PASSIONS Recaps Week of July 24, 2006

Friday, July 28, 2006
At Harmony Hospital Simone came to visit TC. Eve told Julian she's decided to go back to TC. Julian panicked and thought Eve meant she was leaving him for TC. Eve explained she meant she was just going back to the house to make sure TC got settled after being discharged. Julian reminded Eve of their social engagement that night, but Eve said TC needed medical supervision. A disappointed Julian offered to hire other doctors to tend to him but Eve said TC needs his family around right now. Julian began to feel left out of Eve's life.

Fox sat with Kay who was feeling "weird" after Fox said something that possibly jogged her memory. Kay began to feel dizzy. Miguel wasn't happy at the prospect and reminded Fox that Eve said it was dangerous to push Kay into remembering things too soon. Siren silently worried that Kay was really beginning to regain her memory as Fox and Miguel questioned Kay. Fox became upset when he realized Kay wasn't remembering after all. Chris noted to Sheridan that Luis is apparently moving on with his life. Sheridan said she never realized he'd be moving on with Fancy. Luis and Fancy approached. Luis asked Sheridan how she was doing. Sheridan said she's getting by. Sheridan remarked that she hadn't seen Luis in his uniform in a long time. Luis said he lost his detective position because he wasn't around for a while. Sheridan and Chris asked if they were on a date. Luis said no, he had actually arrested Fancy for speeding. Sheridan flashed back to when she met Luis and he had pulled her over for speeding. Silently Chris vowed to make Sheridan eventually forget about Luis one day.

Gwen and Ethan wondered whether Theresa was liking or hating Jared. Theresa asked Whitney why she was talking to Jared. Whitney said she was doing damage control with Jared so she wouldn't blow things with him. Whitney said Jared is one of the few men who doesn't want Theresa for her money because he has no idea she's one of the richest women in the world. Jared approached Theresa to talk but she rebuffed him. They argued over the quality of female bosses. Jared said from his experience women bosses are cold, heartless, vindictive and ruthless. Theresa wondered if she'd become like that after losing Ethan and the family she'd always dreamed of. Gwen was happy to watch them argue and happily noted to Ethan that it was nice to see sparks fly between Theresa and another man. After Jared unknowingly put his foot in his mouth some more by complaining about bad female bosses, he and Theresa went their separate ways. Theresa was infuriated by him, while Jared was happy to see that he obviously got her goat. Whitney and Theresa marveled at all the sparks flying between Theresa and Jared. Everyone cheered Little Ethan on as he scored a home run. During the game Fancy did her best to cozy up to Luis. Afterwards Luis took Fancy to the police station while Sheridan and Chris packed up James' lemonade stand. Jared congratulated Little Ethan on his good game. When Jared commented that girls shouldn't be on the same team as boys for t-ball, Theresa challenged Jared to a men's versus women's game of baseball. Gwen and the other women joined Theresa in challenging Jared to a game of baseball. Gwen silently hoped that it would be good for Ethan to see Theresa interested in another guy. As the game began Theresa pitched to Jared. After a strike Jared hit the ball — which hit Theresa in the head and knocked her unconscious. Everyone ran to Theresa's aid, including Ethan — much to Gwen's dismay.

At the police station Luis removed Fancy's cuffs. They remarked how great it was to see Little Ethan play. Luis wished he could see Marty play like that. Fancy insisted that Luis would find love again, probably where he least expected it. Luis rejected Fancy's idea and said it was best for him to leave Harmony. Fancy tried to talk him out of his plans when he got a phone call. Fancy vowed to make Luis fall in love with her before he leaves town.

Fox steamed when Kay salivated over Miguel as he helped coach Little Ethan's t-ball game. Fox tried to make her remember their romance by telling her the story of their Red Sox rendezvous without letting her know that she had been his mystery date. Sheridan and Chris helped little James set up a lemonade stand. Sheridan fantasized about her baby being alive and with his brothers and their respective daddies. Chris wondered if Sheridan still missed Luis. She admitted that she does, but she loves Chris and is happy to be with him.

Also at the game, Whitney and Theresa hoped that the drama in Harmony would subside, just as Jared came crashing into Theresa while trying to make a catch. Jared flirted with Theresa, but she shot down his advances. "It's a good thing I'm wearing a cup," snarked Jared after one of her put-downs. Gwen beamed that Theresa had found a potential replacement for Ethan. Gwen and Whitney agreed that there was something between Jared and Theresa, though Mrs. Crane denied an attraction. Jared came to see Theresa after his game and they bonded over the stupid things they had done for love, but then Jared made a snide comment about female bosses, and she took offense. Whitney scolded Theresa for chasing Jared away.

Luis arrested Fancy for speeding and having numerous unpaid tickets. She saucily suggested that he kiss her but was stunned when he insisted on taking her down to the station. Luis confessed that he didn't believe he would ever fall in love again, but Fancy convinced him to not write off the possibility. Fancy pretended that she couldn't reach anyone to bail her out so that Luis would have to take her to Little Ethan's t-ball game.

