PASSIONS Recaps Week of May 8, 2006

Outside the club, Simone, Paloma and Simone were less-than-thrilled to see their thuggish Roman guides. When the girls attacked them for not teaching them anything about the symbol yet, they pointed out that the symbol was all over the club and that they will learn more over time. The men blindfolded the girls and walked them to a place with a slew of frames and paintings. Simone noticed a painting had the symbol on it. "No one must know the painting is here," one of the goons said, aiming a gun at the girls.

In the candlelit catacomb room with the Monk, Whitney agreed that the only way to overcome her sin of committing incest, either she or Chad must die; she volunteered herself. The Monk stabbed Whit with a fancy knife.

Elsewhere underground, Chad, Luis, Fancy and Noah tried to escape the falling debris. Luis picked a fallen Fancy up and carried her out. The gang made it out alive, but Chad naturally worried about Whitney's safety. Luis asked why Fancy and Noah, who he thought broke up, were together in Rome. Fancy made it clear that she wasn't there with Noah, and thanked Luis for helping her in the catacombs. She tended to Luis's wounds, while ignoring Noah. When Fancy wasn't around, Luis asked Noah what he did to make Fancy so mad. Luis brought up a funny story about Noah, which Bennett humorously explained to Chad. The point of the story: Luis saved Noah's life back then, but Noah feels not even Luis could help him with his Fancy predicament. Sigh. Noah asked Chad if he was sure it was Whitney he saw underground; Chad assured Noah, that even though she was disguised, it was Whitney. Luis told Fancy that Noah is a great guy. She asked him if he's talked to Sheridan since he arrived in Rome. Fancy jokingly suggested making Sheridan jealous by telling her they kissed. Fancy tried to resist her attraction to Luis while wiping off the blood on his abs. Unable to resist, Fancy asked Luis how he kept his body in great shape while he was held captive. Beth and Marty walked right by Luis into a café, but he didn't see them. Beth was also unaware that she was feet away from the man who is after her. Chad went off to find Whit. Noah offered to walk Fancy back to the hotel, but she refused and went to the café to buy Luis a cup of coffee. Fancy noticed Beth's New England accent and they chatted, unaware of each other's identity. They talked about their man problems. After Luis and Noah had a man-to-man chat about going after the women they love, they approached the café and peered through the window at Fancy and her new friend, still unaware that they were spitting distance from Beth!

On the streets of Rome, Chad bumped into the nun from the catacombs and she once again informed him that the innocent one will die, then rambled in Italian. She told Chad he must save Whitney. While taking him to church, he grabbed her heart and said, "The innocent one is dead."

In Harmony, a Crane security guard informed Theresa that Paloma is in danger. She told him to contact Luis about it, but the man told Mrs. Crane that Luis seemed to have disappeared. Shortly after logging onto a laptop, they found out Luis had been located and was seen with Chad. The guard told Theresa that Paloma and Simone aren't in Rome for a school project; they are tracking down stolen paintings — and that Jessica is also involved. Theresa decided to go to Rome.

While sleeping next to Gwen, Ethan had a dream about Theresa. Theresa barged in and told Ethan he needs to go to Rome with her to save Paloma (her sister), Jessica (his half sister) and Simone. (You'd think Gwen would've learned to lock the door by now.) Ethan refused to take off with Theresa.

In the Roman catacombs, Noah told Fancy to go back to up to safety, but she refused to leave him in danger by himself. Through her earpiece, Whitney ignored the Monk's demand to leave Chad in the rubble to die. Noah and Fancy showed up and Whitney told them to help dig out the other person who was trapped from the cave-in. However, they never saw Whit's face. Noah and Fancy quickly realized they uncovered Luis. When the cop woke up, his blurry vision caused him to think Fancy was Sheridan, and he pulled her into a kiss. Luis snapped out of it and apologized when Fancy introduced herself as Sheridan's niece. "What are you two doing in Rome, anyway?" asked the blood and dirt-covered Lopez-Fitzgerald. He asked them if they've seen the nun and started talking about the bloody wall. Noah and Fancy thought he was merely delirious. When Luis mentioned he was down there with Chad, Fancy jumped on the chance to find her half brother. Feet away, Chad came to and Whitney weeped with happiness that he was alive. Chad recognized Whitney, despite her wig and blue contacts. Phew! Thank God — or the Monk — that her voice is still the same or Chad may have never known the identity of his heroine. The Monk told Whit she must leave and continue her mission. She couldn't explain her quick exit to Chad, who screamed for her not to leave. Fancy, Noah and Luis were thrilled to see Chad alive and well. Chad expressed to the gang his concern for Whitney. They all explained what brought them to Rome. The cave started to crumble again, so Fancy, Noah and Luis bolted; Chad stayed to find Whitney. Elsewhere in the catacombs, Whitney met back up with the Monk, who told her Chad must die for their incestuous sin.

