Y&R Recaps Week of May 8, 2006

Devon told Drucilla he's sorry she's fighting with Neil. He believed that everything would work out. Soon Neil arrived. Devon offered to make them chicken and waffles, but Neil turned it down. Devon then shared that he spoke with Yolanda, who's doing well. He stated that even though they're having problems, he still feels he made the right decision in staying with them.
Mackenzie gave Katherine a present for her to remember her by. Kay was touched by her granddaughter's gift. Meanwhile, Gloria was shocked when Kevin told her about Mac's plans. She worried about her son, but he said he's okay. He shared that he told her how he feels, but Mac isn't in love with him. "Is there anything I can do?" Glo asked. "Yeah, find a way to keep Mac here," sighed Kevin.
Lauren and Michael, as well as Kay and Mac, joined Gloria and Kevin for Mother's Day. Glo loved the tasteful scarf that they and Kevin gave her. Soon Jack arrived and was surprised to see Gloria had company, namely Kay. He told Kay that despite their differences, she's welcome.... Mac ran into a passive-aggressive Gloria. She suggested that Mac not keep in contact with Kevin. He asked what they were talking about, but Mac evaded the question... Ashley and Abby joined them. Ash was surprised when Abby revealed that Victoria took her shopping.... Glo and Kay discussed how difficult it is being separated from people they love. Gloria admitted that sometimes she misses John so much she has trouble getting up in the morning.... Jack and Michael talked about the Gibson case, but Lauren interrupted them. When Lauren turned down alcohol, Jack realized she's pregnant. Michael took the opportunity to tell everyone their good news. Gloria toasted them.
Sharon and Nicholas admired some cards that Cassie had made for Mother's Day. Sharon recalled how all she'd wanted for the holiday was to be with her kids. She grabbed Noah into a hug as she said this. He then gave her a "coupon book" filled with "coupons" for things like, "One day of no complaining." Awww. Nick then revealed that he wants to put together a benefit in Cassie's honor and would like Sharon to help him. She thought it was a great idea.
Victor tended to an injured Nikki. She asked him to distract her from the pain; he shared that he's made a donation to the Women's Center in Genoa City Hospital. She was moved by the gesture and kissed him. Later, Sharon, Nick and Noah joined them for the holiday. Nikki asked her grandson to make her a coupon book like he'd made Sharon. After he left, the Newmans asked their children if they were going forward with their separation. They were devastated when Nick revealed that he's soon moving out and worried about how it would affect Noah. Nick insisted that he's not walking out on his son. Nikki urged them to give it some more thought. The men and ladies then separated, and Sharon had it out with Nikki. She told her mother-in-law not to blame her, but to remember that Nick is the one who cheated. Nick implored his folks not to butt in. Victor explained that nothing comes before his wife and children and that he's reinstating Nick and Victoria as Newman's CEOs. Sharon was surprised he changed his mind.... Nick told his mom he's suspicious of Vic for suddenly doing this, but Nikki believed he was sincere.
Over at Phyllis's, Daniel and Lily gave her muffins for Mother's Day. They didn't believe her when she pronounced them delicious. She explained that she would've been satisfied with a card or phone call, and was even happier that Daniel had actually come to visit her. The teens assured her that they're surviving. Phyllis admitted that she worries about them and called Lily her daughter. Lily was pleased. After, they went to visit Drucilla. As Lily caught up with her parents, Devon told Daniel that it would've been better if she'd come alone. Lily and Daniel then had a cute, little debate as she teased him about how many muffins he'd eaten. Lily freaked out when Dru joked that they were arguing like an old, married couple. "We're not arguing," her daughter insisted and bailed. Wow, someone's sensitive! Neil blamed Dru for making her leave.
Alone, Phyllis rehearsed telling Jack she's pregnant. "I know one thing, I never thought I'd be a mother again and I was wrong. I've been given a second chance," she said out loud. Her monologue was interrupted by a call from none other than Jack. He filled her in on Michael and Lauren's news and noted how babies always make people happier. Phyllis didn't take this as an opportunity to share her news.