Ethan begged Gwen to stay home from work, and he got his wish when Collier called to let her go (with two week's severance). That made them a no-income family. They celebrated by making love. Theresa, meanwhile, was busy at work. Whitney had arrived at her office just in time to hear her tell Collier he didn't have to keep Gwen on the payroll anymore. Whitney was concerned, but Theresa swore her tricks were a thing of the past. She insisted her future was with Crane Industries and her son and MAYBE a man, but not Jared. Whitney reminded Theresa she used to have a sense of humor and pushed Jared on her. "I just have a good feeling," she said, before going to check on Miles. When Whit returned, a very overwhelmed Theresa was working with Valerie. Val was both uncomfortable and bitchy toward Whit and quickly excused herself. There was talk of going to the kids' little league game and Chad's league game, but Theresa started to panic about her workload. Whit agreed to help out with some filing. When she suggested Theresa lose the pictures of Ethan on her self, Theresa put them through the shredder.

Kay and Miguel cuddled in bed and reminisced about having sex the night before, but Miguel stopped short of a repeat performance to discuss Fox. He got Kay to say she'd choose him over Fox any day, would never love anyone the way she loves him, etc, etc., which made her ask about what he would do if Charity returned. He insisted Kay was the only one for him. Back at home, a mopey and tired Fox whined to Siren about Miguel taking advantage of Kay. "To be fair, Kay couldn't wait to get into Miguel's pants," Siren noted. Then she suggested they make things better by making love. "You can't be serious," he marveled, and asked why she wasn't as stressed as he was. She countered that he was stressed because he feared Kay really did love Miguel more, but he said this was about Kay's past feelings, not her present ones. With Kay and Miguel on their way into the house, Siren convinced Fox to at least make out a bit so Kay would be bounced back to reality by some old-fashioned jealousy. (It didn't hurt that it would annoy Miguel, either.) Unfortunately, Kay thought it was great that they were together and Miguel had nothing to say about it.

Fancy thought she was dreaming when she woke to a passionate Luis...and she was right. The hand that actually woke her was Sheridan's. She asked why Fancy was expecting Luis. Fancy made up a story about dreaming of Italy and acted a bit defensive. She turned the conversation to Sheridan's miscarriage and offered her support. She asked Fancy if she could hide out with her for a bit and Fancy of course said yes. After raving about Chris for supporting her, Sheridan admitted, "a part of me will always love Luis." Fancy couldn't help smiling when Sheridan then confirmed that there was no future for her and Luis. She pushed her aunt to say she hoped Luis would find someone. "He deserves to fall in love, get married be happy," Sheridan sighed. "You both deserve to." Luis, meanwhile, was back in uniform and catching up with Sam. Noah came down to the kitchen and bitched about living with Spike. He was at his wit's end, but Sam felt that at least they could keep an eye on Jessica. Luis then got down to business. He told Sam that while he understood having his rank dropped due to his absence from work, he planned to take the exam to be reinstated as a detective, was signed up for training recruits and would appreciate any overtime Sam would give him. He wanted to "keep busy [and] save as much money as possible so I can leave Harmony." Noah commended Luis for taking the high road with Sheridan by letting her go, and wished he could do the same with Fancy...especially since she was already in love with Luis. The top cop rolled his eyes at the idea, but Noah "guaranteed" Fancy was at least falling for him. "Fancy is a great girl. End of story," Luis concluded.

Tabitha gave Endora trouble for creating Siren (and caught fans up on recent events) until her bowl tuned into Fox, Kay, Miguel and the mermaid. Kay was demanding to know why Fox and Siren were there. Instead of telling her the truth, Fox put it on Maria, insisting Kay was needed at home. When Kay called Tabby, she didn't back up Fox's story, even after Endora shot her with a few spells. That left Kay up in arms over the strange way everyone was acting. Siren stirred things up by letting Fox know she saw them making out, but Miguel really got Fox going when he suggested Kay's amnesia was due to the stress of being with the wrong guy (i.e. Fox) and wondered what would happen if she never snapped back to reality. The guys got into a pushing match, but Kay stopped them and told Fox to "stay the hell away from us." Siren then stopped Fox from following after them and he agreed, swearing he'd get Kay back. Tabitha foretold pain for all involved if Fox proceeded.

Rebecca sidled up to Julian at The Blue Note bar and offered to cheer him up, "because your bride-to-be is spending all her spare time at the hospital with her ex." Julian spoke empathetically of TC's situation and told her to leave him to drink alone. He swore, "Nothing you say could turn me against Eve. Nothing and no one can come between us," but she knowingly responded, "Except TC." They went back and forth on the subject until she agreed to leave him be, with one caveat: "I want you to remember the good times that we had...because when Eve remembers the good times she had with TC — and she will — she's going to want her family back." Rebecca was still in it to win it, or in this case, keep it.

