At the GCAC, Maggie beat it so Paul and April could have some one-on-one time. April asked her ex why he had to inform Heather of her true paternity. "I think it's important for her to know who her father is," he declared but Heather called and asked her mother to meet her at Crimson Lights — sans Paul. April left and Maggie returned to advise Paul to "take it slow" with his daughter. Paul and Maggie then heard David having an angry conversation on his cell. "I don't have the money," David raged. "How many times do I have to say that before it finally sinks in? So back off! I'm getting sick and tired of you pushing me." Paul asked Mr. Chow if everything was okay and David claimed he was upset about a business call.

After hearing about Heather's meeting with Jana, Kevin was hopeful that his girlfriend would be freed. "This is really, really good news," he chirped to Jana while visiting her in jail, but she was afraid to get her hopes up. Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Adrian got upset when he heard that Heather suggested that Colleen write a letter to support Jana's cause. "I am never gonna be okay with your taking Jana's side," Adrian huffed.

J.T. tattled to Nikki that he observed David having a heated argument with a stranger the night before. Nikki later asked David about it at home and he claimed he was confronted by a nosy reporter. Nikki bought his story and even thanked him. Nikki then tried to pay some bills but found out that Victor had frozen all of her assets.

J.T. got a call from the hospital that Reed's condition had changed. A worried J.T. rushed over to find out that they were taking his son off the respirator because his lungs were doing so well.

At the coffeehouse, Daniel asked Heather out to dinner but before she could answer, April showed up. Heather made introductions and Daniel left them alone. "The last thing that I need is parental drama, which is exactly what you'll create by being here," Heather complained. "Honestly, I wish that Paul never told me he's my father." April apologized for not telling her daughter sooner, then urged Heather to "just walk away from all of this. Come home with me. Get away from Paul." Heather refused so April advised Heather to "rethink" things with Paul if she was going to stay. Heather insisted that he would have to earn her forgiveness.

Jeffrey pressured Gloria to choose their honeymoon destination but she reminded him that they needed to prolong their engagement because Michael was very suspicious. Jeff announced that he already talked to his future stepson who now knows Glo is being blackmailed. "We're getting married. Now!" Jeff demanded. Defeated, Gloria suggested they elope in Las Vegas so Jeffrey ran off to book their flight. Glo tracked down Kevin and told him about her elopement plans. She stressed to Kevin to come up with a scheme to frame Jeffrey for her attempted murder by the time they come back from Vegas.

At their apartment, Michael fumed to Lauren that Jeffrey confirmed he was blackmailing Gloria. Michael thought about finding some dirt on Jeff. "I wonder if William kept a journal, diary, something," said Michael. Later, Gloria told her son she was going on a "business trip" but he didn't believe her and decided to follow her.
