PASSIONS RecapsWeek of December 25, 2006

Luis walked in on a feuding Fancy and Sheridan and immediately noticed the tension, but Fancy covered by blaming it on her rape flashbacks. He informed the ladies of JT's death, and apologized for having to leave Fancy. He was glad she had her "favorite aunt around for support." Once they were alone again, Fancy said she'd only covered for Sheridan because "If I told Luis what you were up to, he would be devastated." She then warned Sheridan that if she didn't stay away from them, she'd tell Luis what a bitch she'd become. Sheridan claimed Fancy misunderstood and that it was not jealousy, but concern, that motivated her. She talked of the heartbreak of losing Marty and said she'd chosen to not go back to Luis for his own good. "Any involvement with our family will only put him through pain and heartache," she said, maintaining Alistair's anti-Lopez-Fitzgerald wrath could "reach beyond the grave." Fancy wasn't cowed, so then Sheridan added that she was afraid Fancy would be hurt when Luis couldn't get past her rape. "He's a man first," she said of the cop. "And every time that he touches you, he's going to have to remember that this stranger attacked you and had sex with you." Fancy apologized, blaming the attack for clouding her vision and asking Sheridan to forgive her. Sheridan was thrilled her niece bought her load of bull, but Fancy was just faking.

Whitney reeled over finding her brand new hubby making a date with someone else for New Year's. He struggled to explain the phone call, but she stormed, "Get the hell away from me, because I hate you." When she asked who "she" was, he insisted, "It's not what you think." Crushed, Whit turned to Theresa, thus interrupting Jared's newest attempt at a proposal. He got the ring on her finger, but not an actual answer. Whit cried that her wedding was "one big sham" and was angry she hadn't follow her instincts, but Theresa said, "If what you are saying Chad did is true, he's the fool, okay? Not you." Then Whit saw the ring on Theresa's finger and assumed she'd accepted Jared's proposal. Theresa was relieved Whit had interrupted, since she was having second thoughts about Jared, thanks to Ethan's insistence that he had a dark secret. "We were both fooled by Chad. Maybe Jared is fooling me," she worried. While the girls wondered if one of their guys killed JT, Jared gave Chad an "I told you so" speech. Chad worried his new wife would never forgive him.

Ethan stuck around to follow the investigation of JT's demise, hoping the goods on Jared would show up. Sam called him out on why he was there and on trying to be Theresa's white knight. Ethan confessed he was having trouble adjusting to Theresa's having relationship with another man, but also insisted he was only trying to expose Jared for the sake of Little E. Sam remained suspicious and Ethan finally admitted, "She's in my head, she's in my heart," but followed by swearing, "I'm going to uphold my marriage vows." Sam directed his son to then let Theresa go, as did Luis when he came downstairs. Sam also spoke with Grace, who was fretting over a secret she would reveal when she returned home. With her flight again delayed, she worried, "I've just got to get home before it's too late," but then the seemingly innocuous priest looked into his bag, where there was a bomb! "You are not going to tell anything to anyone because you are not going to make it home," he predicted.

Eve was incensed to learn Miguel had stolen her keys and broken into her medical files, but she was floored when he explained he was trying to prove Fox wasn't dying. She quickly tried to cover, saying she wouldn't divulge patient info and that he was jumping to conclusions, but he maintained, "The look in your eyes gave it away." She demanded the file, but he left with it. Kay, meanwhile, revealed to Fox that she knew "everything." He was worried at first, but she was only referring to his (faux) deadly illness and he played it beautifully. He first apologized and said he'd been selfish, fearing she'd either leave him or marry him out of pity. Then he added that he'd wanted to marry her because, as Cranes, she and Maria would be taken care of after his death. Kay was just so touched, but Fox wasn't done. He next feigned guilt over keeping the secret. He went so far as to insist on calling the wedding off, but a wooed Kay wouldn't let him.

