Whoa! Sharon and Nicholas woke up naked in bed together. As he held her, he whispered how he knew they could make their marriage work. She blanched when he mentioned that he hasn't felt close to her in a long time, and was upset when he admitted to running into Phyllis while Sharon was gone. She admitted that she still can't trust him. Nick replied that he loves Sharon, but she wasn't sure she could believe him. "If we think our love can never be the same for us, we're just fooling ourselves here," she sighed.

Phyllis stopped by Jack's to bring some of Daniel's things. Jack reminded her that it's the anniversary of Cassie's accident, but that he thinks Daniel is handling it well. Jack suspected that something was bothering Phyllis. "I really screwed up this time," she began. Jack encouraged her to get Daniel back into her life. She then went to visit her son and dropped off a little gift that he'd left at her home. After, she thanked Jack for making her see Daniel and giving her a job at Jabot. "You're always saving me, Jack," she said, kissing him. "It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it," he replied.

J.T. interrupted Victoria and Brad's dinner to ask for Colleen. Brad told him to get lost. Vicky then wondered what she's supposed to do now that Colleen has backed out as maid of honor. She was angry with Brad for not telling her that Colleen knew about the affair. He explained that he didn't want Vicky to worry about it, but she reminded him that as Colleen's future stepmother, she has a right to know if there's a problem.... J.T. tracked down Coll at Lily and Daniel's and again apologized for doing "nothing." "Sleeping with my father's fiancée is not nothing," she argued, demanding that he leave.

Victor and Nikki endured a tense business meeting. He asked if she was upset because she'd found him talking with Ashley. She accused him of being obsessed with Ash. He replied that Nikki is being ridiculous. Later, Nikki thought about her husband's actions as viewers were treated to a montage of Victor being his bossiest.

Victoria went to see Nick, and was surprised to see Sharon there. After Sharon left, they discussed "Operation Oust Victor." They weren't sure they could convince Nikki to help them.... Brad informed Sharon of the goings-on at Newman involving Victor and his family. Sharon suddenly pulled Carlton into an embrace.... Nick then went to see his mother; she agreed to work with them.

Gloria picked up a copy of the newspaper and got a devilish look in her eye.... Jack informed Ashley about the Gibsons trying to sue the restaurant for Emma's food poisoning... Kevin went to visit John in jail. John demanded he tell him exactly what's going on at Jabot and with Glo and Jack. Kevin admitted that Jack and Ashley haven't been welcoming to Gloria; John was pleased that Kevin had moved in in order to take care of his mom. Kev was touched when John called him his stepson. "No one's said anything like that to me," he told John. "In two seconds, you've been kinder to me than anyone ever was." Aww. John replied that he's counting on him to protect Gloria. Later, Glo showed them the newspaper, which had an article about Jack trying to buy Andrew's silence.

Jack reminded Daniel that it was the anniversary of Cassie's accident and urged him to write Nick and Sharon a note. He praised Daniel for the way he's bounced back after the accident and trial, and encouraged him to make amends with Phyllis.

Lily grew frustrated as she studied for an exam. Lily worried that her husband was angry with her for telling Colleen about J.T., but he reminded her that the secret would've come out anyhow. Meanwhile, Colleen confided in Gina about her troubles. After, Kevin sat down with her; she was actually pleasant to him when he answered questions about possible other women J.T. may have seen while he and Kevin were living together. Still, when Kev tried to get her to apologize to him for the way she's behaved, she gave him her best "As if!" snort. Kevin flattered her by calling her "desperate" and suggested that she's making too big a deal out of J.T.'s one-night stand. Later, J.T. and Kevin had drinks together. He told J.T. about his discussion with Colleen, and suggested J.T. call her.... Lily and Daniel invited Colleen for dinner. She asked if she could stay over so she could avoid seeing Brad. Colleen said that she's not going to Brad and Victoria's wedding. Lily wondered how long her friend could avoid her father and J.T. Colleen then left a message for Victoria telling her that she knows about the affair and Vicky shouldn't get her hopes up about marrying Brad.

