Y&R Recaps Week of March 27, 2006

Friday, March 31, 2006
Daniel met with his parole officer at the GCAC. Lily soon joined them and assured the officer that they'd received "official written permission" for their elopement. Neil then arrived and surprisingly covered for them. Officer No Nonsense was satisfied and ended the appointment. After, Neil met with Paul and explained that he'd covered for them so they wouldn't be suspicious about the investigation. Paul revealed that on the marriage certificate, Lily had said that Dru's dead and that Malcolm is her father. Later, at home, Daniel and Lily dined on "wedding cake" and discussed their dwindling finances. Daniel said they could get part-time jobs, but vowed to never dress up like a banana again, as he had in a previous assignment. Lily was grateful that Neil had helped them and told her husband that Neil is still her dad, even if he's not her biological father. She then sat down on their bed and sadly thought about her family.

Katherine and Jill discussed Jabot business. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Jack and Ashley also tried to figure out how they could stop the other promo kits from being sent, or the cream from being used by those who'd gotten the kits.... Victoria joined Brad at the hospital, as he waited for news on Abby. Brad blamed Jack for what had happened to his daughter.

Gloria and Kevin visited Lauren at her boutique. Glo humiliated her son again by calling Mackenzie his "girlfriend" and suggesting that he buy Mac a gift. While there, Gloria noticed that Lauren had received the Jabot promo kit. Soon, Kay and Jill arrived and Gloria showed them her burned forehead. Kay didn't seem to care, but was aghast that Abby had gotten injured by the product. Jack came to the boutique and told the group that everything was "under control." Unless you counted the one woman who'd used the product and ended up in the hospital. Later, over lunch, Kevin realized that Glo had sabotaged the cream. He didn't approve of his mom's scheme, but she explained that she needed to prove how incompetent Jack and Ashley are. Kevin worried about the other people who could get hurt, but she insisted that she'd done the right thing. "You're looking at the new Gloria Abbott," she stated, confident that she wouldn't get caught. Yeah, new and improved and crazier. She then warned Kevin that he'd better not say anything. (Or what? She'll put tainted cream on him?)

Phyllis realized that Sharon knew about her and Nicholas's affair. Meanwhile, Sharon and Nick headed to the Heartbreak, er, Genoa City Hotel ... where Sharon had booked the same room that Nick and Phyllis had used. Phyll frantically tried to call Nick, but couldn't reach him, thanks to Sharon swiping his cell phone. "I wonder what I did to deserve such an amazing wife," Nick smarmed. He then tried to kiss his wife, but she turned away and suggested he get ready for dinner instead.... Back in town, Victor praised Phyllis's performance at NVP. Phyl cringed when he said she's "part of the family."... At the hotel, Nick and Sharon slow danced (though she understandably didn't seem that into it). After a few minutes of that, Nick was ready to get down on the couch, uh, be intimate with his wife, but Shar urged him to be patient. Nick told his wife that them being together reminds him of the good times, but Sharon noted that their years haven't been all good. They reminisced about the past; Sharon shared that even in high school she knew they'd get married... Phyllis again tried to reach Nick and got Miguel instead. She began to panic when he told her where the couple was. Later, Phyl had room service sent to the couple and left a note for Nick with the deliverer. As Nick went to read the note, Sharon emerged from the bathroom in the tell-tale lacy, white lingerie (which on her, looked a lot like whipped cream). "Recognize this?" she purred. "Gulp!" replied Nick, lying that he didn't remember it. "Have you worn it before?" "I haven't," Sharon said, "but someone else has." "Who?" he asked. "Phyllis," she sneered. "She bought it for you." "Why would she do that?" Stupid Nick went on. "You tell me," said Sharon, revealing that she knew about the affair. Busted!

Sharon called the Genoa City Hotel to book the same room where Nicholas had stayed with Phyllis. Mrs. Newman continued to be haunted by all of her discoveries as she thought back to Victor finding Phyllis's glove in the stables, and how she'd noticed similar monkey statues in Phyllis and Nick's offices.

Victor complained to Nick about Brad's performance at Newman. Nick observed that what Victor was really upset about was Brad seeing Victoria. He refused to put his sister down, noting that Vic could turn on him next. Nick stated that he and Victoria were doing a decent job running the company and their private lives shouldn't influence Victor's decisions.

At Crimson Lights, Victoria confided in J.T. about problems with her dad. J.T. revealed that Victor gave him an assigment that would have him reporting to her. She was furious that her father had hired J.T. without telling her.

At the hospital, the Abbotts convened to discuss the moisturizer. Gloria was furious when they asked her — and her burning forehead — to leave. After, Ashley tried to figure out what had happened to the cream, but Jack was more concerned about doing damage control for Jabot. He quickly made some phone calls and prevented Lauren from selling the cream at her boutique. Meanwhile, Ashley called Victor to let him know that Abby was at the hospital, and he came rushing over. The group was relieved to hear that Abby was going to recover.

