PASSIONS Recaps Week of April 23, 2007

Friday, April 27, 2007
Luis fought off cell mate Harry. Sam arrived and the guard, who was previously cheering Harry on, acted as if he was there to stop the brawl. Alone, Sam checked on Luis, who told the chief he thinks the warden was behind the violence. Sam let Luis know that Fancy quit the police force; Luis felt guilty. Sam had to leave, but asked Luis if he wanted him to talk to the warden. Luis told him to find the person who set him up instead.

Fancy returned home and was surprised to see Esme in her room. The self-centered brunette was clueless as to why Fancy was so upset. Ms. Crane filled her in on Luis's sentence. "Don't you realize the next time I see the man I love could be at his funeral?" While listening to Esme babble, Fancy had an idea of how to get to Luis. She got on her computer and came up with a plan. After bringing Fancy boyish clothes and wig from another room, Esme told her friend she bumped into Pretty in Milan, and it was evident she didn't want anyone to know who she was. Due to Luis's situation, Fancy felt as if karma as paying her back for what she did to her sister.

Ivy barged into Sheridan's cottage and threatened her for attacking Fancy on the witness stand. The blondes yelled at each other. Ivy compared Sheridan to Julian and Alistair, and asked her what has turned her into "this vindictive bitch she has become." Especially, Ivy noted, since she has Chris and James. Sheridan informed Ivy that the Boothe boys left her. Ivy begged Sher to stop her bitterness and be the old Sheridan, the one Luis fell in love with. Sheridan promised not to let Fancy get away with turning Luis against her. "I was born a Crane, and I finally know what it means to act like one. I will not rest until Luis is mine," she said to Ivy, who warned her not to tell Luis about Pretty. Ivy left and visited Fancy, who was talking to her from the closet. Ivy told her daughter she realizes how ruthless Sheridan has become. Fancy came out donning her boyish disguise and told her mom she will do whatever it takes to see Luis. Ivy was concerned when she saw Fancy's face. "Your eyes are as cold and as calculating as Alistair's ever were," she noted.

In the passageway, Theresa continued to beg the half-man/half-woman not to kill Ethan. He grabbed her and made her watch the surveillance monitor to see the walls closing in on Ethan in a nearby chamber. Finally, the she-man pushed a button to make the walls stop, but it didn't work. The blackmailer was shaken up, and revealed he only meant to scare Ethan, not kill him. Meanwhile, Ethan climbed up on the wall and crawled through a vent just in time. The blackmailer demanded Theresa tell Ethan she will no longer be with him and that she must have Jared's baby — or else he will make sure Luis dies and Little Ethan's paternity will be exposed. Ethan could hear Theresa scream. Before Ethan dropped into the room, the blackmailer grabbed Theresa and led her elsewhere. Ethan chased them through the maze-like halls until he had her in his arms again. "We're never going to be together," she said. "It's over!"

While cooking for Noah, Paloma consistently poured hot sauce on the food. She worried about her brothers in jail, especially Luis, because cops are treated worse than the other prisoners. She told Noah that you can tell if you're meant to be with someone if they like the food you cook. Noah took a bite, acted as if was good, then secretly wiped his tongue with a napkin in disgust. Paloma tasted the meal and couldn't believe Noah was eating it. She thanked him for pretending to like it. Noah said he's there for her in good times and bad.

Ethan yelled Theresa's name while searching for her through the secret passageway. Theresa woke up and saw the half-man/half-woman's creepy clown mask and screamed. Ethan rushed toward her, while she begged the blackmailer to let her go. Instead, he/she pulled out a pocket knife. He stabbed the wall behind her, then shoved her through another hallway. Theresa banged on a metal door for Ethan. "Your recently deceased husband Alistair took paranoia to new heights. He had lots of secret hideaways built just like this," pointed out the blackmailer. When Theresa asked his/her motive, he/she replied. "I want Ethan! I want him! I want him! I want him!" Theresa pointed out that Ethan can't be forced to love him/her. That's why he/she was punishing Theresa, the blackmailer explained. "Whatever I have done, I am so sorry," she said, begging the masked person to help her brothers. "Tell me what you want me to do. I will obey you," Theresa went on. When she asked the blackmailer if he/she knew what love is, the she-man went on a tirade. "Nobody wanted me. They treated me like garbage. I tried to make them love me. But they didn't want me. Nobody wanted me. No one wants me. They laughed at me. Now I have nothing. No one." Theresa suggested they could help each other. He showed her Ethan's whereabouts via a surveillance monitor. "Ethan must die," he/she chuckled, noting Ethan doesn't love or want him either. A desperate Theresa promised to give up Ethan if he was kept alive. The she-man pushed another button and said, "Your deceased husband Alistair built an underground gallery of horror. Now it's time to use it." Ethan pushed through a door into a chamber with a shrine to him in it. Theresa screamed for Ethan to leave, but he couldn't hear her. The door shut behind him and the wall started closing in on him. Like MacGyver, Ethan pulled up a plank of wood from the floor and wedged it to stop the wall, then searched for a way out. "I would much rather see him dead than with anyone else," said the blackmailer as the wall started to close in on Ethan again. Theresa went off, calling the she-man a "sick freak" and screamed that it's no wonder nobody wanted him/her. "Are you a man or a woman? Do you even know? Or are you something weird in between?" The blackmailer curled up in pain.

