Y&R Recaps Week of April 3, 2006

Friday, April 7, 2006
Katherine promised to take Jack down a notch or two for hurting Gloria. Gloria begged her to back off, trying to come out smelling like a rose. Later, Michael called a press conference at Jabot. "Stick to the script," Michael warned. Ashley, Jack, Jill, Katherine and Gloria all spoke on the company's behalf. After the press conference, Gloria got the call that Emma Gibson, the customer who had the worst allergic reaction to GloAgain, died. Oh, no!

Nick and Phyllis stared longingly at each other from across the bar. He finally joined her, not caring how it looked. Phyllis suggested he give Sharon time, that they'll work it out.

Brad turned to Sharon re: the situation with Victoria. "Why do you suppose I keep choosing women who can't love me back?" he asked Sharon, one of those women. Victoria told Victor she didn't want J.T. reporting to her anymore. Victor reminded her that she doesn't give him orders. In the elevator, Victoria asked J.T. to quit, and then she went and told Brad she's going to prove to him and everyone else that Brad comes first. Meanwhile, J.T. went to Paul to discuss his dilemma, and then he went and explained to Victor that from now on he (J.T.) will be reporting to Victor. "You show a lot of guts," Victor said, before giving him another assignment: a background check on Brad Carlton!

J.T. asked Mac how she's feeling after the miscarriage. She said she's fine. Mac left and joined Kevin, and the two discussed their kiss. Mac said she needed time away and was going back to the Indian reservation.

Nikki put Sharon on the spot and asked her what's wrong. Sharon continue to hide the truth. Sharon was taken aback and when Nikki said she and Phyllis agreed to have Sharon be the spokesmodel for N.V.P. "I'm flattered but I can't accept," Sharon said.

As Nick continued to pound back drinks, Sharon showed up and saw him talking with Phyllis.

Sharon confronted Phyllis about sleeping with Nick. Phyllis apologized and defended Nick, saying she was the one who pursued Nick and that he wanted to call it off. "There are no words in the English language that would explain how I feel about you," growled Sharon. Phyllis dodged the question when Sharon asked if she's in love with Nick. Phyllis brought up Brad, but Sharon pointed out that she resisted. Then Sharon called her a dog in heat! "And you're raising a son. How pathetic," the jilted wife added. Later, Nikki came down on Phyllis for having her head in the clouds, while Sharon reamed Nick for telling Phyllis personal information about their marriage. He got a dig in when he asked if she's sorry now that she didn't sleep with Brad when she had the chance. Then she started to break things and got very angry and hysterical. "What we had is dead!" she cried. Later, alone, Sharon sliced her and Nick's wedding picture. It's over!

Brad asked Nick what's up with Sharon. Nick basically told him to butt out, but then apologized for Victor going after Brad over a personal issue.

Jill reported to Jack and Nikki that they had to shut down the Jabot factory. Jack called in Michael Baldwin, who agreed to help protect the company for Gloria's sake. Katherine was "uncomfortable" with the idea of bringing Michael on board. Michael later tried to settle the Emma Gibson case, but Gibson's husband didn't bite and said, "See you in court."

J.T. brought a folder to Victoria, and they were interrupted once again by Brad. Victoria said that if she avoids J.T., she's letting her father win. Later, Colleen tried to make more inroads with J.T.

Lauren lamented the fact that Emma Gibson was on a ventilator because of the Jabot face cream she bought at Fenmore's. Michael said that he would make Jabot pay if it hadn't been for the fact that his mother has a huge investment in the company. Jill noted that every jar was accounted for, as she, Jack, Jill and Ashley tried to do damage control from the Jabot living room (do they ever go to the office?). Later, Jack and Gloria visited John in prison. When they talked about the Jabot scandal, John got all fired up and Jack commented that it was as if they were all in the boardroom, like the good ol' days. Back at the house, Jill received the call that all production of Jabot products was being shut down. Ashley was devastated.

Neil wrote a check for Devon's tuition but Devon didn't feel right accepting it. Daniel got all dressed up for a job interview. Lily got a job at the boutique, thanks to Dru pulling some strings with Lauren. Dru insisted on paying her salary, but Lauren refused.

Brad startled Phyllis, who was fearing the worst now that Sharon knows the truth. Later, Jack told her "you're the best," still in the dark about her dark secret. Sharon told Noah he wouldn't be seeing Nick later because he was going on a business trip. When Noah left, Sharon asked Nick to leave the house.

EOE (end of episode), Sharon showed up at Phyllis' office to confront her!

