PASSIONS Recaps Week of May 22, 2006

Talking to himself in Rome, Ethan focused on tracking down J.T. Little did he know the tabloid editor was in his apartment with Theresa, who was unaware of who he is. J.T. served her a strong drink.... Back in Harmony, Rebecca and Gwen feared J.T. would expose their tabloid leak. Gwen was even more upset when she found some of Rebecca's sex toys including furry handcuffs. Rebecca showed her daughter a photo of herself with J.T. in bed. Oddly enough, he had that same photo displayed in a frame. Theresa nearly saw it, but it got knocked from its perch. Theresa asked her host for a napkin and poured out her drink when he was gone. After he returned, she pretended to have downed the libation. He boasted of how he once broke a story comparable to Watergate and the Iran-Contra Affair, he called his story "Paternitygate". Theresa's face revealed that she recognized the tale. When a drunken J.T. left the room again, Theresa overheard an answering machine message from Rebecca. Theresa picked up the phone and asked Rebecca why she was calling "Joe".

In a giddy mood, Simone, Paloma and Jessica tossed coins in a fountain, and took a carriage ride around Rome. Little did they know they were being watched by someone in a monk's outfit.... Lena and Noah squabbled over his assignment to find the man who killed her partner. A hidden Spike eavesdropped from the closet as Noah suddenly remembered that the killer had a tattoo on his wrist — the same one as his sister. After Noah departed, Spike emerged from the closet. Lena warned him to steer clear of Noah, but he retorted that the monk had instructed him to kill Noah, and that's what he was going to do. Later on, Spike watched Simone, Paloma and Jessica. When the other girls' backs were turned, Spike grabbed Jessica and placed his hand over her mouth..

Sheridan gazed at a photo of Luis and said to herself how much she missed him. Luis was in an Italian nightclub, trading banter with Fancy. She said she didn't want to discuss Noah, and that if Luis brought up his name, he'd owe her a Euro. As they shared a friendly hug, Beth spied them and pulled a letter opener from her purse. When Luis went to fetch a drink for Fancy, she accepted an offer to dance with another man. Luis muttered to himself about her risky ways and the danger they are in. Meanwhile, Beth continued to stalk the duo, stroke her weapon and mumble about the "blond bitch" and "slut" trying to make Luis jealous. The lurker went on to murmur that some women need to be "taught a lesson". (Someone is so foiling her chances of winning the Feminist of the Year Award. Just saying.) When Fancy's dance partner got too grabby, Luis charged over and punched him out. A stunned Fancy asked why Luis hit the guy, and he explained that the man was reaching for something, but it was only his cell phone. Luis and Fancy left the club and argued on their way back to the hotel. She softened when it became clear that Luis just cares about her welfare. On her way to bed, she reminded him to pay her two Euro (for mentioning Noah) and was pleased when he observed that Fancy went the night without bringing up his name. Luis called Sheridan and reported that he lost track of Beth, but would soon return to Sheridan with Marty. In the meantime, Beth, wearing her blonde wig again, crept into a sleeping Fancy's bedroom. She sneaked up on her prey and shoved a pillow over her face.

After being hit, what did Fancy's dance partner call Luis?

In Rome, Luis searched the club for Fancy, who was outside with Beth. Fancy wanted to go back in, but Beth convinced her to go elsewhere. The girls ran off to have fun. Beth, intent on killing the blonde, brought Fancy to Roman ruins.

Theresa introduced Ethan to "Joe." She then left with the man in hopes of making Ethan jealous. Theresa had fun dancing at the club with Joe, unaware that he is actually J.T., the tabloid reporter she's anxious to meet. When Cornell walked away to get drinks, Luis popped up and harassed his sister for not being safe. Then he left to continue his search for Fancy. J.T. returned to Theresa with champagne. Ethan showed up and told Theresa she shouldn't be out and about with a death threat looming. Theresa brushed him off and continued dancing with J.T. to make Winthrop jealous. Ethan received a picture of Cornell on his cell phone. "This can't be J.T. Cornell. This is the same guy Theresa is dancing with," he said to himself. Ethan's attempt to warn Theresa failed, as she had already slipped away with J.T.

After following Fancy to the creepy, dark ruins, Luis heard her scream. Beth, clutching her letter opener, told Fancy she merely saw a cat, and there was no need to yell. When Luis walked up, Beth hid. Fancy didn't want to leave without her new friend, who she assumed rushed off to the bathroom. Fancy tripped, and Luis assisted her as they walked away. Beth went after them.

Jessica, Paloma and Simone got pampered in their hotel room. Noah arrived, and the girls welcomed him to join their girlie evening. A personal shopper showed up with plenty of clothes for the gang to thumb through. Noah asked the women what money they were using. Paloma claimed she saved up dough from babysitting, while Simone was using money she received from her high school graduation. The threesome put on a fashion show for Noah, during which, he pictured Fancy. He told his sis he's happy she's having fun and not on drugs anymore, then he excused himself to attend to something more important. (What could be more important than watching your little sister and her friends try on sexy dresses?) Without Noah babysitting them, the girls headed out to have fun. The hidden monk watched them leave.

