Y&R Recaps Week of Feb. 13, 2006

Friday, February 17, 2006
Gloria, looking like a Dalmatian in an over-the-top jacket, got scolded for trying to burn John's coat, unaware that it had already been tested. Gloria blew a gasket when Paul arrived and revealed the blood matched Tom's. Enter Gary Ewing — er, Will — who STILL wasn't convinced of John's guilt, and he accused everyone of "being up to their necks" in this. Then the cops came to arrest John, but Will charged Ashley with being an accessory and obstructing justice as well. John went ballistic — and for Will's throat. Gloria broke down.

Daniel and Colleen kissed for Dru's sake. Dru spotted Lily and grilled her about where she's been and whether she saw Daniel. Dru also mentioned (of course) that Daniel and Colleen were making out, so Lily called Colleen on it afterward. Colleen said she had to do it to convince Dru (yeah, right), then vowed to win back J.T.

Neil overheard Nick and Phyllis "arguing." The boys later went to eat (and talk with their mouths full) at the GCAC. Daniel went to see Phyllis, then ran into Nick when Nick returned from the club. Nick told Phyllis about this girl — Debbie — he was crazy about when he was 13. He realized he's in a little deeper than he thought with Phyllis, and that he feels like a 13-year-old kid again. "We can't keep kidding ourselves, this isn't just physical," Nick insisted. Two words: "You're married," responded Phyllis. Two words: "I've fallen," Nick shot back. Phyllis freaked and ran out.

Jack broke the news to Jill that John won't be returning to Jabot. He blamed Gloria for ruining his father's life, and announced he's taking charge of Jabot again.

Victoria and J.T. flirted at the coffeehouse.

Katherine came out of hiding to bring Mac soup. Mac revealed she's pregnant!

Colleen approached J.T. outside of Crimson Lights, but he wasn't exactly friendly toward her. Col stated that J.T.'s changed into "some guy [she] never thought [he'd] be until [he] was old." Ouch! J.T. insisted that he's still a "manly man" and to prove it, eyed a girl walking by for Colleen. "This is the first time I've been slammed by a girl for not checking out another girl," he told her. J.T. insisted that his and Mac's relationship was uncomplicated and that's why they're good together.

Kevin cared for Mackenzie, who was suffering from stomach problems. Kevin tried to get her to eat. Mac responded by gagging and running to the bathroom (pleasant imagery considering this show runs during lunch for many viewers). "I wonder if J.T. would take care of you," Kev mused. "One washcloth and suddenly, he's Sir Gallahad," joked Mac, as Kevin placed a cold cloth on her forehead. Mac became angry when Kevin challenged her about her relationship with J.T. Both apologized to each other. Mac thanked Kevin for being a good friend and told him that whoever Kevin ended up with would be a lucky woman. Later, Mac prepared to take a home pregnancy test.

John, Ashley and Paul worried about what would happen to John. John assured his daughter that he'd be fine. Soon, Gloria returned with the telltale coat and prepared to get rid of it. She might also want to consider trashing the dalmation-inspired jacket she was wearing, which made her look like a pretty Cruella DeVille. Glo promised John that everything would turn out "better than imagined," but John was ready to prepare for the worst.... Ashley admitted to Paul that while she's concerned for her father, she's also relieved she won't have to go to prison. Paul told her John is doing what he believes is right. Ash thanked Paul for his support. Later, Gloria rubbed her hands together as she stared at the crackling fire in front of her. She admitted that his coat wasn't in the lab; John quickly pulled it from the fire.

Neil and Drucilla came home and wondered where Lily and Devon were. Dru, as usual, fretted about her daughter, but Neil reminded her that Lily can't be kept in a cage. Well, they had good reason to be wary. Lily was at Gina's, busy making out with Daniel. The teens thanked Gina for letting them hang out at her place; Gina let them know that she wasn't exactly happy with the arrangement. They didn't really care and basked in the glow of being together again. Phyllis and Jack went to Gina's. Uh-oh. Gina blocked them before they could catch Daniel and Lily. The teens were relieved. Later, Dru and Neil arrived. Double uh-oh. Colleen, who'd come to Gina's, stalled Dru before she could catch them, but Dru did see Daniel. Colleen pretended Daniel was with her.

Meanwhile, Phyllis told Jack about John's involvement in Tom's murder. Phyllis was sympathetic as she listened. Jack blamed Gloria for all of his family's problems. Later, Phyllis apologized to Nicholas for standing him up. She told Nick straight up about meeting with Jack and promised that she wouldn't lie about meeting with her ex. However, she was amused that Nick was obviously jealous, and declared Nick her friend/lover. Phyllis reminded him that they couldn't do it in the office, because that was one of their rules. Phyllis became upset when Nick called their relationship "complicated." Neil then knocked on the door, wondering what on earth he was overhearing.

Lily was thrilled when Drucilla and Neil told her she can attend G.C. High. She assured her folks that Daniel won't be a problem. Devon promised to take care of her, but she was furious when she learned he read her letter to Daniel.