Nikki filled in Phyllis about Sharon's plans to surprise Nick with a romantic evening. Nikki wondered why Phyllis suddenly seemed so upset, but Phyl lied that she was distressed about Daniel and Lily eloping. Nikki sympathized, revealing that Victoria had married Ryan when she was only 16 (nice historical tie-in, Y&R). "I've been very selfish," Phyllis admitted. Nikki said that Daniel and Lily might last, pointing out that Nick and Sharon met in high school and were now celebrating 10 years together. Um, bad example, Nik!

At the coffeehouse, Kevin and Mackenzie began kissing in the back room ... but were interrupted by Gloria. Glo asked Mac to get her something from the kitchen. Kevin was furious (nice way to treat your suffering mother!), but Gloria stated that forcing Mac to stop would make her want him more. After, Glo began to tell Colleen about Abby. However, Coll, who was chatting with J.T., snapped at her. Gloria angrily stepped away, and J.T. urged Colleen to be nicer to her.... Later, Mac told Kevin that she's not ready to be in a relationship. Kevin was understandably crushed. When he left the room, Gloria encouraged Mac to give her son a chance. Kev was humiliated by his mom's meddling and mocked her for being so dramatic about her rash. Glo crowed that this would prove how incompetent Ashley and Jack are... Colleen and J.T. almost kissed, but stopped when Mac spied them together. Coll wanted to know whom he'd cheated on Mac with, but J.T. didn't answer and left.

Nick came home and was surprised to hear that Sharon had put together a belated anniversary celebration for them. As they drank wine, she announced that she'd booked a room at the hotel. Nick recalled having sex with Phyllis at that very place, and wondered if they really had to go there, but quickly agreed when Sharon explained that she thought they needed some time away.... Meanwhile, at her office, Phyllis found the hay-filled glove that Sharon had put on her desk — and realized that Sharon knew about them. Uh-oh!

A red, bumpy rash appeared on Gloria's forehead where she'd put the tainted moisturizer. Playing dumb, she showed it to Jack, who took her to the emergency room. She then "suddenly" remembered that she'd put the cream on her face. Soon, Ashley arrived at the hospital with Abby — who'd put the cream on herself — cradled in her arms.

At Crimson Lights, Mackenzie accused Colleen of being the one to call and lie that a large group was coming. Colleen pretended to act hurt. Mac really was upset that Colleen, who was once her friend, would trick her. Kevin compared it to playing a particular joke that junior high schoolers often do. After, Lily and Daniel filled in J.T., Mackenzie, Kevin and Colleen about their wedding and new life as a married couple. Colleen was hurt that Lily hadn't told her. J.T. didn't think they'd made a good decision, but Daniel argued that they've "never been happier." Kevin then cornered Colleen about the call, but Colleen denied doing it. J.T. spied Kevin talking to Colleen and came over to see what was going on. Coll told him that there wasn't "a problem" with Kevin.

Nicholas and Phyllis discussed the launch of NVP. He told her that he doesn't want Sharon to be involved in the project. Phyllis was glad she could get a fresh start with her career and not "focus on the things [she] can't have" — namely, Nick. "I want to get my life back to normal ... whatever normal is," she explained. "I'm very sorry," Nick responded, not sure what to say. Phyl urged him to focus on Sharon and his family, and to not look back.

Sharon informed Nikki that she's planning a big "surprise" for Nick to celebrate their belated 10th anniversary. After, Sharon thought back to meeting up with Phyllis when Phyl was buying lingerie at Lauren's boutique. Shar asked Lauren to help her find something "special." Soon, Phyllis arrived to return the lingerie she'd bought to wear for Nicholas. Lauren noted that Sharon had just purchased the same set. At home, Sharon called the Genoa City Hotel and asked to book the same room that Phyllis had booked.

Victor spoke with J.T. about J.T.'s affair with Victoria. Rather than being upset with him, Vic stated that he trusts J.T. more than he trusts Brad. J.T. was confused, especially when Newman gave him an assignment that would put him in even more contact with Vicky.

Victor later lectured Victoria about marrying Brad, while Nikki spoke with Carlton. Victoria was furious that her dad was trying to butt in, and refused to listen. "This man does not belong in this family, he does not belong in your life, he does not belong in this company," he yelled. Vicky responded by reminding her dad that she now runs Newman (ooh, bad move, Victoria). "I can change that in the blink of an eye," Vic told her. After, Victoria fumed to Nick, while Victor complained to Nikki that Brad really wants their money. Nick couldn't believe that Victor would take back the company or that he hates Brad that much. Victoria explained that Vic just hates the fact that he can't dictate her life.

Over coffee, Nikki and Victor discussed the NVP spa project. Victor also revealed that he planned to have J.T. work on a project for him. Nikki blabbed that J.T. and Victoria slept together and was concerned that having J.T. around might be awkward for their daughter.

Brad went to see Victoria at the office and was greeted with a big hug. He held out the engagement ring that she'd returned, suggesting they "put it back where it belongs." Brad shared that he and Ashley were finalizing their divorce; the re-engaged couple happily planned to wed in a month. "I want you to want this because you want it," Brad eloquently stated. Next, the talk turned to J.T., whom Brad said he didn't want hanging around Colleen. Victoria turned away, uncomfortable. Later, Vicky met up with her mom. Nikki was unhappy when she spied Victoria's ring and realized she was back together with Brad.

