PASSIONS Recaps Week of November 13, 2006

Friday, November 17, 2006
At the hospital, Luis arrived with a huge bouquet of flowers for Fancy as Sheridan looked on, jealous. Fancy thanked Luis for saving her life by keeping her warm and whispering sweet nothings to her while she was injured. Fancy kissed him, and Sheridan loudly thrust down the flower vase, interrupting the moment. Sheridan decided to leave and Eve kicked Luis out too so that she could examine Fancy. Fancy, however, didn't want Luis to leave. "He's seen me naked before," she protested, but the good doctor was insistent. Eve gave Fancy a clean bill of health but warned that Fancy might wind up brokenhearted. Cranes would do crazy things to hold onto those they love, she cautioned. Luis questioned Sheridan about what Fancy had said about him. "You love her!" Sheridan marveled. Sheridan thought Luis' attraction made sense since Fancy and Sheridan were so similar, but Luis thought the women were actually quite different. Luis asked Sheridan if she was happy with Chris and she hedged that she loved her husband and son.

Kay was upset that Miguel told Noah that they had reconciled. Kay finally admitted to Tabitha that she wanted to wed Miguel, not Fox, but that Fox was dying. Miguel wanted Kay to tell Fox that night that she wasn't marrying him. Tabitha worried that if Endora learned her half-brother was dying she could throw a tantrum and kill them all and warned Kay that Miguel's patience with Kay's indecisiveness would eventually reach a breaking point. Meanwhile, Fox explained his play to win Kay by pretending to be dying. When Fox raved about his relationship with Kay to Miguel and Noah, Miguel grew frustrated. Just as Miguel was about to announce that he and Kay had reconciled, Kay walked in and Fox kissed her passionately. Fox confided to Julian that Charity would return in time for the shower, and Julian beamed with pride that his son was a chip off the old Crane block. Charity arrived.

Ethan brought Julian paperwork for the custody hearing. Julian insisted he wanted full custody, to Ethan's horror. Julian mused to himself that Theresa would trade her son to be with Ethan. When Jared arrived with legal documents for Theresa, she pleaded, "Please don't leave me....Crane, I mean." She argued that that she and Ethan were finished for good, but Jared wasn't convinced. He thought no man could resist her, including Ethan. Just as Theresa argued for Jared to take her back, Ethan showed up. Jared left and Ethan revealed that Julian wanted full custody. Theresa railed that Julian wasn't even Little Ethan's father. "You are," she told Ethan.

Pilar was thrilled when (a fully clothed!) Miguel told her Kay was his. She later asked if he'd leave her for Charity, and he flashed back to romantic memories with nuCharity. "I could never love anyone as much as you," he'd promised her, but he told his mother Kay was the one of him now. Pilar told her son to be patient regarding Fox's illness. "Things would be so much easier if Fox wasn't so selfless," the fool said before leaving. At Tabitha's, meanwhile, Kay eavesdropped as Fox staged another faux call to his doctor and was touched when he told the doc he couldn't ruin her wedding by telling her. "I love that girl with all my heart, even if it is defective," he said before hanging up. Then she came in and tried to get him to 'fess up. She thought she had him, but instead he "confessed" about the big bridal shower he'd planned for her. When she left to argue with Miguel, he called Charity to make sure she was on her way back to Harmony.

In the next room, Paloma interrupted Luis' daydreams of Fancy and asked him what he was smiling about. She was surprised to hear it was Fancy and wondered if he was over Sheridan. He said he didn't "have a choice" about moving on, because "Sheridan's moved on from me." Paloma remembered Sheridan's confession to the opposite, but didn't break her confidence. Instead, she asked Luis whom he'd choose if he had to, Sheridan or Fancy. "You know something? I don't know," the top cop responded. She said she was just protecting Fancy and asked if he was serious about her. He revealed that in the mineshaft, "she stirred something inside me that I haven't felt in a long while. I'm ready to be with Fancy." When he left, Paloma hoped Sheridan kept her trap shut so the trio could avoid any triangle mess. Then she joined her mom in the kitchen, but she was too confused by love to eat. She swore she'd never get into a triangle, but Pilar warned, "Never say never." Then talk turned to Paloma's desire to be a cop. After admitting she needed to "bulk up" for the job, she teased that there was a guy she had her eye on. "For now, I don't want to be in love," she concluded, but Pilar just told her to choose more wisely than the rest of their family.

