Y&R Recaps Week of June 12, 2006

Friday, June 16, 2006
Nikki was horrified when Victor bought them a dog for Father's Day. Nikki gave Victor a pair of soccer cleats, a toolbox and a trip to Las Vegas. Brad and Victoria, and Nick and Sharon, showed up, while Victor went out and played fetch with Zapato (that's the dog). Abby gave both her dads presents: ducks she carved herself.

Phyllis was jealous of Carmen. When she wasn't shoveling food into her mouth, Phyll noticed her pants were getting snug. Jack left with Carmen to by John a Father's Day gift.

Michael and Lauren decided to call their baby Tangerine until it was born (They don't know the sex of the child, so they decided to come up with something so they could stop calling it "the baby."). Gloria and Kevin showed up to wish Michael a Happy Father's Day. They all rehashed the Tom Fisher fiasco, upsetting Kevin, who fled but returned with Tom's ashes! Gloria and Michael gave speeches to the box. Then Kevin poured the ashes into the sink (why not flush them down the toilet, Kev?)

Drucilla called Neil to wish him a Happy Father's Day. Neil was down in the dumps knowing he's not Lily's biological father. Devon tried to cheer him up by giving him soap on a rope and a mug. Then he gave him Dru's gift — a pen and pencil set, and lime green Jell-O. Devon was confused but Neil laughed, saying it was part of a private joke between he and Dru. Lily was bummed too because she hasn't talked to Malcolm since she found out he's her father. Neil and Devon stopped by, and they took a family photo.

EOE (end of episode), Victor almost passed out; Sharon thanked Nick for a beautiful day; and Phyllis mentioned Kyle and wished Jack a Happy Father's Day.

Victor, who was late for a meeting with Neil, asked Jack to meet him for lunch at the club. Later, he found Neil (who took the rest of the day off after the meeting) at the GCAC's basketball court, shooting some hoops. Neil shared that he wants to travel and move on; Victor said he'd hate to see him go but if Neil feels that deeply about it, perhaps... Before he could finish his sentence, Jack arrived. Jack tried to slam-dunk Phyllis by bashing her to Victor. But then Phyllis showed up and gave Vic a piece of HER mind. When Neil and Phyllis left, Victor got confused, thinking Jack had left too.

Nick and Sharon took Noah's computer privileges away for a week. When Sharon went to Fenmore's to buy Nick a Father's Day present, she ran into Victoria, who shared that Brad served in the Navy. Sharon also had news for Victoria: She's decided not to get a divorce.

J.T. scolded Colleen for breaking into his computer files. Colleen said she did it because J.T. was acting weird (okay...), and asked why he had Brad's hard drive on his computer. J.T. confessed that Victor hired him to investigate her dad. J.T. was saved by the bell (or was he?) — Brad arrived. "We shouldn't let anyone or anything come between us," Brad told his daughter. Later, J.T. hacked into Brad's hard drive again and made a copy of it.

Michael and Lauren got the amnio results. The baby tested negative for all genetic disorders. Phyllis also got her amnio results — everything looks fine. Whew! Then Nick walked in. He broke it to her that he and Sharon weren't getting a divorcee after all. "I hope it works out for you," Phyllis said, even though she was all torn up inside.

Phyllis thanked Michael for being there for her last night when she had the baby scare. He went with her to the doctor, where they discussed finding out the baby's paternity. "Both of these guys have moved on, but one of them is about to be tied to me forever," pontificated Phyllis.

Jack asked Carmen, who was burning the midnight oil, to have dessert with him. When she said no, he whipped out a camcorder and started taping her. Then she turned the tables on him and started taping him — and asking about Phyllis.

Sharon told Nick she'd give their marriage another shot, and admitted she understood (!) why he turned to Phyllis. Sharon even invited him back into their bedroom. They shared the good news with Noah (not about the bedroom, but about Nick moving back home). Sharon called Michael (who was with Phyllis) and told him to cancel the divorce. Michael refused to tell Phyllis what the call was about, though Phyllis put two and two together. Upstairs, Nick reprimanded Noah for downloading songs off the Internet. He said Sharon let him, resulting in another argument between Nick and Sharon. They worked it out, however, and disciplined Noah together as a couple.

Gloria was determined to get Kevin a job at Jabot. She sneered at Jana because she stood up Kevin. "You deserve better. She's a waitress," snipped Gloria, forgetting where she herself came from. Michael and Phyllis met the new girl. Later, Kevin and Jana played basketball (and kissed). Kevin was perplexed when Jana knew he and Michael had different fathers (hmmm...). Back at Crimson Lights, Gloria asked Jill to hire Kevin to oversee the Jabot Web site.