Through the visitor/prisoner gate, Sheridan and Fancy pleaded with Luis to put them back on his visitor list. Fancy and Luis exchanged I love yous, before he was taken away. "That can't be the last time I see Luis," cried Fancy. Once again, Sheridan and her niece lashed out at each other until Fancy took off. While walking Luis back to his cell, the guard harassed Luis about his two blondies, then introduced the ex-cop to his new cell mate, a huge man named Harry. As soon as he stepped into the cell, Harry beat and kicked Luis, who tried to out-smart him.

Fancy arrived at the police station and was greeted by Sam. She informed the chief that Luis took her off of the prison visitor's list. Fancy told her boss she can't come back to work — ever! She recalled happy times with Luis in the station. She suddenly got a feeling that Luis was in danger. Meanwhile, Luis kicked Harry's butt so hard the big man ran scared. And like that, Fancy's feeling went away. Sam brought up that Sheridan used to have premonitions about Luis. "Yeah, I heard," she brushed off in annoyance. Sam asked Fancy to rethink giving up her badge, but she turned it in, along with her gun. He told her the job will always be there for her. She mumbled to herself that after her plot to get close to Luis, Sam won't want her to be a cop again.

At home, Sheridan remembered making love to Luis, kissing him in every room and taking a bath together in the cottage — back when she was sweet Sheridan. She called someone. "You know my voice, don't you? I have a job for you," she stated.

In a private prison room, Kay asked the guard to hold Maria while she talked to Miguel in private. Migs told Kay to stop loving her and tell Fox she wants to be with him. She refused to do so, and promised to be by Miguel's side. He told Kay to do it for Maria. Kay begged the guard not to take him away, but she had to.

Miguel asked his fellow inmate Steve if any rumors floated through the prison grapevine about who framed the Lopez-Fitzgerald brothers. "You and Luis are getting shafted by someone with a lot of power," Steve said (uh, tell us something we don't know Steve-o). Although Alistair was dead, Miguel felt all his problems were Crane's handiwork. Miguel showed Steve a picture of Kay and shared their love story. When he declared his innocence, Steve said, "That's what I told the cops when they found me shoveling the last chunks of my father into the incinerator." Steve advised that Miguel just give up on ever being free and let Kay and Maria go. Miguel could find company in the prison with the other inmates once the lights were out, Steve suggested.

Kay finally "woke up" Fox, who'd pretended to be asleep. He immediately went on and on about his treatment and wanting to spend his last living days with her. Still, she started to give him her breakup speech, but was interrupted by a nurse, who was there to give him his next "treatment." Julian arrived and told Kay to go home. In private, Jules told Kay that Fox needs her support more now than ever, and pointed out that Miguel will spend his life in jail. Back in his son's hospital room, Julian informed Fox that he purposely sent the nurse in to stop Kay from dumping him.

Sheridan and Fancy once again argued who is to blame for Luis being in prison. "I told you to leave him alone before you pulled him into that black, gaping hole where your heart should be," Sheridan growled. After a few more ugly words were exchanged, Fancy stormed off to see her imprisoned boyfriend, but Sheridan eavesdropped on their visit. " Oh, gag me!" she sputtered as the lovebirds gushed at each other. Fancy wished she had been able to make love to Luis before he was locked up. "Even the violinists are too nauseated to underscore this scene," Sheridan snarked to herself. Fancy refused to leave Luis's side and he snapped,"Leave. I don't want you coming back here." He doesn't want her to waste her life pinning over him, he explained. Luis said his good-byes, and Fancy noted she'd be back soon. She walked into the hallway to find Sheridan still there. Sheridan demanded to get the rest of her visitor hour with Luis. A guard informed the women that Luis took them both off of his visitation list. They barged back into beg Luis not to keep them from seeing them. "I love you, Fancy," he said with sad eyes.

Miguel was thrilled to see Kay and Maria during visitation hours. A female guard told Kay to follow her into another room. Kay was annoyed until the woman informed her she was letting Miguel into the room so they could touch.

An ax-wielding Ethan warned Theresa that the blackmailer was watching them and chopped down the wall leading to the secret passageway. He then tackled the cad, who marveled at Ethan's big strong hands. "You're not going to like the feeling of my big, strong hands when I'm beating the hell out of you," Ethan seethed as Theresa tried to call for security. "The phone is dead," she yelled. A booby trap of dirt fell on Ethan. "I've got the dirt on everyone. Even you," the blackmailers said to Ethan before dashing off. While finding their way through the secret passageways, Ethan and Theresa realized that's how the she-man got in and out of Fancy's room without being seen. Ethan suggested the blackmailer must be a Crane to know about the passageways, but was sure it wasn't Alistair. "You're right, Ethan. I'm not Alistair," whispered the half-woman/half-man to himself/herself. Ethan turned around to find Theresa missing. He tried to locate her; she was looking for Ethan. They were running around, as if through a maze. Theresa ran into the creepy she-male and passed out.