In Harmony, Gwen panicked to her mother about Theresa being close to exposing their tabloid scheme. A calm Becks slyly informed her daughter that she knows the reporter, J.T. "We shared a moment in history as young journalists," she claimed. Becks recalled teaching Cornell how to interview.... if interview means seduce your interviewee. Back in real time, Becca wiped out a stack of Rolodex cards with phone numbers of men. Gwen found J.T.'s digits and made her momma give him a call. Rebecca left a message for J.T. on his answering machine, demanding he leave Rome. Hmm... Amazing how Rebecca can track him down, but he's been able to hide from the IRS!

Spike arrived at Lena's hotel room and joked that the monk sent him. She warned the long-haired thug that he's the one Noah is looking for, and if Bennett finds him, "it's all over." Spike asked what Noah would want with him. Lena refreshed Spike's memory of the night Noah and Maya saw a man being killed in an attic; the murderer was Spike. She explained that Noah thinks he's in Rome to find that person. Just then, Noah pounded on the door. Spike pulled out a gun, but hid when Noah came in and barked at Lena for not giving him orders yet. While picking up on her nervousness, Noah spotted boots under the curtain and asked if she was hiding someone. Turns out, it was just boots and socks; Spike was hiding elsewhere.

Rebecca was disappointed that Gwen allowed Ethan to go to Rome with Theresa. Gwen assured her mother she's confident her husband won't give in to Theresa.

In Rome, Theresa kissed Ethan, who pushed her off and told her it's too late for them to be together because he's married. Theresa vowed that she will prove Gwen and Rebecca sold him out to the tabloid. Thanks to help from Madeline, Theresa was about to get her hands on a picture of J.T. Ethan yelled that he's sick of the tug of war between Theresa and Gwen, and that he's sick of Theresa. She left the hotel room. Just when he was about to go after her, Gwen called from Harmony. When she asked how Jessica's doing, Ethan filled her in on all of their friends who are in Rome. Gwen suggested Luis look after Jess so that Ethan could come home. She suspected something else was going on, so Ethan finally told her about the death threat and that Theresa is on a mission to expose Gwen and Becks. He went on to say that the tabloid editor is in Rome. Gwen acted as though she wasn't completely rattled, but she quickly got off the phone when Ethan informed her that Theresa is about to have her hands on J.T.'s photo. Becca tried to be confident that Theresa won't find Cornell.

In Fancy's hotel room, Luis showered while Beth, disguised as a maid, prepared to stab Fancy with a letter opener. Before she could do so, Luis walked back into the living room. Luis got a call from Interpol. Fancy asked the "housekeeper" to tell Luis she's taking a bath. However, Fancy really sneaked out the bathroom window so she wouldn't be stuck inside all night. Beth told Luis that Fancy was bathing, then opened the door to leave — and there stood Theresa! Beth hid her face and slid away. Theresa, with a bottle of wine in hand, asked Luis if she and Fancy wanted to get something to eat. He said they should order room service because they're all in danger. When Luis told Theresa to accept that Ethan is married to Gwen, she pointed out that he's not willing to give up on Sheridan because she's Chris's wife. Theresa assured her brother that he'll find Marty. She asked Luis what he thinks will happen when he brings the boy back to Sheridan. He said Sheridan will not be able to hide her true feelings, but he doesn't know if she will leave Chris. Theresa boiled it down to hoping Ethan and Sheridan love them enough to take a risk. They agreed that their family members don't give up on love. Luis checked in on Fancy and discovered she escaped; he went after her.

Fancy enjoyed a cocktail at a club alone, that is until Beth joined her. Fancy vented about Noah without saying his name, so Beth naturally assumed she was talking about Luis. Beth saw Luis walk in, so she urged Fancy to head elsewhere with her. They slipped out without Luis spotting them.

In the hotel bar, J.T. began chatting with Theresa, who didn't realize who he is. He introduced himself as Joe and bought her a drink.

Tabitha had to fan herself off while watching through her bowl as the half-naked Miguel and Siren rolled around on the beach. Steps away from the new duo, Fox and Kay went over the fact that he thinks Miguel and Siren, "the first supermodel couple," have major chemistry, but that Kay doesn't like Siren. Jealous that Miguel was getting hot and heavy with another woman, Kay told Fox to take her home so they could have sex. Outside of Tabitha's house, Kay and Fox started making love, but Kay pushed him off after thinking about Migs. When they walked through the door, Tabs tried to stop the recharged Kay and Fox, but they rushed up to their room. While kissing Fox in bed, Kay pictured making love to Miguel. Fox complimented Kay on the best sex they've ever had. Kay headed to the kitchen, where she cried to Tabitha and realized she does love Miguel.

