Murphy and Kay shopped for a Christmas tree. While decorating the tree, Kay remembered a tree in a "big lovely home." When Kay suggested they make a toast, Murphy wondered if she had been a "queen or a duchess in another life." Kay thought the word "duchess" sounded familiar. Murphy commented that Marge (really Kay) was "a totally different person." They served cookies to the carolers and then kissed under the mistletoe.

Lily told Billy she had made plans to meet "Sonny," and asked him if he thought "getting together with Sonny was a good idea." Online dating is the wave of the future, Billy assured her. Lily and Billy talked about the V8 "Feeding America" display and both made a donation. Lily apologized to Billy for always talking about Sonny. Billy thought it was great that Lily could confide in him. Lily shared that she was a little nervous about meeting Sonny, and wondered if perhaps Sonny was too good to be true. Billy thought if she was truly apprehensive she should cancel. Lily thought about it and decided to meet Sonny anyway.

Nikki visited Victor in his cell with papers requiring Victor’s signature. She showed him photos of Summer's recent birthday party; he was sorry he had missed it. Nikki brought him up to date on Adam's arrest. Their conversation grew tense when Nikki hinted about "what happened in Mexico." Victor snapped that she knew nothing about what happened... "And you will never know. Do I make myself clear," he snarled. Their argument intensified when Nikki denied she was judging Victor and made it clear that she, Paul, Nicholas and Victoria were working their hardest to get Victor out of jail. Nikki announced that she would no longer let Victor make her crazy and left. After Nikki said Merry Christmas, Victor reminded her Sabrina's baby had been due at Christmas. "You cannot wash their blood off your hands. Now get out," he snapped.

The bartender from Mexico and his little daughter paid Victor a visit. In Spanish, her father promised to keep Victor's secret.

Heather introduced her two new witnesses, freshly arrived from Mexico, to the judge. They would prove that Adam was guilty and connected to the forgery of Victor's diary. Adam, also in the courtroom, pled not guilty. Rafael told his client Adam that they had to rethink his defense. Adam continued to claim his innocence and offered "information about Jack Abbott and his involvement with this diary."

Heather met with Adam. Adam didn't know how Heather could put him behind bars if she loved him. "How could you love me and do this to me?” he asked. "I did this because I have a conscience," was his ex-fiancé's reply. Adam vowed not to forget this. Heather wept in front of Paul, who told his daughter how proud he was of her. At home, Heather found a gift she had wrapped for Adam and sobbed on her bed.

Nikki caught up with Paul at the coffee house. She sensed that something was bothering him. "I haven't known you for 30 years for nothing," she said. Paul told Nikki about the arraignment. Paul wished Heather had learned about Adam before she had gotten romantically involved with him. "Victor's son — what a bad apple he turned out to be," Nikki observed. Paul pointed out that the fact that Victor still gets to her says a lot about Nikki's feelings toward her ex-husband. Paul told Nikki that he didn't find enough evidence to connect Victor to Walter Palin's murder. Nikki thought it was time for them both to "let it go." Paul asked Nikki for the 411 on their relationship. "Is it developing into something else?" he asked. "I am right where I wanna be," Nikki smiled.
