At the Newman manse, Victor and Ashley made small talk with the recently returned Nikki. They gave her an update on Noah and they discussed Brad's devastating passing. Nikki was clearly uncomfortable at seeing Vic and Ash celebrating Valentine's Day. Vic revealed that he'd offered Ashley a seat on the Newman Enterprises board of directors. Nik feigned happiness for her rival and departed. "Awkward!" Ash noted and then chided Victor for telling Nik the news too soon because it's not a done deal. She noted that she's flattered, but needs to discuss the offer with Jack before she can accept the Newman seat.

Clint and Annie continued to hold Kay hostage. Clint removed her gag and, calling her Marge, noted how well she's imitating Kay. Kay promised him that she's telling the truth about her identity and surmised that the DNA test results prove that someone really doesn't want her to be Katherine Chancellor. Later, Annie told Clint she drugged Marge and advised him to get rid of her, adding that she's just a poor waitress and not worth a dime. Clint explained that they need to keep their look-alike around until after Roger marries Esther so they can cash in on the Chancellor ransom for Kay. "I got screwed out of that fortune once; it's not going to happen again!" he added. Later, Kay woke up and tried to strike a deal with Annie, adding that she'd pay up big time if Annie helped her escape. Annie couldn't be swayed by the ploy and fibbed to Clint who reminded Kay, "The minute I don't need you, you're gone." Kay tried to plead her case again, then remembered kneeing Clint in the groin years ago before he was carted off to jail. Clint was taken aback and wondered how "Marge" knew that had happened.

Meanwhile, Jill noted to Paul that Marge deserves the trap she set for herself after denying the DNA testing for so long. Then she said she's not planning to prosecute her for fraud, explaining, "How am I supposed to heal if I have to keep confronting that woman? I don't think it's worth it. I just have to pray that that Marge creature will get hers." Then Paul explained that he still hasn't found anything on shady Roger. Jill was miffed, saying she hoped the DNA test would keep them from getting hitched. She called Cane to tell him the news of the DNA test, but no one answered. She wondered where everyone, including Chloe and Billy, had disappeared to.

At the Abbott cabin, Chloe woke up but was obviously in shock. Cane introduced her to her child. When an emotional Cane inquired what Chloe was doing at the cabin, Chloe said she was cold. Cane passed the newborn off to Lily so he could help Billy fix the generator. Chloe, meanwhile, passed out. Outside, Cane confronted Billy about why both of them were secretly headed to the cabin. Lily called them back inside and pointed out that Chloe's bleeding hasn't stopped. Everyone worried about Chloe's hemorrhaging. Cane implored Chloe to stay strong and told her that everything would be okay. They finally decided to use a toboggan to transport Chloe to the main road and seek help. Lily grabbed a lantern, cradled the baby and they departed.

At Crimson Lights, Roger and Ester decided to elope for Valentine's Day. Esther admitted she wants to rub her bride-to-be announcement in Jill's face, but Roger tried to persuade her otherwise, saying it'd make a bigger statement if she announces her marriage to Jill after they tie the knot. Later, the betrothed left to see Jill, anyway. She implored Esther to wait to get married, to no avail. They left to catch a plane; Jill was miffed.

Nikki surprised Paul and they quickly retreated to bed together. Post-lovemaking, Nikki admitted she resents Ash's new Newman position but noted that she's more happy being with Paul.

Jill rushed out to catch Esther before she left the building, explaining that she just got a call about Chloe giving birth at the cabin and she's headed to the hospital. Esther was stunned and left with Jill. Roger, meanwhile, wasn't pleased to have his wedding plans so unexpectedly shattered. He called Clint, saying the Vegas wedding is off because of Chloe's baby. Clint demanded he find a way to marry Esther and soon.

At the hospital, Cane, Lily and Billy fretted over Chloe. Olivia marveled at how brave the trio was to battle the snowstorm and rescue Chloe. The doctor entered with an update, saying that the baby is in great health but Chloe needs an operation to remove pieces of the attached placenta that's causing her to bleed. He signed consent paperwork that also stated he's the baby's father. Lily and Billy exchanged wary looks. Before she was wheeled into surgery, Chloe flashed back to meeting Billy for the first time in New York and later letting him feel the baby kick. The nurse noted that her condition is worsening. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang showed up to the hospital and met the new baby. Esther was thrilled; Cane held his daughter. Then Dr. Okamura entered, saying that Chloe's surgery is complete and was given a blood transfusion but her state of shock might have been too much.
