A naked Phyllis and Nicholas were on the couch kissing (What happened to beds?), when Daniel came home. In split-screen mode, Phyll whirled around, hair flying, as the door opened. Meanwhile, on the lower screen, a grossed-out Daniel's mouth fell open. Poor kid. Which is worse? Walking in on Mom having sex on the couch where you probably watch TV, or walking in on Mom having sex with the married man who's become your mentor? Phyllis tried to "talk about it" with her son, but he understandably didn't want to stick around and fled.

Nick followed Daniel to Crimson Lights, where Sharon also was. Daniel told them that he's quitting as Noah's assistant coach. After Sharon stepped out, Nick tried to calm Daniel, but the teen wouldn't hear of it. Phyllis then called, but Daniel ignored it. Sharon came back in and noted the tension between the guys. Daniel couldn't even look at her as she told him to "[not] be a stranger."

Dru continued to fret about Lily's whereabouts. A moving screen then took us to Lily (Did the special effects crew get a discount today or something?), who was contemplating her situation. After, Dru questioned Colleen about her daughter; Coll explained that no matter what they do, they won't be able to change Lily's mind about Daniel. "She's crazy about him," said Colleen. "Crazy being the operative word," replied Dru, who begged Colleen to convince her friend to come home.

Neil met with Christine (Hello, Cricket, it's been a while.) and asked what his legal rights are regarding Lily. Chris bristled when Neil insulted Daniel, reminding him how the teen has tried to make amends for his past misdoings. "Maybe Daniel has changed," Neil allowed, then went on to list how Lily had changed for the worse since meeting him. Chris reluctantly explained how he could get the law involved with his Lily problem.

Sharon met with Dru for work. Dru confessed to Sharon that Lily running away is her worst nightmare. Sharon pointed out that everyone makes mistakes and Dru should just be glad her daughter is still alive. Dru didn't think she and Lily could fix their relationship; Sharon stated that it was possible since she and Nick have fixed theirs.... Daniel told Jack he's sorry for everything that's happened between Jack and Phyllis. Jack noticed that Daniel was looking glum; Daniel lied that it was only Lily he was concerned about.

Victoria tried to talk to an obviously stressed Nick, but he bit her head off. After, Phyllis called Nick, who reported that he'd seen Daniel. Phyll was desperate to talk to her son. Daniel came home and bitterly told her that he's ashamed, and wondered how long the affair has been going on. Phyll said it's over. "Did you even think? What would happen to Sharon and Noah? Did you even feel guilty?" he yelled. "What about Jack?" "I don't know ... I don't know what I was doing," sobbed Phyllis. "That's ridiculous. You guys hated each other a couple of months ago," he countered. "I think that's why it happened," she concluded. "Why were you sleeping with him?" asked Daniel, realizing that every time they'd visited the Newmans, it was under false pretenses. "I never wanted to believe the things Dad or Christine said about you, but after this, I can see they're right," he went on, crying. "You destroy people's lives. You can't even control yourself. You're a hypocrite. You told me it would be morally wrong to have Lily come and stay with us when you're having an affair with a married man. We love each other and we have a commitment with each other, and Mom ... we're honest with each other, which is more than I can say for you right now." "You can't tell people the truth," Phyllis tried to explain. "It's just not worth hurting them."

Brad flashed back to Sharon telling him about Victoria sleeping with J.T. (making this three editing tricks). Back in the present, he sat with Victoria in her office ...when J.T. walked in. Gulp. "It seems like you're holding something in," Vicky astutely noticed. "Oh, you know me, I'm full of secrets," replied Brad. Smooth one, Carlton. Later, J.T. came to see Colleen and Brad told him to stay away. "It's not what it seems," J.T. lamely protested. "You mean you didn't sleep with my fiancée?" asked Brad. "Okay, it's exactly what it seems," J.T. lamely amended. Later, J.T. told Vicky that Brad somehow knows about them.... Colleen couldn't understand why Brad suddenly didn't want her dating J.T. Brad shared that J.T. had cheated on Mac.

Victor and Jack discussed Gloria. Jack told off Vic for getting John to give her his proxy. Meanwhile, Glo gave Ashley her assignment and thanked Ash for giving her the opportunity. After Ashley stepped out, Gloria tried on some cosmetics, and a young man stopped by to give Ash a report. Glo took it and realized that the project she'd been given was bogus.... Victor met with Ashley and revealed that he'd learned about Jabot's new moisturizer from Jack.

Kevin filled in his mom on the goings-on between Mackenzie and J.T. Glo thought Kevin would have a chance with Mac. She then told Kevin about her new job and how Victor had helped her. Kev warned her to be careful when dealing with Victor. Gloria explained that she needs his help because despite everything she's done, Jack and Ashley haven't accepted her. She angrily told him how Ashley had given her a fake report to work on ... and relished the chance when she'd be able to get revenge. "They have treated me like an idiot from Day One and it's time I set them straight. I'm going to find every piece of dirt I can on Jack and Ashley Abbott ... and what I can't find, I'll make up," she stated.

Neil was angry when Dru allowed Lily to stay at the Carltons for breakfast, and went to get his daughter. Colleen told Neil that Lily had left earlier that day. Neil returned home and learned that Lily hadn't come there either. He concluded that she was with Daniel and reamed out Dru for allowing their daughter to spend the night with Colleen. Dru couldn't understand why he wanted to send Lily to boarding school when she's going to run right back to Daniel in a few months when she turns 18 (Good point. And did Neil ever think that part of the reason why Daniel is so appealing to Lily is because he keeps telling her to stay away? Thats, like, taught in Teens 101). Neil stated that Dru is afraid of Lily and wanted to know what was going on. Dru explained that she remembers what it was like when she was a teen — and that she ended up running away from home. Later, Devon noticed that Lily's suitcase was gone.