At the coffeehouse, Jared reamed Chad for scheduling a meet with Valerie. He wondered why he would risk his life with Whitney. Chad insisted he wasn't "neglecting Whitney. I come home to her every night. We have great sex. I love her." When talk turned to Jared's getting dumped by Theresa, who was still stuck on Ethan, Jared revealed he'd found a headhunter and was heading out of town. Their ladies, meanwhile, were catching up outside of Crane childcare. Theresa recapped the JT fiasco and, as always, Whit insisted telling Ethan the truth was her best bet. "Make some kind of deal with him to share custody, but you can't let Julian win (custody)," Whitney concluded. Then Whit told Theresa she thought Chad was having an affair, but was afraid to confront him. Theresa noted that Rebecca was the wrong woman to trust as a source, all things considered, and reminded her that Chad had proved himself to her. "You got your prince charming, honey," Theresa said. "You hold on tight." On her way out, Whitney ran into Jared and asked him to forgive Theresa. He admitted he cared about her, but "It's like Chad said, 'You can't be in a relationship with three people.'" Whit didn't miss that slip and asked if Chad said anything else about their relationship. Jared just raved about how much Chad loved her. When she heard Jared was leaving, she tried to talk him out of it, saying not to let his pride stop him from giving Theresa another chance. Chad, meanwhile, had joined Theresa. She didn't think Jared could forgive her. Chad suspected otherwise, but warned that she better fight for him now, because he was leaving town.

Sheridan visited Fancy and could barely contain herself as her niece went on about how wonderful it was to be saved by Luis. "I just don't want to hear about Luis," she shot, so an empathetic Fancy asked if she was still okay with her dating Luis. When Sheridan admitted it was just "painful for me to see Luis bond with someone else," Fancy lost her patience and told Sheridan she couldn't have two men. She also said Luis was falling for her and warned, "If you still have allusions of being with Luis again, you're going to be disappointed." Sheridan admitted she'd have divorced Chris if Luis had saved Marty, but that now, she'd never leave him, because she couldn't lose James. Then she slipped, saying something about the love she and Luis "share," and Fancy didn't miss the tense. Sheridan told her not to worry. "If Luis falls in love with you, and that's what you want, I wish you all the happiness," she concluded, but then Luis came in with a huge pink bouquet. He didn't see poor Sheridan, who was crushed to watch as he glowed over Fancy.

In the mineshaft, Fancy complained about being tired. Luis insisted she needs to stay awake and told her that help is on the way. Up above, Sheridan watched them on the closed-circuit monitor, and Paloma observed Sheridan's sadness. Paloma told Sheridan to tell Luis she's still madly in love with him once Luis and Fancy are rescued. Sheridan refused and insisted she couldn't do that to Chris and James. Besides, Sheridan reasoned, it's too late: Luis has moved on with Fancy. Paloma declared that if two people ever deserved to be together it was Luis and Sheridan. Paloma respected Sheridan's feelings for James but said they were a lousy reason to stay married to his father. Sam returned with a cable and harness to rescue Luis and Fancy from the mineshaft. Sam and Chris lowered the cable and harness. Luis buckled himself onto it and had Fancy wrap herself around him. As they ascended the mineshaft the pulley got jammed and the tension broke on the cable, sending Luis and Fancy into free fall down the shaft. The workers were able to cut the brakes on the cable so that Luis and Fancy stopped within feet of hitting the bottom of the shaft. Sam ordered the workers to slowly begin to pull up the cable again. When they reached the top, Sam and Chris pulled them to safety. Everyone watched as Sheridan ran to Luis to check on him. Luis exploded on Chris and blamed him for what happened. Chris defended himself and Sheridan and Sam sided with Chris. Luis resolved to find the truth and warned Chris that if he finds proof that connects him to what happened to Fancy, he'll answer to Luis personally. The paramedics arrived and took Fancy to the hospital.

