Y&R Recaps Week of November 27, 2006Friday, December 1, 2006 Ji Min told Jack he thought they made a mistake cutting the N.V.P./Jabot tie. Jack met with Nikki and Phyllis about doing another photo shoot with Sharon. "How about we change the name of the company name to J retreats?" Phyllis snarked. Phyllis left and ran into Sharon and bickered (again) with her. Meanwhile, Nikki gave Jack a piece of her mind. "Victor was very ill when he sold you N.V.P.," she reminded. "You are really unhappy, Nikki," Jack retorted. "Please feel free to quit." Nikki went and found Sharon, because "you're the one who pulls his strings." They got into it, like the good ol' days. Meow!
End of episode, Devon told Dru he's been trying to find Yolanda.
Thursday, November 30, 2006 Esther tried to figure out the meaning behind Katherine's dreams. Katherine wondered if Jill isn't her daughter after all. Then they searched for the ring that was in her dream. Finally, Kay spotted it in a photo of her and Phillip. Gloria fished about Will with Jill. Jill wondered if Gloria's new look had something to do with a new man. Will questioned students from Devon's history class. He also questioned Phyllis and Jack. Phyllis had a meltdown over her contractions. "I have stretch marks because of you!" she yelled at Nick. (Later, she wanted to have sex with him though because she read somewhere that it induced labor.) Then she ripped into Jack over NVP business. Meanwhile, Kevin hacked into Jack's bank records. "This is beyond illegal," Michael remarked. Kevin saw that Jack transferred a large amount of money recently — to Carmen Mesta. Michael ran and told Victor. Jack saw him leaving Victor's office and got suspicious. Victor called a meeting with Jack and their senator over the NVP zoning problem. "Victor, I've done everything I can, but the land is protected," the senator said. Jack, however, had done his homework — he revealed the problem was not an environmental issue, but the senator's reluctance to cross one of his large contributors. Victor asked to be left alone with the senator, at which point he demanded the politician fix the problem. Daniel decked a guy at school who was picking on Devon. Campus police called Phyllis, ruining her best-laid plans to induce labor. Phyllis was relieved to find out that no charges had been filed against her son.
Wednesday, November 29, 2006 Colleen called J.T. to say she was going to be late because she was doing schoolwork with Adrian. Colleen asked Adrian to not push her grandmother when he spoke with her. Colleen fished around for information about Adrian's parents, but he was cagey. "Unlike your grandmother, Colleen, I didn't agree to an interview," he snapped. Later, Colleen asked J.T. To investigate Korbel. Jill asked Katherine if she want to play Scrabble. Katherine told her to go have fun with Will. So she did, and asked Will why he's been so distant since their night together. "That night stirred up a lot of feelings," he admitted. "You're the first woman I've been with that way since Miranda died." Will asked her to bear with him. Then they left to make an appearance at Indigo. End of episode, Adrian fished around about Carmen's murder, while J.T. Asked Colleen how deep he wants her to dig.
Tuesday, November 28, 2006 Meanwhile, back at Newman, Victor also disagreed with Jack's decision to pull the plug on the deal. "Stop second-guessing the new owner of the company," said Victor, defending Mr. Kim (who, by the way, was back at Jabot informing Ashley what happened. "Why wasn't I consulted?" she railed). Later, Jack and Ji Min touched base, continuing their ruse. Victor barged in, cutting the conversation short. Victor gave Jack something John had given him as a gift years ago. Jack was moved (and feeling guilty?). When Victor returned to his office, Ashley stopped by. She was looking for Jack, so Victor took her to him — and she blasted him for cutting the tie-in. Victoria questioned why Paul would work for the Winters family, given what he knows about Brad. Brad kicked himself from getting caught on a surveillance tape. Michael tracked Paul down at Crimson Lights. Paul made believe he didn't get Michael's messages. "I can't interview Brad on your behalf," Paul explained, but not telling him why. Michael left to find Brad, who dodged his questions. End of episode, Victor shared with Nikki that Jack didn't back off his decision; Jack explained the method to his madness to Ji Min and Ashley; Victoria and Brad compared notes; J.T. and Paul wondered if Brad killed Carmen.
Monday, November 27, 2006 Nikki and Victor discussed Jack and Ji Min's tussle over Sharon's photo shoot. Nikki thought it could have been an act, and Victor agreed. Jack phoned Ji Min and told him that Michael was digging around to see if anyone other than Devon wanted Carmen out of the picture. The more he and Ji Min looked like enemies, the less likely Michael would delve into their business matters. Sharon arrived, followed by Brad and Devon, who noted that he was getting on with his life instead of staying home, worrying. After Sharon and Devon left, a man came in with the sexy photos of Sharon that Jack rejected and WEREN'T to be used in the U.S. Ji Min appeared, noting that these new ads had nothing to do with NVP and Jabot had every right to use Sharon's image. Jill asked Jack to be reasonable, but he vowed to block this. Jack discussed the situation with Victor, who advised him to ease off and focus on NVP. Jill summoned Sharon and told her that Ji Min still planned to use the sexy shots Jack and Sharon rejected for use in the U.S. Nikki perused the sexy Sharon photos and agreed that they were the ones to go with. Then, she stormed into Jack's office and demanded to know what he was up to. "If we advertise ourselves as a sedate spa where the ladies lunch, we will never survive," insisted Nikki. Sharon walked in and called Phyllis' campaign "trashy." Nikki dismissed her input. Jack said he valued it more than Ji Min's. After chatting with Rebecca, Professor Korbel told Colleen that her grandmother's life story would make a fascinating paper. He wanted to call her to set up an interview. Colleen asked him not to; there wasn't a story to tell. Later, Colleen filled Brad in on her chat with Korbel. Brad told Victoria about Korbel's desire to interview Rebecca and how something like that couldn't be published. There were still people looking for George Kaplan and his mother. Brad suspected Korbel could be one of them. Michael summoned Devon to his office, where he explained how his DNA got under Carmen's fingernails: She'd scratched him, when they were in the elevator at Newman Enterprises and both reached to retrieve papers that fell. Devon explained about the trash bags and his fingerprints being on Carmen's phone. Michael said that he'd insert as much reasonable doubt into every piece of evidence the prosecution presented. Meanwhile, Paul pressed Brad about being at Carmen's hotel room. Brad reluctantly 'fessed up. On the day Carmen was murdered, he and Victoria had been discussing Brad's other identity when he realized Vikki's office intercom was on and Carmen was outside the door. Brad went to Carmen's to find out what she'd heard, but never saw her. Brad begged Paul not to tell Michael or everything could unravel. Later, Michael left Paul a message noting that Brad might be their best hope for creating reasonable doubt for Devon. Jack summoned Jin Mi back to his office and noted that he was violating the spirit of their agreement by using Sharon in the new Jabot ads. Victor interrupted and admitted that he wasn't happy with the progression of things. Nikki showed him the ad with Sharon, and he thought it was good. Victor insisted that this was Ji Min's call and it would be a mistake to pull out of their tie-in. Jack insisted he could no longer work with Ji Min. Rebecca phoned Korbel, noting that Colleen had passed along the message that he wanted to interview her. Korbel promised to get back to her. When Rebecca hung up, Brad noted that they'd have to decide which parts of her story she could share, while Colleen fretted that this could be a big mistake.
