Nick, Phyllis and Noah arrived at the Abbott mansion, all wearing bright colors for Colleen's funeral. Phyllis told Katherine that Summer is improving every day. Kay took Nick aside and expressed her condolences over Sharon losing the baby. Soon, Billy, Mac, Traci, Jack, Ashley, Steve and J.T. arrived. Jack and Ashley were thankful that John didn't have to struggle with Colleen's death, but also wished he were there to meet Faith.... Chloe arrived with a gift from Jill, explaining that Jill was covering for Neil at work. Chloe told Billy that even though she and Colleen weren't friends, she always appreciated Colleen being the maid of honor in Sharon's place at her and Billy's wedding.
Doris met with Sharon at Crimson Lights and was saddened to hear about the baby. She believed that Sharon could help Nick mourn, but Sharon noted that he has Phyllis. Sharon then shared that she was planning to spread their baby's ashes by herself. Doris urged her to invite Nick. After Sharon left for the Abbott cabin, Doris called Nick and filled him in on Sharon's plans.
Neil and Devon came to Cane and Lily's to pick up Lily for the funeral, but she didn't seem to be in shape to attend. Her doctor told her that she wouldn't be able to go to the memorial. After, Cane took care of a devastated Lily and tried to talk some sense into her. He assured her that the Abbotts would understand why she couldn't make it. Later, Cane gave Humphrey the dog a bath so Lily could be with him. She cheered up a bit.
At the hospital, the doctor told Victor and the Newmans that Victor was doing well. Victor was sorry that the Abbotts had to deal with Colleen's death. Nikki took his hand and could feel his pulse. "You have an Abbott heart inside of you, beating ... after all these years and all these feuds," she noted. Victor believed that their feuds would only intensify, but Nikki didn't think they'd ruin Colleen's memory with bitterness. She was sure that Jack had a say in allowing him to get the transplant. Victor wondered what the news was saying about him, but Nikki insisted that Victoria and Nick take care of all the press surrounding his condition.
At the memorial, everyone went outside, where the yard was decorated like a party.... Mac admired the pictures of Colleen that Billy had taken.... Billy stated that Cordelia was going to hear all of the stories about Colleen.... Kevin, Daniel and Jana told Traci and Steve how much Colleen meant to them.
Traci was thrilled when Daniel gave her a drawing he'd made of Colleen.... Abby tried to keep her composure.... Neil and Devon arrived and explained why Lily couldn't make it.... Phyllis urged Nick to be with Sharon. Noah was about to join his dad, but Abby asked Noah to stay with her. Nick asked Phyllis if she was really okay with him leaving. "You need to do this," she said. Later, Billy addressed the crowd and tried to hold back tears as he reminded them, "Colleen was about joy, about making us laugh and about cheering us up. So we're going to honor her life with smiles and laughter." Next Traci reminded everyone that Colleen is now with Brad, so she's not alone. "She was so much braver than I am, and so much more adventurous and so much more forgiving," she stated. "Colleen touched so many lives and is continuing to do so." She then shared how Colleen's organs are helping various others to live. "She's making miracles," she said, before breaking down in Steve's arms.... Victoria arrived, dressed in pink, and asked if she could read a letter from Victor. Traci welcomed her, to Billy's chagrin.
Victoria read, "On this tragic day, my family joins with yours in mourning your daughter, your sister, your niece and your friend. We share your sorrow, and at the same time, we are filled with gratitude that somehow, in the midst of unbearable suffering, you found the strength and compassion to spare our family and so many others the same pain. There could be no more fitting tribute to the beauty of Colleen's spirit, and at this very moment, she is bringing joy and relief and hope to dozens of people — everyone she saved and all of those who love them. We are her living legacy. She will never be forgotten. Every time I hold my newborn daughter in my arms, I will think of Colleen. Every moment I spend with my grandchildren and my children, I will remember that she made it possible. And I will hold her forever in my heart." The crowd was silent, but Jack looked surprised by Victor's words.... J.T.'s speech was brief, but he recalled how Colleen had changed his life.... "I could not say no to her smile," Jack said, then shared a funny story about how his niece had gotten him to do a Latin exercise video with her — and even did some steps for the crowd! Everyone laughed.... Ashley's speech was more tearful as she relayed what a great older sister Colleen was to Abby. "Now I have a little sister, and I just want to be as good to her as Colleen was to me," Abby said.... Neil spoke on Lily's behalf, while Devon held up his cell phone so that Lily could hear. "Colleen always looked out for my girl, even if it meant getting into trouble herself," said Neil. "When Lily was diagnosed with cancer, Colleen was the best friend she could ask for." Lily cried in Cane's arms as she listened in.
Abby thanked Victoria for being there and for sharing Victor's letter. Victoria replied that Victor planned to take good care of Colleen's heart. J.T. confided to Mac that he was amazed that Traci let Victoria read Victor's letter since Victor had been out for Colleen when she was alive.... Kay assured Colleen's spirit that she was in good hands up in heaven, with John there.... Kevin made a speech about how Colleen had given him a second chance.... Victoria was very understanding about J.T.'s statement to Mac. Still, she defended Victor, reminding J.T. that Victor went to the lake
intending to save Colleen's life. "I know he's not an easy man to love, but I love him," she said.... Billy told a story about how Colleen took him to a museum and saw beauty in the paintings that he didn't understand. "That's how she saw us," he said. "The more time you spent with her, the more you started to see it her way, and you believed you saw beauty in yourself".... At the hospital, Victor's condition suddenly took a turn for the worse.
In a montage, Sharon was surprised when Nick arrived at the cabin.... Nikki broke down as doctors rushed to tend to Victor.... Cane, Lily and Neil released a red balloon in Colleen's honor.... Billy regarded Colleen's photo, then joined the rest of Colleen's family and friends as they all released balloons into the sky.