Miguel grilled Kay on why she was late coming out to meet him. Kay flashed back to making love with Fox. Miguel demanded to know if she still wants to be Fox after declaring her love for Miguel. Kay covered as Fox eavesdropped from the window. Fox gloated at the idea that Kay won't leave him. Kay guilted Miguel and reminded him that Fox dying of a terminal illness changes the picture. Miguel relented and apologized for pressuring her. Kay asked Miguel if he'd ever consider going back to Charity if she returned. Miguel reiterated his commitment to Kay, and claimed he won't make the same mistake (leaving Kay) twice. Fox made a phone call on his cell and arranged "a big surprise" for Miguel.

Theresa lamented the idea that she's lost Ethan for good. She ran into J.T. and tackled him. Theresa demanded to know why J.T. didn't tell the truth. "Because I stopped him," gloated Julian, who walked up to them on the docks. Julian and Theresa faced off, and took back the money Theresa had planned to use to pay J.T., claiming she has no right to take money for Crane corporate accounts. Theresa disagreed, saying Alistair left her in charge. Julian cited the company's bylaws, and accused her of attempting embezzlement. Theresa demanded to have the money back. When Julian refused, Theresa attacked him. J.T. pulled Theresa off of Julian, who kept the money. Theresa and Julian traded barbs and threats. Julian made Theresa an indecent proposal. He'd allow J.T. to tell Ethan the truth about Gwen and Rebecca in exchange for one thing: full custody of Little Ethan. Theresa exploded at Julian's offer, and blurted that he has "nothing to do with Little Ethan." Theresa regrouped and refused to accept his offer and vowed to get Ethan back another way. Julian was perplexed by her decision, and reminded her that as a result she'll stand to lose everything, Ethan AND Little Ethan, but Theresa insisted she'll find a way to get what she wants.

Miguel fantasized that he burst in on Kay and Fox, storming, "Get your hands off my girl." His fantasy punch left Fox dead and Kay furious, so he decided against barging in and went outside, where he ran into Noah. The boys had a heart to heart about Kay, her machinations and Grace returning to "wield her magic hammer and knock us all into shape." Noah was furious with his sis and made many snide comments. He also told Migs not to "pull a Theresa" by getting between Kay and Fox, so Migs revealed that Kay had admitted she loved him. Noah refused to take sides, though he said he did like Fox, and wished Miguel luck. "You're going to need it," he chuckled. "Maybe you can whip Kay into shape." Then Migs dropped the bomb that Fox was dying and Kay was making him wait out Fox' demise out before making their union official. "The timing was right out of a soap opera," Miguel realized and almost caught on, but of course he didn't. Upstairs, Kay tried to stop Fox' advances. She pointed to his fever, but he kept talking about life being "so short" and "accidentally" almost slipping about his (faux) impending death. She finally made love to him like it was his "last night on earth." Then he played up the dying man ploy and went to sleep, but was of course awake when Kay slipped out. As he watched Kay fall into Miguel's arms outside their room, he scoffed, "Miguel, you poor stupid, naive fool. Don't try to outfox the Fox."

Luis and Fancy made out and cuddled in the pit, while a scowling Sheridan watched over them on the live feed above. The kissing warmed Fancy up, but she was still shivering and a bit out of it. Amidst their cooing, Luis comforted that Sam should have a rescue team soon. "I hope he doesn't think we're fraternizing," Fancy quipped, showing she was hanging in there. Then she fantasized about their future, with them stuck happily and romantic ever after at the bottom of the pit. When he interrupted to tell her to stay with him, she told him that if she didn't make it, she'd "die a very happy woman." Watching all that kissing from above, meanwhile, made Sheridan snap at Paloma. Paloma understood and wished she could hear the conversation down below, but Sheridan didn't need to. "I've lost Luis' heart. He's fallen for Fancy. Literally," she cried and then admitted that, in spite of her commitment to her vows, she'd always assumed that Luis would be waiting when she could be with him again. (Can you say, "Selfish"!) Paloma reminded her she'd given Fancy the right to date Luis. Sheridan lamented that she'd never have fallen in love with Chris if she hadn't believed Luis to be dead and then admitted she'd fallen in love with her hubby for his son. Paloma insisted that wasn't a reason to be married and when Sheridan revealed that seeing Luis and Fancy together made her realize Luis was the love of her life, Paloma instructed her to tell him how she feels. Sheridan realized she couldn't leave Chris, because she couldn't risk losing her son, James, and collapsed into Paloma's comforting arms.

