Y&R Recaps Week of Oct. 17, 2005

Friday, October 21, 2005
Sheila's plot to finish off Lauren by injecting her IV with poison was foiled when a nurse walked in. Sheila slinked off, and then Scott finally came to visit his mother. The doctor revealed that Lauren may have had an allergy to some chemical, which is an understatement. Back at the hotel, Sheila vowed to kill Lauren next time, then Tom came home. "Having a tough time, are we?" TT drawled. He suggested they work together as he slobbered all over her neck. Yuck.

Sharon and Bitchtoria got into it again. Nick called Brad on the carpet for letting the spokesmodel audition go "all downhill." "You have an awful lot to learn about Newman Enterprises," Nick patronized, calling him a "student."

Brittany mourned Bobby, hoping it was all a dream. Nope. "Damn him!" she railed, for leaving her. She proceeded to cry Genoa City a new river.

Tom tried to get Gloria to work with him to prove Michael framed him.

EOE (end of episode), Mac came home and found J.T. comforting Brittany on the couch. Brad gave Victoria a pair of diamond earrings. Nick announced to Victor that it's time he came back to Newman Enterprises. Look out, Bradley!

What city is Gloria from?

Phyllis told Gloria to beat it when she stopped by the Abbott manse to see Jack and discuss the situation with Daniel. Later, John asked to see the receipts from the wedding. Uh-oh!

Christine coached Daniel as he prepared to be sentenced for jumping bail. Daniel came before the judge and apologized for all the pain he's caused. The DA didn't go for blood, but the judge still imposed a penalty — one year probation and community service.

The spokesmodel auditions continued. The press wondered if Sharon had a leg up (so to speak) since she's a Newman. Nick accused Bitchtoria of trying to set Sharon up. Brad defended his new girlfriend. Ashley interrupted, which made everything more tense. Brad asked Ash why he hasn't heard from her lawyer and if she's changed her mind about getting a divorce. "No, Brad, I'm not asking you to give our marriage another try," Ashley insisted. Then she brought up his dating.

Lauren couldn't get Sheila out of her mind, as Michael helped her sip water from a straw.

Sheila threatened Tom's life in jail (is there anyone left in GC who hasn't threatened TT?!). Tom was set free and headed straight for the Abbott house where he thanked Gloria for springing him. Then he accused her son of planting the drugs.

EOE (end of episode), Sheila — syringe in hand — visited Lauren at the hospital...

Lauren woke up in the hospital and immediately flashed back to Sheila on the roof. Lauren asked where her necklace was and wanted to put it on again when Michael took it out of a plastic baggie. Lauren finally revealed that she was up on the roof with Sheila.

Terrible Tom called Gloria from jail, looking for "the old man," a.k.a. John. Gloria shared the news with Ashley in private, then went to see "Jennifer." Glo wanted Jen to spring TT.

Dru berated Brad for "rolling up on my husband's turf" and changing the venue for the spokesmodel auditions without keeping Neil in the loop. At Newman, Dru then learned about the marketing research group coming in to judge, which was arranged by Bitchtoria. The auditions commenced with the women — including the boss' wife — being paraded out in bikinis. Sharon nailed it, much to Victoria's chagrin.

Neil and Nick had Brad's number.

Jill got a call saying Bobby was dead — from a hit and run. Brittany was stunned and devastated, and lashed out at Jill. She accused Jill of faking the call because she didn't want Brittany to take Joshua away.

Ashley went to see TT. After she left, Jennifer showed up.

Nick pounded away at Brad — I mean, the punching bag — at the GCAC. Phyllis interrupted him and gloated about beating him at poker (or was she flirting?). Phyllis gave him a pep talk, trying to persuade to get back to wheeling and dealing at Newman. "Find a reason to be driven again," she urged. "I may have already. His name is Brad Carlton," Nick replied.

Sharon rehearsed the spokeswoman script for Brad. Victoria interrupted and acted like a bee-yatch as usual. Sharon went home and also gave her pitch to Nick, only they sexed it up a little as they tried the oils and lotions on each other.

Ashley asked Jack for the name of his attorney when he divorced Phyllis, because it's over with Brad. Jack wondered if she was making the right decision, or was she just lashing out because Brad is seeing Victoria.

Neil couldn't deal with Victoria backing Brad's decisions at Newman. Dru asked him if he's considering moving to Jabot.

J.T. and Brittany bonded over the baby, no josh(ua)ing. Brit asked J.T. what Bobby told him, but J.T. didn't level with her.

Lauren almost took a flying leap off the roof (imagine if Michael was looking out the window and saw his fiancée tumbling through the air!). Michael found the note that she was on the roof, so he headed up there finally and saved her. Michael didn't search the roof — duh! — otherwise he would have seen Sheila.

Sheila — dressed like the killer from Scream only without the mask — terrorized Lauren on the roof while Mikey played poker with the boys (and gal — Phyllis). Sheila's voice switched from her own to Lauren's to a monster's, then to Michael's. Sheila tried to get Lauren to jump off the roof. Don't do it, Lauren!

Christine broke the news to Daniel that he has to go back to court for jumping bail.

Jack ran into Neil at the GCAC and tried to lure him to Jabot. Next up, Jack warned Nick about Brad. "For better or worse, I was once your stepfather," Jack reminded him, adding that he cares about Nick and Victoria. "For what it's worth, I thought you were a pretty good stepdad," Nick admitted. Aw.

Phyllis — or "Red," as Nick called her — cleaned out the guys at the poker game. The gang, minus Nick, who went to the gym, ended up at the coffeehouse. Daniel to Phyllis: "Mom, you smell like a cigar bar." Then he informed her that he has to go back to court. Phyllis jumped up to give Christine a piece of her mind, but she later apologized to her son's lawyer. Phyllis went to the gym and admired a sweaty Nick pumping iron.

Devon snuck out of the house and went to Crimson Lights, where he asked Kevin for a job — full time.
