were fireflies. While swatting them away, Kay fell overboard. Back on the boat, Kay was worried when a thick fog appeared.
Chris found Theresa and Ethan hovering over Sheridan, who was passed out on the floor in the Crane library. Theresa told him she fainted due to fear of losing the love of her life since Luis was heading to Rome to find Marty. Sheridan woke up and worried about her baby, but after touching her tummy, she believed everything was okay. Chris asked his wife why she's so worried about Luis. When Ethan escorted Sheridan out of the library, Theresa asked Boothe to say behind. Once alone, Mrs. Crane asked Chris how much money he wants in order for him to leave Sheridan. "Chris, Sheridan and Luis belong together and I'm trying to make the process easier for you," she said coyly. An angry Chris assured Theresa that he is not going to leave his wife. "You can't win, Chris. It's fate," Theresa stated.
In the kitchen, Ethan and Sheridan had a heart-to-heart about being in love with someone, but married to someone else. "Choose the man you truly love and not the one you feel obligated to," Ethan advised. Sheridan asked Ethan if he feels he made the wrong decision by marrying Gwen. She made him realize he's telling her to do exactly what he couldn't.
Fearing for his life being in danger again, Pilar tried to urge Luis not to go on his trip. Luis believed that, with Alistair in a coma, he's safe. She brought her son to church to pray for forgiveness. "You can't break apart what God has brought together," she said, referring to Sheridan and Chris's marriage. Luis, determined to bring Marty back to Sheridan, stormed out. Pilar prayed for God to keep Luis away from evil.
Julian informed Eve, Chad and gang that Whitney is in Rome. They tried to figure out why she would've gone there. Paloma suggested to Simone that Whitney is connected to the mysterious symbol, and that's why she is in Rome. Chad said he was going to search for Whitney in Italy. Eve didn't want him to go alone, but she had to stay in town to work. Simone and Paloma quickly claimed they got accepted to a school program in Rome, so they will go with Chad. Julian told Chad he will take care of Miles while he is away.
Tabitha and Endora watched Kay and Miguel through her magic bowl. Tabs asked her daughter if she was practicing magic behind her back. The blonde cutie cast a spell, causing it to rain on Fox, who was in bed. He woke up, confused and looking for Kay. Tabby caused boxing gloves to appear on Endora's hands to prevent the witchlet from casting more spells. Fox heard Kay calling out for him from outside. He asked Tabitha why Endora was wearing boxing gloves. Fox ran off to find his fiancée. In her kitchen, the yellow lights attacked Tabitha. "I don't believe in fairies," she yelled, then demanded they leave her alone. Through her bowl, she saw that Fox already made his way to the wharf. There, Fox, in a trance, wondered how he got to the wharf.
Coincidentally, Chad was seated next to Luis on the plane to Rome. They told each other why they are headed overseas.

Chad, Paloma and Simone continued to search for Whitney, who went missing from the convent.
Sheridan pushed away from Luis's kiss. She demanded Luis not go to Rome to search for Marty. He accused her of just putting off having to leave Chris. When Sheridan claimed she and Luis will never reunite, Theresa slapped her. Theresa was all worked up about Sheridan turning her back on true love, something Theresa would never do. Theresa gave Luis a credit card to search for Marty. Sheridan reminded Luis that he swore he would never touch Crane money, but he said if it means he will bring Marty back, he will. Sheridan was terrified for Luis's safety, but Theresa told her he needs to go in order to hold on to hope that they will reunite. "Without you, I'm already dead," Luis uttered to Sheridan. Theresa and Ethan wished Luis good luck on his journey, while Sheridan still disapproved of him going. While screaming for Luis not to leave, Sheridan fainted.
Fox asked Kay who, besides Charity, would be Miguel's true love. Kay recalled when Miguel asked her for a second chance. Kay brushed off her fiancé's question by claiming Migs must have been referring to Charity. While Fox went on and on about their love and trust, Kay was holding back.
While Tabitha watched through her bowl, Endora caused the blonde who saved Miguel's life to appear in his room and kiss him. It was a dream, during which the woman told Miguel to come to her. Miguel woke up in a trance and headed out; Kay followed him. At the wharf, Miguel heard the woman's voice. He hopped on a boat. Tabitha watched through her bowl and asked Endora what she was up to. Kay screamed for Miguel to stop and jumped into the boat. "Endora, are you doing this?" Tabby asked.
Julian and Eve enjoyed a romantic evening of dancing and dining while being serenaded. Eve had a premonition that Whitney was in trouble. Julian gave Eve dessert in a box; it was a diamond necklace. "It's too much," she gasped. "Anyone who can put up with me deserves the world," he replied. Chad arrived with Simone and Paloma, and told Julian and Eve that Whitney disappeared from the convent. Jules immediately called someone and insisted they find her. Paloma and Simone whispered about whether or not to tell them about he mysterious symbol; Paloma was insistent that they keep quiet about it. Julian received a call with a lead on Whitney. Julian wondered to himself how Whitney could end up "there." Simone told Paloma she doesn't want to go to Rome until they know Whit is safe. Paloma compromised by saying they can research the mysterious paintings online until they can go to Italy. Julian received another call.
In Rome, a disguised Whitney (meaning she was wearing a wig and creepy blue contacts) was led by the monk through the hallways of a candle-lit cave. It looked like the monk stabbed Whitney, but he was just opening a door with an old stiletto. They walked through the door into another room. The monk said it's impossible for anyone else to be there. The monk opened yet another door and the two walked into a new room. The monk informed her she was to stay there and pray for salvation until the he returned.

Maya was surprised to see Lena in her Roman hotel room. The mysterious woman warned Maya not to let Fancy and Noah reunite. Meanwhile, Fancy and Noah shared a kiss at the nightclub. Fancy pushed him off until he said he loves her. The happy duo kissed and danced.
On Tabitha's couch, Miguel mumbled something about a blonde saving his life. Kay wondered if he was referring to Charity, but Fox said no one was around when they found him on the shore. Once he woke up, Miguel told Kay it wasn't Charity who helped him. Miguel said it was like a miracle how the blonde kissed life back into him. Kay assumed he imagined the woman. Fox helped Miguel upstairs. Tabs accused Kay of being jealous of Miguel's heroine. After Kay tucked Miguel into bed, she headed to her room with Fox. In his sleep, Miguel recalled the underwater kiss.
With Ethan and Theresa's help, Luis discovered Alistair has a bank account in Rome. Sheridan showed up and was excited about Luis's lead. When Theresa and Ethan left to leave Sheridan and Luis to talk, Theresa encouraged her brother not to give up. Luis tried to get through to Sheridan, hoping she will leave Chris. He said she'll change her mind once he brings Marty home. "I am going to remain Mrs. Christopher Boothe," Sheridan assured. She then begged Luis not to go to Rome, fearing Alistair will try to kill him again. She admitted she loves him more than she loves Chris, but still refused to leave her husband. Luis said the thought of living as a family with Sheridan and Marty is what kept him alive when he was being tortured. He said he'll do whatever it takes to get her back, then kissed Sheridan.
In the Crane kitchen, Theresa and Ethan chatted about Sheridan and Luis's situation. Theresa pointed out that no member of her family has ended up with the person they love. She told Ethan he has the power to make the two of them happy. "We will end up together," Theresa asserted before lip-locking Ethan.
