Y&R Recaps Week Of Feb. 20, 2006

Friday, February 24, 2006
John's hearing began. "You must be sorry you married me," cried Gloria. "You are my wife and I love you," John assured her. Daniel, Colleen, Brad, Jill and Katherine all showed up to show their support. Jack was angry that John didn't take the judge's first offer, and lashed out at Michael. Jack was stunned when Victor showed up to speak on John's behalf. Colleen spoke first, then a melodramatic Gloria, then Jill, then Katherine, then Victor, then a very emotional Ashley, then, finally, a remorseful John. Michael presented John's medical records, indicating he won't survive prison, and he suggested that anybody placed in John's position with Tom Fisher would have been tempted to take similar actions.

Sharon informed Victoria that Nick and Phyllis were stranded in a snowstorm. Victoria found the keys to the new SUV Nick bought Sharon for their anniversary, and suggested that Sharon use the vehicle to drive up and see Nick. Instead, she took her first drive with Brad.

At the motel, Phyllis and Nick discussed John's situation, giving Nick an opening to bring up the fact that she spent the night with Jack last night. She changed the subject, and soon they were having sex. Afterward, they discussed how serious this is getting.

EOE (end of episode), the judge returned with his sentence: SEVEN YEARS!

Phyllis spent the night with Jack but they didn't have sex. She went home and couldn't get Nick out of her mind. Sharon was disappointed in Nick...for not kissing her goodbye on their anniversary before he left for work. Later, Nick decided to go on a business trip with Phyllis — despite this being his 10-year anniversary with Sharon — and they got stranded in a snowstorm.

Mac continued to hide her pregnancy from J.T. Kevin reasearched on the Web how to combat morning sickness. Awww.

Dru gave Lily the third degree about where she was last night. Sierra covered for her. Later, Dru talked to Devon about his feelings for Lily. Like Neil, Dru didn't think it was a good idea. At Crimson Lights, Daniel told Lily glowed after their make-out session the night before.

Colleen got into it with Kevin again, blaming his mother for ruining her granddad's life. Then she tried to make more inroads with an unimpressed J.T. She started to sulk over John, garnering more sympathy.

John told the family he cut a deal with Will to protect Ashley. Ashley was devastated. Jack blamed Gloria, who almost fainted when John said he could get 20 years.

Dru, Lily, Neil and Devon ate at the GCAC. Neil noticed Devon has the hots for Lily, who left the table to call Daniel. Later, Neil had a talk with Devon about Lily. Spoil-sport Neil advised against getting involved with his foster sister. Devon boldly asked Neil if there's any guy who's good enough for Lily. (Touché.) Meanwhile, Daniel and Lily were sucking face at Daniel's apartment. He wanted to have sex with her, but she was worried that Phyllis would come home. Daniel called Phyllis to see if she was coming home; she said she was staying at Jack's. Whew!

Victor tried to comfort Ashley. "Talk about no good deed going unpunished," she moaned. Ashley questioned her judgment as a parent.

J.T. spotted a guy with a camera at Crimson Lights and wondered if he could be Colleen's stalker. Later, J.T. saved Colleen from the photog and she gave him a big hug, calling him her hero. Colleen then sneaked off and paid the "stalker."

Phyllis let Jack cry on his shoulder. Jack thought she'd make a great spokesperson, even better than Sharon. Little did he know he was putting his foot in his mouth!

Michael tried to plea-bargain with Will. Michael explained to John the difference between involuntary and voluntary manslaughter. Then he proceeded to give his opening argument in court in front of only John and Will. Will agreed to give John involuntary manslaughter. John had another request: All charges against Ashley to be dropped. When Will refused, John agreed to plead voluntary manslaughter if the charges are dropped against Ashley. Deal!

Mac spotted the napkin Lily was doodling on, but Colleen covered again for her friend by spilling coffee on it. Mac started to cramp, but wouldn't come clean with J.T. about the pregnancy. J.T. questioned Colleen re: the stalking incident; she felt he was trying to get information about her love life. Kevin went to the loft to see Mac, who confessed she's pregnant.

Jack tried to call in a few favors to help his father, to no avail. Katherine joined him and Jill and reported that the situation with John has been a huge blow to Jabot.

Nikki, Victor, Victoria, Nick and Phyllis had a meeting about the wellness center project. Phyllis was taken aback when Nick changed his tune about selling Newman products at the spas. Later, Nick encouraged Victoria to get back with Brad, and Victor and Nikki called Phyllis on throwing them a curve during the meeting and questioning the business proposal. "Something is up with her and I'm going to find out what it is," Victor vowed after Phyllis left.

Brad berated Ashley for lying to him — and their daughter. Since she still could go to jail, he offered to still postpone the divorce.

Gloria and John met with Michael at the GCAC to discuss the case. John left the table to join Jill, Jack and Katherine and revealed he's resigning as chairman of the board. Gloria overheard and threw another fit.

EOE (end of episode), Nick told Phyllis that tomorrow is his and Sharon's 10-year anniversary, and then she got a call from a distraught Jack; Kevin offered to take Mac to the doctor's; Colleen hugged J.T.; and Will informed Michael that there WON'T be a plea bargain for John.