Miguel stopped Siren from making love to him, saying they couldn't do it on a public beach. Miguel realized they were on the same beach that he was on several years ago when his buddies talked about how to find the right woman. He explained that, back then, he described his perfect girl, put the list in a wooden box and threw it into the ocean. When he walked away to get cocktails, Siren jumped into the water and retrieved the box. She quickly morphed from mermaid to human when Miguel approached. He was excited to read his old letter, which listed strong, funny and beautiful as qualities he wanted in a girlfriend. He privately wondered if he was subconsciously thinking about Kay when he wrote it. Migs and Siren decided to return to Tabby's for privacy. There, Miguel pushed Siren on the swing, something she didn't have in her "deprived childhood." Kay spied them through the window. "How could he kiss Siren on our swing," she sighed. Tabby asked Kay if she could live the rest of her life without Miguel.

Ethan pushed off an overly-excited Theresa, who believed he declined the available room so he could stay with her. Ethan reminded her that their time in Rome wasn't for romantic purposes; it's to help their friends and family. As usual, he tried to get it through to Theresa that they are not a couple. Thanks to the camera on her laptop, Theresa read Pinocchio to Little Ethan; Ethan looked on admiringly. The boy asked his "uncle" when he's coming back home to help him with tee-ball. They exchanged good-nights with the kid, then Theresa told Ethan that her son was the best thing about her night with Julian. "My biggest joy in my life came out of my biggest mistake — losing you," she pointed out. Theresa asked Ethan to promise to always be in L.E.'s life. Winthrop clarified that means Gwen will be in Little Ethan's life, too.

Beth (in her blonde wig) stood outside of Fancy's hotel room and eavesdropped on Luis and her niece. Fancy told Luis she doesn't need him to protect her. Beth swiped a uniform off of a hotel housekeeper to use as a disguise, and knocked on Fancy's door. Once inside, the faux maid pretended to turn down the bed and straighten up the room. While Luis got undressed to take a shower, Fancy and Beth caught a peek. (He left the bathroom door open in order to keep an eye on Fancy.) Beth prepared to stab Fancy.

Miguel and Siren continued to heat up the camera during the Crane Industries photo shoot. "Are you sure you're not part fish?" the photographer asked Siren, claiming she poses as if she's "swimming through the air." An annoyed Kay interrupted when the shoot was headed toward an R-rating. Fox was thrilled by the great work Miguel and Siren did. The foursome headed to a seafood restaurant. Kay warned Siren that she's being a leech, and it's going to turn off Miguel. Fox toasted Harmony's first supermodel couple. Siren spotted lobsters in a tank and ate several raw lobsters, shell and all. Surprisingly, Miguel, Fox and Kay, who were a foot away, didn't see her odd eating behavior. While dancing, Kay covered her annoyance of the always-smooching Migs and Siren by telling Fox she was just tired. When Kay noticed the kissing couple slipped out, she made up an excuse for having to follow them. They returned to the photo shoot location, where Fox realized Kay lied about the models signing the release form. Fox grew frustrated by Kay's constant odd behavior regarding the new duo. Kay spotted them making out on the beach.

Beth realized the blonde she befriended in the coffee shop, and who she saw dining with Luis, is Fancy Crane. She put on a blonde wig and vowed to get rid of her competition. She stabbed Fancy's picture and threw it in the trash can when the babysitter arrived.

At the hotel restaurant, Noah thanked Luis for keeping a protective eye on Fancy, and Chad was happy to see Ethan and Theresa. They filled him in on the death threat Theresa received via e-mail. Hiding around the corner, the monk watched the worried gang. Alone, Theresa apologized to Fancy for sending her to Rome for work. They had a heart-to-heart about Fancy's situation with Noah. The women lamented about being in a romantic city with the men they love, but not being able to be with them. Fancy lightheartedly accused Theresa of pretending Jessica, Paloma and Simone are in danger to get Ethan be with her in Rome, and of making up the e-mail. Theresa assured Fancy she did not, in fact, do either dirty deed. Chad told Ethan what happened with Whitney in the catacombs. Luis caught Noah staring at Fancy from afar. Noah kept mum about why he's pushing her away, but claimed nothing will keep him from getting Fancy back when "all of this" is over. Again, he thanked the trustworthy Luis of keeping Fancy safe. Thanks to Theresa, Fancy gave Noah one more chance to tell her what he's been keeping a secret, but of course, he failed to reveal anything. Luis warned his friend that he is running out of time to tell her the truth. An annoyed Fancy asked Theresa why she couldn't have fallen for someone more like Luis. Fancy thanked Luis for walking her to her room. She beamed when he informed her that they will be sleeping together. He explained that he's going to stay with her to keep her out of danger. Donning her wig, Beth arrived at the hotel ready to off Fancy. Her rage grew while eavesdropping on Luis and Fancy.

Ethan blamed Theresa for having to share a room. He told her not to utter the word "fate," or else he'll stay in the laundry room. While Theresa was in the bathroom, a bellman informed Ethan that a room opened up for him. Theresa attacked Ethan with kisses after he turned down the available room.