At the creepiest nightclub in Rome, Paloma asked a club-goer what the symbol of his tattoo means. Instead of answering her query, the inked guy pushed Paloma to dance. Once again, she asked about the design. The men that brought the girls there approached Paloma and promised they will eventually answer her question — but the threesome must do what the men ask. Simone and Jessica begged Paloma to ditch the club, but she didn't want to leave until they got an answer about the symbol that everyone there was wearing. They tried to sneak out, but the men followed them.

In Tabitha's kitchen, Kay tried to explain her relationship with Miguel to Siren, while also telling the blonde she can't have a baby with him. Kay was stunned to learn that Siren already told Miguel that she wants to have his kid. At the Crane estate, Siren was excited to see the indoor pool. Kay pulled Miguel aside to warn him about the kooky Siren. Migs brushed off Siren's baby-making wish as part of her dry humor. Kay told Miguel to use protection if he has sex with the bombshell. He told her to butt out of his love life. "So Siren is a fish out of water, what's wrong with that?" Migs asked Kay, while noting he likes girls who are different. If he only knew how true that statement is. Miguel assured Kay he wants her to be happy and realizes he was too late to get involved with her. In the pool, Siren literally swam circles around an impressed Fox. Siren asked Fox what his relationship is with Kay. Then, the two raced across the pool. Fox caught a glimpse of Siren's mermaid tail underwater. When Fox took a second look, all he saw were Siren's "gorgeous" legs, which he complimented, then quickly said they weren't as beautiful as his fiancée's stems. Smart move, buster! In private, Kay once again vented to Fox about Siren and Miguel's brewing romance.

Siren bounced up and down on Miguel's bed trying to get him to have sex with her. He told her she should wait until she's married. Siren cried for the first time. "Salty," she noted after tasting a tear. Miguel was totally weirded out by Siren's persistence. "Once you open your mouth and start talking, it's like you're from another planet," he said. Migs brushed off their differences by assuming Siren came from a wealthy family and they are just different. Siren suggested they go swimming in the ocean; he was up for taking a dip in the Crane pool. In the kitchen, Miguel packed a picnic. Siren chowed down on the sardines.

Downstairs in their bed, Kay complained about loud Migs and Siren being inconsiderate. Fox told his fiancée she is jealous of Siren, but she denied it. Kay said she was just bothered because Siren is so odd. Fox asked if he should be jealous of Miguel. She assured Fox she loves him, and just wants Miguel to find a girl who is right for him, not Siren. "What if she's the biggest fake we've ever seen," asked Kay. Kay and Fox ran into Siren and Miguel in the kitchen. Kay took in upon herself to invite herself and Fox to join them at the pool. Miguel privately told Fox that he did not have sex with Siren. Meanwhile, Siren asked Kay how she got Miguel to have a baby with her.

In Rome, Fancy was disgusted by Gianni's advances. He kissed her just in time for Noah to see them. Noah wanted to break them apart, but knew he had to pretend he doesn't care about her. Fancy told the Italian playboy that she still loves Bennett. Noah thought Fancy was into Gianni, even though she was clearly grossed out by him pawing her. Once she spotted Noah following them, Fancy pulled Gianni in for a kiss. Noah pushed Gianni off of Fancy, but she defended the Italian stallion.

Wearing the virtual reality gear, a screaming Whitney ran away from the virtual wolf and fell on top of the rocks and dirt covering Chad and Luis. She woke up, realizing her gear was missing. The "thing with the yellow eyes" was no longer around, and neither was "God." The Monk called out for Whit, who found her broken equipment. She was able to use the ear piece to communicate with the Monk. He instructed her to look for the hidden door she found while in the virtual world. On her way, she stumbled upon two hands in the rubble. "You must leave them to their fate," the Monk said to her, claiming their were sent by evil to distract her. But Whit couldn't imagine leaving two people there to die. Whitney snapped, saying she didn't believe the man was God after all, because if he were, he would want her to save the buried people. Still, he demanded she find the chalice instead. Whit was amazed to see she was uncovering Chad. From above ground, Noah heard a woman (unaware it was Whitney) screaming for help. He asked Gianni to go underground with him. While Gianni ran to get assistance, Noah and Fancy made their way into the catacombs. The nun told Whitney that evil is closer than she thinks. The Monk donned a bracelet with the mysterious symbol.

While working at her office in the middle of the night, Gwen looked at her family photo, which magically morphed into a talking picture of Theresa with Ethan and Jane. Gwen rushed home to her husband. She walked in to find Ethan and Theresa sleeping next to each other in her bed. She dumped a pitcher of water on them. "Get out of my bed, you slut," she snapped. Gwen blamed Theresa for crawling into bed with her sleeping hubby. "I know that this is 100 percent you and zero percent Ethan. Get your bony little ass out of here," Gwen continued. The fighting woke up Jane. Gwen took her away to get her back to sleep. "Sorry," Ethan said to Theresa, who reminded him that he really loves her. Theresa's you-married-Gwen-out-of-guilt speech yielded the same response as always.

