Y&R Recaps Week of July 24, 2006

Friday, July 28, 2006
Colleen demanded Brad tell her the truth. "You need to be honest with me, first. What do you know?" Brad asked. Colleen explained what she knows, but she didn't have the whole story straight. Brad showed Colleen a picture of her real grandmother, a woman from a wealthy Italian family who loved fine art. He explained the Nazis went after his mother's family, who were all sent to concentration camps. But his mother was spared because she knew how to catalogue all the art the Nazis stole throughout Europe. "It's also the reason I had to change my name years later, to protect her, to keep her alive," he added, noting that his aunt, not mother, was killed when the Kaplan family was bludgeoned to death. As for the real Brad, "Brad was my best friend," Brad...er, George, admitted. He was struck by a car, which is when George switched identities with Brad. Got it?

Nick and Sharon sat Noah down to tell him they're getting a divorce. Noah ran off, but then he came right back. Nick and Sharon said they loved him and they'd always be there for him. "Where will I live?" Noah asked. "Right here," Sharon assured him. Noah blamed them for ruining everything. Sharon asked Nick if his new home was with Phyllis; he didn't respond. Later, at the office, Phyllis empathized with Nick over Noah. When Phyllis asked if Nick needs time, he assured her nothing's changed for him.

Drucilla bought Neil new clothes, but he wasn't interested. Meanwhile, a well-dressed man rifled through Brad's desk, until Victoria arrived and asked what he was doing there. Victoria ran home and told Brad, who announced the four of them (Colleen, Victoria and Abby) are going on a vacation to Hawaii — RIGHT NOW.

Neil confided in Phyllis about his problems with Dru, who was elsewhere planning a private dinner for two.

EOE (end of episode), Brad introduced Colleen, Victoria and Abby to his very-alive mother on the airplane, and Sharon was kidnapped when she went looking for Brad at his home but found the bad guys instead.

Colleen flashed back to the time she asked Brad about his parents. She lied when Brad called her cell and asked where she was. Colleen argued with Paul about who her father is, before finally accepting that her dad is George Kaplan. Colleen returned to Genoa City to confront Brad about his name change.

Phyllis woke up in bed with Nick. "My marriage is over and you and I are having a baby together, so whatever happens next, bring it on," Nick declared. They left for the office, where they made out in the elevator. Then they went to see Nikki and Victor to tell them he's the father of her baby — and that he and Sharon are getting a divorce. "Son, no!" Nikki yelped. Victor CONGRATULATED them both, shocking Nikki. Victor went to offer Sharon his support, then gave Phyllis advice, urging her to take care of herself and take her vitamins. Phyllis observed Jack and Victor together and smelled a rat. Then she texted Nick: "Let's sneak out of here," so they could go off and have more sex.

Victor brought his dog to work. He lied and told Nikki he took his medication. Victor couldn't stop seeing Hope, just as Jack walked in. As Jack held Zapato (Nikki handed him the dog before leading), Victor started talking to Hope. Later, Victor gave Jack a speech about meditating in the morning, then asked if Jack would take advantage of their friendship to push his new NVP agenda (hmmm, is the old Victor returning?).

Sharon phoned Brad to report she delivered the suitcase. Brad lied when Victoria asked who he was on the phone with. When Victoria ran into Sharon later, they got into it again. "I want your things cleared out of the office by the end of the day," Vic hissed.

[Speaking of great lines... Later, Sharon to Nikki: "There's one good thing about this divorce: You won't be my mother-in-law anymore." Ouch!]

Victoria remarked to Nick that maybe everyone is better off if Sharon is out of the family. Nick told Victoria not to place all the blame on Sharon, who, by the way, was in Brad's office offering support on the situation with his past. Sharon agreed to help him, so he gave her an assignment: deliver a mysterious bag.

Gloria promised Kevin she'd help him with the Alex situation. Gloria thought they could learn something from The Godfather trilogy! Daniel arrived to brainstorm too while Alex broke into the loft and stole Lily's brush (creepy). Back at the GCAC, Gloria caved and agreed to give the boys the money they needed to pay off Alex. But when Daniel left, she told Kevin she had another idea.

Daniel chased Lily around the loft before A.J. (a.k.a. Alex) called about the "tape delivery." Daniel quickly called Kevin and hightailed it over to the GCAC.

Dru felt out Carmen. "You seem to be handling everything," Dru remarked about Carmen's latest work, and then suggested they do lunch some time. When Lily arrived, Carmen laid it on thick by complimenting the teen's jewelry. Dru smelled a rat, so she asked Sharon if she's noticed anything going on between Neil and Carmen. Later, Dru tried to seduce Neil in his office by straddling him in his chair. When Neil turned her down flat, Dru confronted him about Carmen.

