In Mexico, an alive Theresa attempted to call Pilar. She got through, but
the connection was bad and Pilar couldn't hear her daughter. The government agent holding Theresa warned her not to let anyone know she's alive. Theresa believed that someone would rescue her, but the man replied that everyone thinks she's dead. Theresa was upset, but the man explained that by keeping Theresa "dead," he was protecting her family. Theresa disagreed that he was helping her loved ones. She offered him as much money as he wanted to let her call home. The man refused and said that she's staying put, reminding her how dangerous Juanita is. Theresa wanted to know how long she had to stay dead for. The man didn't have an answer for her.
Meanwhile, Gwen did her best to "comfort" Ethan on his loss and implored him to move on with her. Ethan agreed to be there for Gwen and their son. Gwen suggested a place where they could move to, but as she babbled, Ethan thought of a "dead" Theresa. Gwen could barely contain her enthusiasm as she planned for her and Ethan to be a family. Ethan told her that she's moving too fast. They were interrupted by Little Ethan, who had a nightmare. Little E explained that his dream was that Theresa was trying to get in touch with them, but a "bad man" wouldn't let her. Ethan tried to make Little E feel better. Later, Ethan told Gwen that he wants to adopt Little E. Gwen was shocked and concerned about bringing Theresa's son into their family, but Ethan was determined to do so. Ethan asked Pilar for her blessing; she was thrilled that Ethan wanted to adopt Little E. "It's almost as if you're his father already," she said, as Gwen seethed. When the ladies were alone, Pilar gloated to Gwen about the turn of events. Pilar accused Gwen of inadvertently killing Theresa.
Sheridan, dressed in a nightie, arranged her bedroom so it would be romantic for her and Luis. She hoped she'd be able to win back Luis, but was
frustrated when he was late for their "meeting." An impatient Sheridan finally got dressed and decided to find Luis herself.
Meantime, Paloma and Luis were alarmed to find Noah and Fancy by the docks together. Noah insisted it was one of those "strange" Harmony happenings. Fancy also couldn't explain why she was acting so strangely. Pretty hid and continued to control Fancy's behavior chip. Paloma was furious with Noah, even though he stated that he loves Paloma. Pretty again vowed to keep Fancy and Luis apart and came up with a plan that was extreme — having Fancy kill Paloma. She activated the chip and Fancy picked up a paddle that was on the docks. Later, Sheridan arrived on the docks and spied Pretty lurking....
Fancy hit Paloma over the head with the paddle, then cheered when Paloma
lost consciousness. Once Fancy regained control of her behavior, she couldn't understand what she'd done. Oops, turns out this was just Pretty's sick and twisted fantasy. Sheridan confronted Pretty and asked what the
remote control was for.

In Mexico, Theresa refused to play dead, but the government agent demanded that she do so to keep her family safe from Juanita. Theresa couldn't understand why the government wouldn't capture Juanita so she could have her life back. The man assured her that they're doing what they can. Theresa replied that she'd do anything to protect her family. She questioned the guy about his personal life, but he refused to share many details. Theresa wondered if there were a way she could secretly let her family know she's alive, but he again told her she couldn't. Theresa threatened to take her complaint to the President of the United States. Because George Bush doesn't have more pressing problems! Later, the agent allowed Theresa to watch her family via hidden camera, but still wouldn't let her communicate with them. Understandably, Theresa was not satisfied with this arrangement. After arguing some more with the agent, he locked her in the room. Theresa managed to find a window and escape through it.
On the docks, a hidden Sheridan and Pretty got into a catfight as Sheridan snatched the remote from her. Pretty explained about how Alistair had planted the behavior-controlling device in Fancy's head. Sheridan wasn't
even shocked by this. Pretty explained her plan to have Fancy kill Paloma so Luis and Fancy would break up. Sheridan wasn't so sure she wanted to help out, but Pretty believed it was the only way to get Luis back. After
fighting over the remote again, they accidentally hit some controls, which made Fancy go nuts and bark like a dog. Noah and Luis watched in horror, wondering what was wrong with her. Fancy's nose then began to bleed. "We need to call a doctor," said a concerned Noah. "Or an exorcist," added Paloma. Fancy then suddenly lost consciousness. The gang feared she was dead. Sheridan felt guilty. The guys tried CPR, but it didn't work. However, when Luis pleaded with Fancy to wake up and said he loved her, she finally
did, to everyone's relief. She couldn't remember anything, but had a headache. Paloma was touched by the fact that Fancy responded to Luis's love.... Pretty was furious, while Sheridan refused to help her commit murder. Pretty argued that Sheridan "owed her" by messing up her plan....
Fancy's scare made Noah and Paloma realize how much they mean to each other.... Fancy feared she had a brain tumor. Luis apologized for doubting her when she was acting oddly.... Sheridan was upset to see Luis and Fancy
getting along so well. Pretty again urged her to help her plot against Fancy. After, Sheridan tossed the remote into the water, which made Fancy launch into a coughing fit. Noah found a piece of the remote on the docks.

At Tabitha's, she and Endora hung out in the kitchen as the Demon Elf prepared a sneak attack. Tabitha and Endora kept watch to see if he showed up.... A happy Noah and Paloma arrived, announcing to Kay and Miguel that they're back together. Kay and Endora were thrilled, but Tabby didn't believe their relationship will work out. Kay wanted to go forward with the double
wedding, but Miguel thought it was too soon after Theresa's death. After, Pilar stopped by and was thrilled to hear the news of Paloma and Noah's reunion. Miguel explained that they were postponing the wedding, but Pilar didn't want them to do that. Tabitha continued to be antsy about the elf; her odd behavior made Pilar suspicious. Endora and Kay became nervous as Tabby tried to laugh off her claims about an elf. Pilar noted the strange
rumors about Tabitha and wondered if she's a witch. Paloma argued that the whole town was weird. No kidding! Pilar agreed that something seemed "not right" about Harmony and Tabitha.
In the Crane mansion, Rebecca and Gwen went through Theresa's belongings, throwing them out. However, Rebecca decided to keep one "souvenir." Rebecca
noted that Gwen needed to erase all traces of Theresa because Theresa's memory was a threat. Soon, Ethan arrived and was aghast to see them digging through the items. Gwen explained that she was trying to keep Ethan from having to do the horrible task himself. Ethan didn't understand what Rebecca was doing there since she hated Theresa. Rebecca put her foot in her mouth
as she began randomly babbling about how much she loved sharks... which was, of course, what allegedly killed Theresa. Ethan later fantasized about being with Theresa again. Gwen urged him not to dwell on Theresa's "death," but he had a difficult time letting go.
Theresa managed to jump out the window of the government agent's office in Mexico, but Juanita was lurking right outside. Theresa hid behind a crate as Juanita approached the area. Juanita questioned a police officer about Pilar and the gang's whereabouts and was furious when he said he didn't know. She slapped him and demanded that he find them immediately. Juanita again vowed to kill Pilar and her loved ones. Later, the officer heard Theresa lurking behind the crate.
