Y&R Recaps Week of May 15, 2006Friday, May 19, 2006 Lily informed Dru that she's not going to her graduation (or the prom — she and Daniel can't afford it). Colleen told Lily and Daniel that Gina hired her as a waitress. Later, Lily decided to accept Dru's financial help after all, and gave her parents graduation invitations. Victor tried to convince Nick and Nikki — and everyone else, for that matter — that Bradley was the obvious choice for the seat on Newman's board of directors. "I think the man's finally come to his senses," Brad boasted. When Brad left, Nick filled Victoria in re: his affair with... Phyllis. "Nicholas, what is wrong with you?" Victoria scolded. "I thought after Grace Turner you would have learned your lesson." Nick admitted that unlike Grace, he had genuine feelings for Phyllis. Katherine visited John in prison and reported that she's going to have to fire Jack. John requested that she does it in a way that Jack is left with his dignity. Katherine reported back to Jack that she spoke to John, who felt Jack needed to own up to his consequences. Later, John told Jack just that, and Jack promised that he'd be back on top one day. Victor broke the news to Neil that Bradley is joining the board. When Dru got wind of what happened, she stormed in and gave Victor a piece of her mind. Meanwhile, Neil ran into Brad in the elevator and snarked about being passed over. Later, Victor asked Nick to find a high-profile assignment for Neil, to appease him.
In Cincinnati, J.T. and Paul tracked down one of Brad's old teachers, who showed them a yearbook photo of Brad Carlton. It was the same blonde boy in the photo Paul found. They asked some questions at the local church and went through the church records, and found a photo of an old baseball team. The blonde was there, and so was the person calling himself Brad Carlton today. Hmmmm....
Thursday, May 18, 2006 Jill gave Phyllis orders to modify her redesign of the Web site. Phyllis balked, saying Jack had already signed off on the original plan. Tension! There was also tension in Nick's office, when Sharon stormed in and blasted him for locking horns with Brad. "You have not changed one bit," she scolded. J.T. wondered aloud why Brad hasn't kept in touch with anyone from his past; Victoria wasn't too concerned. Victor released J.T. from the Bradley Carlton case (Why is Victor being so NICE lately?), even though J.T. showed him that Brad was using another man's identity. Michael warned Katherine that it's not going to be easy to get rid of Jack. Then they broke the news to Jill, who didn't want to see Jack publicly humiliated and suggested that Katherine buy him out of his contract. Michael left and informed Phyllis that Katherine not only fired Jack from Jabot but Chancellor Industries as well. Back in the boardroom, Ashley tried to resign in Jack's place. EOE (end of episode), Victor gathered Brad, Victoria and Nick together and made a major announcement: Brad is being put on Newman's board of directors!
Wednesday, May 17, 2006 Michael again reprimanded Gloria for the face cream mess. Later, he ate ice cream with a pregnant Phyllis. Before saying goodbye, Mac told Kevin he'd always be a part of her life. They gave each other a great big hug. "You should move on," Gloria later suggested to her son, while Mac went to the Chancellor Estate to say goodbye to Grams. Sharon ran into Brad at Newman Enterprises, while Nick ran up a tab with Phyllis at the GCAC. Phyl began to tell Nick the truth, but he stopped her, assuming she wanted to tell him she's back with Jack. Back at Newman, Victoria walked in on Brad comforting Sharon. Sharon informed Victoria that she and Nick are separating. When Victoria left to get some tea for Sharon, Sharon pointed out to Brad that he's married now and she can't keep running to him. Brad left and confronted Nick at the GCAC. The boys got into it, fist flew, and then so did the fur when Brad yelled out that Nick has been sleeping with Phyllis — with Jack standing right there. Gulp!
Tuesday, May 16, 2006 Daniel filled Phyllis in on the Lily mess. She apologized for not handling the matter of his paternity better. "None of that matters now anymore," Daniel assured her. Nick and Sharon tried to reassure Noah, who was upset about their separation. Sharon took Noah to Crimson Lights, where they ran into Phyllis. Noah mentioned that his father moved out. Phyllis fled and ended up at GCAC bar (drinking orange juice, BTW), where she ran into — guess who? — Nick. Nick asked if they can start being open with each other again, because he missed her. "I wished we had broken things off a lot sooner," Nick admitted. "Yeah, me too," Phyllis replied, but did she mean it? "It's over," Nick concluded. She wanted to tell him about the baby, but couldn't bring herself to. Back at Crimson Lights, Jack chatted with Sharon, but she didn't blow Phyllis out of the water. Mr. Gibson asked Katherine and Michael to fire Jack from Chancellor Industries. "I'm seeking justice," he stated. "Why don't they just shoot Jack and put the poor guy out of his misery?" scoffed Jill when Katherine filled her in on Gibson's demand. In private, Jill told Mom that she didn't envy her because of the difficult decision she was about to make. Katherine phoned Jack and summoned him to Jabot to fire his you-know-what. Jack was STUNNED.
Monday, May 15, 2006 Phyllis told Michael she's pregnant — and that Nick could be the father. She recapped the entire affair for him (and the audience). She decided she has to hide the pregnancy. "Whose child do you want it to be?" Mike queried. "I don't know," Phyl replied. "Are you in love with Nick?" Mike asked. One look and it was obvious: she is! Phyllis went to see Nikki at the ranch and reported that Jack was removed from Jabot. Victor was not amused to find her there, but then said he'd put what happened between her and Nick in the past and that everyone should move on. Victoria and Brad returned from their honeymoon. Victor informed them of his decision to reinstate Nick and Victoria as CEOs of Newman Enterprises. Nick suspected Victor was up to something. Later, Victor made small talk with Jack at the GCAC. "Try to show genuine remorse to the public," Vic advised. Jack later encountered Nick, who told Jack he was sorry about what went down at Jabot. Nick reported that Victor put him and Vicki back in charge at Newman. Nick shared that he's staying at the GCAC because he and Sharon are having problems. Jack said he was sorry about that. Dru thanked Neil for her Mother's Day gift, which she found in the trash. Neil lit into Dru for hiding the truth about LIly's paternity for 17 years, and ordered her to get off Lily's back. He got more bad news when Victor told him his children were back in as joint CEOs, and Victoria announced that Brad was now Neil's (unwanted) "right-hand man" in handling a major new division. Gloria gossiped to Jill about something Jack said about Jill to an employee (Phyllis). Later, Gloria called Mr. Gibson to tip him off re: an offer Jabot was about to make. Later, at the meeting with Michael and Mr. Gibson, Emma's husband agreed to settle his case with Jabot only if Jack were FIRED altogether from Chancellor — "for good."
