Y&R WEEK OF NOVEMBER 17, 2008 RECAPS

At Crimson Lights, Heather informed Adam that she got some new information on Frank Ellis, unaware that he was the forger whom Adam and Jack had hired to write Victor's diaries. After she left, a panicked Adam called Jack and warned him that they had a problem.

Also at the coffeehouse, Jana and Kevin explained to Lauren and Michael why they couldn't attend Katherine's funeral. After, Kevin questioned Heather about who'd get money of Kay's that wasn't in the will. He was intrigued when she noted that if the money was in cash and no one knew about it, it was "finders keepers." Kevin later pocketed a large wad of cash.

At Kay's packed service, Amber informed Daniel that Phyllis wanted to call a truce. Also present at the funeral was Nina, Dina, Traci and Liz. Everyone was shocked, especially Nikki, when Victor arrived. "Well, this should be interesting," declared Brad. Jill held back tears as Kay's son Brock gave a moving speech. "Katherine Chancellor never shirked from her responsibility to give back to her community," he stated. "And all the gifts that she received over her lifetime, not once, never did she ever take them for granted. She's such a classy lady. I'm gonna miss her terribly. She was an angel on earth. Now she's an angel in heaven." Liz then made a speech: "Katherine was a very rich woman. Not because she had a lot of money, but because her life was full of love." Next Billy and Cane said some words, as well as Esther and Amber. "It's hard for me, making friends. I am pushy and I'm loud and I pretty much wear my heart on my sleeve," Amber said. "But from the moment I met her, Mrs. C. accepted me, just the way I am." Finally, Jill spoke. "God knows, given our history, Katherine wanted to kill me many, many times," she said. "Ain't it the truth?" Nina whispered. "But despite our differences, she loved me," Jill continued. "And I loved her. We had a funny way of showing it sometimes, but we loved each other and, where I made my mistake was thinking that she'd always be there and I could apologize to her later for misjudging her at times and then, now, not being there for her when she needed me."

During the funeral, the camera panned around the room and everyone's thoughts were heard: Nikki thanked God for bringing Victor home safely and prayed that God would help her deal with her heartbreak.... Sharon wished she could ask the late Kay for advice on how to handle her failing marriage to Jack.... Neil asked Drucilla to watch over Kay.... Jack was furious at Victor returning and asked God for help in dealing with him.... Ashley prayed for Victor to get the strength he needed to deal with his life.... Gloria asked John to take care of Kay..... Lauren regretted not getting a chance to say good-bye.... Dina thought that Genoa City was turning out to be much more interesting than Europe.... Victor vowed to get revenge on those who'd wronged him. Later, Devon and Ana sang "Amazing Grace" as everyone placed flowers on the coffin. Jack did a double take as he spied Ashley holding Victor's hand. Nikki broke down and Paul comforted her.... After the funeral, Victor disappeared. Again.

Murphy found an unconscious Marge — really Kay — by a river bank. Kay soon awakened and asked who Murphy was. Murphy wanted to take her to a hospital, but she freaked out and refused. "I want to go home," she insisted. Murphy helped her back to his house. "This is not my home," Kay told him.