Katherine, Jill, Gloria, Kevin, Ashley and Jack returned to the Abbott house and bickered about the face cream disaster. "'GloAgain by Ashley Abbott' is officially dead," Ash announced. Tension only rose when news came in that the customer who tried the product was on a respirator and later went into anaphylactic shock. "We're going to pay for this dearly, Jack," Katherine said, but he insisted this wouldn't hurt Jabot. After she left, he muttered that if the guilty party was an insider, "They better hope I don’t get to them first." Stakes were up, but with everyone looking at the plant for an explanation, a guilty Gloria was confident she wouldn't get caught.

Speaking of getting caught...Nick begged Sharon not to throw away their 10 years of marriage. "It's too late," she cried. Nick tried to defend himself and brought up Cassie's death and Sharon's relationship with Brad, but that didn't fly. "I think you have more feelings for her than you're admitting now," Sharon shot and later railed, "You think you can just confess all your sins and I can absolve you?" "I love you," Nick insisted, promising to do whatever was necessary to get her back, but she shot that that was "only because you got caught." Before he left to pick up Noah, Sharon told him, "I don't care where you sleep, as long as it's not in my bed." Then she called Phyllis and ordered, "Clear your calendar tomorrow. You'll be seeing me."

Dru admonished Lily for listing her as "mother deceased" on the marriage license. When Neil and Devon arrived, Lily explained (and lied about) why she forged Malcolm's name, as Dru squirmed in her seat. Then the kids shared that they're going to start looking for jobs. "We're going to survive," they promised. Devon tried to put a damper on the union, guessing that they'd be living on the streets soon. Back at the hideaway, the kids tried to study, but Daniel wanted to rehash. Lily insisted her super-cool pop could never find out Malcolm was her real dad and then nudged Daniel to return to work. Instead, they started making out. Back at the Winters' place, Neil was stuck on why Lily had forged Malcolm's signature. Dru pooh-pooed the conversation and sent him to the shower, promising to follow.

Nikki wondered why Phyllis was preoccupied. Nikki was confused when Phyllis thought that maybe Sharon should be the spokesperson for N.V.P. after all. She revealed she had Phyllis in mind for the job, but Phyllis felt overextended and didn't want to make "any more" mistakes. When she said she was feeling "insecure," a surprised Nikki warned that she didn't want any surprises from her partner.

J.T., on orders from Victor, tracked Victoria down at the Genoa City Hotel to give her a work folder. "Why does Victor hate Carlton anyway?" J.T. asked. (It's a long story, son, encompassing much corporate intrigue and several women.) "My dad can think what he wants, we're still getting married," Victoria warned. Enter Brad, who was not amused to find J.T. there. Victoria explained that J.T. was there on business and would be reporting to her, but a suspicious Brad still didn't like the idea of J.T. being in contact with Victoria and wasn't thrilled that the whole family knew she'd hooked up with JT. She begged him not to let her father get to him and assured him that Victor would eventually see the light.

2005 Sharon Case
— CBS

Monday, April 3, 2006
Sharon modeled Phyllis' lingerie for Nick and then confronted him about his affair. Nick copped to it as Sharon grilled him about how long this has been going on. "I don't want out (of our marriage)," Nick insisted. "Look me in the eye and tell me you don't have any feelings for Phyllis," she cried. Nick couldn't. Sharon got dressed and threw the lingerie at Nick. "Give this to your girlfriend," she snapped. Phyllis saw her leave the room, then knocked on the door. Nick was angry that she was hanging around there. Phyllis suggested that Nick give Sharon some space, but he was determined to fix this. Phyllis wished him good luck, but clearly was hurt. At the ranch, Sharon hurled the monkey at the front door. The episode ended with a montage, with flashbacks of the affair, Sharon piecing it all together, and Nick and Sharon's once-fairytale romance. When Nick walked through the door, he begged Sharon not to shut him out.

Kevin couldn't believe Gloria pulled the face-cream stunt. "I'm not going to apologize for what I did," she announced. At Fenmore's Michael told Katherine and Jill they have to do damage control; they went back to the GCAC to talk to Gloria, who felt Jack and Ashley should be held accountable. Then they got the call that one of Lauren's customers was sent to the hospital. At the lab, Ashley realized that another ingredient was added to her original formula. Ashley sent the sample out to find out what the mystery ingredient was.

Lily and Daniel decorated their new place, as Neil wondered why Lily listed Malcolm as her father on the marriage license. Dru covered when Neil pointed it out to her by saying she listed Dru as dead and Neil as another person. Neil fell for it. Oh, brother.