Ethan pushed JT for the reason Theresa gave up on chasing him, but JT played dumb. Gwen chimed in, insisting JT knew, which made Ethan slightly suspicious. Theresa got excited, begging him again to not believe JT's lie that Phyllis leaked his paternity instead of Gwen, but in the end Ethan assumed this was typical Theresa. "Desperately hanging on to what you believe is true when you know it's not — it's ruining your life, it's ruining all of our lives," he whined. He told her to move on with her life. "I tried that, Ethan, and it didn't work, because I love you and you love me," she cried. While JT whispered that Gwen should ask Julian about Theresa's secret, Theresa badgered Ethan. She insisted Gwen was with her and JT earlier in the evening, but Ethan wouldn't believe her, thanks to Beccs' earlier charade. Ethan finally gave in and agreed to look at any proof Theresa had that Gwen lied, so Theresa attacked JT and then said she could have him killed. JT scurried off and Ethan sent Theresa away. Once finally alone, Gwen had the audacity to insist her hubby apologize for not believing her. He did, but still wondered why Theresa would insist she had proof if she didn't. They hugged it out, while Theresa paced the hallway outside, trying to figure out how she'd lost everything.

With wily Fox feigning a deadly illness, Kay insisted Miguel not tell him about their love. She was too afraid of hurting Fox. Of course, she still loved Migs, so Fox, realizing his illness might not be enough to keep Kay, called one of Alistair's cronies and told him to find Charity. "Wish me luck, grandfather," he sighed. "I'm about to destroy Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald." He then faked a fever, while still "hiding" his nonexistent illness. Miguel tried to tell him they were in love, but Kay interrupted, injecting the idea that Miguel wanted peace. Fox played on his illness, waxing philosophical about how short life is, and then asked Miguel to be his best man. Migs was shocked and was given no room to decline the offer, let alone tell Fox he was in love with Kay. When Fox gave him a hug and went to bed, Miguel demanded to know, "Are you planning on sleeping with Fox tonight?" Kay swore she wouldn't and asked Miguel to wait up for her, but Fox had her in bed within minutes. "I want to make love to you all night long," he moaned and poor Migs heard it all.

While awaiting help, Sheridan and Paloma shined a light down the hole and Luis held an unconscious Fancy in his arms, begging her to survive. "She's gone," he called up to Sheridan, but Fancy stirred when he said, "I never got a chance to tell you how much I love you." She was freezing and in shock, so the girls dropped down emergency survival kits, which included a camera. They watched as Luis warmed Fancy up by wrapping her in a blanket and then taking off her wet clothes. "What is he doing?!" Sheridan demanded when he threw a bra aside, but Paloma quickly explained his goal. Even after Luis lit a fire, Fancy was still shivering, so, remembering a time when he stripped to save Sheridan, he did the same for Fancy. "I'm going to get you warm," he promised as he wrapped her naked body in his. She became more lucid and, with their lives on the line, they got in some good cuddle time. She said didn't know how to thank him for saving her life, but he corrected, "I think you're saving mine," and they kissed. Poor Sheridan was clearly uncomfortable, even before the kiss. Paloma got a good laugh out of that, but it didn't take her long to realize Sheridan's feelings weren't a laughing matter. After the kiss, Sheridan started crying.

Theresa called JT into Gwen and Ethan's room. Before he could reveal anything, Gwen told Ethan she loved him. Ethan wasn't open to listening to JT unless Theresa stepped aside to let him and JT have a "man to man" chat. He asked JT to tell him everything about the tabloid reveal. Gwen prepared for the worst, but cheered when JT named Phyllis instead of her! Theresa went on the attack, but Ethan had lost patience. He told her it was over and apologized to his wife. JT tried to sneak out, but Ethan caught him and asked what Theresa's secret was.