The show ended with a slow-mo montage of the following: Kevin giving Mac a sad, lingering look; Abby hugging Ashley; Mac chatting and laughing with Kay; Phyllis admiring her sonogram and then putting her hand on her belly; Sharon hugging Noah; Victor giving Nikki a flower and kissing her; Dru breaking down after finding a Mother's Day card from Neil in the trash.

Phyllis sat at the GCAC bar and thought about the news her doctor had given her — that she's pregnant. She still wasn't sure she believed it. Gina came over and took her order — and was surprised Phyll didn't get her usual. Phyllis then made another doctor's appointment. Soon, Nicholas ran into her and also razzed her about her unusual order. Phyllis shared that she's stepping in at NVP while Nikki recuperates. Nick wished aloud that he'd done things differently because he's worried about Noah and regrets having to move out. After, Gina confirmed that his room at the GCAC is ready, but he didn't know how long he'd be staying. Later, he offered to help Daniel at work, but the teen understandably turned him down.
At the oh-so-frozen Winters' home, Drucilla tried to get on Neil's good side by making him breakfast. Yeah, that will work. Neil shut her out and left for work. Meanwhile, at Newman, Daniel told Lily that what's done is done and it's out of her hands. He had faith that Neil and Dru would work things out... Devon and Neil went to the GCAC. Devon wondered what was bothering his foster dad. Neil revealed how he's not Lily's biological father, but is actually her uncle. Devon worried how Lily is taking it... Lily fretted over how her parents' fight would affect Devon. Later, Devon called her to see how she's doing. Lily revealed how she'd unintentionally sent an e-mail which led to Neil finding out.... At work, Dru tried again to explain herself to Neil. He still wouldn't listen to her.
Mackenzie returned home from the reservation and joined Katherine for lunch. Mac shared that she's not actually staying in town. Kay didn't understand why Mac would walk away from her problems and the coffeehouse, but Mac was sure that Kevin could handle it on his own. She explained that she wants to go to New Orleans to help with the reconstruction that still needs to be done post-Hurricane Katrina.... At Crimson Lights, Kevin filled an order which just happened to be the same as Phyllis's! Mac soon arrived hiding under a baseball cap and teased Kevin by pretending to be a rude customer. He was thrilled to see her, but stunned when she explained that she's not coming back (and is basically just up and abandoning him at work without even giving him two weeks' notice. Nice). Kevin pleaded with her to stay, calling her his best friend. He then stated that he's in love with her. Mac replied that she doesn't feel the same way, and then pulled the old, annoying, "You'll find someone." Way to rain on his business and his life in one day, Mac.
At Jabot, Jack assured Jill and Kay that Jabot is his first priority. Kay asked Jack if he'd thought at all about stepping back from the company, but he refused. After, he went to see Phyllis and complained about Jill and Kay, a.k.a. "Dragon Lady".... Gloria put down Jack to Jill and Kay while simultaneously sucking up to them. Good move, Glo.... Jack met with Andrew Gibson and asked to make amends. Jack gave him a sincere apology, but Gibson wouldn't accept it.
Phyllis went to see the doctor and was happy to learn that she actually is pregnant. She fantasized about having Nick's daughter. In her vision, she and Nick kept telling each other how "amazing" the other is (Who does she think they are — Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes?). In real life, she got an ultrasound (from a doctor, not Tom Cruise) and was relieved that the pregnancy was going well. Her doctor informed her that she's eight weeks pregnant ... meaning that it could be Nick or Jack's child. Oh, man, said Phyllis's expression (or should that be "Oh, men?").