Talk about a party stopper — A dead woman fell out of Chad and Whit's wedding cake! Needless to say, it caused quite a stir at the reception. There were many shocked responses, but Kay just hoped Tabitha had been a wedding off and that this was the dead body she'd forecasted. Theresa called everyone to order. Cadet Paloma tried to help, which impressed Noah, but Chief Sam told her this was too serious a crime scene for her. "This is a high-profile case and I have to go by the book," he apologized. Then he had tabloid reporter Vincent Clarkson escorted from the scene, keeping his camera. The party was clearly over, but Sam said the partygoers had to stick around. He cleared the room and when he and Eve IDed the dead woman, he was shocked. He worried the press would have a field day with it, but Eve maintained, "I don't think it's going to be as big a surprise as you think." The rest of the partyers kept busy discussing the cake disaster and their own issues of the day. Whit was upset her wedding wasn't perfect, to which Theresa responded, "maybe she wasn't that innocent." Ethan focused on finding JT to prove Jared is bad, while Rebecca and Gwen griped about JT and his MIA USB memory stick. Kay hoped there were no cake disasters at her wedding and grappled over Miguel's apparent fling with Charity, while Miguel wondered if Fox was faking his illness. When Ethan bragged to Theresa that JT would get the goods on Jared, she ominously said, "You're too late." Sam announced he'd identified the body, which made everyone look guiltily around. They followed him back into the room to learn that it was a man. When Luis unveiled the body...it was JT! Rebecca played up her sorrow over losing her secret love, throwing herself on him so that she could (unsuccessfully) search his body for the USB until Luis finally pulled her off, claiming she was contaminating the evidence. (Too little too late — she'd touched every part of the corpse.) Ethan was upset he'd lost his ace in the hole, but Miguel, Theresa, Jared and Chad all had thoughts of relief, believing their secrets had died with JT. When Sam asked who might have killed JT, Ethan insisted it was Jared, but Sam said Jared was one of many with motives. Everyone was dismissed and told to stay in town. Sam told Luis that solving this crime would mean getting his detective status back. Then he sent him back to be with Fancy.

Theresa, for her part, told Ethan to get over it and let her move on. "I can't let you go," he said to himself. The bride and groom saw things Theresa's way. They told Jared to go ahead and ask for Theresa's hand in marriage. "No reason not to," Jared agreed, and followed up by thinking, "Especially now." He created a romantic setting and when Theresa arrived, he started to propose again. He got down on his knee and this time, he got the big question out. It looked like Theresa was going to say yes. The newlyweds, meanwhile, were ready to retire, but first Chad went to get a bottle of champagne. That's when he took a call from his lover. He told the mystery person they'd get together at New Year's. Too bad Whitney heard him! His new wife gave him a powerful slap. Simone, meanwhile, tried to calm Kay, who was worried over Miguel's new plan to reveal Fox's machinations. Simone saw correctly that Kay was also hoping Miguel would find whatever he was looking for and told her to figure out what she wanted. What she didn't know was her baby's father had broken into Dr. Eve's office in search of Fox's medical file.

With Fancy back at home, Sheridan offered her services. "Get away from me, you bitch," was Fancy's response. Then she revealed that while seemingly unconscious in the hospital, she'd heard Sheridan's subliminal messages. "I had just been raped and you decided that was the perfect time to pour poison in my ear, to turn me away from the man I love? I mean, really, what kind of sick and twisted person does something like that?" Sheridan tried to deny it, but Fancy said she was worse than Alistair.

Luis hoped to catch Fancy's rapist, but she didn't want to relive her attack. Fancy broke down when she recalled that night, and Luis promised not to push her any more. He vowed to bring her rapist to justice.

Norma and Edna continued to get drunk with Tabitha. Tabitha put Endora down for a nap and beamed that she was happy they decided to "bury the hatchet," even as Edna clutched her ax. Tabitha wondered if the Christmas spirit had inspired Edna and Norma to drop their vendetta against her, but Norma stormed in with a knife and tried to attacked Tabitha, while Edna wielded an ax. With Endora's help, Tabitha disposed of her enemies in a burning pit in the floor.

At Chad and Whitney's wedding reception at the Crane mansion, Jared confided to Chad that he planned to propose to Theresa before the end of the night. Chad was relieved that no one tried to stop the wedding. Theresa toasted to a "lifetime of happily wedded bliss" for the happy couple, and Whitney and Chad kissed. As Chad and Whitney danced, Rebecca sniffed, "I always cry at a girl's first wedding." While Rebecca and Gwen fretted about being exposed by J.T., Miguel brooded over losing Kay. TC put aside his cane and asked Whitney to dance, and other couples took to the dance floor as well. Meanwhile, upstairs, Julian and Ivy were horrified to awake hung over and in bed together. "I fear that we have been very, very bad," cringed Julian. Julian and Ivy heard the ruckus downstairs and went to investigate. They walked into the wedding reception clad only in bed sheets. Rebecca couldn't believe Julian slept with Ivy after all of the bad things he said about her. Julian and Ivy made a speedy exit. "Can't we ever have a normal party in this house?" sighed Ethan. Miguel suggested to Noah that Fox could be faking his illness. Simone caught the bouquet, and Noah and Paloma smooched. A tabloid reporter showed up looking for J.T. and revealed that the envelope Cornell left the newspaper was empty. When Chad and Whitney cut their wedding cake, a dead body fell out.