Daniel asked Colleen to help him out so he and Lily could continue to see each other. Later, he went to see Gina and asked her to help him and Lily sneak around. Gina reluctantly agreed and brought Lily to meet him. The teens happily embraced. Daniel feared Devon would say something to Neil and Dru since he read the letter, but Lily trusted Devon.

Mackenzie worried about J.T. and Colleen being "friends." J.T. promised Mac that he'd set Colleen straight about his and Mac's relationship. After, at Crimson Lights, Kevin lamented to Mac how he hadn't had anyone to spend Valentine's Day with. Colleen then arrived. "So much for enjoying the morning," Kevin sighed. Sure enough, Colleen blamed Kevin's family for the Abbotts's problems. Later, J.T. came to the coffeehouse, but brushed off Colleen when she tried to be friendly.

Sharon saw Phyllis buying lingerie and assumed it was for Jack. Sharon told Phyllis about her and Nicholas's anniversary plans. Phyllis tried to act as if she actually wanted to hear about it. Sharon then asked Phyll how she and Jack were doing and wished the couple well. Later, Nick invited Sharon to work on the spa project. Sharon was pleased they'd all be working together. Nick blanched when Sharon mentioned that Phyllis and Jack are "handling" things. As soon as Sharon left, Nick checked his cell phone messages and listened to one from Phyllis saying she had to cancel. Nick concluded that she was dealing with Jack.

Jack and Gloria fought over Jabot. John then told them that Ashley recanted her confession and that he took a lie detector test. John stated that with that and the other evidence (the blood on his coat, which was being tested at a lab), it proved he did shoot Tom. Glo blamed Ashley for the situation. Later, Gloria arranged to get John's coat back before it could be tested. Alone, Gloria thought of a radical way in which she could protect her husband.

Paul presented the evidence of Tom's blood on John's jacket. Will still wasn't convinced, especially when he took a look at John's driver's license and saw he and Tom had the same blood type.

Victoria informed Nick and Sharon that she called off her engagement to Brad. Nick left to go back to the office to see Phyllis. While they were talking, a delivery man showed up with roses — from Jack. He also gave her a hatchet, suggesting that they "bury it." Cute. Nick thought it was transparent. Jealous? Nick left and returned to the ranch, where he gave Sharon tickets to Paris. Back at the office, Jack showed up and promised Phyllis he'd always be there for her.

Mac gave Daniel a cookie for Valentine's Day. He kept up the charade that he and Lily were over (as did Lily).

Colleen wondered if she and J.T. would still be together if she were more mature when they were together; J.T. had no comment, then left to take Mac to the V-Day dance at the GCAC. Lily secretly called Daniel to tell him to go to the club, too. Daniel showed up arm-in-arm with Colleen, much to the Winterses' dismay (except for Lily, of course). Nick and Dru both cornered Daniel and Colleen separately and tried to find out if they're an item. Devon spotted Daniel whispering something to Lily, who covered. Colleen got bitchy with Mac.

Victor and Nikki gathered the family for a special Valentine's Day dinner. He gave her uncut diamonds as a gift. Ding-dong — it's the delivery man with flowers for Victoria from you know who.

Lauren was relieved Michael didn't turn over the evidence of his part in the drug plant. She took him to Fenmore's where she brought out a Christmas tree and New Year's Eve noisemakers, to make up for the holidays they missed. Aw...

Sierra caught Devon doodling at Crimson Lights, and gave him more grief for not giving Daniel Lily's letter. Meanwhile, Lily and Daniel reunited and shared a kiss. Colleen caught them and confronted Lily after Daniel left. Later, Devon thanked Lily for not beating up on him for not giving Daniel her letter. Then he asked her out for Valentine's Day; she said yes.

Jill informed Jack that Jabot needs John back. Enter Phyllis, who apologized to Jack for earlier and said she should have been more sympathetic. Then she asked if he'd drop the suit. No dice, Phyllis. She returned to the office, where she gave Nick a V-day present — a Game Boy.

Michael brought the evidence that he was behind the drug plant to Will. But before he could fork it over, John came banging on the door. He barged in and said Ashley is ready to back up his confession that he killed Fisher, stunning Michael. When Will still didn't believe John, the Abbott patriarch demanded a lie-detector test. John "passed" with flying colors. But Will still wouldn't arrest him. Then Paul showed up, "with exactly what you're looking for."

Nick and Sharon discussed Valentine's Day plans, and decided on the Colonnade Room. After Nick left, she went to chat with Brad, who informed her Victoria called off their engagement.

J.T. forgot it was Valentine's Day, but covered with Mac.

Nikki told Victor that Victoria dumped Brad. Later, Brad went to talk to Victoria, who said she still loved him. Victor walked in just as they embraced.

Lauren turned to Paul, devastated that Michael was going to the police.

Phyllis asked Victor if he and Nikki will go ahead with the wellness project even if Jack stops her from being involved. But she needn't have worried — the injunction was shot down by the judge.