Drucilla and Neil argued over her having had an affair with Malcolm. Clueless Lily then interrupted them, blurting out, "You'll always be my father!" Uh-oh. "What the hell is going on here?" Neil demanded to know, asking why Lily had sent that e-mail about Malcolm. Lily explained that she was angry with Dru. Neil wouldn't buy it, noting that she'd put Malcolm's name on the consent form when she and Daniel wed. As he looked into a shaken Lily's eyes, it dawned on Neil what this was really about — that Lily's not his daughter. "Oh, my god," he said quietly. "I'm not your father. Malcolm is." Neil embraced his niece, Lily, as she sobbed. "Dad..." she began hesitantly. "It doesn't matter to me. It doesn't." "You'll always be my baby," he replied, asking for some alone-time with Dru. He then let his wife have it. "Look at what you did to that girl," he said in a calm voice. "Don't tell me you never meant to sleep with Malcolm. Don't tell me anything because I'll never believe a word that comes out of your mouth." Dru pleaded with him to yell at her and said that she and Malcolm never wanted him to know the truth. Neil couldn't understand why she told Lily; Dru explained how Lily had overheard Phyllis mention it. Dru insisted that Neil is Lily's father. "I wish you'd wrap your arms around me and hold me and tell me everything's gonna be okay," Dru sobbed. "Everything that happened between Malcolm and me — it was a mistake." "I feel like the last 17 years of my life have been ripped apart. You knew that there was a possibility [that Lily wasn't my daughter]," he replied.
At Victoria and Brad's wedding, the seriously slow-talking preacher (wasn't that a SEINFELD character?) began the service. The couple was surprised and pleased to see Victor and Colleen walk down the aisle together. They then recited their own vows. "Today we embark on a journey. A journey that will take us to many new places," was the Hallmark-inspired sentiment which Brad stated in a whispery voice. "This day that we thought would never come is finally here," Vicky said in hers. "You were there through some of my darkest hours and it was then that I saw what a wonderful and caring man that you are. No one has brought to my life what you have." After, Slow Preacher pronounced them man and wife. As they completed their vows, Sharon and Nick sadly looked on, no doubt thinking of their own marital problems. As the newlyweds kissed, the camera panned around to various faces in the crowd, showing their reactions: an unsmiling Nikki and then Victor (complete with the distracting Band-Aid sitting in the middle of his forehead. Seriously, Victor, who earned that injury from saving Nikki from a thug wouldn't wear such a dainty bandage — he'd have a big, manly, gauzy head-wrap); Colleen looking resigned; Phyllis looking wistful.
After, in the bridal suite, Victoria offered to talk to Nick for Sharon, but Sharon didn't want to ruin their day. Vicky thanked Sharon for supporting her and Brad.... In the church, Colleen gave her dad a halfhearted congratulations, noting that J.T. convinced her to attend.... Victor explained to Nikki that he'd changed his mind about attending because he wanted to protect his daughter.... Outside, Nick ran into Phyllis, who looked absolutely gorgeous in a rather modest red dress (for her, anyway), with her hair pulled back. The ex-lovers exchanged some small talk, then Nick revealed that Sharon wants a separation. Phyllis sincerely told him that she hopes he and Sharon will work things out. Nick called Phyll his best friend.... Sharon congratulated Brad. He told her he's sorry for what she's going through with Nick. When she began to cry, Brad told her she's "amazing" and hugged her.... At the reception, Noah was reluctant to play with Abby, for fear that Nick won't be there when he returns.... Brad tried to make peace with his new father-in-law, but Victor snubbed him. Nikki urged him to accept the olive branch; Vic responded by toasting the new couple. Later, Nick informed Victor that he and Sharon are separating.
After the wedding, Jack argued with Carmen over her plan to help Jabot, but Carmen had the final word. Phyllis sang Carmen's praises: "Not many people can go toe-to-toe with you and win." Jack apologized to Phyllis for abandoning her during the whole Jabot fiasco, assuring her that he "adores" her. Later, Phyllis got a call from her doctor and couldn't believe the news he was giving her. "There's no way I'm pregnant," she stated.