Phyllis comforted Daniel, who was depressed over Lily returning to boarding school. She told him how proud she is of him and Lily for doing the right thing. Daniel wasn't so sure. "I finally got her back and I have to lose her all over again," he sighed, noting that he's paid for all of the "stupid" things he's done. Phyllis again explained why she couldn't let Lily stay with them. Later, Lily met up with Daniel and they discussed their situation. Daniel urged her not to tell Neil about Malcolm because it would kill him.

After Neil left, Coll said she felt sorry for Lily, while Brad felt for Neil. He admitted to having misjudged J.T. back when Colleen had been dating him. Brad thought about Victoria sleeping with another man and warned Colleen to be careful when trying to reunite with J.T. Colleen was pleased that her dad and Vicky had worked things out, but was a little wary of Victoria's trustworthiness. Later, Victoria called for Brad and Coll answered. She warned Vicky not to hurt her dad.

At Crimson Lights, Gloria and Ashley discussed Jabot. Ash gave her an assignment, which Glo happily accepted ... though she was then disappointed when she saw that it wasn't a particularly exciting task. Later, Gloria met with Victor to discuss business. Vic revealed that he's the one who'd encouraged John to give Glo his proxy. Gloria practiced that sucking up Nikki said she's so good at by pronouncing Victor a "legend."

Paul met up with Ashley at the coffehouse. She gave him a "relationship starter kit" so they could get to know each other better (but haven't they known each other for decades already?). They agreed that they're good for each other ... and then arm-wrestled. How romantic!

Brad went to see Sharon and informed her that Victoria told him about her fling. Sharon then spilled the beans about J.T. being the guy. Nice move, Shar! "Wait ... wasn't he dating Colleen?" a clueless Sharon went on to point out, trying to soften the blow by adding that Victoria didn't seem to have real feelings for him. Brad was willing to forgive Vicky. Sharon was surprised that he'd give Victoria another chance.

Nicholas stopped by Phyllis's place. After chatting about their kids, they agreed that they could no longer see each other. Phyllis admitted that her feelings for Nick went beyond their affair; he confessed to the same. Nick prepared to leave, but ended up tripping and falling on Phyllis's lips, er, kissing her. They then had sex (on the couch, naturally) "one last time." Phyllis became tearful as Nick stroked her hair (with his wedding band glittering in the light). As they kissed again, Daniel returned home. Uh-oh!

"Is there anyone in this town who doesn't know I slept with J.T.?" Victoria asked Nikki ... just as Brad (excuse us, Bradley) walked in, looking not-too-pleased. To her credit, Vicky didn't beat around the bush and immediately admitted that she'd slept with another man. "I didn't tell you this to hurt you," she went on to an obviously hurt Brad. Um, how did she expect him to react? Brad wanted to know who it was, but she evaded his question.

Colleen told J.T. she was sorry he and Mackenzie broke up. J.T. didn't buy her sincerity. Coll explained that she cares about J.T. so she doesn't want to see him hurt.... Mac planned to move out of the loft. Kevin tried to comfort Mac, but she told him to stay out of it. Later, she and J.T. had an awkward meeting as they discussed her moving out her stuff. The two shared a sad good-bye.

Lauren prepared a dinner for Michael, Ashley and Paul, but Michael was not in the mood to dine with Ashley. Meanwhile, Paul encouraged Ash to go ahead with the "friendly" get-together. The four ended up meeting after all, and Michael and Ashley exchanged nasty words about Gloria. Lauren warned Ash about Paul's meddling mom, Mary, (say that three times fast), but Paul admitted that he hadn't yet told Mary they were dating. When Laur stepped away, Ashley questioned Paul about this. Lauren broke up their budding argument when she arrived with dessert. Mmm ... dessert. After, the foursome actually began to have fun, though Michael didn't really agree with Lauren when she later pronounced the evening, "Not so bad." "Compared to what?" he asked. "Being locked in a bomb shelter with a madwoman?"

Neil was furious when he learned that Drucilla let Lily see a "friend," or in other words, Daniel. Dru insisted that their daughter wasn't with him, but Neil didn't believe it. Dru went to go find Lily. Meanwhile, Lily asked Daniel if she could stay with him and Phyllis. Daniel went to speak with Phyllis; they were interrupted by Dru, who demanded to see Lily. Dru wasn't convinced that Lily wasn't there. After she finally left, Phyllis told Daniel that Lily couldn't live with them.... Neil questioned Devon about helping Lily and Daniel sneak around, but it was obvious that Devon didn't know what was going on with them. Devon was upset when Neil said that he was sending Lily back to boarding school.... Lily informed Colleen that she's running away. Dru then barged into Colleen's home, literally shoving Col out of the way as she asked where Lily was. Lily emerged and told her mother to stop treating her like a child. Dru grabbed Lily's arm and went to drag her daughter out, but Brad broke up the fight. Lily apologized for involving the Carltons in their business. Dru allowed her to spend the night after Lily quietly threatened her about the Malcolm reveal. Later, Lily met with Daniel to discuss their options.... Brad noted that Colleen seems to have feelings for J.T.... Neil couldn't understand why Dru didn't bring Lily home.

Katherine invited Nikki to join her and Gloria at Gina's. Kay suggested that Nikki mentor Glo about working at Jabot. A skeptical Nikki tried not to laugh, then suggested Gloria get some hands-on experience. Both Kay and Nikki noted that she'd have to work her way up and prove herself. Nikki stated that Glo might want to "circumvent" Jack or make Ashley her ally if she really does want to get anywhere in the company. Gloria was eager to do something that would make John proud of her. She complimented Kay and Nikki and thanked them for helping her. "Another method you can use is sucking up," snarked Nik "... which you're already very good at."