Lauren visited Michael at the office. He complimented a certain body part of hers and they began to get romantic on her desk. "I never knew a pregnant woman could be so sexy," cooed Baldwin. The kissed more passionately, the saxophone music blared (wouldn't it be nice if we all had a sexy sax playing in the bedroom?) and ... Gloria barged in (again), badgering them with questions about the pregnancy. "Do you have radar?!" a very frustrated Michael asked his mom. After Lauren left, Glo began to ask Michael about the settlement. Paul then arrived, announcing that he has something they can use: he explained that the Gibsons had originally planned to sue the restaurant where she'd allegedly contracted food poisoning, but changed their minds when she became injured from the cream (which begs the question: why was this woman who was so sick with food poisoning bothering with her grooming routine? Most people who are that ill just don't care). Later, Jack joined them and surmised that the Gibsons had gone after Jabot instead of the restaurant because the company has more money. Michael was confident that they could now get Andrew to agree to a settlement.

Nikki and Victoria discussed the plot against Victor, which Nikki was still reluctant to help out with. They were interrupted when Victor called Nikki; he couldn't understand why she was being so cold to him and hung up on her. Vicky urged her mom to help her and Nick, and was angry that Victor would pull their family apart as the anniversary of Cassie's death approaches. Nikki argued that she's being put in a horrible position.

Victor ran into Ashley at Jabot. She confessed that she's worried about her father, especially with everything that's happening at Jabot. Vic assured her that she isn't to blame. Ashley was excited that Jabot's going to be a part of NVP, as the spas sell the former's products.

Nicholas told Sharon that he wouldn't fight her for a divorce, but that he didn't want one. Sharon said that she cut her Paris trip short because Noah sensed that something was wrong. She also explained that she didn't want to be alone on the anniversary of Cassie's accident. Nick was glad that she came home. Sharon admitted that after Cassie's death, she'd hoped that she and Nick could work through their pain together. Nick expressed his regret that he'd let their daughter go out that evening; he explained that since he hadn't been able to forgive himself, he didn't think Sharon would be able to. "Is that why you turned to Phyllis instead of me, because you couldn't look at me without feeling guilty?" she wondered, tears in her eyes. "If you can't look at me ... we don't stand a chance," she stated. She speculated that Nick wanted to get caught so it could be the end for them. Nick said that he thinks it was more that he was hoping it would force them to confront the state of their marriage. He again urged her to stick with him, and they kissed.

Michael informed Jack and Ashley that Andrew Gibson has filed a civil suit against Jabot. Jack wanted to settle it. Ashley thought they needed to get their side of the story — that it was an accident — out there, pointing out that if they settle, it makes them look guilty. Jack wanted it to "go away" ASAP. Meanwhile, Gloria told Kevin that this suit proves that Jack doesn't have the company under control. Kevin reminded his mom that, uh, she has something to do with it, too. "I'm suffering!" whimpered Glo, insisting that it's her job to save Jabot.... Katherine and Jill dined together and discussed the case. They wondered if Jack is really suited (no pun intended) for running Jabot.... Later, Gloria and Kevin tried to offer "support" to Jack, but he told them to butt out of his business (literally and figuratively). After, Glo spoke badly of Jack and Ashley to Kay.... Michael sat down with the lawyers to hammer out a settlement, but Andrew turned it down.

Victoria and Nicholas discussed Victor's suddenly harsh actions against them. Nick had a plan to regain control of the company — and needed Brad's help. Nick explained that the only way to remove Victor as CEO is to go through the board of directors ... and to put Brad on said board. Meanwhile, Nikki accused Victor of doing what he thinks is right for him and not the company. She was upset that Vic is punishing their children for making mistakes in their personal lives. "What's next — are you going to get rid of me because I didn't want to get rid of Phyllis?" she understandably worried. Victor argued that he's just trying to help Newman. Later, Victoria and Victor shared a tense moment when she returned home to meet with Nikki to discuss wedding plans. She warned her mom that Victor probably wouldn't let Nikki stay in charge of NVP.... Brad asked Nick why Victor was so upset with him. He hinted that he'd heard about Nick needing to work on his marriage, but Nick evaded the question.... Victoria filled in Nikki on her and Nick's plan to overthrow Victor.