Nick informed Phyllis that he and Sharon are getting a divorce. Phyllis said she was sorry (and seemed to mean it). Nick didn't blame Phyllis for the end of his marriage, stating, "You were never the problem, Phyllis. You were a symptom." Phyllis said they should keep things the way they are, for the baby's sake. Then he went to the ranch to pack and ran into Sharon. They agreed not to tell Noah anything until after the boy returned from basketball camp.

EOE (end of episode), Sharon left to deliver Brad's package, while Nick went to Phyllis' and asked if he can crash THERE. And then they kissed passionately.

Brad revealed to Sharon that Victoria knows they kissed. Sharon couldn't believe Victoria wasn't more upset. Brad assured her that he didn't tell Vic that they slept together in New York. Brad changed the subject to Sharon and Nick; she revealed they're getting a divorce. Later, Sharon apologized to Victoria for her inappropriate behavior. Victoria was having none of it. "You'd better not come after Brad to satisfy your need for man," warned Victoria, who then FIRED Sharon from Newman Cosmetics. Sharon went to Jack and shared that she now has more time to work on NVP since she's no longer working for Newman. She added that she and Nick were getting a divorce. A suspicious Jack stopped by Brad's office to make small talk, such as...who will be the next spokeswoman for Newman? Meanwhile, Sharon reported to Dru that Phyllis is pregnant with Nick's baby. Dru to Neil later: "Phyllis can't keep her thighs together."

Daniel covered when Alex called, but Lily sensed something was up. He later confided in Jack, who urged Daniel to tell Lily the truth. Daniel called Lily and said he needed to talk to her.

Colleen flew to Cleveland to help find J.T., who was being held captive by a well-dressed man in a warehouse. Paul was appalled when she showed up. When Lily called Colleen, Colleen shared that J.T. is missing. She and Paul combed through the files again, looking for clues. Paul began to wonder if Brad killed the Kaplans and the real Brad Carlton. Back at the warehouse, the well-dressed man shared with J.T. that a pretty brunette showed up at the hotel room.

Carmen joined Neil for breakfast at the GCAC, while Dru cooked an omelet for Lily back at the apartment. Dru then went to the office, where she ran into Carmen and Neil and wondered if something's up with them.

EOE (end of episode), Brad almost told Sharon the truth about his past, while the well-dressed man called Colleen so she could hear J.T.'s voice.

Nick was about to tell Victoria about Brad and Sharon when Brad showed up. Brad whisked Victoria away to tell her the truth himself: He was trying to calm down Sharon but kissed her in the process. Victoria was livid. Brad lied when she asked if he's ever had sex with Sharon. Nick saw Victoria storming off and stopped her. She asked Nick to tell her exactly what she saw in that car, and wondered why Nick wasn't so angry. Nick admitted he's known something has been going on between them for a while. Nick went back home; Sharon tried to apologize but Nick said they didn't need to talk about anyone else right now. "We're not the same people that we were a year ago," Sharon declared (like it was a news flash). Nick suggested they end their marriage. "So I'll call my lawyer in the morning," Sharon surmised tearfully. Meanwhile, Brad went back to the office and found Victoria. Brad blamed the kiss on her fling with J.T. "Now we're even and we can move on," Victoria announced.

At the GCAC bar, Jack "congratulated" Nick on being the father. When Jack left to meet someone for lunch to find out more about Victor's condition, Phyllis showed up and told Nick that Jack was upset he's not the father. They recalled where it all started — Michael's bachelor party when they played poker.

Lauren wanted Michael go to New Orleans to look for his father, so she bought him a plane ticket. Michael was moved to tears. Michael remembered how as a little boy he used to pray his father would walk through the door and save them from Terrible Tom. "Only one problem — I'm chicken," Michael admitted when he was deciding whether to go.

Victor asked Sharon if she wanted to play a game (!) to get her mind off Nick and Phyllis. Then he started to pontificate about life and love. Then Jack stopped by to discuss business, but Victor realized Jack was "concerned" about his state of mind. Victor thanked Jack for helping him, and revealed he threw the pills away. "Very clever," Jack applauded.

Paul asked Colleen if she's heard from J.T.; she was concerned about his whereabouts. Colleen admitted she knows about the investigation. When Paul said he was going to Cleveland, Colleen wanted to go with him. Paul wouldn't let her. Paul arrived in Cleveland to find J.T.'s room ransacked — with no sign of J.T. Paul called Colleen and tried to cover, but she knew something was up. Cut to a warehouse, where J.T. was bound and gagged.