Paul and J.T. discussed the investigation of Brad. J.T. felt uncomfortable doing this since he and Colleen made amends. Paul urged him to go ahead, and was anxious to go through the records they'd received. Nice to know that J.T., budding Ace P.I., has such a lack of curiosity. Paul noted how Brad never liked to discuss his upbringing. They finally went through said file and learned that Brad got into trouble for some minor crimes. They then found a photo of some mullet-sporting dude who shared Brad's social security number ... and was called Bradley Carlton. "If that's the real Brad Carlton," concluded Genius J.T., "then the one who's been living in Genoa City all these years isn't who he says he is." No kidding, Sherlock.

Nikki took a pain pill before Victoria and Brad's wedding. Hmm....
Sharon fantasized about Brad. Enter Victoria, who had asked Sharon to be her matron of honor. Sharon was all torn up when Victoria called Brad (who later assured Nick that he's only Sharon's friend). At the church, Sharon ran into an alone Brad. But before they could talk, Nick came in. He wasn't thrilled when Victoria told him Sharon was the matron of honor. Sharon got emotional when she tried on her dress, but covered with Victoria. When Victor wheeled Nikki up to the church, she asked him to reconsider walking Victoria down the aisle. He refused. Sharon again found Brad by himself. Alas, Ashley and Abby interrupted before they could talk. Finally, 42 minutes into the show, S&B finally got to talk. He rejected her — gently.
Jack informed Phyllis that he was asked to "adopt a lower profile" at Jabot and Chancellor. Phyllis said she didn't want to go to Brad and Victoria's wedding, but Jack convinced her to attend. At the church, you could cut the tension between Nick and Phyllis with the wedding cake knife.
Crybaby Colleen refused to go to the wedding unless J.T. changed his mind and went with her. Lily also told her she should go. Colleen finally agreed when J.T. changed his mind about attending.
Dru chastised Lily for the e-mail debacle. Enter Neil, who didn't come home the night before. "You betrayed me," he yelled. "I didn't want that boy!" Dru spat. Then he started to put the pieces of the puzzle together. "Something doesn't add up here. That e-mail...what did she mean? How does Lily factor into all of this?" Then Lily stormed in and hugged Neil, telling him he'll always be her father BEFORE Dru could tell him the truth.
EOE (end of episode), Victor walked Victoria down the aisle after all (aw!), while Sharon couldn't keep her eyes off Brad....

Nikki called Phyllis and asked her to take her place at a meeting at Newman since she's in the hospital and couldn't make it. Nikki warned Nick that Phyllis hasn't left the building. When Victoria arrived, she asked Victor if he's changed his mind about giving her away. No dice — he still didn't think Brad was the right man for her. But Nikki pleaded with him to change his mind.
Victoria informed Brad that Colleen isn't going to be her maid of honor. At the loft, Colleen begged J.T. to go to the wedding with her.
Katherine demanded that Jack work with the new pretty PR girl, Carmen. "You have a very serious problem," Ms. Mesta remarked. Jack was snippy, but then impressed (smitten?) as she began to outline her plan. She suggested Jabot solidify the NVP deal right away, since Newman has a great reputation. She also suggested that Jabot work with Chancellor Industries' charity. "Jack has become the story," she added. "Take him out of the equation." Jack was appalled.
Neil grilled Lily about the e-mail. She stormed out, ran into Daniel and tried to hunt down Dru. Nice try — Dru came shimmying into Neil's office cheering about a meeting she just had. Neil made her read the e-mail. "What happened between you and Malcolm?" Neil asked. "Did you sleep with my brother? What about before Paris? I'm right — you and Malcolm had an affair." "It only happened once," Dru confessed. "It was a misunderstanding," she protested. Neil stormed out, not buying Dru's "I was drugged" explanation.
Nick and Phyllis had a chat. He shared that he and Sharon are separating. Sharon walked by and spotted them talking, and then ran back to Brad's office to tell him Nick has been cheating on her. With Phyllis. "I'm leaving him," she announced. She started to ask him if he wanted her back, but then Victoria walked in and asked Sharon to be her maid of honor. Oops!