At Crimson Lights, Colleen was with none other than Mr. Hellstrom. She was pleased when J.T. purchased her favorite drink for her. As he prepared to head to work, he ran into Mackenzie. The exes shared a tense greeting. After, J.T. met Victoria for a drink, where Vicky expressed her concern about Colleen. J.T. called her on the fact that the only reason she was worried about Colleen's welfare is because she didn't want Brad to be upset. "You shouldn't mess with people's feelings," Victoria lectured — like she's one to talk.

Nicholas sensed that something wasn't right with Sharon. She lied that she's "great" and was looking forward to her day. However, when Nick asked her if she was feeling better, she snapped at him. After, Sharon ran over and embraced Noah before he headed off to school. Noah was confused as to why his mom was suddenly being so dramatic. Meanwhile, Phyllis sadly thought back to how she and Nick had agreed that even though they care for each other, they can't be together. "That was the past," she told herself, as she snapped out of her daydream. "On to the future." Later, at the NVP launch party, Sharon did her best to act happy as photogs snapped pics of her and Nick together. She even kept up the façade when Phyllis came over to say hello and when Nikki publicly praised Phyl. Still, Sharon had a fantasy where she told everyone in the room "that [her] husband of 10 years has been sleeping with that red-headed slut!" Back in the real world, Nick quietly informed Phyllis that Sharon had been in her office. Phyllis panicked that Sharon was on to them, but Nick didn't think his wife had figured anything out. A nervous Phyllis then asked Sharon if she'd been in her office; Sharon evaded the question and suggested she be the spokesperson for the spa project. "Don't disappoint me, because there is no one I'd rather work closer with," Sharon chirped as Phyl squirmed.

Michael and Lauren discussed Gloria. Michael worried about how she was living life with John away. Lauren soothed his nerves by kissing him passionately, but they were interrupted by Kevin. Michael didn't want to let him in, but Lauren was willing since Kev had brought pastries. Kevin shared that he was in a good mood because things were going well with Mac.

Gloria thought back to how she'd tainted Jabot's new moisturizer. After, she read about NVP's launch of the spa project and blasted Ashley for letting Jabot pass up such a good opportunity. Later, Glo took a pain killer, then put a small amount of poisoned cream on her face. "It'll be so worth it," she told herself as she geared up for not feeling well. However, her plan began to go awry when little Abby put some cream on her arm.

Neil, Drucilla and Phyllis were relieved when Daniel and Lily returned home. Daniel proudly informed the 'rents that he and Lily were married. The adults were understandably freaked out by the news. "All we want is to be together and we're gonna fight back," Daniel told them. The newlyweds went on to explain that they don't want to cut their parents off, but they were determined to stay together, no matter what. Neil wondered how the teens would support themselves, but Daniel and Lily were confident that they could work it out by "living on love." After the kids left, Neil told Dru and Phyllis that he'd taken the wrong approach with Lily, and made the bold suggestion that they do nothing. Phyllis didn't think this was such a great idea, but Neil believed that the teens would become their own worst enemy in trying to make a marriage work. Later, Lily and Daniel insisted that what they did was right. The parents and kids then shared a tearful good-bye as the teens prepared to begin their new life together.

Sharon thought back to everything she'd encountered that linked Phyllis and Nicholas together. Victor stopped by to discuss business. Sharon told him she couldn't make it to an upcoming meeting because she didn't feel well. Vic then gave her a glove he found in the stables, thinking it belong to Sharon. Sharon recalled finding the glove's mate in Phyllis's office and lied that it was hers. Nick then returned home and chatted about Noah's science project. He and Victor reminisced about the mess Nick once made as a child doing his project, but Sharon was too busy imagining her husband and Phyllis together. After, things remained tense between the couple, though Nick believed it was because Sharon wasn't feeling well. "Wasn't I enough?" Sharon wondered to herself.

At Crimson Lights, Colleen thought about J.T. ... At the loft, Kevin watched soccer, while J.T. chatted with Colleen. She suggested she come over and keep him company; he said that once Kevin's game was over, he planned to watch basketball.... At the coffeehouse, things became awkward (for the viewer, at least) when Victoria and Colleen both ordered drinks from Mackenzie. Colleen and Vicky then sat down to chat; Victoria blanched when Coll showed her the napkin upon which she'd doodled J.T.'s name. Awww. Colleen then shared how Brad didn't want her dating him because J.T. had cheated on Mac. Victoria warned that Coll shouldn't let herself be J.T.'s "rebound chick."... Meanwhile, in the loft, Felix — make that Kevin — became annoyed when Oscar — make that J.T. — drank straight from the milk carton.... Later, Colleen called Mac, pretending to be a patron who was about to bring in a large crowd to Crimson Lights. Mac called Kevin, pleading with him to come down to help. When he arrived, they realized they'd been set up. Since it was so slow at the shop, Kevin and Mac went out for dinner. Meanwhile, Colleen went down to the loft to hang out with J.T.
