At the Newman Ranch, Ashley was doubled over in pain and screaming that she didn't want to lose the baby. Victor swept her into his arms and whisked her off into the waiting ambulance. As soon as they were out the door, Adam dashed up the stairs. In his room, he called Rafe and asked to be picked up and for some disposable phones. He thumbed through a scrapbook he intended to use to scare Ashley. He took off his ankle monitoring device, and slipped out the back window.

Once Ashley reached the hospital, Olivia checked her for a fetal heartbeat. She announced that she had heard a strong and steady heartbeat, but ordered an ultrasound to be on the safe side. After studying the ultrasound, Olivia declared that both Ashley and the baby were fine, but that she needed to stay at the hospital overnight to rest. Victor phoned Victoria and explained about Ashley. He asked her to go to the ranch, to be there when Abby came home. Victor thanked Olivia for taking good care of Ashley.

Abby entered the ranch and wanted to know what was happening. Victoria filled her in about Ashley, but said not to worry. Abby insisted on calling Victor anyhow. Victor told her everything was fine, but that Ashley would have to stay in the hospital overnight. J.T. said he would stay at the ranch overnight with Abby. After Abby went to her room to do homework, Victoria decided to go up and check on Adam. She knocked on his door, but he didn't answer.

At the hospital, Adam slipped into Ashley's room and silently planted the scrapbook in her purse. The door closing behind him awakened Ashley, who noticed a book sticking out of her purse. She opened it to find pictures and memorabilia about Sabrina. She was terrified and was breathing erratically when Victor entered. He took the scrapbook and was startled when he saw its contents.

Meanwhile, Lily and Cane had met Neil, Tyra and Devon at Indigo to share their photos and stories about their honeymoon. Everyone was happy for them, but Devon was obviously upset. Once Lily and Cane had him alone, he admitted that Neil and Tyra's relationship bothered him. Lily didn't understand why, since they were both single. Devon admitted that he was angered by how fast they were going, and that Tyra had lied to him all his life about being a blood relative. He then showed them the letter written by his mother to his father. He announced that he wanted to begin searching for his father. Lily pointed out that he would have to track down Yolanda to do that. Devon remained determined, despite Lily advising him that Neil was the best father he could ever ask for. Neil and Tyra discussed how Ana would be affected by their relationship. Tyra said that Ana had already admitted she wanted them to be a couple. They agreed to be honest with Ana, and tell her they were dating, but that they didn't know what the future held. After Lily and Cane left Indigo, Devon approached Neil and offered him an apology for his behavior. Neil said that he was partly to blame for not being forthcoming about his recent choices. Devon hugged him and told him that he was still the best man he knew.

At Restless Style, Phyllis and Jack discussed their situation. "Sharon's pregnant, but I'm the one who feels like throwing up!" Phyllis exclaimed. Phyllis asked Jack why no one ever calls Sharon out on her behavior. "If I had done this, I would be stoned to death in the town square!" she cried. Jack pointed out that the two of them were far from perfect, and advised her not to act hastily. Phyllis told him that they should be "very scared" because Nick and Sharon were keeping secrets from them. She wondered why she insisted on trying to compete with the emotional pull that Nick and Sharon obviously had with each other. Jack said that the answer was simple: that she loved Nick.

Phyllis proclaimed that she DID love Nick — more than she had ever loved any other man. She was quickly embarrassed when she realized that her statement included her former husband, Jack. Jack took it in stride, though, and held her while she cried on his shoulder. She was upset with herself for being one of those "wimpy women" that she despised, but Jack comforted her and told her that he was there for her. She told him she knew he wanted to be a father badly. "So badly, I can taste it," Jack admitted. Phyllis said she hoped the baby was his — for both of their sakes.

Nick arrived at the Abbott mansion to see Sharon. He announced that he was going to tell Phyllis the pregnancy secret. Sharon begged him not to, saying that it would wreck his marriage for no reason if Jack was the father. But Nick insisted that he should have no secrets from Phyllis. He then informed Sharon that if the baby WAS his, he would not allow another man to "play daddy.’ Sharon assured him he would have a place in the baby's life if it was his, but that she could not be involved with him. Nick explained that he cared very deeply for Sharon. They almost kissed, but stopped themselves. Nick left to find Phyllis.

Nick arrived at Restless Style to talk to Phyllis. He told her that because they had promised to be honest with each other, he needed to tell her that Sharon was pregnant and that the baby could be his. Phyllis pretended to be surprised, and was genuinely upset and very angry. Nick apologized for hurting her. "What are you gonna do now, Nick?" Phyllis spat.

Jack went home and found Sharon sitting alone in the dark. She confessed that she had told Nick about the pregnancy and that Nick wanted to raise the baby if it was his. Jack said that it was okay — that he already knew she had told Nick, and that Nick was a good man for wanting to take responsibility. Sharon then shared that there was a third man who could be the father. Jack told her that he already knew about Billy too. Tearfully, he told her that he wished she had been the one to tell him about Billy. "Why don't you hate me, then?" Sharon cried. Jack told her that he had made too many of his own mistakes to judge hers. He begged her to just accept a life with him, and tried to convince her that it could be beautiful.