At Newman, Daniel tried to hand out the mail in peace when he was accosted by J.T. Mr. Initials again reamed out his rival for telling Colleen the truth about J.T. and Victoria's affair.... Colleen felt betrayed that Victoria had tried to be her friend. Lily asked if part of why Coll is so upset is because Victoria slept with J.T. while Colleen hasn't. Coll said she's upset because they lied to her. Lily urged her friend to let her real feelings out, but Colleen was determined to stay tough. She didn't think she could give him another chance, given his track record. She planned to tell her dad the truth about his bride-to-be. Later, she did just that as she visited Brad at the office and announced that he can't wed Vicky. Colleen was shocked when Brad revealed that he already knew about Victoria's indiscretion. His daughter couldn't believe he'd wed someone who'd cheated on him. He broke out the old FRIENDS "We were on a break!" defense. Still, Colleen refused to be the maid of honor and started to storm out ... only to run into J.T. He tried again to apologize, but she wouldn't accept. Daniel then arrived and offered a sympathetic ear.... Lily told off J.T. He asked Lily to help him "fix it," but she refused. He stated that Lil owes it to him because she dared to tell her friend to truth about him.... Alone, Colleen cried as she thought about J.T.

Sharon returned from Paris. Nick told her that he won't fight her if she wants a divorce. She admitted that she doesn't know what she wants.

Nicholas and Victoria were stunned when Victor announced that he's demoting them and taking over as CEO. They argued that what he's doing isn't right; Vic stated that both of their lives are a mess. Nikki disagreed with his decision. Victoria stormed out. After, Nick admitted that he's in shock and was looking forward to concentrating on work. Victor thought he should work on his marriage, but Nick shared that Sharon wants to end it. Later, Nikki reamed out her husband for not telling her about his plan. "I will not condone this. I think it's absolutely outrageous!" she shouted. "Why don't you tell me how you really feel?" retorted Victor. Nikki explained that she fears this will further drive their family apart. Victor stated that he just wants to save his company.

At Newman, Neil and Drucilla gloated as they informed Brad that Neil has been given the job Victoria had given Brad. Brad wondered who made this decision. Victor did, they told him. After, Neil relished the change. He and Dru planned a romantic rendezvous.... Victoria filled in Brad on what had gone down at the meeting with her father. She was further angered when Brad shared that Vic had already reassigned Neil to one of his projects. "They don't call him 'Ruthless' for nothing," cracked Brad. Victoria compared the situation to "Gnats going up against an elephant," and couldn't understand why Nick wasn't more upset. Later, Nick called his sister and told her that they're going to fight against their father.

At Lily and Daniel's dinner party, J.T. and Colleen joked around as Lily glared. Privately, Daniel again pleaded with Lily not to say anything about J.T. sleeping with Victoria. During the meal, Colleen showed off the friendship bracelet Victoria had given her. Lily suddenly asked her friend to help her with the dessert, leaving the guys alone. Daniel accused J.T. of not treating women well; J.T. returned the compliment by reminding Dan of his colorful past. "Are you this nice to all your dinner guests or am I just lucky?" J.T. wondered. Meanwhile, Coll wondered what Lily's problem is with J.T. Lil revealed that Victoria is J.T.'s mystery woman. Colleen wouldn't believe it and demanded J.T. tell them they're wrong. Her face fell as she realized he couldn't, and that, yes, he had slept with Vicky. J.T. tried to explain himself, but Colleen wouldn't hear it and left. J.T. then had the audacity to be angry with Daniel for spreading the news.

Michael met with Jack, Ashley and Jill to discuss the Emma Gibson situation at Jabot. After, Michael warned Gloria to be prepared if it turns out that food poisoning didn't kill her and the cream did. Meanwhile, Will Bardwell looked over a file. Later, Bardwell addressed the group and told them that Emma's autopsy results were inconclusive. Therefore, he's dropping the charges, he explained. Instead of being grateful, Jack was angry that Bardwell had left them hanging. Jill and Ashley were furious with him for going off on the D.A. Jack was surprised when Ash defended Bardwell — and referred to him as "Will." After, Glo insinuated to Jill that Ashley and Jack are incompetent.