Kay woke up and spied Siren tip-toeing to Miguel's room. While dreaming of making love to Kay, Miguel kissed Siren. He woke up and was surprised to see who he was smooching. In order to make Siren happy, Miguel busted out his laptop and offered to cancel her credit cards so her boyfriend (who she made up) won't use them. She didn't know what the Internet was.... and was just clueless all the way around. Miguel thought her naivete was endearing. When he suggested they go to sleep, Siren said she wanted to make a baby. Fox caught Kay in the hallway and brought her back to their room to have sex. Afterwards, they chatted about Siren and Miguel.

In the catacombs, Chad and Luis asked the nun where the blood on the walls came from. They heard Whitney scream again. The nun said it may be too late. The men broke through to another room and found a painting on the wall. The nun informs them it's a thousand year old fresco. When Chad took a closer look, he noticed Whitney in the painting. The nun agreed that she is "the one." Luis suspected the fresco is linked to why Whit is in Rome. The nun warned Chad and Luis not to continue searching for Whitney, but they went anyway. The catacombs began crumbling in on the guys.

Whitney recalled being attacked by a wolf while wearing the virtual reality gear, and couldn't understand how her arm was really bitten. In the midst of asking the monk how it was possible, she passed out. When she woke up, the monk demanded she describe everything she saw while in virtual reality. He brushed off the bite as one of those things you can't explain. She begged him to let her quit the mission. He handed her the gear. "I'm not going back in there," she replied. The monk encouraged her to continue. With the gear back on, Whitney walked down the virtual stairs again. She walked into a tunnel and squealed. "I felt something," she announced. The monk talked her into searching for the chalice in the dark. The orange animal eyes glowed behind her. "It's a dead end," Whitney said to the monk, who suggested there must be a secret entrance into the Pope's chamber. She realized the wall was hollow. The wolf attacked her again.

While Tabitha worried out loud that someone will find out the truth about Siren, Kay and Fox walked in. The witch covered by saying the truth was that Siren has feelings for Miguel. Still taking a bath, Siren urged Migs to join her. Though he was already half-naked, he resisted. "We just met," he explained. She stood up, revealing her bubble-covered curves. Still, the moral hunk turned her down. Outside the bathroom door, Miguel kicked himself for not going for it. "She's so beautiful, she can't be human," he sighed. Miguel, Fox and Kay prepared to watch a movie. A robe-donning Siren was anxious to seduce Migs, but Tabs stopped her from putting on a show. Tabby quietly suggested to the mermaid that Miguel might not even want to make love to her. Fluffy growled, which spooked Siren. "Keep it away! Don't let it hurt me," she cried. Tabitha shushed her cat. Kay deduced that Fluffy must be after Siren because she still smells like fish, partially thanks to using fish-scented bath salts. Ew! Tabs asked the boys to change her pet's litter box. The men returned wearing protective gear. In private, Tabs asked Kay if she's jealous of Siren; she said no. Kay glared as Siren locked Miguel's lips.

In Rome, Simone, Paloma and Jessica were questioned by three thugs. Simone held a picture of the mysterious symbol, while Jess (who realized it was the same sign as her tattoo) questioned her friends about what was really going on. When the men asked to see her ink, Jessica shrugged, "Please, like showing my body is a big deal." Simone and Paloma then filled Jess in on their treasure hunt. The detective duo told the ex-hooker that the tattoo Spike made her get must have a connection to the priceless paintings and Whitney's whereabouts. The men assured the girls they will give them the information they need. Simone left a note for Chad and Luis with a hotel worker, then the girls walked away with one of the thugs. One of his associates retrieved the note and threw it on the ground. The men brought the three girls to a club where everyone was wearing the symbol on their arms.

With the virtual reality gear on, Whitney continued "walking" thought the Vatican. In the catacombs, the monk demanded she tell him everything she saw. The sound of an animal's growl followed Whit, who eventually fell down virtual stairs. Whitney told the monk that someone, or something, pushed her. He urged her to get up and find the chalice. Whitney ran from an animal.

The woman who opened the door shooed Chad and Luis away, claiming they were in the wrong place. After walking a few feet away, Chad told Luis he was sure the woman's door with the symbol on it was the door he opened when he fell to the catacombs. Once alone, the woman received a call. Luis found a grate that he believed could lead to the catacombs. Chad went down the hole, followed by Luis. Chad spotted the symbol on the underground wall. Chad began to lead Luis through the creepy catacombs until they spotted the glowing eyes of an animal or two ... or three. Wolves surrounded the men. Luis quickly lit a fire to keep the hungry predators away. Chad unintentionally lowered a gate that saved the men from the wolves. "It's like Indiana Jones down here," Luis smirked. Chad heard Whitney scream. While looking for her, a nun asked them if they are looking for "the innocent one." The Sister explained the woman she's referring to is being used and must be stopped. "There is no stopping her. We're all doomed," she said. Meanwhile, Whitney was attacked by a wolf. The monk took off a kicking and screaming Whitney's virtual reality gear. She screamed when she realized her bloody arm was covered in bite marks. With Chad and Luis, the nun saw blood on the wall and announced the innocent one will die.