Across the bar, Whitney and Chad brought Theresa a glass of tea and asked after Jared. Theresa insisted he wasn't her type, but reiterated that she was open to dating...even though she should be with Ethan. Instead, he was across the room dancing with Gwen, so when Jared showed up, Theresa put a show on as she danced with him to make Ethan jealous. Gwen made some snide comments about her and after the dance, Whitney called Theresa on playing games. Theresa claimed she was doing it to get back at Gwen, not to get Ethan. Chad and Jared returned with fresh drinks and the four hit the dance floor again. With Gwen in the bathroom, Ethan had time to feast his protective eyes on Theresa and her new guy. Bartender Noah poured him a fresh one and called him on his obvious feelings for Theresa. He asked what Ethan would do when Theresa moved on with another man — and what that might do to Gwen. Ethan later kissed his wife on the dance floor (in front of Theresa) and went home for some whoopee. While Whitney, Chad, Theresa and Jared continued their impromptu double date, Gwen wondered after Theresa's new guy and hoped he'd be the distraction she needed, which made Ethan grouchy. If only he'd seen Jared move in for a kiss at the Blue Note! "Tess" denied him, so he asked why she used him to make Ethan jealous. After she apologized, Jared made it very clear he was interested in her. He forgave her this time, saying he wouldn't put up with any more games. Chad and Whitney were excited about this perfect-for-Theresa perfect stranger. Theresa kept pushing the idea away, but Chad reminded her, "You're never to busy for love."

Fancy found Luis feeling guilty at the beach and offered her support. He was so despondent over Sheridan's broken heart and the death of their son and her unborn baby that he wished he'd never been found alive. "For once, I'm going to do what she asked and stay out of her life for good," he swore, adding that there was nothing anyone could say to help — not "even" Fancy. She did her best anyway. When Luis said he'd have to ignore his feelings for Sheridan, she cooed, "You are too good a person to be hurting like this." She then pushed him to get away from the Crane compound. Before going to the Blue Note with her, he thanked her for, "Being you. Being such a good friend. I don't know what I'd do without you."

At the Blue Note, Theresa spilled her drink all over a hot stranger and he didn't take it well. When she apologized, he just grumbled and shot insults at her, so she took her apology back and responded in kind. Whitney and Noah tried to get the two to calm down, but the stranger threatened to call the cops. Then he suddenly made an about face and returned her apology. A truce was sealed with a handshake and Jared introduced himself. Now teasing Theresa, he insisted on calling her "Tess." "Theresas should be blonde, blue-eyed. Tesses are wilder, spitfires," he said, and the love/hate flirty vibe ensued, much to Whitney's amusement. Jared got them all a table, but Theresa spotted Luis and went to talk to him. "Wow, I haven't seen anyone make Theresa this uncomfortable since the early days of Ethan," marveled Whit.

While Fancy ordered beer from (and fought with) Noah, Luis and Theresa had a heart-to-heart about the Sheridan situation. He said he could relate to what she'd gone through with Ethan and the two bonded in heartbreak. Theresa stared off thoughtfully, only to meet Jared's smiling eyes from across the room. She looked scared. When Fancy returned, she and Luis continued the pity party. She admitted her grandfather was evil and wondered, "What else in my life is a sham?" Luis insisted Noah deserved a break, but she couldn't risk giving her heart to him again. When he left for a walk, Noah brought over a glass of champagne as a peace offering, but it didn't get him anywhere.

While Chad got the 411 on Jared, Theresa filled Whit in on Luis and Sheridan's tragedies. She empathized, but when Theresa said she was resigned to being alone, Whitney responded, "Just because you've given up on Ethan doesn't mean you've given up on men altogether." She kept pushing Jared, but Theresa remained pouty over him. Of course, for all the insults she threw, she couldn't stop staring at him.

Fox called up to Miguel and Kay's room from the hotel lobby, hoping to stop them from making whoopee. Then, when the unhelpful front deskman went to take a cell call, he snuck behind the desk to look up the room number. Unfortunately for Fox, they were working off Tabitha's lust potion at the beach, with a furious Siren watching on. She couldn't interrupt them because her tail was too wet to turn into legs. As if that weren't irritating enough, the blind hotel guests happened upon her and started poking and prodding her. Thinking they were saving a giant animal, they struggled to push Siren back into the water. Just as Miguel and Kay finished doing the deed (at least it looked like they'd finally done it), one of the blind guys asked for Miguel's assistance. Siren was gone by the time they got there, but Kay spotted the amazingly huge fin marks in the sand. Assuming the animal had returned to the sea, the self-satisfied blind folks continued on their walk. Fox, meanwhile, closed in on Kay and Miguel, but found Siren first. Then Kay and Miguel walked up, with a surprised Kay very annoyed.