Paul and Lauren dined at the GCAC. Paul wondered why she hadn't ordered her usual drink and asked if she's pregnant. Yep, said Lauren. Lauren asked if Paul has reservations about her and Michael becoming parents. Paul stated that he's happy for her. Later, Paul asked Michael why he's so involved in the Jabot case. Michael replied that he wants to protect Jabot for Gloria, but Paul suspected that he has an ulterior motive. Paul congratulated Baldwin on Lauren's pregnancy and noted that Lauren had mentioned how she and Michael are always honest with each other. He stated that he's giving Michael the benefit of the doubt. "Gee, that's real big of you," snarked Baldwin.

Paul relayed his Jabot investigation results to Michael. He noted that when he'd mentioned Gloria being seen outside the lab, Michael had had a strange reaction. "I'm a strange guy," stated Baldwin. Paul hoped Michael could "reign" his mother in. Paul then revealed that Emma Gibson had had food poisoning right before allegedly getting sick from the cream. Michael hoped the autopsy would turn out to be in their favor.

Meanwhile, Ashley and Will Bardwell endured Soapy Situation #101 — being stuck in an elevator together. Will didn't seem to mind and used the opportunity to question Ash about Gloria's accusations against her regarding lab safety. Ash was adamant that no one on her staff had contaminated the cream. Will shared that he'd once been a chemistry major ... giving Y&R the chance to give these characters the ultimate "chemistry" test. Soon, they were freed from the elevator. Paul was aghast that she'd been with Bardwell, but Ashley spoke highly of her short-term companion. She was hopeful when he informed her of the food poisoning.

Colleen visited Lily at Lauren's boutique and envied Lil for getting to use her employee discount. Her friend explained that in order to do so she has to like, work and stuff.... Abby and Victoria were also there, picking up wedding accessories. Vicky spied Colleen and gave her a friendship bracelet. Coll was touched by the gesture.

Over at Newman, Daniel hung out in Victor's office, pausing to take a long, hard look at Vic's portrait. He then plopped himself down in the boss's chair and amused himself with a gruff impersonation of Neil. Hee! He skedaddled when he heard J.T. and Brad entering the room and hid in the nearby closet. Brad warned J.T. not to become involved with Colleen because she's vulnerable and will be hurt when she learns of J.T. and Victoria's affair. "Now, do you read me, Slick, or do I need to draw you a picture?" Brad asked. Oh, please draw the picture! Seeing Carlton's stick figure rendition of everyone would be hilarious. "Zoinks!" thought Daniel as he realized what the men were discussing.

J.T. called Colleen and asked her to meet him. Brad, meanwhile, came to the boutique to pick up Abby. He was less than pleased to learn of his older daughter's plans.... Daniel and Lily met up at home after work. He revealed what he'd learned about J.T. and Victoria. Lily wanted to tell her friend immediately, but Daniel wasn't so sure it was a good idea.... Victoria and Brad went to dinner. She urged him not to make a big deal about Colleen and J.T.... Later, J.T. and Colleen arrived at Lily and Daniel's. Lily prepared to pounce.

Michael gave Lauren a baby book. She was pleased that he's so excited about being a father. He worried how his rocky upbringing would affect their child, but Lauren was confident that he'll be a great dad. Michael hinted that Gloria had done something wrong, but didn't say what. "She's just as busy screwing things up for us today as she did when we were kids," he sighed.

Nicholas and Phyllis enjoyed a not-so-awkward meeting as she told him about going to Jabot. He remarked that she seems more relaxed than she has in a long time. Phyll admitted that while she likes it, she wishes she were still at NVP. She then remembered that she'll have to invest in a certain office supply. Phyllis was hopeful that if they both became involved in their jobs, they'd forget about each other. Nick stated that he could never forget about her.

At home, Nikki called — no make that screeched — for her husband. Victor came downstairs and calmly patronized his wife by telling her not to yell at him. Nikki was furious that he made Phyllis leave, and stated that him bringing her flowers doesn't make up for it. Victor argued that without his help they wouldn't have gone anywhere with the company; she said that he'd promised to not become involved in the day-to-day procedures. Vic explained that he only wanted the best for his family and company and doesn't want to fight with her. "I don't want to belittle you — you got that?" he said. Nikki wasn't so sure. Victor proposed that they be equal partners in NVP, but she had a difficult time believing that he'd ever consider her his equal. Later, Victor called Nick and Victoria over. He revealed that he's taking over as CEO.