Victoria eyed the label inside the sailor's uniform, "B. Carlton," and asked Brad why he joined the Navy. He never really said, but he revealed he was stationed in the Philippines for a while. She prodded, he was cryptic. But she did get him to model the uniform for her. "Hello, sailor!" she whistled. Victoria wondered what else Brad is hiding.

EOE (end of episode), Brad and Victoria, and Jack and Carmen had sex, while Nick climbed into bed with Sharon (no sex, though). Poor pregnant Phyllis was all alone.

Brad shared with Victoria that he advised Sharon to reconsider the divorce, for Noah's sake.

Jack and Phyllis clashed while discussing NVP business; Daniel overheard him riding her and confronted Phyllis, saying she needs to quit. No need — Jack later apologized.

J.T. worked on Colleen's hard drive. She pried and tried to find out what case he's working on with Paul, but J.T. kept his mouth shut. J.T. went to Newman, where he ran into — and had words with — Brad (of course). Meanwhile, Colleen brought her flash drive (whatever that is) to Lily's. Before she could log on with Lily's computer, Daniel came home with flowers. He didn't approve of the hackers' plan to invade J.T.'s computer.

Victoria asked Brad if he ever thought of being a model. He admitted he thought about it, but it wasn't for him. Brrrring, it's Sharon, who was "confused" about the divorce. After she hung up, she decided to go out for a while instead of having dinner with Nick. Sharon went to the GCAC, where she was joined by Jack. According to Jack, less than five percent of the species on this planet are monogamous. Then they tried to dissect Nick and Phyllis' affair. Jack concluded Phyllis is afraid of intimacy, but Sharon was a little bewildered when it came to Nick because he's never been afraid of getting close to someone. But what if he fell in love, Sharon asked. As for Phyllis, "I don't think she meant to fall in love with him," Jack sighed. When Jack left, Brad called. Back at Newman, Nick walked in on Phyllis making a sandwich (remember, she's eating for two). Back at the GCAC, Brad showed up to talk to Sharon. She thanked him for helping her sort out her priorities.

A lonely Phyllis commiserated with Neil in the elevator.

EOE (end of episode), Victoria found a marine uniform in a box in Brad's closet, and Sharon informed Nick she's NOT going through with the divorce.

J.T. whined about how awkward it is checking into Brad's past. "That's what happens when you investigate your girlfriend's dad," Captain Obvious, a.k.a., Paul stated. Meanwhile, over at Daniel and Lily's, Lily helped Colleen plot to get the files off of J.T.'s super-secret-extra-mysterious laptop. (And, oh, they've got a really cute napkin holder. Props to the props people.) Coll left and Lily continued to tinker at the computer. Daniel returned home and took a suspicious look at his wife's laptop. Later, Lily dressed up for a night out with Daniel and was treated to a surprise 18th birthday party at Crimson Lights. As she blew out her candles, she gave a moving speech, thanking her friends and family. Colleen continued to snoop around J.T.'s things.

Noah gushed about his "cool" grandpa Victor to Nicholas and Sharon. (Though wouldn't Vic be much cooler if he actually allowed Noah to call him, well, "Grandpa?") After, Sharon and Nick argued over there being consistency in Noah's life. Still, Sharon stated that she hasn't changed her mind about the divorce. Nick again pleaded with her to reconsider, but she thought they were over for good. Nick reminded her of her indiscretion with Diego; Sharon thought about her recent romp with Brad. After, Sharon admitted to Carlton that Nick is right — she has no right to criticize him. Brad argued that their rendezvous wasn't just about sex because he loves her, but that he still loves Victoria, as well. He encouraged her to make up with Nick. Victoria informed Nick that she and Brad are setting up a trust for Colleen and Abby. Nick told her that there's no way Sharon is keeping him from seeing his son. Noah had a nightmare that Nick left them.

Michael accompanied Phyllis to her appointment at her OB/GYN, Dr. Thompson. (Phyll and Michael's friendship rocks.) Dr. Thompson encouraged Phyllis to take some more tests and told Michael to relax about his and Lauren's child. After, Mike brought Phyllis home for a dinner of takeout, and freaked out when the salads were left out of the order. He left to get his food; Phyll then told Lauren that she's also pregnant, and that the daddy could be Nick or Jack. Lauren was supportive of her fellow redhead; Phyllis seemed relieved to be able to confide in a woman who's going through the same thing (pregnancy, not the who's-the-daddy thing). Soon, Michael returned home with the salads and was pleased to see his two favorite ladies bonding. He and Lauren insisted that Phyll stay the night — and advised his friend to get a paternity test when she gets her amnio.