Sheridan arrived at Chris's hotel to see James, but he wouldn't let her. He suggested that James is the only reason she married him, and accused her of being more and more like a true Crane every day. Chris told his wife he will arrange for her to see their son, but not that day.

Theresa and Ethan made love, unaware the blackmailer was watching through holes in the wall. They talked about being meant to be together. While kissing Theresa, Ethan caught a glimpse of the blackmailer's eyes through the holes. He made up an excuse about work and took off. Ethan returned and told Theresa the creep was watching them. He then took an ax to the wall.

A weeping Kay gave Fox a speech about how/why she fell in love with him, but how things changed when Miguel returned. "I couldn't fight my feelings for him anymore," she cried. Kay admitted that she betrayed her husband. "You don't deserve this," she went on. Finally, she looked at him and saw that he was asleep. Of course, he was faking it. She decided to wake him up so she could finally break up with him. She shook him, but he didn't budge.

Miguel and Luis were booked into the state pen. The warden hit on Migs, and he other prisoners whistled as the new jailbirds walked to their cell. A guard took Luis out to see a visitor. Luis hoped it was Fancy, but it was Sheridan. "What are you even doing here?" he barked at her. He expressed his anger at her for making Fancy look bad on the stand during his trial. "You don't know her the way I do," Sheridan explained. "I don't know you. I'm beginning to wonder if I ever did," he responded. Sher went on about how they are soul mates and how she has lost everything. "I can't lose you, too," she sighed. She admitted she was wrong for pushing him away, then snapped at the mention of her niece. "To hell with Fancy," she yelled. Luis insisted she stop bad-mouthing Fancy and asked Sheridan to stop making her life miserable. A guard told Sheridan her visiting time was up. She argued that she had another 30 minutes, but the guard informed her Luis had another visitor. Sheridan and Fancy were annoyed to see each other there. Meanwhile, Miguel was introduced to his new cell mate, who said the word is the Lopez-Fitzgerald boys were set up. Migs was thrilled to hear the boys in jail knew that, and wanted more information.

In her bedroom, Fancy cried to her mom about the nightmare she's living through. "I can't lose Luis, mother," she said. Ivy told Fancy all about her love for Sam and why she had to marry Julian. She then pointed out that Sheridan has turned into an evil Crane, and pleaded her daughter not to do the same. "You cannot go to war with Sheridan over this," Ivy said.

Valerie called Chad to say Vincent was outside her place. She begged him to come over to save her. Whitney asked her husband who he was talking to. He claimed it was a work thing. Whit said she was going to check on Theresa, but Chad insisted she stay home to get rest. He made her promise not to leave. Really, he wanted her to stay in to be safe from Vincent. Once Chad left for the "office," Whit called a babysitter so she could see Theresa. Chad argued with Vincent outside of Val's place. Vincent threatened to tell Whitney about their affair unless Chad shows up for another rendezvous. Chad knocked on a frantic Val's door and told her he didn't see Vincent. Chad rushed off, but told her to call him again if Vince shows up.

As the nurse refreshed Fox's treatment, Julian paid her to make sure it was a placebo. Kay cried on Fox's shoulder. When Fox told her he didn't want her to see him getting the treatment, Kay agreed to leave his room. She didn't even kiss him before exiting. Fox asked Julian to fetch him something to eat. When he returned, Fox chowed down, then Julian left.

In the hospital, Jared wanted to be with his wife to comfort her about the verdict of Luis and Miguel's trial. Theresa, however, was with Ethan, who she stopped from kissing her. She freaked out about giving into him, which is against the blackmailer's demands. Ethan assured her that the two of them could overcome anything. The phone rang just as they kissed. It was Jared. He apologized about her brothers sentence. Kay, strolling through the hospital, overheard Jared on the phone. He said he wished she had come by to see him, and informed her he is being released the next day. Whitney arrived, so Theresa used that as an excuse to hang up. Ethan left the girls alone to talk. Whit couldn't believe Theresa was with Ethan, going against her vows, but more dangerously, against the blackmailer. Theresa told her friend she wants to end her marriage to Jared so she can be with Winthrop. Once Ethan returned, Whitney took off. Theresa informed Ethan what she shared with her friend, and they began to make love. The blackmailer watched through disguised holes in the wall.... Kay popped into Jared's room to chat. Casey realized she is in love with Miguel, not Fox. "You're right," she cried. Jared advised her to tell Fox the truth and stick with Migs, even if he's in jail. He compared her situation to his with Theresa, who he believes gave up Ethan to be with him. Kay returned to Fox's room and started to tell him she's leaving him.

Whit returned home a minute before Chad. She informed him she did go see Theresa. She filled her hubby in on Ethan and Theresa's relationship.
